Malice in the Palace
Date of Scene: 27 July 2021
Location: Hammer Bay, Genosha
Synopsis: Havok retrieves Polaris and brings her home from Genosha.
Cast of Characters: Havok, Polaris

Havok has posed:
Early evening, just after sunset, on the windy shores of western Genosha. The wind is warm and drafts east to west. Thus coming from behind Lorna who just witnessed the sunset and continues to watch the skies turn magenta and then deeper purple. Below the cliffside, the waves crash upon the rocks.

Escapism at its best. The capitol city is on the opposite side of the island. That's where all the noise is. Yet here, it's just the wind, seabirds and the surf. And the peace. A few hundred yards behind her is the deep jungle where one could get lost for days among the tall trees and jagged land. Here, Lorna is able to collect her thoughts.

Polaris has posed:
There are so many memories for one so young. Has Genosha really become a bit of a haven? The Danes were her real family, or so she thought. But the warm wind does call to her, as if tempting her to just relax and let things go. There is no need to fear the waves that crash upon the jagged shore. While she couldn't manipulate water, she could easily manipulate the forces around it at her will.

But her 'will' is often in question so she does take a moment to attempt to enjoy this time. Some of those here at Genosha have welcomed her with open arms, others have had hidden agendas. She was never able to read minds so she doesn't even try to figure anyone out. She just sits, her back turned to the jungle behind her. It's not the jungle of the Savage Land, but it is a jungle she doesn't wish to traverse through at the moment.

Little noise, but water, rocks, and hopefully a sense of peace. She contemplates closing her eyes to find that sense of peace, but it is very hard. So much 'white noise' goes off inside her brain, but maybe at this moment she can attempt to quiet it.

Havok has posed:
A league to the south of her stands the retreat. A home away from the capitol city where the royal family can escape the chaos that is Genosha's largest city. http://prntscr.com/1gn176e .

Such a peaceful place. It's a shame that Lorna is disturbed by the sensation of metal that moves. 50 yards to her south, perhaps 50 lbs of an exotic metal that is resting upon the ground. Along with other trace mentions normal metals accompanying it. Something hidden within the tall grass. And then she detects the radio waves (not that she hears Radio Waves in her head. She's not like Billy). Something/Someone is watching her.

Polaris has posed:
The idea of being royalty is something that never really entered her mind. Yet she is now, even if she often feels displaced on such an idea. Now and then she may well look off into the distance of the retreat but if she really wanted to be there now, she would be. It's the simple, especially since she is one of the two honored princesses.

Though, in many ways, she's never really gotten along with Wanda.

Hopefully Daddy Dearest could really teach her how to use her magnetic senses so she isn't all that easily disturbed by any alloy that is close. But it's something else that disturbs her. Being spied on is something she's felt before, and it rarely led to a good outcome. She turns in the direction of the source of radio waves and balls her fists to reveal a bit of disgust. "You would think a girl would have the right to a little privacy now and then." She says in a firm voice, one that's not too pleasant. As she speaks her hand begins to glow with the tale tale hue of magnetic might. She's getting ready to channel energy should someone prove that they are more foe than friend. With a bit of a sneer she says, "I suggest you come out and say hello, and do it politely. You don't want me going in there after you."

Havok has posed:
The wind carries his voice over those 50 yards of open space as he speaks into the mic, "She's seen me." He stands. http://prntscr.com/1gn76lv - Scalphunter. One of the Marauders. If he's near, that means there are likely others close by. Especially since he's communicating with someone over the radiowaves. His clothing is covered in metallic, ceramic, and rubber components. Things that he uses to kit-bash things together and make weapons. Of which he carries one in his right hand. A heavily modified pulse like hand gun. He announces in a calm, yet confrontational voice, "Polaris, stand down. We have hostages. If you come quietly, we will not harm them."

