Location: X-Corporation Headquarters, Bushwick
Synopsis: She got the Job
Cast of Characters: Sunspot, Pixie

Sunspot has posed:
It's after hours and Berto is seated in the lobby, finishing up a last minute debrief with his leadership team. It a round table discussion very informal, though Roberto is still wearing a suit but his ties is folded as a pocket square. He runs the meeting but smiles when he sees you walk in, and holds up a finger as he finished a conversation, standing and making his way to the atrium. Hands in pockets, "Hey Megs, you wanted a look around?" He gives you a warm smile.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn had promised to check out this X-Corp thing, and after some pondering she had headed to the headquarters to see wha this place is like for herself. Of course Megan had also agreed to work there, because she needed the job. Hopefully this won't be a mistake though.

Unfortunately she gets there right as the place closes for business and peeks in the window, "Helloo? Anybody hooome?" although it seems he has noticed her and Megan finds to her surprise that the door is open.

As she steps in, she smiles and nods to her, "Hii, Berto. How goes? Bad time?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and gives an informal little bow, "Not at all, Abelhao. You wanted the tour? It's much less impressive after hours but much quieted and easier to navigate." He motions you to follow and heads into the large open space, "This is intake."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn oohs, "Yeah, this is actually a nice place, although I hope I'm dressed okay. Wasn't sure if it's an overly formal office setting or not." she'd tried to play it safe, wearing a crisp white blouse paired with navy knee length skirt and navy blazer. "I kinda dressed for an inteerview, since you probably still have questions for me." still, she can talk and walk, and peers around as she follows him into the open space, nodding as she takes everything in.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and stops to regard you, he nods, "You are the picture of interview ettiquette, though I would say that you need a necklace of scarf and perhaps some earrings, simple. Just to pull things together." He smiles and turns to the space, "This is intake where we, intake new candidates, creative I know." He flashes a grin, "We get there information to do an initial screening and get them prepped for a battery of tests to establish the nature and extent of their abilities, this will lead us eventually to level two."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn oohs, "Yeaah I probably should have, though Yknow, all my jewelry is kinda bright and over the top.." she wrinkles her nose at that but nods and follows, "Ooh, so a test of sorts. What are you testing for, exactly? To see if they're worthy of xmen?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles, and shakes his head, "No, we deal with the 90-95% of mutants who aren't combat ready. The one's who die the living and dying in this workaday world." He grins, jogs up a set of stairs to the second floor, "That's the nature of the work we're helping them adjust to a society which thnks all mutants are X-Men and is ready to hate and fear them based on that alone.. course if the occasional combat ready mutant does come across out desks, we don't hesitate to give the school a call."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn hmms and nods thoughtfully, following him up the stairs. Thankfully her skirt has a bit of flare to it so even though she's wearing a bit of a heel on her dress shoes, they are chunky enough that, with the flared skirt, she's not tripping over herself. Hey, she can be graceful when she wants!

"Ah, right, that makes sense. I mean it's hard when you have powers that are useless, or obvious but more of a hindrance than anything..Actually that's funny, I was just in mutant town, talking to Alice about that..We even bumped into Magneto while we were there, too..."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa notices you struggle with the stairs and slows his pace, "Sorry." He nods, "Yes, that's why we closed early, didn't need Eric Proselytizing on our doorstep." He smiles, "Alice is a prime example, though she has made herself into a formidable combatant. Useless is really a matter of perspective and a viewpoint we try to shy away from here, we're trying to use the lends of in what arena is this power useful. Though honestly, for some mutations, there is the need for mediation, through holistic techniques and sometimes even medication.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn probably should have opted for pants with all these stairs though she does giggle and shrugs, reaching out for the railing to steady herself, "I'm okay! Lots of stairs though. Makes for a nice view.."Nashe pauses to peer over the balcony.

"But I guess that's true, I mean, just cuz not all mutants are battle ready doesn't make em useless. Although I always wanted to be a superhero, so nit having some cool offensive ability meant I had to think creatively in a fight."

Still she nods and smiles, "So maybe that makes me a good fit, I can help teach mutants how they can use their powers in every day life, heck, even being green or moulding plastics has its uses, right?" she sighs, pausing, "I wonder if we'd compete with Genosha?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and stands a respectful distance from Megan, at the railing, looking out at the view, he smiles, "You know I don't take enough time to appreciate it. Thank you, well, we're not trying to compete with Genosha, at least not yet, that's the economies as a whole problem, right now we're focused on one part of it, one neighborhood, and we spread out from there, first national, then international and eventually, maybe we're showing Genosha a thing or two." He shrugs, "Yes, so tell me what skills you have that would make you a valuable asset to this organization?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn hmms, "Well, like I said, I'm not a super powerful, super aggressive mutant. Heck, my powers aren't largely combat based so maybe that makes me less intimidating. People find it easier to trust less intimidating people." she bites her lip, clasping her hands behind her back as she thinks.

"Im currently studying drama, and music in college on top of working for the Xmen, I guess I have experience in working with mutants as a professional heroine, as well as studying among them as a student at Xavier's. But aside from that, I've spent lots of time in Mutant Town, where Rahne Sinclair lives. I've helped her out a bit in reaching out to the common mutant there, in helping them with day to day problems, be it helping in busting up a mutant harvesting ring, or talking to people at the Starlight clinic, reassuring their nerves when they're considering getting their powers restored after all DAMT did. Sooo I guess in general, what I'm saying is that I've spent a lot of my time reaching out to all mutants, no matter how powerful or insignificant they seem. I know their issues and I've walked among them without separating myself as an Xman."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and nods, "An excellent answer. Very good, so can you tell me a time you've made a mistake and the steps you took to rectify it?" Berto runs you through a few more interview questions, then smiles and offers you his hand, "Excellent, Ms. Gwynn, you've got the job. When does school end? Shall we say June?"
