Cast of Characters: Jericho, Supergirl, Red Robin, Sparrowhawk

Jericho has posed:
The 29th Precinct in Manhattan is a busy place as usual, with officers, other station staff, and all sorts of people hurrying about their business, whatever it may be. There's always something interesting going on here in the Big Apple.

Tonight, a certain Detective Justin Barclay is going over case files, waiting and hoping that some meta or mutant or alien or -some- kind of hero type would come to his aid. He's been on this for a while, trying to convince his colleagues that there's some kind of connection. But no one seems to want to believe him. Either that, or they just don't think it's worth investigating. Still, he just has a feeling, and it unsettles him.

So far though, he hasn't seen anyone. Sigh. Maybe he should have known they'd all be too busy to bother with this.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl had heard the stories of mysterious murders hitting New York City as of lately, and given all the recent activity of violent, paranoid metas lately, it is likely possible that there is some connection..Or there might not be. Either way, it's something to check out. And so, she has called in some of her people best suited to the job to join her at the precinct.

With any luck, Sparrowhawk and Red Robin will be joining her real soon as she steps up to the front door in full costume. Yeah, she sticks out like a sore thumb, when when has she not?

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has told Phoebe about it, and hearing Kara was going to investigate, he suggest they go along with her. He is working on teaching Sparrowhawk the whole appearing thing, and is working with her, seeing just how close they can get to Supergirl before she realizes they are there. He knows it will not be as close as normal folks, but it is good practice.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
Some people are holding out for a hero 'till the end of the night.

The gray-clad young woman follows behind Robin, her hood up and over her hair, hiding her face in shadow as she moves.

And it's very good practice, in spite of the fact that her heart is beating out of her chest!

Jericho has posed:
Detective Barclay was just about to gather up his things and head home, disappointed. But just as he was heading out, he spots none other than Supergirl headed into the precinct. And...are those the other Titans?

He's so shocked that he nearly runs into the Kryptonian. "Supergirl!" he exclaims, pleased. "I was just beginning to think you weren't going to show."

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl smiles as she opens the door and spots Detective Barclay. Her team mates may be good at the sneaky thing and they miiight have almost surprised her if her super senses hadnt alerted her to their presence at the last moment..

"Hey, Detective Barclay, I came as soon as I could..Hmm, looks like my friends are here too." She smiles, looking around, "sorry I'm late, care to fill me in on the details of what's going on?"

To Tim and Phoebe she nods. "Hey guys, thanks for coming."

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin nods his head a bit to this. Time listens to the conversation but is keeping his eyes moving, at least at first. He gets the lay of the room, and where everything is. This is not his home field, so he keeps even more alert than normal.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
Sparrowhawk, on the other hand, listens intently to the detective. Her eyes do flick about the room, her cape resting over her shoulders as she simply gives a placid smile to Supergirl, and a brief nod.

She marks exits, entrances, and windows. Can't ever be too careful with who might be hanging on the rooftops, after all.

Jericho has posed:
"No problem, no problem." Barclay says pleasantly. The tall African-American man is dressed in a grey business casual shirt and slacks. "Red Robin and Sparrowhawk, right?" he asks, nodding toward Supergirl's companions.

As she asks for details, he nods quickly. "Yes, yes of course. Please, follow me." He'd turn and start through the lobby, taking them past security check points that led into the office area in the back. One of them is his and he invites them in. It's a fairly modest space, with a single desk and a few chairs about, file cabinets, shelves, and picture frames on the walls. He sits down at his desk, inviting them to have a seat as well.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl nods, also taking in the police office. She's not exactly as paranoid as her companions, but go figure, if they hang out with Batman a lot, she shouldn't be surprised. She nods and follows the detective to his office, probably getting more than a few glances from the other police officers. It's not often that one is visited by well known super heroes afterall.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin will leave the chairs to the ladies, as he stands against the wall listening to the man's words. He stands stoically much like the Bat who taught him. subvocally he will tell Sparrowhawk "Have a seat you get to be the reassuring one."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
Sparrowhawk follows the proper Titans in, and she pauses a moment as she looks with mild curiosity about the office, before sitting down. She sits up primly, attentive to Barclay, her hands folding in her lap with surprising daintiness from a hero from Gotham.