Polaris has posed:
Well this changes things, or does it? Anyone who knows Lorna knows she doesn't always 'stand down' as someone would ask. It doesn't help that the Marauders don't exactly represent pleasant memories for her, if she could even remember everything that did happen at that time. Her first instinct is to view things as a threat and she immediately begins to gather magnetic energy. What was once just a fist starting to glow travels over and covers her entire body, giving her a mystical, and terrifying, green glow that indicates the Mistress of Magnetism could very well be open for business.

But this may not be the type of business that Scalphunter wants.

"You have no idea who you are dealing with." she says as her eyes begin to glow green, already causing her pupils to disappear into the brightness as she gathers more and more magnetic strength, "I am a princess of Genosha, a true haven where I can find peace!" Not really, and being here this time doesn't exactly settle her mood, "And you invade my moment of serenity with a foolish order. You will have to do better than that!"

Hopefully her impulsive display of power will not come back to haunt her later, she hasn't attacked though, not yet.

Havok has posed:
Scalphunter says over the communicator that runs down his left jaw line, "She's going hostile." He starts to move to his left, toward the cliffside. Not fast, a steady pace of side stepping and keeping his eyes on Polaris. Eyes that are quickly covered by sunglasses that he puts on with his free hand.

That's when she hears another voice. So much closer and feminine. This voice comes from Lorna's left flank. The voice intones, "Love your hair and all that green. I must say, it's quite dreamy." The voice may be familiar, yet, not quite discernable. However, it may remind her of the days in the Savage Land when Lorna's powers were not magnetic in nature, when she was as strong as Colossus and physically larger than her current stature.

Havok has posed:
==========================<* Lorna Dane has posed *>===========================
"Hostile?!" she barks back, as if she was a doberman getting ready to charge, "You haven't even seen hostile!" Maybe staying in daddy's home has made her not inclined to hold back, though that likely was never in Lorna's nature to begin with. immediately after saying the dreaded H word her aura pulses with a burst of magnetic green energy, almost as if it's a bit of a 'boom' that can be seen or felt. It's more of a show than anything because she hasn't attacked, but she's definitely all charged up at this point. Her eyes are fixed on the marauder, definitely curious to know who or what he's talking to but it's suddenly the 'new' voice that catches her attention.

But it's not new. Feminine for sure, but definitely not all that new. It doesn't sound like Jean, besides, she wouldn't be all the way out here. It doesn't sound like Wanda, especially since her half-sister would have no reason to bother her solitude. But is it coming from the trees in the distance? Trees that look more jungle like than Polaris would prefer. "As much as I like to get praise for my appearance, I'm not taking compliments today. Show yourself!" She says in the direction of the other voice. "I'm getting a bit tired of people trying to hide."
-------------------------< End of Lorna Dane's pose >--------------------------

=============================<* Havok has posed *>=============================

?The voice was deceptive as to its position/location. When Lorna turns to seek the origin of the voice, she spies a woman just 12 feet from her. The issue however is that when she sees the woman (also with green hair, which may be the origin of the compliment), she also recognizes the woman and recollects the woman's power which is suddenly brought to bare/bear. http://prntscr.com/1gpoewf - Vertigo. Vertigo's powers are just as her namesake. Wave after wave of intense vertigo creating energy that will wash over Lorna's area (area effect attack). Also the reason that Scalphunter put on his protective eyewear.

?Scalphunter also fires upon Lorna's turned frame. Shooting at her right side/flank with an energy based stunning weapon. If Lorna has her force field up, it will not penetrate it.

----------------------------< End of Havok's pose >----------------------------

==========================<* Lorna Dane has posed *>===========================
Pulling up her shields is something that Lorna has gotten used to, and in this 'powered up' state it wouldn't take her long to do this. The shields are up around her body which hopefully deflects the attack from the stunning weapon. Energy is one thing that she can be a master of.

