Dagger has posed:
It's a beautiful Monday morning in New York City and Tandy Bowen is currently sitting on the steps of the Holy Ghost Church, eating a bagel and watching the world go by as citizens go to work, or the homeless wander along the sidewalks. Hell's Kitchen is a different world during the day, though that doesn't make it safe. It's just a little bit less scary. She takes a bite, chewing a few times thoughtfully before her nose scrunches up. It's a few days old, but still edible.

Dressed in a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt, she doesn't stand out much as she normally would in costume with flashing lights and a sword cut through the front of her uniform. She's just any normal girl most likely in college, or working a minimum wage slave job. Toying with a ball of light along her fingers, she moves it back and forth across her knuckles, not minding the stares of those who pass by.

She's probably one of those mutants.

Spider-Man has posed:
Swinging into action! Or into a spot for conversation! Anyway, Spidey's shows up at the old church for some chit-chat with Dagger. He drops behind the building and uses the back door to enter, not wanting to draw attention to himself. Then, he gets changed into something a bit less conspicuous than his superheroing attire. Namely, jeans and a button up shirt.

He exits the front door of the church to join Tandy on the steps, "Good morning, sunshine! How's life treating you?"

Dagger has posed:
Glancing over her shoulder as Peter Parker exits the front door to join her, Tandy raises her brows upwards at him, then leans back to flick the light blob to the side with a paf. "Life is life. You know how it is. It's just crazy to think that this place is a different world at night. One filled with horror and sin." There's a slight tick in her cheek before she shakes her head. "Got a visit from Strange a few days ago. He wants to get together again and talk more about Cloak's .. um.. hunger issues. Also Iron Fist wants to train the two of us."

Tilting her head over towards him, she shifts her weight some with an amused look on her face. "Kinda feels like we got a little thing being put together. Those that are looking to defend the streets. Was thinking of getting all of us together in one room and see if we get along or punch each other in the face."

Spider-Man has posed:
"Iron Fist seems like a good guy," Peter says as he moves to take a seat on the stairs near his friend. "And more training never hurt anybody. It's always good to learn some new moves."

His head nods, "We should try to meet up. Team-ups usually help us take on bigger problems than we can face on our own. And I hardly ever punch other heroes in the face. I'm everyone's favorite Spider-Man after all. Kids and superheroes love me."

Dagger has posed:
"Oh yeah, /everyone/ loves you." Tandy says with a smirk. "You catch today's Daily Bugle? Spider-Menace bungles bank robbery." She leans over to bump her shoulder against his. "If you ever want me to punch that guy in the face, I'll do it for you. His moustache is stupid looking."

She flicks out another blob of light from her fingers, blowing some blonde hair away from her face as the wind whips it into her eyes. "Cloak isn't really a team-up kinda guy. I think he only does it to make me happy. If we're going to purge this city of those who seek to hurt children and the addicted, we can't do it on our own."

Spider-Man has posed:
"Can't have you punching the guy who signs my paychecks," Peter replies to Tandy with a grin. "Plus, he's harmless. Everyone knows that every news outlet is fake news, right? You can only trust social media." He is clearly joking.

"Yeah, there's a lot of people out there who need protection and only so many heroes out willing to do it. If we can get together and figure out how best to tackle these issues we can improve our ability to help people."

Dagger has posed:
"Yeah, well, not everyone can put on spandex and fight aliens." Tandy says with a smirk as she takes another bite of her bagel, wrinkling her nose before she lobs it down the sidewalk so that the pigeons can chase after it. She gives a lick of the last of the crumbs away from her lips.

"You think all news is fake? I never thought much about it, I guess. I don't even use social media." She says with a laugh. "I think I have something out there from when I was a kid, I don't even remember."

Spider-Man has posed:
Chuckling a little bit, Parker says, "Spandex makes you a more effective fighter, ya' know." Then he nods his head, "Gotta admit it shows off the old Spider-muscles pretty well, too."

then there's another laugh, "The news is as reliable as the guys writing it and editing it, so you're liable to get a bunch of truths and half truths from more reputable papers. Unless Spider-Man comes up in the Bugle, then you gotta be a really discerning reader."

Dagger has posed:
"Yes, you have great spider muscles. Very handsome." Tandy says with a roll of her eyes upwards and to the side, followed by a laugh. "I suppose it's a lot more effective than mine. It's just a leotard. It's cheap and it's the best I could come up with. Doesn't even hide my identity. Guess I could wear a paperbag into battle." She says as her lips curve upwards.

"I think real New Yorkers know who Spider-Man really is. It's just that crazy makes money. It's why magazines like The Sun is still around, or those other fake ones that talk about aliens being inside the Queen and controlling the government." She says with a giggle. "So, what are you up to today? Got big plans?"
