Date of Scene: 22 June 2021
Location: Queens Center Mall, Jackson Heights
Synopsis: Kara takes the team shopping then ends with a tearful carousel ride with Lar.
Cast of Characters: Supergirl, Wonder Girl, Sentinel (Dallas), Mon-El

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers had decided to drag the team out to another mall, although hopefully, they wont attract the same kind of trouble that they attracted last time. Firstly, she still needed to acquire a cute costume for Willow. Secondly, she needed to help Austin to find a good costume.

Of course, Kara isn't really into sewing, but maybe they can find some cool outfit that they can modify or something?

So she waits in the foodcourt after sending out a text, impatiently waiting for her team mates to join her as she munches on a neopolitan ice cream..

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark has come along. Though she really has no idea what this is all about. Other than ice cream from the look of it. Walking up to Kara she smiles, "Hey Kara. what's up?" She looks around, "Another fire sale at American Topic? Or is it Eternally 21 this time?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Imagine Ca-- Actually, you know what? that gag is getting old Tina is dressed up like Catwoman, 'nough said. The tiny Capuchin monkey perched on Austin's shoulder, chirping at him as if annoyed. "Yes, I know it doesn't go with your outfit," He says almost absently, "But if you don't wear your service animal vest, you can't go into the mall." The tones that of someone making a familiar argument and not likely for the last time. He is wearing a black t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off that reads "Jesus never tapped." with the T in tapped being a cross. As he approaches the food court he waves to Kara and Cassie but runs over to the Ice cream stand. "Can I get a Banana split?" He asks the girl behind the counter. "Just hold the whipped cream? And the nuts? And the pineapple? and the Strawberry? And the hot fudge? And the ice cream?" The girl behind the counter offers a bemused smile. "So you want... a banana?" Austin just grins and the girl steps back offering the piece of fruit right to Tina. "On the house." She says amused. Austin just grins gratefully as Tina peels her fruit. "Uhh, Hi ladies."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers is dressed in a simple pair of faded blue jeans and a red tank top (apparently she likes those sorts of colors that resemble her costume, go figure!) When she spots Cassie first, she grins and waves to her, "Heey Cas! Glad you could make it." she shrugs.

"Not a whole lot of biiig sales today, not like at Lexmall, but it'll do. I figured it'd be good to get out and about, have some fun, get Austin a new costume.."

Speaking of, there is the newest member now! She smiles and waves to him. "Hey hey, how goes, Austin? Got an idea of what you wanna wear as a costume yet? And how about Tina?" she grins and waves to the monkey once they've got their rather specific ice cream.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark looks amused then tilts her head, "Costume?" She looks to Austin, "hey AD... " eyes moving to the little friend, "Cat-Tina..." she says with mirth. She looks back to Kara, "Just what are these costumes for, again?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas says, "chuckles a little bit, pulling out a chair for Tina to hop down onto and delicately eat her Banana As Austin takes the other free seat. "I've done some sketching I guess. They aren't the greatest but.." He pulls out the notebook and offers it over. They aren't horrible, but they won't win any rewards either. Mostly red and black with a hood and no sleeves. "Want to make sure I can keep all my senses going, that's why I don't want like gloves or some total face covering mask..." He says sipping from a bottle of ice water. He smiles at Cassie, "Basically so I'm not just running around in my Gotham Knights hoodie all the time.""

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smirks and nods to Austin, "Why, our newest member, of course. I know y'all are happy to do your own thing, but the world sees the Titans as still younger than Justice League and possibly a bit less reliable too. We need to prove to the world that they can trust us and take us as seriously as the Justice League. And that starts with a uniform, or costume of some sort."

She peers at Austin's sketches and chuckles, "Hey, that's pretty cool, casual but stands out. I like it! We should be able to find something similar around here..I'm not big on sewing, but..I'm sure we could grab something basic and make some modifications..And what about Tina? What kinds of cute costumes would you like, hmm?"