But vertigo likely isn't. She's been dizzy multiple times but her bipolar moods don't make her the strongest person when it comes to loosing one's balance. It's possibly a game of speed at this point. Vertigo is impressive, but she has iron in her blood like many other living creatures. Polaris tries to manipulate the iron in her blood to make the other green haired woman pass out. Yet the Mistress of Magnetism is already feeling herself getting dizzy. There's little chance that she can fly away fast enough if Vertigo isn't put down. It's even getting harder to keep her powerful glowing aura alight. Was this the right time? Will she survive two attacks at once? It's about timing. Sometimes she's good, sometimes she's not.

?The wubba wubba vertigo waves continue. Perhaps Lorna's vision/sense is off just enough to not capture Vertigo's iron. Perhaps it's the rising waves of nausea and dizziness that Vertigo generates within Lorna's senses. But that's the point of Vertigo, to instill disorientation enough to take down the enemy.

Two against one, those really aren't the best of odds as it is. She should have just reacted sooner and not hesitated to take Scalphunter out. That hesitation might have well cost her the ability to knock down Vertigo.

But the other green woman is good at knocking people down, and so she does.

"You bitch, I can't stand." That's right, she can't stand. The dizziness is just too much and Lorna falls to her knees. The green glow around her isn't completely gone, but it is not as intense as it was. She winces as the imbalance gets the best of her. It's just too much that she can't reorientate herself. Then she heaves and upchucks a bit. Fortunately she didn't have much food in her stomach, but it's still not a pretty sight. Vertigo is probably used to seeing people puke in her presence, but it's obvious Lorna is not having a good time at this point.

=============================<* Havok has posed *>

Havok has posed:
    =============================

?Suddenly Lorna will feel a solid blunt pain against the back of her head/neck and everything goes black.

?The pain is pretty resonate within her head as she begins to come from the comatose state. She feels that she's bound. Her arms are above her head and wrists tied together. Those bindings are what holds her weight. Hands are numb from the cutting off of blood and pressure on her nerves. Her back is to something very hard, like stone. Voices are louder than they should be. They have a slight interior echo to them. Much like the echo that she's heard within the foyer of the grand retreat/mansion that she spent earlier today within.

?Scalphunter says, "Just put the collar on her."

?Another male voice (Scrambler), "But there's so much we've not done to her. So much pain to inflict."

?Scalphunter, "If you hurt that body, Malice will be pissed and take it out on you."

?A female voice (Arclight), "Either you put the collar on her, or I will, and you won't like it when I break your hand taking it from you."

?If Lorna were to open her eyes and look around: The room is indeed the grand foyer of the island mansion retreat of the royal family. Four villains stand within Lorna's vision. Arclight, Vertigo (standing back), Scalphunter, and Scrambler (who stands the closets). Scrambler holds a very familiar choker http://prntscr.com/1gqmlh8 which contains the essence of Malice. Dark eyes seem to peer from the gemstone of the choker toward her prospective victim. Lorna's wrists are held on a sconce that is bound to one of the very large marble columns of the foyer. There are four. She's also facing the front set of double doors that are closed. Yet, would exit onto the front lawn.

----------------------------< End of Havok's pose >----------------------------

Havok has posed:
==========================<* Lorna Dane has posed *>===========================
The pain is still horrible, and her 'friends' don't seem to have her best interests are heart. One strong knock to the back of the head isn't going to heal immediately, but she has real reason to be worried about her mind. The name of 'Malice' is a familiar one and it's an entity that she can't forget. She tells herself quietly <<Not this, not this again. This has got to be a nightmare.>>

If only that was true. Isn't the palace supposed to be safe for the princess? Isn't Genosha supposed to be a haven where she would be safe? Then again it is her father's land and her father hasn't always been the most reliable person in her life. No time for reflections though, she's going to be a slave again if she doesn't do her damnest to get herself free.

