Synopsis: Skye and Clint do some cleaning and find interesting vintage objects
Cast of Characters: Hawkeye (Barton), Quake

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
The tall man in a green jumper suit starts down the stairs, equipment and prize in hand. This hasn't been easy, took a couple days, but finally it was over.

Looking down at the disappearing figure, Clint Barton seems a bit sad. At some point, he almost wanted to call the whole operation off. It was tempting, but then, reality caught up with him. They could not move forward without the man's intervention.

"Bye, there! Sorry 'bout the eviction, I'm sure you'll be fine in your new home," he calls out, almost seriously. Deep down, he's just happy it's over.

Quake has posed:
And then there were none..

Standing behind Clint, Skye watched the man go. "He's not kidding, is he?" Skye was used to racoons, mice, rats.. all sorts of stuff.. on the streets. Not in the apartment. She was half convinced there had to be one hiding away. But, no, the man was quite certain they were gone, and the holes that they had come in by were boarded up.

"Yay?" Now for the real hard part: cleaning up, so that they could paint this weekend.

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
"Serious, it's all safe," Clint replies, turning to return to the appartment. Well, going in, but not going in, as there is furniture all over the appartment, piled up, and it needs to be cleared before the whole place is cleaned.

At the end of the hallway, the old window has been opened with some effort, and it provides some fresh air on the third floor. And just out of the window, in the yard, there's a large dumspter ready to collect the trash.

Handing a protective mask to Skye, Clint places his on his face, all to avoid contamination due to raccoons droppings. Surpringly, there aren't as much droppings as he expected, maybe the creatures wanted to keep their safehouse clean!

"Alright, let's throw everything out, unless we find something of interest." Who knows, they might be lucky - for once - and find valuables?

Quake has posed:
Putting on the mask, she agrees. "It really isn't like we're going to find something in that mess." At least Skye didn't think so. "Really, we should have burned the place down."r
But then again, once they had finished painting the first apartment, it didn't look half bad.

"Let's see, throw everything out the window?"

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
Clint raises his hand, thumbs up at Skye's question. Yes, everything goes out, unless it might be valuable or reusable in some ways.

Just by the door, a mess of wooden chairs, some with legs broken. They soon find a new place in the dumpster outside.

"OK, as long as we don't find large furniture, this should be a walk in the park," Clint states, probably jinxing them yet again.

As he removes some more chairs, he spots something shiny - yes, despite the dust - in a corner. But it's far from reach yet. "I wonder what's this," he says, pointing at the item standing in a corner, with a large dark domed cover over a single metallic leg.

There are also boxes piled up closer to Skye, maybe there could be some items of value.

Quake has posed:
"Really? You would jinx us, wouldn't you?" After all, Skye could *see* some of the furniture that didn't qualify as easy or light. But she started with the smaller stuff first.

"Probably junk." Which meant he would love it. Of course. "So far, all this is, is vinyl. Junk?" Perhaps they could get a little bit of money.

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
He might have also spotted the larger items, but for now, Clint is focussed on clearing his path towards his finding, waiting for him in the corner. More chairs, one recliner - yes, he's ok moving it, but it won't go out the window, being too large.

"Alright, what can go out the windown, we'll put by the stairs for now." And of course, if something is too large or heavy, they'll team up.

And then he can finally reach the strange thing in the corner. He was right, it has a dark plastic dome on top and, upon lifting it, Clint finds that it's a vintage Electrohome space age turbtable, complete with the small ball speakers by its side. "Whoa, look at this! Wonder if it still works." And of course, the archer is already looking for a plug to try it!

Quake has posed:
Ah.. the mystery of the vinyls is suddenly explained. Which made Skye really *look* at the names on the records. "Lots of these I haven't heard of before.."

But as she roots through the piles they begin to be more that she has heard. Including the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. In pristine shape. "Holy crap, The Beatles. The Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band!" Unfortunately they find that even in pristine conditions the older records won't be terribly worth it, but the older ones, the jazz one's, were worth more. "Here, put it in!"

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
Just as Skye was looking at her findings - a very nice collection of vintage vinyl records - Clint had located an electric outlet and plugged the turntable.

Taking the record handed to him by Skye, Clint hopes for the best and maybe it will work. And yes, once turned on, the turntable comes to life. Right, it smells like heated dust, but it should do. Carefully placing the record on the turntable, and making sure there is actually a needle in the headshell, he slowly lowers it over the record and.... yes! One thing he didn't check, was the volume on the speakers, and as soon as the needle makes contact with the record, it seems the whole appartment is shaken by the loud music.

"It was 20 years ago today
Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile
So may I introduce to you
The act you've know for all these years
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band "

Quake has posed:
"Fuck yeah!" Skye is suitably impressed with both the song, and the volume. But she finds, quickly, that her ears are sensitive. "Okay, okay.. maybe not as loud as it was. But you should see four boxes of records."

Actually there were six, but she hadn't dug them up yet.

Hawkeye (Barton) has posed:
Indeed, the sound is quite loud and if the window wasn't already broken, it probably would now. Turning the volume down, Clint lets it play in the background, nice ambiance for working on the trash.

Manoeuvering around the remaining furniture - and there's a lot - the archer returns by Skye's side, to quickly check the box. Lots of jazz albums in there!

"Wow, I can smell some nice cashoula from the boxes. Alright, let's move them out for now." And he carefully places the boxes of records in the hallway. Returning, he looks around the mess, thinking for a moment about yes, torching the whole place, but instead, he grabs a large orange suitcase, pulling out of the pile. Kneeling on the floor, he proceeds to open it, but hesitates. "This could be Heaven or this could be Hell," he quotes Hotel California, grinning.