She can't speak monkey, but she's hoping at least Austin can understand her.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark listens to Austin's line of thought and nods, "Makes sense. Maybe.. fingerless gloves? I dunno." SHe looks to Kara, "That's because the Justice League still treats us like we're Tweens not over legal drinking age." She pauses, "Well. Some of us anyway." A shrug. "So no mask... no hands coverings..no sleeves. So something like a Lucha Libre body suit. Without the mask? Tina would look adorable in a little matching outfit. Just saying."

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas grins a little bit and smiles at Cassie, wincing slightly as Tina starts sounding off just a little bit. "She likes to stick to...female outfits." He says with a bit of a smile adding to Supergirl, "She likes to pick out her own outfits, like Cosplay's almost." He takes another sip of water and adds, "She has one of yours too, but she hasn't figured out how you keep the skirt down." He chuckles a bit. "And no, I don't really speak Monkey, I just kind of understand what she is trying to say usually. Just, you know from being around her so much. Starfire apparently understands her though.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers sighs and nods slowly to Cassie, "Yeaah, they kinda do, don't they. I heard about that proposed mentoring program idea of Batman's. I dunno.." she shrugs. Kara's not sure how exactly she achieved JLA status herself but, it's about time the rest of them proved to the world, they're just as worthy.

"Ooh, matching outfits does sound cute. Those Lucha Libra bodysuits were kinda weird though..Are you going for skin fitting or something looser and more comfy?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark grins to Austin, "Okay. but I draw the line at her cribbing my style. Even I hate copying my own style" because that makes sense but still really not feeling the little one dressing like Wonder Girl. She looks to Kara, "eh. It wasn't a idea as much as an order. I swear the guy must have had a lousy childhood. Military brat or something, you know? He just tries to boss everyone around. Every. One. I bet he tries to order his own reflection in the mirror around when no one's looking.."

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas grins just a little bit, "I mean, I'm not thinking like Spandex or anything like that." He says with an amused smile. "I'm used to running around in a Hoodie or going bare chested in the octagon, so I guess something that isn't going to constrict me at all would be best?" He says with a smile. "I'm still pretty new to all this. You see this calm face? This is me trying not to do cartwheels because I am having Ice cream with... well you." he says with a grin. tina? Tina meanwhile does the thumb/finger square thing towards Cassie, as if trying to size up her look...

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers frowns, "Oh really? An order? That's soo not cool. Geez." she rolls her eyes. "Well, who gives him the authority to do that anyway? I'm sure there are better ways to handle things."

She nods and grins to Austin. "I think I know just the place..C'mon, there's this athletic store that sells an assortment of cool and stylish outfits for running around. Could probably buy something basic and modify it, or go for a ready made outfit.."

And she leads the way to Athletarama - a rather derpy name, but the outfits they sell are pretty cool, everything from hoodies of every size color and shape, to spandex cycling suits, shorts and tanks and t-shirts, and even long hoodies for both guys and girls. They also have fancy masks, some covering the whole face, some just the lower face, as well as arm and shin guards and biking gloves and longer gloves too, which, if you mix and match enough, you can actaully come up with some pretty cool costumy looking things.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark tosses a healthy bit of side-eye at Tina. "No cribbing my style, girl. Define your own. Make everyone else want to copy you, mm?" She winks then looks to Kara, "Athletarama? Man... that place is just.. " she sighs, "Fine.. fine!" she shuffles in looking like she's sure it will feel and smell like sad and lonely desperation.

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas grins as Tina just sighs and throws up her hands, though in a equally playful manner. Still she hops over to Cassie's shoulder casually as Austin follows Kara in to look at the various bits of gear. "I guess I always thought that you guys had like special secret tailors or something." He admits as he looks at a shirt that is about the right shade of red...

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles and shrugs. "Hmm, well, my own outfit was a kind of...Parting gift from my parents. And it has symbolic meaning, as the S-shield represents my family crest." she seems a bit sad as she recalls that rather grim part of her history.

"But I guess some other heroes make their own, others get tailors to make them. I know a great costume shop downtown that customizes costumes.."

She smiles as she peers around for something that Willow might like. "See any good stuff yet?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark glances around the store, "Well, I have to say your parents at least had good taste? Most of us look like circus clowns when our parents try to dress us" she jokes. "I designed y own. Not that my early designs were any good.. wigs and goggles. ugh."

