Cast of Characters: Superman, Lois Lane

Superman has posed:
There are some days where Clark is certain that Lois's middle name is not Joanne, but rather Trouble Magnet. Today is one of those days, for just as he heard the silent alarm on the bank and the bullets and the squeel of get-away-car-tires, he heards Lois' heartbeat speed up in the adrenaline rush of Human Shield to keep the cops from firing.

Superman zips down from the clouds where he was hovering, rocketing down after the speeding car, and xraying to make sure all was safe with Lois for the moment, and where she was so when he collected the car he could make sure she wasn't jostled too much.

Lois Lane has posed:
Trouble Magnet. Just Trouble. Plain Old Trouble. All of those things could be Lois Lane's middle name.

Seriously.

But that doesn't stop the woman from doing what she does best, finding herself knee deep in it. And today is no different. When the would-be bank robbers growled a terse order for a hostage Lois Lane immediately said, "Take me." And while they should have thought that /odd/ thankfully they didn't.

Dumb-Dumbs.

And while she did volunteer to be taken hostage she still can't quite help the spike of fear and adrenalin at the gun pointed at her head, or the fact that she's now all alone with the robbers. "You know fellas -" Begins the woman, her voice sounding quite calm, even if she doesn't necessarily feel it. "You're going to find yourself in a world of hurt soon. I'd advise you to just pull the car over and put your hands out in front of you."

Superman has posed:
Keep talking, Lois. Superman locks in, finds Lois, and that gun at his face.

"Shut the hell up!" one yells at her. Superman frowns. He paces the car from above, noting the traffic. Cant' cause any accidents! So, he drops back, trusting Lois to get herself cool enough that no bullets are launched. Soon as he can he flies UNDER the car and hefts it up slowly, gently, weaving through traffic a bit more until he gets the car clear and high enough that even the driver is going to notice. Two quick glances and the axels no longer give power to the wheels.

Lois Lane has posed:
That yell from one of the robbers causes the woman to raise hands upward, a clearly placating gesture, as she says, "Okay. Okay. I'll stop talking, but don't say I didn't warn you."

Sure her voice is full of bravado, but that doesn't mean she's not aware of the fact that this could all be a bluff on her part.

She can't always say /where/ Superman is and so, it's something of a gamble.

But this particular gamble has seemingly paid off, as her gaze automatically shifts to the window. She probably realizes what's going on a a good five or ten seconds before the driver does and with a crooked smirk, Lois says, "Told you."

And just in case the man with the gun trie sto lash out at her, Lois will squeeze herself back against the seat; as far away as she can.

Superman has posed:
Steering and movement disabled, Superman swings them around back to the bank where police still are though some raced off to chase down the robbers' get away car currently doing a Flubber impression. The robbers are now realizing what's going on, are in a bit of a panic and Superman sets the car down very gently before extracting himself from beneath the under carriage and blurring a bit to open the back door collect the guy with the gun pointed at Lois, and pull him out and away from the woman (he loves). The gun is gnelty plucked from his hand as he holds the man aloft by the scruff of the neck, and the gun is crushed in the palm of his hand.

"Didn't your mother tell you it's not nice to steal?"
