The Merc's housecall
Date of Scene: 26 May 2021
Location: Harry Dresden's Office, Kingston Falls
Synopsis: Harry met with Willow to see if there was something 'magically' wrong with her as Deadpool seemed to think.
Cast of Characters: Harry Dresden, Willow Rosenberg

Harry Dresden has posed:
So it's not every day a semi insane man implies a threat to Dresden in the form of a help me out situation. So naturally right in the middle of a steak sandwich and beer Deadpool cames through Mac's. Harry listens to the maniac and contacted Willow that he'd like to visit with her.

So while he waits he sets a random skull on the table and mutter to it,"Watch your mouth, stay quiet, and pay attention. Look for anything out of place." He moves his attention to the large dog laying there all drooling on the floor,"You too." So there they wait, a man talking to a skull and dog. Fortunately, he does at least pet his cat and not talk to it like it actually could talk back. Nothing strange to see here at all.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
That's.. strange. It's very unusual for someone of Harry prowess to look out for someone of Willow's slightly lower prowess. Well, she thinks, at least he has not looked at her before.

When he said 'Deadpool' she wasn't certain who he meant.. and then she *clicked*. Wade.

"Sure, I'll be over shortly. Should I get you a coffee?" Regardless, it didn't take her too long to come over. "Harry? Or should I call you Mr. Dresden?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Drive careful. I have coffee and beer if you want." he replies and holds the phone away from him between talking. It is an old phone, but it still suffers, spits, and sputters,"Harry is fine." He gives the address so she knows how to find the place,"I'll see you when you get here."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
In a little while..

Willow makes certain she has the right address, and knocks on the door. She's even got a little giftie for him, after all, she's coming to his place. You always bring a gift when you come calling!

Harry Dresden has posed:
Opening the door, Harry pretty much takes up the whole area, then steps back to motion her inside. Of course Mister is prowling out of the kitchen and into the bedroom area. Mouse stands up and snuffs a little to test the air.

The space is roomy, almost homey enough for what it is. The place lacks anything that is even remotely technology based. The phone is older than dirt and his ice box is literally that, an ice box. Candles are out since it isn't dark out yet.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow comes in, and looks around. And then, *looks* around again.

"You don't have anything like electricity, do you? May I ask why?" Unfortunately, after she blurted it out, she remembered her manners. After all he may not be able to afford it. (What? It happens!)

Then she remembered. "Here you go. Chocolate chip cookies. I know, they don't eat well with beer. But that's what I got." A pause. "I think I'll call you Harry. What did you call me over for?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
He takes the cookies and nods,"They look good. Thank you." See he can be a gracious hose. A smile after a moment of though on the electricity comment,"Technology has a tendency to suffer around one trained the way I was. It can't stand up to the primal force."

Motioning to a chair he takes a seat that leaves him facing the skull's position and a chair for her that would have her back to it. Not that there is anything really innocuous about it at the moment,"I called you because I had a visit from a moderately crazy man in a red suit. Deadpool is the name as I understand it. He said someone was hurting his friend and so I thought I'd see if he had any idea what he was talking about."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow settles back, and thinks about it. "Yes, he's my friend. He's, well, not like everybody else is." And then some. "Did you happen to ask him what was his friend's name?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Once she is settled into the chair Harry settles as well. The skull doesn't move or say anything, but the eye sockets slowly glow a yellow orange glow as if the skull has a life of it own. True to his nature, first thing the eyes do is get really large as he checks out Willow's form. Dirty old man even as a dead old man.

"Well. As I understood it, he was worried about you. It's difficult to make sense of him. I don't think I have ever met anyone that talks in circles and threats as much as he did." He nods towards the pub across the road,"He told me that he could use his guns in there and not be affected. I told him it would be wise not to test that theory."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Me?" Willow was boggled.

'Bob' can't see anything on her, or around her that would make him nervous. All her magic was hers. And there was nothing about her that would suggest she was under someone's spell.

"He was worried about me?" She giggles. "He's sweet. But, no. I've got a teacher though."

Harry Dresden has posed:
He nods and glances settles his hands on the table. Bob ogles the pretty witch for a while, but finally the lights fade to nothing again. Mouse, Fu dog and master of magic in his own way doesn't seem to put off by her either so Harry relaxes a little more.

"I will have to take your word on it for he's sweet." he replies with a shrug and manages an almost smile,"I have a few of Mac's craft beers in the ice box if you want? Just don't tell him because he's decided they should be drank at room temperature." He makes a face and shakes his head,"There's nothing obvious coming off you that would indicate you were really. Mouse is calm and he's pretty sensitive to magic in his way."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Now Willow does not normally drink beer, but today she thinks, and nods. "I think I will. And noooo.." She frowns. "My teacher is making me feel good about my magic. She's really made me look at things a different way."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Getting up, he walks over to icebox, the literal icebox, and takes the beers and walks back to the table. He pops the top from one and offers it towards her before he takes a seat again. He pops the top off his own bottle to take a drink.

"It's good to have a teacher that helps you rather than causes you to be wary." he comments,"Sometimes there is a place for a hard hand, other times it is less necessary. My own teacher was...unpleasant. It is good to see things a different way."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oh, that's too bad." Willow always feels for her friend, even if he was distant. "Thank you, by the way."

She takes the beer and tries up. Not bad.

"She makes me think. You know, I was going to study with John Constantine. But he got stuck in England. I had nobody to study under for most of my magical life. I do not recommend that either. I didn't know whether or not I was on the right path."

Harry Dresden has posed:
"There is something to be said for learning on your own, but it does leave some open and very grey areas." he agrees with her. He nods in response to the thanks. Taking a drink of his own he savors it a moment.

"Constantine is an interesting sort. Too bad he's stuck in England." he comments,"As for the right path, there is one and it's not always easy to see. It takes practice and focus. Who is your new teacher?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"He's back." Willow drank a little of her beer. "He didn't say why he was stuck that long. He was afraid that I wasn't going to get the proper basics and would get some nasty habits. Which is kind of funny coming from him."

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Constantine has some habits." he agrees and takes another drink,"If he can call up that house any time he wants to, it is surprising he was there very long." A smirk and he adds,"He does seem to be a paradox of himself."
