Mork Calling Orson, Come in Orson.
Date of Scene: 09 July 2017
Location: Gotham City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Nightwing, Superman

Nightwing has posed:
High above Gotham, Nightwing pauses on the edge of the Municipal Building, one of those lovely gothic buildings with the arches and the gargoyles, that gives one enough shadows from which to watch the rest of the city. It's a typical stop for the Bat and his crew when they are patrolling, making the rounds. It is high enough in the sky for one to see far across the urban sprawl... but the architecture is complex enough as to foul those rooftop watching.
So it is from there during the night that the former Robin stands, half-kneeling upon one of the outcroppings of stone, looking distantly. His path had led him to Crime Alley only a short time ago, and now it brings him here to touch base with another compatriot. The Cave will be next, though for some reason... he is putting that off a little.
But for now he touches a hand to his gauntlet, keying a high freq signal, then waiting.

Superman has posed:
Drifting in low orbit, absorbing the radiation skimming off the edge of the atmosphere, that high pitched frequency catches Superman's attention. Blue eyes snap open and he looks down for the source.

Gotham. Burnley. The Municipal Building. There was someone there, but the thin sheeting of lead rendered details impossible to gather.

Which meant one of a handful of people.

The lack of a cape told Superman the rest.

Down he dove, taking a route to avoid radar and lights, knowing that to go into Gotham was to invite the want to fly off and save people in the city only for Batman to get Very Unhappy with him later.

"Nightwing," greets the Kryptonian as he comes to floating above the building in plain sight but not out in the glaring open. His eyes are on the young man whom he can see but can not get details from. Such is the way when dealing with the Bat Family.

Nightwing has posed:
Gaining his feet, Nightwing steps out just a touch onto the back of a Gargoyle downspout. He smiles a bit and gives a nod towards the Man of Steel, "Superman." The wind whips around them at this height and it does lend an element of the cold to it, not that either effect the other man. "I wanted to touch base with you, catch up on the lay of the land."
He folds his arms over his chest and meets the superhero's gaze with a nod, "I'd been in Europe for a time, but I've heard only little of what's passed. If you need me, you only need to ask." It probably isn't the first time he's let Superman know he's available to the league if needs be.

Superman has posed:
Settling down to the rooftop, Superman smiles, warm as the sun.

"Thanks. It's good to see you again, too. How was Europe?" he asks, nodding. "Of course, and likewise. Any time you need, you can call for me."

Nightwing has posed:
An arm is offered for a handshake as Nightwing gives a small smile, a little rueful as he tilts his head to the side. "It was... complicated. But, I'm way better with my Eastern European geography now. So I've got that going for me." His lip curls and after the shake he'll refold his arms over his chest. "How have things been going in Gotham and Bludhaven?"
Of course he could ask Batman, and he most likely will soon. But there is probably a reason he's trying to get Superman's angle on things considering what has passed before.

Superman has posed:
Superman shakes hands, grinning.

"Well... quiet enough not to draw my notice," Superman replies, because he actively does his best to avoid both cities. "Quiet all around, actually." he comments, head tilting faintly.

Nightwing has posed:
A small nod is given, then he hrms to himself. That pretty much sums it up, there's no more to it then. He's going to /have/ to go to the Cave now and talk to the Bat himself. "Well, I'll need to go check in then," Not that he didn't want to, but sometimes forewarned is forearmed. He lifts a gauntlet to rub at the back of his neck thoughtfully then he smiles back to Superman. "Alright, Superman, sorry about taking up your time. I'll go beard the lion in his den and all of that."

Superman has posed:
"You never take up my time, Nightwing," Superman replies pleasantly, smiling warmly at the younger man. He has an idea of who Nightwing was going to check in with next, and he didn't envy him that task. Batman, when in a mood, is a bit frightening.

"So, if there's anything you needed now, I'm happy to stick around." But not help fight crime here. Superman knows The Rules.

Nightwing has posed:
Spreading his hands a bit, Nightwing shakes his head. "No, should be good." He shifts his weight to the side but then reaches out for one of the statues to help brace him against the breeze. He then meets Superman's eyes and murmurs, "I'll be splitting my time between here and Bludhaven, also need to check in with the Titans. Beyond that..."
His eyes shift aside as he perhaps lets his thoughts wander, but then he looks back. "I always feel a little selfish when I call you, because you could be out there doing... your thing." He smiles and then nods. "Alright, enough procrastinating. I gotta head to the Cave. Feel free to find me if you need to."

Superman has posed:
Superman doesn't even sway at the breeze. His cape is caught by it, pulled to the side, whipped into a ripple behind him. His hair is slightly tousled, but the man himself remains hovering a foot above the roof.

"Sounds like a full time schedule. Makesureyou keep time open for yourself," Superman offers before smiling more broadly. he lifts a hand and headshakes the worry away.

"Don't feel so. I listen for certain people to respond as promptly as I can, because I know they will only call if I'm needed. Even if it's just to talk, I'm needed. But yes. He may already be expecting you. I will definitely search for you if I need you."

Nightwing has posed:
The young vigilante lifts a hand, "Til next time, Superman." Dick's voice is bright and warm even as he walks over towards the edge of the building. But with that said he makes his departure, dropping off the side and into the abyss below. For a time he's falling... and falling, then he fires that grapple line out and converts the downward momentum into a smooth arc that sends him hurtling off against the skyline.
For a time he's little more than a dark silhouette against the night, and then he's gone.