There's things she can do. After all, magnetism is everywhere on some level, but she's clearly outnumbered. The idea is to reach for for something more sensitive to her control. Her hands are tied, but she doesn't need hands to try to see what is ferrus or not. They can begin to see her glow, as her mutant powers are rather obvious and in that glow she tries to reach out for anything that can be used as a weapon to knock her foes back. Surely Magneto wouldn't use nothing but plastic to build the foyer. The more metal that there is, the easier he could manipulate as well. She grunts as she tries to hurl whatever object she can toward the four. The idea is to cause them pain as well to knock them down so she could, hopefully, get the upper hand and escape.
-------------------------< End of Lorna Dane's pose >--------------------------

Havok has posed:
    =============================<* Havok has posed *>=============================

?There's more metal in this structure than most. That's most of (rebuilt) Genosha. Magneto himself ripped the metal from the earth's depths to rebuild his island nation so that he would have mastery over his domain. Even this retreat has so much metal within and behind the stone edifice(s) all around. There is plenty for Lorna to grasp.

?The moment she illuminates sends warning signs to her captors.

?Arclight is the first to respond. "She's awake! Scalphunter, knock her out again!"

?Scalphunter draws his stun gun and fires. But the glow that Lorna generates is already too resistant to his attack. It bounces.

?Vertigo steps off to the side and calls out, "Harpoon, bring him in here. Polaris needs to know we mean business."

?Scrambler steps back, he's clearly not the one who wants to take damage.

?When Polaris grabs the metal plates from the tall ceiling to hurl at the bad guys, she is easily able to strike Arclight, Scrambler, and Scalphunter; knocking them back against the far wall nearto the double doors of the entrance.

----------------------------< End of Havok's pose >----------------------------

Havok has posed:
==========================<* Lorna Dane has posed *>===========================
Her head is still throbbing but she does her best to push through the pain. Knowing that the metal is easily obeying her command gives her inner strength, but it's going to take more to get her out of this mess. To say the least, she's definitely not going to lay down and let Malice take her over again. That's simply not going to happen.

It's good that some of them are down, but the one who really delivered the horrible blow needs to be taken care of. Besides, she wouldn't have a problem offering a dose of revenge. Trying to manipulate the iron in her blood didn't work last time, and she can't afford to make mistakes. With metal as her weapon, she tries to find something larger to knock Vertigo out. The other green woman has posed as the worst threat to her. Metal plates will help, but the dame of disorientation will need something stronger to deal with.

With hope and determination, Lorna tries to gather something large to hurl at her enemy. Hopefully she will regret making her puke now!
-------------------------< End of Lorna Dane's pose >--------------------------

Havok has posed:
There is a nice large (7' tall) iron statue of Magneto in the foyer behind her. It's the best item to use as a weapon to throw at Vertigo. The statue is flung through the air and poor Vertigo is nailed right through the front doors of the mansion. She's knocked back beyond the front patio and falls down the stairs onto the lawn below while the iron statue flies over her head and does not crush her. But she's out for the count.

That's when Lorna will see the 'hostage' who is being drug by the back of his jacket into view, it is Havok. The person dragging him is Harpoon, one of the Marauders who holds a carbon fiber harpoon to the unconscious Havok's chest. Harpoon lets Havok drop onto the floor and he keeps the harpoon's very sharp tip to Havok's chest. He calls out, "Enough!"

Polaris has posed:
Well if it isn't her Achilles heel, her chink in the armor, her own personal kryptonite....Alex Summers. The two have had the most complicated romance that could ever exist. He's been gone, she's been gone. He's walked out and she's walked away. They've called things quits only to get back together again and of course break up. Later then they maintained a difficult, makeshift alliance before until they went their separate ways, but one thing is for sure, she could never forget him. She could never forget the time they studied together, or the tender moments they had. Obviously, the last thing she would want is for her to be the cause of his pain, or worse.

She knows in every fiber of her being she would die for him and she wouldn't have second thoughts of it.

If she knew this was the hostage, she might not have resisted before, and she doesn't resist now. She's still mad at her captors, but now clearly very concerned. Her voice takes on a bit of a strange tone of voice as there is obvious worry there. What was once a survival instinct, gives way to the emotional pain of seeing the almighty Havok so helpless.