She blinks as she picks up a passenger, "Well hello, there. Don't think this is going to get me to agree to let you copy my style," she protests to the little hitchhiker.

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas picks up a sort of motorcycle jacket with hard and reinforced shoulders and back plate, though not leather. "I'd need to take the slaves off this," he muses considering. "And it doesn't have a hood so that's an issue." He says making a face as he considers. Still he tries the jacket on, tightening it down at the wrists.. Tina meanwhile offers Cassie half of her banana in a piece offering with a large smile.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smiles faintly and nods to Cassie. "They sure did.." she does get a chuckle out of Kara at that, nodding in a greement. "True, guess they really did have good taste. And hey, we all have to start somewhere, right?"

Hey, even she went through an awkward phase with that weird denim mini skirt and whit cut off top. What was that about?

"Ooh, I like that, we can work with that, I'm not a big seamstress, but I can still help. I think it'll look cool. How about Tina?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark flashes a grin at Kara, "The standards are probably the best. Getting too wild just never seems to work unless you're, you know... Deadpool or the Condiment King..."

Glancing to Austin's selection she nods, "That would be pretty durable. We could tech it out further back at the tower, too. More protection and all, y'know?" She looks to Kara at the question about Tina, glancing back to her little passenger, "Yeah.. now what about you? Gonnd go all Hell's Angels too?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Tina waves her hand dismissively and grins chattering slightly. Austin chuckles, "Aren't likely to find something in her size in here," He comments picking up a sort of riding mask. It leaves the nose exposed and has several vent holes over the mouth, but would work as a bit of coverage. "probably wreck my sense of taste, but I don't go around licking the air usually." He comments. He nods again towards his friend on Cassie's shoulder. "I buy most of her outfits at either the Babydoll boutique or Build a bear. Sometimes there is something nice in infants sections."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles at the wild hero references. "You're right there, I mean, the Condiment King? Really? That's too much.." she smirks as she peers at the stuff. "Do you have experience in making costumes then, Cas? I'll bet with all your cool outfits you can help him better than me.."

As for Tina, Kara just smirks, "Well...If she's not too offended, maybe some of the infant outfits would work..?" As she thinks, Kara peers around at said outfits. "Sometimes they have matching ones for kids here.."

She's also keeping an eye on cute outfits for Willow, although she's more Boho/light goth, less athletic jock.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark looks to Austin, "Okay, I know you did -not- just say you dress her at We-r-Babies..." She looks to Tina, "He's really that tacky? Woooow..." She reaches up to light scruffle Tina's head. "Poor girl. Or Buildr-Bearz? Seriously?" She looks to Kara, "Remeber My first costume was a denim jacket, a Wonder Woman tee shirt, spandex bike shorts, Chuck Taylors. A black wig. And: Goggles. They held the wig on." She shudders, "Since then? Diana and Donna have helped here and there. Though my most recent? It was largely designed by my dad I guess you could say. He goes around in a toga but wanted his "little girl" covered up properly. At least it's long pants and a tee. The armor over it.. well.." She shrugs some.

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas chuckles a bit and says "Actually she dresses herself for the most part." he considers, "At this point I think she actually takes up more of my closet space with her clothes then mine do." He takes a step away to make sure no one and nothing is within arms reach, and throws a flurry of test punches to see how the jacket moves with him. "It's gonna get hot in the summer but yeah I think this'll work." He says and grins as Kara finds a nearly identical one in the infants section. He smiles at Cassie, "Ever since my little sister's taught her to play dress up, she is completely unbearable... but seriously finding nice outfits in her size is frustrating. You can only find really good stuff at Halloween. That's where she got the Catwoman get up. And her supergirl outfit." He adds amused.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles, "A toga? Are you for real? Is he like, a Greek philosopher or something?" she smirks. Hey, it's possible. "Well, I like the idea of a wig, I used to wear a wig in my civilian identity initially. But it was a pain, especially on hot days.

She nods in agreement to Austin, "Always a good idea to keep both summer and winter in mind. Sometimes they have good fabrics that keep you at a good temperature in both climates."

Kara steps back as Austin flies a few test punches. "Heey, that's a good look for you though. And yeah, Halloween's a great time to find good costumes for reals. Although you have to get creative sometimes too."

