Cast of Characters: Antigravity, SpyderByte

Antigravity has posed:
Rosie had been back in class for nearly the week now. She was studious, she was answering questions with the same degree of enthusiasm, and she seemed perfectly fine after the ordeal -- except the whole 'sunken-in eyes from not sleeping properly' thing. She had returned to rampant study and academia in order to deal with anxiety regarding her recent stay with Mr. Sinister, and had been a little more flighty nad less sociable than usual.

Which is why she was skipping dinner downstairs in the dining room and was eating cold breakfast cereal, a box and a carafe of cold milk on te floor next to her. There is another bowl and spoon, as if she was expecting someone to come in and share her rasin bran.

SpyderByte has posed:
Having been giving her space, Jeremy decided that a week was long enough and he wanted to see her. He has been worried and most likely driving his roommate crazy with concern. As he knocks on the door from outfront, he leans forward to press his ear against it.

<< Rosie, it's Jeremy. >>

The speaker on her desk chirps to her in a soft modulated tone.

Antigravity has posed:
"Come on in, Jer." Rosie calls back from her place on the floor, sitting with her back to the sunny windows.

    "Ah'm jus' havin' some dinner."

She closes the physics book she had open on her lap, and then the two notebooks she had open, and stretches out her legs a bit from her place on the floor.

SpyderByte has posed:
The door opens to reveal Jeremy as he makes his way in, closing it behind him. He gives a quick sweep of his eyes around the room to see if anything has changed before he heads over to her.

<< Hey, are you okay? You haven't seen us since you've been back. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"I had... I had a lot to think about." Rosie admits quietly, and she rubs the back of her neck as she sets her cereal bowl down.

"I spent a couple days with someone who is... pretty amoral, I think. He offered to remove my powers. I didn't take him up on it. An' he tried to prove that I couldn't hurt him -- which he did. I couldn't hurt him. But he gave me some ideas about refining my powers an' was helping me out... it was kinda nice to have a personal tutor, not gonna lie." she gives a sheepish grin.

"... but I was... real close to doing something stupid in the woods."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< You have personal tutors here at the school. Who were you talking to? That doesn't sound safe. >>

Jeremy gives a concerned frown as he looks over at her, heading forward with a shamble of his feet before he reaches out to pull her into a hug.

<< You still should have come seen us. Gray has been worried and very upset about losing you. You just left him behind, Rosie. Why would you? >>

Antigravity has posed:
Rosie seems surprised by the hug. She lifts her hands a moment, taking a gulp of air before she -- very carefully -- hugs back.

"Ah thought they would punish me worse than my Gran." she admits quietly. She breathes out, relaxing in his arms. "I thought I would be sent away, or sent back home. I was just another failure. I couldn't go home to Jericho, so I ran North." she states, purposefully skipping over the question of who she had been staying with.

SpyderByte has posed:
Squeezing her back, Jeremy gives a frown on his face. << No one is going to hurt you here or anything. You're not in trouble. Why aren't you answering my question though? >>

He leans back to stare at her at arm's length, tilting his head to one side as he squints.

Antigravity has posed:
"Everyone has been reaffirming that Ah am not in trouble for nearly killin' a girl by crushin' her guts. Not one person has told me 'you gotta get a hold on your powers' 'cept the fella I was stayin' with." Rosie grumps against Jeremy's shoulder before he holds her at arm's length.

"Because Ah was dyin' and when I first saw him he was white as a ghost with red eyes an' a red gem in the middle of his forehead, and had this cloak that moved around him like ink in water. But I was real cold and hungry, hypothermia mighta done somethin' odd ta my brain. I thought the Devil had come to collect his own, y'know?"

SpyderByte has posed:
<< You aren't in trouble because we covered it up and healed her, but you still need to get ahold of your powers. Accidents happen. It's happened to all of us in different ways. You also aren't leaving your room, so how can anyone tell you otherwise if you aren't talking to people? They're giving you space. >>

Jeremy listens to the description, then gives a frown. << And that didn't concern you any that he just shows up after an accident like that? You shouldn't have ran away from Gray. You should have came home with him. What if this guy tried to hurt you instead? It's not always safe for us out there and this is your home. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"Yeah, well, sorry that my stupid regular brain doesn't follow the same logic path as everyone else. After all, I still beleive in the Invisible Man in the Sky." Rosie states, pulling away and going to retrieve her rasin bran.

"Ah told you. I thought he was the Devil taking back his own. I was hypothermic an' he took me to some abandoned hospital and let me sleep it off. Ah threw the man through the ceilin' an' he fell back to the Earth and made a crater the size of this room an' walked it *off* Jeremy. If he wanted to hurt me..." Rosie plops down in one of the overstuffed chairs. "He woulda."