The metal around her doesn't twist and turn anymore but her eyes begin to glisten with latent tears as she is overcome with emotions. She clearly asks, "Is he ok?" Boy, Daddy probably wouldn't be too proud of her right now.

Havok has posed:
Harpoon snarls, "He's not hurt. Yet." Harpoon flexes his arm muscles, threatening to drive the tip of the harpoon into the chest of the unconscious hero.

To the left of Harpoon and the open doors, Arclight is seen ripping the metal ceiling panels in twine and freeing herself, Scrambler, and Scalphunter. She stands up, brushing herself off. Her suit looks metallic, yet, it is not. It's made of some weird shiny material. Similar to the base material of Scalphunter's suit.

As for Havok, Lorna may spot his condition is presently being feigned. He looks her way with barely open eyes. He gives a gentle nod and Lorna can feel the plasma within him churn as if he's about to release the fiery energy upward toward Harpoon who stands over him. Harpoon does not realize that Havok is now awake.

Scalphunter says, "Scrambler, put the damn choker on Polaris. Do it now so we can go home."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna would never fancy herself as the best actress, but this time she tries to work such abilities. She trembles a bit, trying to show fear even though she is now showing hope. She knows that Alex could be a force to be reckoned with if he channels himself. But for now, it's important to keep the guise.

She definitely doesn't nod in Havok's direction. For a change, she tries to play the 'weak' damsel who needs to be rescued. With a bit of a mousey sounding voice she says, "Ok ok, I'll do anything you want, just leave him alone, alright? Just don't hurt him. Whatever you do, don't hurt him." She dims the green magnetic glow around her, as if trying to indicate that she is really giving up. She may not be the best manipulator, but there's no reason for them not to be convinced that they have the upper hand.

Havok has posed:
Harpoon appears convinced, yet he still keeps the tip of the harpoon to Havok's chest. He intones to Scrambler, "Move it, Scrambler."

Scrambler doesn't move too well, it's almost like he was hurt in Polaris' initial attack. He favors his left hip and legs as he walks toward her. Yet, he raises the silk choker while approaching her.

Arclight looks annoyed, she turns and walks across the room to the far left (lorna's left) of the foyer.

Scalphunter stays in the front (lorna's right) right corner near to the main exit.

Now that the bad guys are distracted and Lorna is keen on the idea. Havok snaps to life, raising his arms upward toward Harpoon. And with a very bright flash and loud FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM he releases the plasma into the Marauder's stomach and chest. Blasting the villain straight up, through the ceiling of the patio and far out of immediate sight.

Polaris has posed:
Ouch well, that blast has got to hurt. Poor Harpoon.

Not really. For pointing a weapon in Havok's chest he earned the right to have his body blasted into oblivion. Also being part of the team that would enslave her to one of the long time enemies, she isn't going to give a damn if any of them got hurt, or worse.

Though the best offense is a good defense. Havok's surprise attack should give Lorna enough time to activate her magnetic sheild. Energy should not bother her provided there's ample time to allow her protect herself.

But it's often the best idea to take out the guy who is near the exit, not to mention the fact he was the first one that started to bother her. Stopping the 'poor me' stance, she gathers up more magnetic energy to hurl metallic shards toward him. Her thoughts are metal make good bullets, and let's see how many bullets Scalphunter can take!

Havok has posed:
Reacting to the blast of Havok and the sudden eruption of Polaris, Scalphunter pulls his weapon as he calls out, "Marauders, Assemble!" But his next command is silenced as he's impaled by several small chunks of metal that burrow deep into his chest and stomach - the force of the attack also knocks him out the large front window of of the foyer. Blasting him onto the patio and through the railing and into the bushes.

Arclight realizes that she's outgunned. She calls out, "Withdraw!" and she leaps out the other window.

Havok gets to his feet and he looks at the Scrambler who is positioned between him and Polaris. Havok intones to the Scrambler who is looking back and forth between the two of them quite nervously. He states, "You better run, little man. I don't think Lorna's gonna let you live if you don't."

