Date of Scene: 30 June 2021
Location: Roof, Titans Tower
Synopsis: Kara and Conner catch up on things.
Cast of Characters: Supergirl, Superboy

Supergirl has posed:
Another heatwave has gripped the city, and while many might be sweltering in this weather, Kara seems to be rather enjoying herself by the poolside, lounging on a chair with an ice cream in hand as she scans through some magazine.

Of course, she doesn't need sunglasses and no need for shade because of the whole sun absorbing thing. Plus, maybe it'll help her feel better with all these muscle spasms lately..

Superboy has posed:
There is nothing wrong with unneeded sunglasses. Conner has been wearing them for years even though he needed them only for the first year or so after escaping the clone tank. Same thing as the leather jacket, really.

Heat waves do nothing to him, but he can appreciate the chance to get some sunbeams by the pool. "Hello," he greets, "where is everyone?"

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers looks up from her magazine and smiles faintly at Conner. She seems..Well, oddly tired. "Hey, Conner. I'm not really sure. I imagine they're training or something?" yeah, it's been quiet around here lately. She sighs tiredly, taking a lick of her vanilla icecream. She never really got used to earth food and it always surprises and delights her. "Aren't you in college or something? figured you'd be busy too.." For all her lounging around on a day off, she seems a little stressed.

Superboy has posed:
"I only have a couple courses left," replies Conner. "Easy summer credits, so I am working for a NGO part time," he replies. "Why? You are going to college too, aren't you? And you look... tired. Have you seen one of the League doctor people? You might have caught some bug in space."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smiles and nods. "Ah, that's nice." she shrugs, "Taking a couple courses here and there, but with my increasingly unstable spasms, I figured it'd be safer to take some time off in the summer, yeah." she shrugs and smiles faintly.

"I did see a League doctor, remember how I got shot by that armoured guy? They couldn't find anything definite, just said there were some micro particles in my body centered around my spinal column, but they couldn't tell much about what they might be doing or even how to get it out, and that I should continue to monitor it."

She shrugs and sighs, "Said I should come back for more tests next week, but in the meantime I should try to take it easy.." Kara chuckles, "Lar figured a trip to Venus would help...Actually it did, until I froze up and nearly fell into a molten lake.." she chuckles a bit. "But it really was a gorgeous place...How have you been, Conner?"

Superboy has posed:
Conner directs a pointed look at Kara, looking over his sunglasses. Not the kind of look he often gave beautiful woman, but a worried one. "Yeah, stay in the Tower, okay? I mean, weird crap around your spinal column that somehow stands up your healing abilities? Sounds like a big deal. Maybe something magical. Or Brainiac up to something."

He dismisses the question with a handwave. "I am fine. Got some good job offers, but I'd have to work in Washington. I rather stay close. Trying to spend more time with my girlfriend, too. But she is working too, now."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers nods and sighs, "Yeah, I know, just...It gets pretty dull around here. Besides, I think I'm probably safer up there, away from people I can harm than when I'm down here around vulnerable peole. But you're right, at least there are people at the tower who can help me. I just cant stand all this waiting around for something bad to happen.."

She frowns at the thought, hugging her arms. "Ooh, that's good, so almost done college huh? And who's the girlfriend? I'd love to meet her someday.."

Superboy has posed:
"Dull? This place is awesome, girl," protests Conner. "You have a big pool, high tech stuff, 348 TV channels," he made up the number, but chances are they have twice as many, "an holodeck and some access to the League computer stuff."

The Towers is a damn wonderland that makes the Outsider's base lame. Not that he ever spend much time in Gotham. Because Gotham.

He sits down at Kara's side and pulls out a Starkphone. He has pictures there. "This is Megan. Yeah, she has wings. She is a mutant. Meet her about a year and a half ago. She is pretty, and fun, and sweet."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles, "Well, when you put it that way, I suppose it is. Although, when you've been to outer space and fought alien monsters, and explored the volcanoes of venus, I guess being stuck in a tower can get a bit.." she shrugs and smiles, "You know, I should do more exploring here, it's not like I even know half of the places in this tower.."

Taking another bite of her ice cream, Kara leans over to peer at the photos on his phone. "Awe, she looks like a sweet girl, have you two been dating for long?"

Superboy has posed:
There are some pictures of a purple-haired girl with dark eyes, usually smiling, most look like pictures Conner took, a few might be selfies. "Pretty much since I met her," replies Conner. "It is actually the longest relationship I have been, I think she is the one for me." He grins. "What about you? I think that Australian guy is after you."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smiles softly and nods thoughtfully. "Wow, that's great Conner..Congratulations!" as for herself, Kara just shrugs and sighs, "Hmm, well...I'm not so sure anymore. I mean, Owen seems...Seemed kinda nice, and we really hit it off at first. He's really kind and considerate. But shortly after I got shot, I haven't seen him around at all, soo..."

She draws a deep breath, "Either he's afraid he'll get hurt after..Um...Well, the swimming pool incident, or...Or maybe he's just not that..Into me?"

Superboy has posed:
"Uh, okay," Conner is not the kind of guy that is going to give love advice his own short-of-cousin. For one, he doesn't know her well enough. Or Owen. "Foolish of him," he has to remark. He puts the cellphone back into his pocket. "Anyway, Megs is in college too, but sometimes I can get her to come here to hang out. She knows Tim and a few others. Maybe she will join the team some day. But she wants to be a X-Woman."