SpyderByte has posed:
Blinking his eyes slowly, Jeremy tilts his head to one side side, then runs a hand through his hair to tuck it back behind his ear.

<< Are you mad at me? >>

Antigravity has posed:
"... no, I'm... I'm not. Honest. It's jus' sometimes hard to talk to you about my faith when I know you don't beleive. I never want to use it as an excuse, mind, but..." she frowns.

"Neither you nor Gray were raised up in the same way I was, an' I know my way of thinkin's broken 'cause of it."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< All three of us are broken, Rosie. I just see the world for what it is because I spend a lot of time diving into all that is terrible about it. >>

Jeremy takes a seat on the edge of the bed, watching her cautiously with his dark eyes.

<< Even if you thought the devil would come for you, you shouldn't spend the night with him. The devil isn't known for handing out favors out of the kindness of his heart. There would be a catch, like a favor returned. Part of your soul. I don't know. Either way, you need to speak with someone about this. It's important. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"Ah did. Rogue found me. She spoke with him an' I was given the option of remainin' with him or returning back to the school, an' I opted for the school." the girl replies quietly, stirring the now soggy branflakes in the milk, watching the flakes break up.

"He wasn't The Devil though. The Devil's not about to let someone go that belongs to him, is he?" she questions sullenly.

"An' I'm sure Rogue's told Miss Jean and Mr. Scott all 'bout it, so if there was gonna be anything done it would abeen done. Now I'm goin' to class an' everythin'... jus... takin' my meals alone." she states quietly "... so I can study."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< So you're going to avoid Gray and I now? Rosie, the two of us have been really worried about you. And why are you suddenly so eager to study? Because of the accident? It's not your fault what happpened. They attacked us first, and you countered, maybe a bit too aggressively, but you weren't trying to hurt them, just scare them. >>

Jeremy gives a squint of his eyes as he reaches out with his hand towards her to slide it into one of hers and to pull her closer if he can.

<< I think that they plan on talking to you, they just want to give you some space, but it's not to get you in trouble, it's just to make sure that you are okay. If he's not the devil, then he's definitely someone. I'm sure the advisors know who he is. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"Rogue already knew him, and I'm not avoiding you! I let you in, didn't I? Maybe I want to be in here, where I have control of my situation instead of being elsewhere. I'm still scared, Jer. I'm back to bein' scared except now it's not about bein' /found out/ it's about /hurtin'/ people. Mr. Sinister proved I couldn't hurt him. He walked away with a smile. He walked outta a twelve foot crater with a freakin' smile after fallin' from the atmosphere, but if I don' tget worked up, I can't hurt no one. So it's better fo rme to just... to stay away from people right now. Even if it hurts them. Even if it hurts /me/." she states quietly, squeezing a little at his fingertips.

    "Ah need time, Jer."

SpyderByte has posed:
There is a slight 'flicker' of Jeremy's eyes as he focuses on his powers. His hand gives her another squeeze tightly for a few moments before he lets out a slight breath.

<< Okay. We can give you space then if you need it. Are you still coming to Prom with us? >>

Antigravity has posed:
"... you just did a big ol' search for that name, didn't you?" Rosie asks Jeremy, turning one moment to regard the dark-haired teen, and then she gets up from her chair, and joins him on the bed.

"An' yeah. I still need a dress, though."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< Maybe. >>

Jeremy isn't going to lie to her as he glances back at her once his eyes clear. He glances over at his phone on his shoulder as the light dims before he gives another squeeze of his hand, then rises upwards to his feet.

<< Find a dress you like and the size and I will buy it for you. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"It ain't that easy. Dresses fall every which-way an' you gotta try 'em on before you get a sense of how they're gonna look." the young woman replies, laying back and setting her bowl on her stomach.

"'swhy I wear guy's pants. Girl's clothing is stupid."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< Prom is on Tuesday. We should go find a dress tonight. >>

Jeremy offers to her with a smile on his face as he gives her a hopeful look.

<< I can get Gray and we can go together and have someone drive us. That or just trust the size and see how it goes. It's just for one night and I think you will look beautiful with whatever you wear. >>

Antigravity has posed:
"Eh, I'll grab somethin' tomorrah." Rosie states, and she gives a yawn, rubbing at the back of her head a moment as she turns her head to Jeremy with a little grin.

"I'll be fine, Jer. We're gonna be fine."

SpyderByte has posed:
<< Okay> >>

Jeremy says as he gives her another long look before he rises upwards and heads for the door.

<< I'm going to finish up some homework. You can come by and visit us later if you want. We'll have the night free. >>