As she talks, her gaze sweeps the store, and frowns. "Huh, was that..Black Hoodie guy? What are we calling him now, Vangelis?" after his dad, apparently?

Mon-El has posed:
Lar had begun to feel a bit stronger by now, enough to finally come out of the infirmary. He's still not quite at 100% but certainly getting there. "What's a toga?" he asks. Apparently it's something Greek philosophers wear.

But he notices her frowning. "What's wrong?" And his gaze follows hers, searching for the mysterious stranger they'd encountered earlier. If she thought she saw him, there's a good chance he is here.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers would rather not ruin this fun little outing with another 'incident'. She nods slowly to Lar, tugging him along. "Come on, lets go for a walk.." and she'll leave Austin and Cassie to continue to shop and try on clothes as she hastens out of the store and pauses, peering around.

"Coulda sworn I saw Vangelis.." Kara glances down the hallway, peering this way and that for a minute, and sighs, "Geez, can't I just have one day of fun without some sort of interruption? Seriously, I wanna have fun, go party, not worry constantly about the wellbeing of others."

Mon-El has posed:
"Heh, tell me about it." Lar replies with a slight sigh. "The responsibilities we have accepted are heavy." You know, the whole 'with great power comes great responsibility' stuff, but that's about the most cliche thing to say right now so he doesn't say it like that. "But we all need a break from them every once and a while. Just like most Terrans need vacation time from their jobs."

He lets himself get pulled away from the others, walking with Kara to wherever it is she'd like to go. "Let's just hope he doesn't start another scene."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smiles, "Well, I guess I can't complain. I mean, at least I don't have nearly the level of responsibilities that you have. And yet you still risk your life to save others. I mean..I have no issues with being a superhero, saving lives and all that, just.."

She sighs, glancing back towards the athletic store they just left. "I suppose, when I know that the responsibility of other superheroes falls into my hands, and the decisions I make can affect people than myself, sometimes it's like a major burden. Sometimes I just cant seem to find time to relax and have fun, when I'm worrying about when the next villains like Vangelis is gonna strike, y'know?"

Of course, it doesn't look like there's any sign of the young villain anywhere.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar was scanning about himself, but he didn't see Vangelis, either. "Well, it looks like we might be in the clear, at least for now." he says after a brief pause.

"Heh, yeah. In the future I led the entire Legion. Uh, I know that sounds weird, because it's technically in the future but also technically in my past?" he rubs the back of his head. "I don't know. Time is weird. But anyway, it can be a hard burden to bear, being responsible for the lives of your teammates."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles and nods. "Right, the Legion. I remember, I helped you guys out with the whole Superman thing a while back. Or at least, here, in your 'past' I guess.." she sighs and rubs her eyes, "Geez, that must get soo confusing, trying to keep the timelines straight, trying not to change the past too much. But hey, you guys were like, thousands of years in the future, right? I'd like to see that just once.."

She peers around and grins, "Come on, while we're here, we may as well have some fun..Did you know they have a huge carousel on the top floor? I've never checked it out before.."

Mon-El has posed:
"Well, it's about a thousand years, yeah. But not thousandS plural." Lar replies, putting the emphasis on the 's'. "Also, technically that future is a different future that may or may not follow right now's present, depending. You know, since the Legion coming back here at all changes things." He shakes his head. "Anyway, it's enough to make your head spin and you've got better things to worry about."

A brow goes up at the mention fo a carousel. "Oh, a carousel? What sort of carousel?" he asks. "I know that word refers to a mechanism that rotates, but there must be something special about this one that has you this excited?"

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers hmms and nods. He's probably told her about his time travelling adventures many times in the past, although his stories never cease to bore her. "You must miss the future, home sometimes, right?"

She smiles, "Oh, you know..Like a life sized carousel..With all sorts of animals on it that you can ride, and music and lights and mirrors...I've heard that it's a new exhibit and always wanted to check it out. I once had a white horse back home that I used to ride, it'd be fun to pretend to ride him again..Wanna check it out?"