Jericho has posed:
Supergirl does get a few glances--after all, she is a well-known name around here. Some of them are as surprised as Barclay himself that she'd made a showing. One of them even asks her for an autograph along the way. "My daughter loves you!" the woman tells her.

"Thanks for being willing to listen." Barclay says once he's settled in at his desk, setting his things back down. "It all started at ESU a few years ago. A break-in to the server room at the Bursar's Office. Someone came in, and hacked student records. They were...-very- prepared. Enough to know that this wasn't just some petty criminal looking for something interesting to do. The virus was extremely advanced, like nothing we've ever seen here before. We still haven't even managed to find out what exactly they took or which student's information they were after." he exhales briefly. "But, after recent events, we have an...idea. Shortly after the break-in, this kid went missing." he puts a folder on to the desk in front of them, containg a profile of one 19-yr-old Joseph Wilson, a freshman at the time. "But, at the time no one really thought much of it, since he did come back apparently unscathed after a couple of weeks. Then the murders started, at a party at some frat house. It was..." he shakes his head. "They all started killing each other. The only thing all the victims had in common, is they are all connected to the host of that party where the killings started, a Fredrick Thomas." Thomas' profile is also in that folder--he seems to be the typical college frat boy. Likes to party and drink, into sports and such.

He exhales slightly and shakes his head. "There's been a few more odd cases like these recently. Every time, someone is killed by a close friend or family member--someone they should have trusted. And every time, none of the suspects appear to have any memory of what happened."

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl smiles warmly at the mother, and nods, pulling out a pen. "Sure, no problem!" And she actually takes the time to sign her page with a little message about believing in your dreams! or something sappy like that.

She gives the lady a little wave before catching up with the others, sliding into the room, taking a seat and listening in tently to Barclay's story..To be fair, Supergirl never really had a very long attention span. Good thing she brought Phoebe and Tim along to deal with all the heavy brain power stuff.

All the same, she tries to figure out the puzzle as she peers at the files on the table. "Waait...Sooo, someone hacked into student files, and possibly selected certain students to kill..Students connected to this..Fred Thomas person? But why? That's just..." she shakes her head, drawing in a deep breath. Supergirl is used to happy endings, light hearted stuff, saving the day..not brutal murders. She shivers at the thought.

"Soo what, some sorta mind control? A mutant psychic perhaps?" She peers at the Joseph Wilson picture. "I wonder if this guy had some grudge against this Fred guy and wanted to punish him..I dunno.."

Of course, shes' just shooting out thoughts as they come, hoping Phoebe or Tim's superior detective skills will come to the rescue. Just point her to the baddies and she can start doing superheroics! Those two are better at all the heavy thinking.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin holds his hand out for the file to look at it "Possible, this Joseph fellow was kidnapped, and somehow forced to be part of the murders, or be look out or just give information on the others. Does he have any connections to Mr. Thomas?" He will ask, He does, flip a cover on his gauntlet typing a few things. He does not bring up the connection to Deathstroke at least not in front of the detective. "I would like a look at the computers that were effected as well." He says as he brings up his own records on the people involved.

Jericho has posed:
The lady's eyes brighten as Kara signs the little book she'd presented. "Oh, thank you so much! She'll be so happy!" Then she hurries off home to bring the surprise to her kid.

"That's what I figure it must be. Some sort of psychological power." Barclay says, nodding at Kara. He also nods at Tim's suspicion. "That's what I suspected. No, Wilson doesn't appear to have any connections to Thomas. That's the one reason everyone around here seems to keep telling me every time I bring up the idea that there's something--or someone--bigger at play here."

Tim's searches wouldn't reveal much of anything out of the ordinary on the people involved. The ones killed at the party were the typical college party animals.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl hmms. "Orr, if it's like the other kids we've dealt with that were connected to the Black hoodie guy, he could have been feeding him with bouts of paranoia and forced him to act out?" she shrugs. "Assuming there's even a connection there, who knows?"

Although, there are other possibilities. "Hmm, so what do we know about Mr. Thomas, and Mr. Wilson? They have any criminal record or history of mental instability? Would this Wilson guy have any real motive? How about Thomas? I mean, I'm not even sure which one of them we should be more worried about..A hacker, a party host..Hm.."