He takes off running toward the foyer doorway - which puts him on a pass-by course toward Havok who steps to the side.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane is still tied down but she feels quite empowered. With the odds turning in her favor, she isn't going to be a captive for long. "That's right!" She yells as the team runs for the hills, "You better be willing to withdraw!" she shrieks, as if trying to command them herself. "And take that whore in a necklace with you!" Yeah! Malice will not win this day, not now, and as far as Lorna is concerned, not ever. The evil entity might have gotten the upper hand before, but not now, at least thanks to Havok and her own determination.

"Seriously, are you ok?" She aska him, "The last thing I expected to see on Daddy's island was you. I don't think he's insured either. Boy, I might be grounded if I don't watch myself. I better get ready to give a him a good explanation! I guess I could blame Wanda but I hate it when she hexes me!"

Havok has posed:
Alex walks up. It's pretty clear that he's got bruises beneath his black unstable molecule uniform and the light jacket. He answers as he approaches looking at how her arms are bound above her head. How the bindings keep her dangling from the marble column. He answers, "I'm a little banged up. But I came to find you. Instead, I found them ready to ambush you." He steps closer, crouches a little bit and wraps his arms around her pelvis. Lifting up, she will become unhooked from column. It releases the hold on her wrist bindings allowing her to lower her arms. He is very warm (always has been) and he then sits her down onto her feet upon the floor. "How about you? I mean... how are ya?"

Polaris has posed:
"Came to find me?" she asks, a little surprised to say the least. However, everything here points to a very surprising day. "Yeah, they can take that necklace and shove it down their throats. I'm never going to be Malice's vessel again, never ever!" She seems very insistent on that but her 'weakness' for Alex is revealed by a brief 'oh' as he just unhooks her. "Oh yeah, I mean what a relief I uhm...wow." It's his warmth that also calms her and it's a very familiar warmth. "Well better, obviously." she says in a bit of a soft spoken voice. "My arms are, much better. We all need blood to flow to the right parts of our bodies, huh?" A deep voice inside of her says <<Ok, Lorna, nightmare is over, just breathe and hopefully Daddy's contractors can clean up this mess. Just breathe don't stare at him.>> Too late, she's staring at him eye to eye, her own irises looking as if they're trembling as she continues to fixate on him. "Why did you, come to find me?" Focus on the questions, yup.

Havok has posed:
Even though he sat her upon her feet, he didn't truly let go of her. His hands remained on her hips - and unless she moves away from him, he too will linger and stare into her green eyes. He's neglected unbinding her wrists, perhaps it slipped his mind. The bindings are duct tape wrapped around several times to offer a substantially secure hold.

Alex takes a breath and then says, "I was on my way back to the mansion. Instead of going east, I decided to go west. Ended up here. Figured I'd stop in and see you. Maybe see if you wanted to come back with me?"

Polaris has posed:
Why couldn't he have called? That would make it easy to just not 'answer the phone' and go on being a new princess. He could have just tried to send an email, that way she could say that she was never in front of a computer so no working computer, no message. But, in this case? He saved her from reliving a nightmare and now he's got her, this close. When he is this warm....

But he's always been warm to her, in multiple ways. There's no need to go into that now though. The two have always had a chemistry that caused their life to be more complicated than it should have been. To say she's vulnerable now though would be an understatement. "I have wondered how Xavier has been doing and Gambet does make the best gumbo. Maybe it would be a good change of pace?" Maybe he could convince her of almost anything, especially in this circumstance.

