Cast of Characters: Storm, Archangel, Rogue, Rage

Storm has posed:
It's a strange thing; feeling the sun rise when there are goals to meet. The night before, Ororo was already in the planning stages of what was to come next for those friends of hers, and what needed to be done. Planning was meticulous in a sense that she had everything mapped out in her head but has yet to speak a word of it. And when she was ready, it was like a hot fire of inspiration touching upon her skin. Caressing her cheek, luring her from the bed to grab her phone to send off a text.

Who would answer the call or be up early enough, was another matter.

Incentives for this early meeting was required; so she set to the kitchen to get to work. Loaves of bread dipped into a lovely milk, egg, and cinnamon batter. Fried in butter. Bacon flat and pressed, set into the oven. Sausage, fried and smothered with gravy simmers on the stove to keep hot. Hashbrowns, seasoned with enough sprinkles that the ancestors told her to quit or she'd kill them all were hot, piping and ready.

Waffles? Yes please! Belgium style of course.

Biscuits were in the oven to 'sop' up the sausage and gravy, but you also have the croissants. Soft and buttery, pulled before it gets too crisp which would ruin the whole spread. And last but not least? Eggs. Everyone knows that eggs come last; the hardened shells left in the carton and on the counter tops so that if someone wanted them? They would be piping hot.

Over easy. Scrambled. Medium Over. Sunny side up. If anyone wanted it they got it.

The only thing that was probably missing from this spread were pancakes. And only because they were annoying.

Archangel has posed:
Wandering into the kitchen wearing a pair of sleeping pants and a loose fitting a-frame shirt, Warren looks to be following his nose rather than any text or other method of being coaxed out out his room this early in the morning. Yawning and stretching both his arms and his wings over his head in the spacious kitchen, the billionaire sleepily heads for the giver of black life-blood, the coffee machine.

He gives Ororo a passing smile, "Hey 'Ro. Morning," he comments as he starts the process of making the coffee to his liking. A little cream with a lot of sugar. The first sip beings a satisfied groan of pleasure from his throat, finally taking the time to look over the spread. "You did all this? What's the occasion?"

Rogue has posed:
When a team leader sends out a text message, it's usually in someone's best interest to actually get up and follow the text message itself. Rogue is soon padding her way into the kitchen after getting dressed for the occasion. Instead of her normal body suit, however, she's wearing socks, leggings, a long sleeved black shirt with a red tee shirt over it that reads Southern Hospitality : This ain't yo' mama's chicken and grits., and a pair of black gloves. Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail and she looks over to both Ororo and Warren as she wanders into the kitchen. "M'here. I think. I might still be asleep and sleep walkin'. S'pose we'll see in a moment." No coffee for her, she and Sam have been doing good on keeping a pitcher filled with sweet tea in the fridge, which is what any self respecting southerner could hope to drink at any time of day. "Also, morning."

Rage has posed:
Into the kitchen is a familiar face and one who isn't living here anymore. It's Andrea, dressed in a pair of snug workout shorts and a matching sports bra under an off the shoulder Xavier t-shirt. She even has on a pair of sneakers. The scars along her stomach and arms are on display, dug deep into her flesh. She looks a bit out of breath, her hair sweaty and pulled back into a pony tail. "Hey guys." She calls over to the three X-Men as she lifts a hand upwards.

Storm has posed:
Ororo herself was dressed casually. Hair in her usual bonnet, though this time to keep some from falling in, plain white t-shirt with grey wash pajama pants. Slippers too. She was clearly not dressed for the day, for she brushed her teeth, washed her face and went straight to work. Warren's arrival was met with a smile, and a nod. "Yes. If I'm going to call a secret meeting of dastardly designs, I will need to ply those who arrive with a feast." She gestures, then moves towards the coffee pot to wait for her turn.

Coffee. Yes. She wanted to nurse it.

After her cup was poured, she settles upon a chair, not close to the table, but in the middle of the stove to cook, and the others. "Grand risings, Marie. Grand risings, Andrea." The cup of pitch black coffee was lifted, and then sipped.

Then she frowns. "Why is this weak?" She shakes her head, then gestures. "Please. Feast. If you'd like eggs, let me know. We can discuss matters while I cook."

Archangel has posed:
Sipping from his own Cup, Warren chuckles to the weather goddess as he wanders over towards the buffet of food, "I suppose, but you may have outdone yourself here, 'Ro. Unless a bottomless pit like Logan shows up, this is food enough for days."

Warren fixes himself a plate before taking up a position near Ororo, leaning against the counter and starting to munch on a strip of bacon as he lets his wings serve as a cushion for his back. The arrivals get nods of greeting, "Hey Rogue, Andrea. Mornin'. I'm sure there is enough food here that you can help yourself if you like."

Rogue has posed:
Ice goes into glass, tea follows to fill the glass of ice, and the southern belle is satisfied. Once Rogue replaces the pitcher in the fridge, she wordlessly grabs a plate and a few bits and pieces to munch through. A little bit of everything, because why not, and then she takes her piled plate and glass of tea to a side of the kitchen island not being used and takes advantage of being a flier to hover in mid air and cross legged before digging into her meal. "It smelled great, it tastes amazing, and I'm definitely all for being bought with food to wake up early...but what gives, 'Ro? Everything alright?"

