Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Rupert Giles, Castiel, Buffy Summers

Rupert Giles has posed:
Early evening finds the Magic Box fairly quiet, with only a pair of customers within the shop, and Giles. Giles is sitting in his usual place behind the counter, with a book in hand. Or rather, open atop the counter in this case. The customers, a pair of college age women, browse in the section with talismans and focus stones.

Giles is dressed much as he usually is. In dark browns today. Jacket, pants, shoes. HIs button up shirt beneath is a pale cream. His tie is dark cream with thin diagonal stripes in dark brown and caramel going the full length that can be seen. Little patterns appear to follow the darker brown lines.

A surreptitious eye is kept on the two ladies as Giles reads the book. Occasionally, he reaches for his cup of tea and has a sip of it. Up until the point there's no more within the cup. "Oh, bother it," he mutters half under his breath. Leaving the book where it is, he gets to his feet and takes up the cup before heading into the back to retrieve a fresh cup. It doesn't take long, and about five minutes later, he re-emerges. He walks back toward the counter, lifting the cup for a careful sip as he walks.

Castiel has posed:
Castiel opens the door of the store and walks in a little self-consciously. Castiel is trying to engage more with supernatural activity, to independently do his own share of 'hunting', as it were, especially since his usual partners were out of contact at the moment.

This store clearly has a significant amount of magical content, genuine and not the kind of fakery found at most shops of the kind. When he sees Buffy, whom he encountered briefly once upon a time, he pauses. Yes, this would seem to be the right place.

"Hello."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Only a couple of days have passed since a number of Scoobies headed into a mysterious dream realm to learn of the new enemy that was raising a vampire army in New York, among other things. Deadpool had returned earlier than the others due to his unusual abilities. Buffy was also missing among the sleeping, although she had later texted Giles that she was ok but busy with work, and that she'd come by on Saturday as soon as she could.

Now, she rushes into the Magic box, a bit breathless after a long and hectic day at work, but this can't wait any longer. As she steps into the Box, she peers around anxiously.

"Giles?Willow? You here?" she pauses, recognizing Castiel from a few run ins. "Oh hey Cas, what's up? Havent seen you in a long while."

Castiel has posed:
Castiel raises a hand slightly awkwardly to Buffy, "Ah, yes. Hello. It has been a while, hasn't it? I was just coming to have a look around. I didn't expect to see you here. Do you work here? I don't see any time of uniform or name tag, but not everyplace does that sort of thing. Waitresses do. I like waitresses. Not in an inappropriate way. They are just often kind to me. In a totally normal way."

Rupert Giles has posed:
As it happens, Giles has /not/ met Castiel, but he does give the fellow a welcoming nod and smile. He wants customers here, afterall. When Buffy comes in, Giles looks at her curiously. Then looks around the shop, then at himself. His blue eyes find Castiel again. "I'm standing right here, right? I'm not invisible?" His accent is unmistakably British. He lifts his tea and has a sip. That's also very British.

He can't help but to stare at Castiel. And all the talking. He glances toward Buffy. "Does he always talk this much?" He sounds curious, and not a lot more than that.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers continues to wander around the store, searching for Giles and/or Willow, but it looks like neither are here at the moment, or one or both stepped into the back. Oh well, they're probably busy with a customer or on a break. Who knows?

She nods to Cas and smirks a bit at his awkwardness. She really doesn't know him that well, but Dean trusted him and she trusted Dean, even if he was rather odd himself. How did that expression go? Your friend is my friend or something?

"Sure.." she smiles and nods, "This is the Magic Box, where they sell all sorts of magical items. Giles owns it." she's not sure exactly how much he knows about her Watcher or how much to say so just leaves it at that.

Oh wait there's Giles, returning with a fresh cup of tea. "Oh hey Giles. This is Castiel. I don't actually know him that well, he's a friend of Dean's, and he's an A--.." she glances around at the two other patrons of the store. "Err, an A-student? You know, very smart! Wait, how old are you anyway?" she glances at the angel, arching a curious brow.

Castiel has posed:
Castiel looks around, "I am not a student. She is mistaken about that. Please do not call any truant officers in concern. I appreciate her discretion."

"I am pleased that you have welcomed me into your Box, Giles. Although I generally dislike a proliferation of magical items, because they can be hijacked and abused for evil purposes, I assume you are doing so with the best intentions and I am happy to make your acquaintance."

Of course, Giles being Giles, he might be a bit familiar with the name Castiel and some of its associations. Warrior Angel and all that.

Rupert Giles has posed:
Perhaps not much, if anything. Unless it's information other people have given. Which is always possible. Just, none directly from Giles about Watchers. Or Slayers, for that matter. He tucks his left hand, the one not holding his cup of tea, into his pocket just as he's introduced. "Hello, Castiel," he greets. "Pleasure to meet you."

As the other man is asked how old he is, Giles raises a brow. He says not a word, but instead walks to the counter, and behind it, when the two ladies go to it to pay for their items. Once they're done and heading out of the shop, Giles turns his attention back to the pair of visitors.

Giles likely is familiar with the name Castiel, but people name their children all sorts of odd things. Giles blinks. And blinks again, at everything that is said. "Quite the opposite, actually. I do my best to make sure things are sold only for good." He tries to fight evil where and when he can.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers watches the two ladies as Giles tends to them. She doesn't move or say anything until they leave. "It's okay, Cas, you can trust him. He's a good guy, and like, yknow, my Watcher." to Giles, she says, "Castiel is an Angel. Kinda. I don't entirely understand how it works, like He's possessing a human body or something."

She blinks, "Oh hey, maybe you can help us, Cas..Something went down at the Magic box shortly before the rest of you woke up from that weirdo dreamworld, a demon slipped in and tried to kidnap me and take me to his 'master' or something.."

She makes air quotes as she says that, even if she's speed talking, like she's in a hurry. "Oh yeah and Deadpool kinda betrayed us, unless he's playing an angle, but I dunno. Oh, and one of those vampire lords dropped this." she pulls out what looks like an ornately decorated ceremonial knife, an athame, it's blade still caked a bit in her own blood.

Castiel has posed:
Castiel nods in agreement, "Possession is the wrong word. My host has given himself to me willingly, as a show of devotion to God and to the holy work. I would not force myself on him. I allow him to rest in bliss within me, to spare him suffering if I am tortured or deeply harmed."

"A demon, you say?" he says, regarding the blade carefully. "Could be related to a specific cult. It could alwyas be Satanists. There are lots of those, even though Lucifer barely ever bothers with them. They're uniformly stupid and they do like vampires."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers arches a brow at Cas. "Hmm, sounds kind of..I dunno, sad..Why would so done give up their consciousness and identity even in devotion of God? I mean, I guess it's better than being forcefully possessed by a demon, and of course I know a few like that, which I hope you don't try and kill on sight by the way because they're my friends." well two are, she's not sure anymore about the third.

She does frown at mention of Lucifer. "Sooo do you know Lucifer personally? Would you recognize him if you met him in human form? Cuz there's a Lucifer who runs a club called Lux . I got a strange reading off of him."

Buffy shrugs, laying the dagger on the table. "Possibly, I imagine some cultists would worship these vampire lords. But I'm more concerned about using it to track em down, since they seem to have fled their former stronghold. We need to stop em before they strike again.."
