A New Titan
Date of Scene: 04 May 2021
Location: Lobby, Titans Tower
Synopsis: Kory meet Willow in Titans Tower.
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Willow Rosenberg

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r hmmmms happily as she flops in the living room, wearing a mustard-yellow sundress, scrithcing.... what looks like a giant worm or moth larva.... behind the ears as she's trying to get it to eat out of a can of tuna. "OH, come on, it's in oil this time. I thought it'd help your complexion..." she coaxes as she's kneeling there, trying to get that.... creature.... to eat the tuna. "See, look?" she cooks as she scoops out a bit and eats it herself. "Yum." She offers her hand for the Silkie to lick.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
This is the first time Willow's been in the Titan's Tower without an escort. And she obviously didn't pay enough attention before.. *Finally* her feet carry her to the living room. "Ohh, I remember."

And then, she sees Kory.

"Oh, hi? Am I in your space? Hi, I'm Willow. Supergirl introduced me.. and I can't remember if I met you."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks as she hears an unfamiliar voice. She looks up, eyebrow raised. She assumes that you're here for a reason and doesn't question it. "Hello, Willow. You must be new around here. I think I saw a report about you joining the Titans. Just remmeber that name. Like those trees that everyone says are so sad." She nods slowly. "I am Koriand'r - or you can call me Kory or Starfire. And this is the Silkie." The Silkie doesn't look up - deciding that the tuna is safe to eat, the love bug is scarfing it gdown, and is now chewing on the can. "Trying a new food today."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Do you have a preferred name?" Willow was very big on preferred names. "And yes, I'm brand spanking new, except Supergirl met me on the Justice League. But she said this was more my age group." The 'Teen Titan's' were definitely more her age, even if they really were young adults, not teens.

She laughs. First at the love bug eating the can. And secondly, the thought of the willow being sad. "I always found them to be restful trees. I guess with a name like 'weeping willow' maybe. But, actually, it was associated with Hecate, goddess of wild places and childbirth. Then they became known as the goddess of witches and ghosts. Weird when you think about my parents. Even today they don't know I'm a witch." Well, sorta.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Ah. I am not familiar with Terran mythology," she muses softly. "And you should meet Friend Raven. You two should get along well - she is into magic as well. If you wish to be formal, while off-duty Koriand'r - while in the field Starfire." She smiles. "I know how to be formal - I am a princess after all. "Willow Rosenberg, was it?" She smiles. "I'm certain that Kara had her reasons in recruiting you. Can you demonstrate something?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I was on the team that saved Superman when he was on Apokolips. I was one of the two who made the portal from here to there." Yes, Willow says it as though she doesn't get the immense power that she wielded that day. Not because she's too stuck up, but because she *really* doesn't get the enormous she put out. "I guess I could give you an example?"

Willow held out her hand, and from it, began to spin light orbs that began to move out and dance before they exploded in a myriad of colours.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just stares, dumbstruck. "A portal... from APOKOLIPS to here?" she asks. "That's... madness. That's over a thousand light-years. Even starships would take weeks to get there." She just stares. "Well.... sorry, Ms. Rosenberg, but an interstellar portal is far more impressive than that light-show. You are a powerful young lady." She sounds stunned.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
The fact is Willow *was* powerful.. except she really didn't know just how powerful she was. Then, she was needed.. so.. she did what had to be done, without thinking. Good thing too! Most of the time, if she thought too much, she was riddled with self doubt and overcome by insecurity.

She blushes. "Oh, well, it was just the once? Anyways, that's why Supergirl invited me here."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "A good reason indeed. I have always found my teammates having excellent judgement." She hmmmms. "Just never forget that everyone has a role to play - every one has a purpose." She offers the Silkie to Willow - who is drooling a bit. "Would you care to hold the Silkie?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Uh.." And before Willow can say yay or nay, she is holding the silkie! Who is drooling all over her. "Eww?" She giggles at the silkie. Then, "Trust me, I'm used to standing back while other people do their things. If one person could do all the things, the rest of us would be out of jobs. Besides, I really don't like beating people up!"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles softly. "Just don't be ashamed to do your thing. From a brief meeting, it seems you lack confidence. Perhaps we can do something to make you more sure...." She smiles as she watches the Silkie gurgle happily in Willow's arms. "He likes to be scratched behind the ears."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Like this?" Willow tickles his ears, then tickles under the chin as well. "I'm trying. To be self-confident. It's not as easy as you might think."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "I understand. Everyone has had issues of self-doubting." She sighs softly, rubbing her forehead. "Even me. But I do not wish to burden you with my story." She smiles softly as she stretches. "Would you care for a beverage?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Ooo, a beverage. Do you like coffee?" Willow cants her head. "Why would you consider it a burden? I mean, don't tell me if you don't want you, but, well, doesn't it help when you can share it?" Very carefully, so as not to disturb the Silkie, Willow sat down opposite to Koriand'r, and smiles.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods as she heads into the kitchen. "I like it black. It is sweet to me." She returns with two cups of black coffee - though Kory's smells a bit odd. She takes a sip. "Ah... delicious..." she muses.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow takes her coffee with a smile. "Thanks! Now you tell me something about you!"