Rage has posed:
"Jay and I came by to visit with Sam and I figured I'd abuse your gym." Andrea says as she heads over to pick up a glass of water and fill it with ice. "Man, I miss you guys. Free breakfast was always a win when I was living here." She says as she takes a sip of water, giving an amused smile towards them.

"How have you guys been doing? I see the school hasn't been blown up since I graduated." Her brows give a playful lift upwards, clinking the ice around in her glass as she swivels her wrist a few times.

Storm has posed:
"Logan or some random teenager." Bottomless pits indeed. Ororo crosses one leg over the other as she watches, then immediately shakes her head towards Rogue. "Oh oh oh, nothing dire, trust me." She waves the idea off, but has to laugh towards Andrea's comments. "It's even rare when -I- cook, and I normally hate it."

Ororo didn't have to say it, so far everyone was doing well. But she does get to the point of the matter, so that people can feast while thinking.

"I'm fine." She states. "This is about Scott and Jean and their impending nuptuals. Warren had the idea to fly down to Africa.. but.. I think we should make it a group vacation." She nods slightly. "We aren't going to impede on their honeymoon if they choose to have it, this will occur afterwards. I almost want to lodge it as an incentive for them to hurry up but.." She shrugs her shoulders. "But the group trip, I want it to be a surprise. The entire experience has to be magnificent as a gift to them. And a 'get away from the troubles of the world' for us."

Rogue has posed:
"I mean, I could probably take out a fourth of what's here myself because it's all so good, and m'hungry, and I'm not carin' about my calorie intake this early..." Rogue offers with a laugh. Then she nods to Andrea. "Yeah, 'bout the same as the others. With a few road bumps on my end, but nothin' I caint handle..." She offers, washing down what she's eaten so far with a couple swallows of tea.

As Ororo chimes in on what this little meeting is about, she perks up a bit. "Well ain't that a thought to have. Prolly would be nice for the handful of us to go do something somewhere and not have to worry about most things for a while." She shovels a bit more egg and biscuit into her mouth, but with a grace that seems almost unreal. After a moment she adds, "Is Africa our point of pleasure? Or is that still up in the air too?"

Rage has posed:
"I did a charity concert in Africa once. Was fun. I hope you guys love the trip." Andrea says as she hops on the edge of the counter, taking a swig of water from her glass. "Everyone is really nice there, just plan on a ton of bug spray if you go exploring. Tour guiding is fun but the locusts are the size of mini-vans out there."

Archangel has posed:
Warren ahs as Ororo starts to talk about the plans, "Well, the original idea was for me and Ro to take a flight there, give her a chance to visit her homeland, the idea kind of grew from there," admits Warren with a slight shrug of his shoulder. "But since I own the company that owns the plane, it isn't any extra expense to fly multiple people. I guess this is starting to become a 'more the merrier' situation." He lifts his coffee to his lips and glances over towards Ororo for a moment before turning to the others again and starting to chew on another slice of bacon.

Storm has posed:
"By all means, eat it all." Waste not, want not. Plus, there is nothing wrong with an after-the-breakfast snooze. Which Ororo was going to take herself.

"Africa would be our point of pleasure, yes. As much as I would like everyone to see my village, we should probably visit Ethiopia. A few years ago they've gotten their first escalator, I think it warrants a look for us." She grins at that, then wriggles in her chair.

"We will have to bring you something back, Andrea, unless you're going too?"

Ororo now glances up towards Warren, then gives him a nudge with her elbow. "We can still go first. We haven't picked a destination just yet. Alkebulan is large and there is a lot to cover."

Archangel has posed:
:glances back over to Ororo and nods with a smile. "Oh, I know. You just need to let me know when you want to go. You said this week, but I wasn't sure if that was serious or not, but have plane will travel. I already ordered the crates of honey roasted peanuts you requested." He gives the African goddess a wink as he lifts his coffee to his lips to take a sip.

"As for the 'gift' trip, I just need to know a location and a date. Hell, I don't even really need to know a location until we are in the air, it just makes it easier to know ahead of time for fuel weight and amount."

Rogue has posed:
"You can definitely count me in on the gift trip. I think it'll be fun..." Rogue offers as she continues to munch down breakfast. She doesn't really have anything more to add. Listen to the proposition, agree to go, finish breakfast, go crash again. All in all, not too shabby of a start to the morning. Oh, and sweet tea. That makes everything better.

Then she thinks on it. "Should we poke those who aren't here this morning? Though I assume we'd have to be careful so there's still staff here at the school in case things decide to go tits up while any handfuls of us are gone..."

Storm has posed:
"Mm. Possibly Thursday." Well, it -was- this week. In a sense, Ororo was half joking, half not. But they were going to do it, so it was going to be a Thursday. Payday, for most. "I suppose we'll figure out the 'where' once we get there. There are a few places I'd like to go to make sure."

Ororo thinks about this now, leaning back within her chair then gives a nod. "I'm sure a few would stay behind. Staff, that is. I will speak to a few to make sure that we can at least get a few trusted substitutes to look after the children."

She stands from her chair now, giving herself a deep stretch. "Those that aren't here, give them a poke. Preferrably the ones who have a strong will and can avoid Jean without raising suspicion. The rest we'll get tag them at the wedding reception. I'm going to take a shower. Please enjoy the breakfast."

Ororo bows her head and takes her leave, because there was more work to do than she would have liked.