Red Robin has posed:
Red will turn to the side looking down at the folder. He makes sure the detective can not see his lips, as he seems to be muttering softly yo himself. "Wilson is Deathstroke's son." He keeps this so it sounds like a mutter to normal folks, but should be clear to someone with superhearing. He hmms a bit and says "When the computers were broken into was there a physical examination of the insides of the computers as well as a data examination?"

Jericho has posed:
Barclay arches a brow at Kara when she mentions a 'black hoodie' guy. "And who is this 'black hoodie' guy you're talking about? What's he got to do with feeding paranoia?" He shakes his head a bit. "I don't know if Wilson is a hacker or not. He was the one who went missing after the hacking, we still havn't been able to identify who the hacker was, all we know is they executed an incredibly clean job. As for criminal records or mental instability, nothing that appears serious."

The man doesn't seem to have heard what Tim muttered, and he doesn't try to pry. If there's something they'd rather he didn't know about, that's fine with him. He trusts them. "Hmm...the data was examined, yes. But whatever virus they used left no identifiable trace of itself. Not everyone is even convinced that was connected to the murders at all. But I don't think a physical examination was conducted, no."

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl blinks slowly at Tim's admission, a bit surprised. She knows about Deathstroke. She didn't know he had a son. Or what it means. But clearly, they will have to have a private talk about this at a late time.

She glances back at Barclay and shrugs. "Hm, we're not entirely sure, but..He was seen twice now, in the general vicinity of a metapowered individual or individuals, right before they went berserk and started attacking people. We're still investigating, but I think it's safe to say this black hoodie guy is targetting metas, feeding on their fears and paranoias.

"Okaay, soo we need to find this Wilson guy. Does he have any family we can talk to?"

Red Robin has posed:
Red hmms and says "Anything left internal on the machines will probably be gone by now." He will still check after they leave here on his own, you can never skip something. "Can I get a copy of the full details on each murder, crime scene pictures, interviews of people, the whole nine yards." He asks the detective.

Jericho has posed:
Barclay frowns pensively at Kara's description of the mysterious individual. "Huh. That is concerning, but we can't be sure if it's connected or not at this time. Wilson's family--both military. Father is retired and mother is deceased. Wilson himself is still at ESU, you could attempt to contact him."

He nods at Red. "Of course. Just tell me where to send them. I'll get you the details on every case that I suspect may be connected."

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl hmms, "ESU? Okay, that's a good starting point. Guess he's acting like he's got nothing to hide, huh? But if he IS some sorta meta..Better to send in people who can protect themselves again him."

Red Robin has posed:
Red gives an adress to a PO Box, that will get it routed through a good dozen other ones, and makes sure he picks it up before the last one. "I have an in to ESU, I will talk to him, he has been there a year or two now, so might be able to give me some information." He makes plans to talk to Conner see if he has heard anything weird.

Jericho has posed:
Barclay sighs. "Well, no one's yet managed to draw a clear line of connection between him and the murders, as much as I've tried to convince my superiors, no one believes me." he admits, shaking his head. "Or they just tell me it's out of our league because metas are such an unknown quantity. That's why I asked you folks to help. I was beginning to think nothing would come of it, but then you guys showed up." he smiles, nodding as he takes down the address to the PO box Tim gives him. "Thanks again for being willing to do this. If you have any further questions, just let me know." The detective reaches into his pocket and hands a business card to each of them.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl takes the business card and nods. "Right, we'll do our best. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We may be barking up the wrong tree, this may not be the guy..Could be a coincidence..All the same, it might not be. Only one way to find out. We'll keep in touch if we learn anything new." she nods to Phoebe and Tim as she says that.

Red Robin has posed:
Red takes the card, and says "We will look into it, no promises, but if there is something to be found we will find it." He offers to the man. He considers doing the whole disappearing when he looks away but willw ait till he and Sparrowhawk are lead out not doing the mysterious thing right now.

Jericho has posed:
Barclay stands up and walks them out of the precinct, shaking each of their hands before he parts ways with them. "Thank you so much again. I look forward to hearing from you." Then he makes his way to his car and heads home.