Mon-El has posed:
"Well the future actually isn't my home." Lar answers. "I spent a lot of time there, but this millenium is actually where I was born." he shrugs. "I don't know, the 31st century has its perks, but there are nice things unique to the second millenium, too."

He watches her intently as she describes the carousel. "That...does indeed sound like a very exciting sort of carousel." he says with a nod. "You've definitely got a good pitch there." And he waits for her to lead the way.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers hmms, "That's...Really really confusing. No matter how many times you tell me. But..Maybe one day I can see the future too? I mean, if you ever, ever get your ship repaired again."

She shrugs, "Of course, compared to earth, Krypton seems pretty futuristic anyway. I wonder how earth would compare a few hundred years or a thousand years in the future."

But hey, right now, she really wants to check out that carosel, and she chuckles and nods, leading the way. "OKay then, lets go!"

Of course there are lots of distractions on the way...Like a flashy little photo booth that lets you add all sorts of cool special effects to your picture. Naturally Kara has to stop there and try and convince Lar to take a photo with her. Then there's a couple of dress shops with pretty dresses. Kara is still determined to party like she used to way back when, one of these days..

And ooh, there's an arcade too! She just has to pause and play a few video games, because they're so cute and retro (Dance dance revolution is especially funnn).

Oh wait, where were they headed again? She's kinda lost at this point.

Mon-El has posed:
"Yeah, if we ever get the time to actually finish that, which would require the rest of the galaxy to behave for some significant amount of time." Lar says half-jokingly. "Not sure if that's going to happen any time soon, but if it does I promise I'll take you there." he says, smiling.

Then they're off to the carousel, but Kara finds plenty of other fun things to do along the way. He obliges her at every turn. Taking a few photos with funny frames, giving his opinion on the dresses, and playing some DDR with her too. "What are these weird things in the pictures, anyway?" he asks, frowning pensively at one of the pictures, it has cartoony panda bears around the edges with neon colored balloons and such. "Are they some kind of animal? I don't think I've ever seen any that look quite like those in all my time on this planet. Not that it's much." he adds.

As they approach their destination, he points at a rotating thing that must be the carousel she's talking about because it has all the lights and mirrors and animal statue things she was talking about. "That it? You know, what you really need is some time to cut loose. People like us don't get to do that very often....just fly away somewhere, where we don't have to worry about hurting anyone or wrecking anything important and--" he shrugs and makes a loose gesture with his arms to indicate the idea of just 'letting it go'. "I think there's even a song about it on this planet, isn't there? Isn't it literally called 'Let It Go'?"

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers is actually having fun for a change, which is nice after all that stressful leadership stuff. And she still has so many things to worry about, with the mysterious armoured guy and the Brood in space and helping the Guardians..

She really is enjoying herself, and wishing she did this more often. "Ooh those little black and white fluffy critters? I believe they call em 'Pandas'. They have them at the zoo. I've never been but I'd like to go one day."

Although she'd really hoped to take Owen there on a date sometime, though she hasn't really seen him around much lately. Maybe he's pulling over time shifts at his cinema job?

At the mention of letting go, she chuckles, "Ooh, I know that one, from Frozen right? I think they have a frozen 2 now too, I should check in with Owen soon, he always gets the heads up on the latest movies. The first one was great though!"

She cheerily hums that song as they head for the carousel and peers at all the colourful animals like dragons and a white unicorn and Pegasus and Griffin. "Ooooo it's so pretty. I love the unicorn, it reminds me of my horse comet.." she reaches out to touch the unicorn which has a soft silky coat and long silky brush able mane and tail. None of those fake metal animal critters.

"Heey, have you ever ridden an animal before? This'll be fun!" she waits for him to choose a critter before buying a ticket.

Mon-El has posed:
"Pandas...hmm..." Lar echoes thoughtfully, studying the photo frame. "They do look interesting." After a moment, he puts it away and follows her to the carousel as she starts admiring all the pretty statues. "Uh, yeah. 'Frozen', I think that was it. Drake told me about that one once. So how about it, huh? We could go anywhere, really...haven't been to Venus in a long time. The lightning storms are pretty neat."

It does seem like people are riding on the statues, does it? "Huh, I didn't know you were thinking of riding on it, sounded like some kind of museum exhibit. But yeah, I have ridden on an animal before, but not ones like these."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles, "Venus, huh? I've seen it at night sometimes. It's really pretty, although isn't it supposed to be full of noxious sulphurous fumes?" still, it'd probably be prettier up close.

"You know what, let's go for it, I haven't checked out any planets before, mostly just hung out on earth. It might be fun!"

She chuckles and nods, swinging up on the white unicorn, stroking its mane, "Yip! They're rideable! Cmon, pick one, the next ride is about to start!"

Mon-El has posed:
"Yeah, I can't promise it'll smell great," Lar chuckles, scoffing a little bit. "But I'm sure we could find a pocket of slightly less smelly atmosphere?" he says, laughing. "Really, you're Kryptonian and you haven't even at -least- visited the rest of the planets in the Sol system? Come on. I'll have to give you a tour or something."

When she jumps onto a unicorn and urges him to pick one himself, he gets a look of fake indignation on his face. "Tell me to pick one -after- you jump onto the very one I -was- going to pick? How insensitive. Guess we'll just have to share." With that, the Daxamite gets onto the back of the unicorn, wrapping his arms around her waist. "You know, 'zoo' is a funny word."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers shrugs, "Well, In the four years I've been on earth, I've spent most of my time just getting used to this new home. Sure I've visited the moon and just hung out in suave. But you're right. It'd be nice to explore the solar system in more detail." she chuckles, "A tour sounds like fun, count me in!"

But the ride is about to start and she waves frantically at him, "Heey you'd better hurry up!" she's a bit surprised when he hops behind her to share a ride, getting in close which is..Familiar and a little sad. They hadn't been this close since they were together so long ago.

"Hmm.." she murmurs thoughtfully , grabbing the reins of the unicorn as they start to twirl around the carousel slowly.

Colorful lights adorn the carousel, bright mirrors flashing colourful light around the room as the tune 'Carnival of the Animals' begins to play.

Mon-El has posed:
"You never fully get used to a planet that isn't home, though." Lar murmurs, leaning into her a bit and resting his chin on her shoulder as the ride starts and the music begins to play.

It is sad...and Lar is reminded of the reason why he can't be with her. At least not like this, and not for long. For a moment, he questions that resolution, just thinking about how much he loves every inch of her with all of his being...maybe he's wrong about his people. Maybe there is something he can do to convince them to accept her. Maybe even his family...but he brushes the thought off. No...he'd already tried. And trying was -painful-, in more ways than one. He wasn't ready to go through that again.

"I've missed you, Kara." he says with a quiet sigh. "Being with you, like this."

There's a brief pause, and the music and the sound of children laughing as the ride spins around fills the silence. "You know, I wasn't so sure I was going to make it earlier--back on the Javelin. But I want you to know, that no matter what happens, you will always and forever be the love of my life."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smiles softly, closing her eyes as she gets swept away in the music and the rhythm of the ride. For a moment she imagines she's back on Krypton, flying on the back of Comet the super horse, moving so fast that the world was a blur.

She flinches ever so slightly at the touch of his chin on her shoulder, swallowing a bit.

"It's..There's really no reason in pining over the past. I know, your family issues make things hard between us, and what we had was intense and burning, but brief.."

The memory makes her feel a bit sad too, but there's no point in pining over a past you can never have. "Doesn't mean we can't still be friends and help each other out, right? You'll always be my best friend, and we'll always share a special bond no matter what."

The ride is slowing down now, the bittersweet, eerie music slowly fading away.

Mon-El has posed:
As the ride comes to a stop, he gently takes her chin her chin in his hand and turns her face toward his, planting a brief kiss on her forehead. "I know, Kara. I know." he says softly, then pulls away. "I'm sorry." he sighs sadly. "I didn't mean to make you feel sad. You--you should go find Owen. He's a good man, I can tell already. What you have with him--hold onto it as hard as you can, okay?"

Then he gets off of the unicorn statue, letting his voice go back to a normal tone. "Venus next weekend then, okay? Be there. Well, that is, unless Star-Lord needs us in deep space or something." he winks at her, not wanting to just...leave her like that, with the longing looks.