Havok has posed:
Alex smiles. "That gumbo is pretty darn good." Then a thought strikes him and as his smile fades, he says, "Oh, your wrists..." he will duck down a bit and back up while pulling out a pocket knife from his black cargo type pants. He'll move to take her wrists and say, "Let's get this tape off you. That's gotta be really hard on your skin." He'll carefully start to cut the space between her wrists. The knife is very sharp and cuts through the tape like butter.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane exhales a little as he pulls back a bit to get the knife. "Yeah, though it's not my skin I'm worried about." Duck tape works for binding anything, and it's not full of iron. Damn the irony! "Ohhhh." the skin around her wrists is definitely red, but the small muscles on her limbs contemplate crying out in joy as she begins to move her hands like she /should/ be able to. "That's a serious relief." Still, her head pounds a bit. Getting knocked out will do that to anyone and she moves one of her free hands to massage her right temple, "I guess you wouldn't happen to have any tylenol on you would you? Or hell, even morphine might work." She's struggled with mental problems, fortunately drug addiction isn't one of them, but when you're in pain, you're in pain.

Pain or not though, she's still standing. The Mistress of Magnetism isn't going to fall to her feet for just anything.

Havok has posed:
He puts away the knife and helps to remove the duct tape from her other wrist while she massages her temple with the free one. His hands are strong and warm as they wrap around her wrist and peel back the tape with tiny angular movements so as not to make it sting worse. He says, "I'm sure we've got some in the med kit on the jet." He glances around at the damage. Then asks, "Do you need to tell Magneto about this? If so, I can hang out." Then in a wry tone, he states, "Or, you could just leave a note."

Polaris has posed:
And yes, the family matters. Wanda /is/ one of those who could just take her powers away from her, and Lorna has always loved when that has happened. Even then, she always thought Wanda was Magneto's favorite. With a bit of a frown she says, "I should just leave a note. I don't want to complicate things." Then again she is the queen of complicated relationships. Though I really need to try to clean this place up a bit. They're still going to be able to see that something went down here."

Headache or not, she knows it's good not to leave things behind in this condition. The warmth that Havok radiates could easily attract her more, and she pauses to look at him for a brief moment. The temptation to even 'put a kiss on his cheek' is definitely there. With a hard swallow she steps away just a bit to look at the chaos around her. <<Thank you Magneto for liking metal almost as much as I do>> that's her quiet voice, but this time her inner voice isn't all that rude.

Havok sees her body glow green. She doesn't have her shield up but he's noticed her manipulate energy more than anyone has. It's then that the metal plates begin to find their way back to their previous positions, and the larger metal objects are lifted and put upright like they should be. An obvious 'hummmmmmm' can be heard as the energies shift but all of this being familiar to Alex, he might be able to sense it like he did before. He knows it's just her putting things back. She is definitely not in attack mode.

Havok has posed:
An agreeable nod is offered by Alex while Lorna surmises the best course of action regarding their departure. He even mutters something, "Yeah, he would probably flip out if you weren't here and this place was a wreck." But when she begins to glow, he steps back to give her plenty of space to work. And also giving the room space because there's about to be a whole lot of flying metal all around. He also takes a moment to look outside to discover that the Marauders are long gone. Likely they used their tesseract to teleport away. It would be nice to have a long range teleporter again.

Alex comments, "Guess they wanted to get Malice in you again. That would have royally sucked."

Polaris has posed:
Even the larger objects are put back in their place. It takes a bit more effort for them and her head throbs a little in response. Oh that's going to be a migraine that's going to last more than a couple of hours. "Whoever has the gene for healing, I envy them all the time." She does have some weaknesses, though she's rarely admit that to just anyone. Now that more things are put back she turns to look back at Havok, "Oh yeah. There are somethings I really just want to leave in the past, like for good, because it's no good. Here's to hoping that Apocalypse and the Shadow King don't come back." She snorts a bit, as if such memories are kinda 'typical' even if she can't remember everything. "Now to leave a note and make friends with acetaminophen."

Havok has posed:
Alex grimaces when she mentions Apocalypse and the Shadow King. He turns back to watch her work and puts his back against the side wall. "Yeah, those guys need to stay way in the past and we don't need to go on any time traveling capers to dig them up. Heck, no time traveling capers period. But, when we get back; if Elixir is around, he can help with the brain pain. Otherwise, it's up to the stuff we have in the jet - hope that works, because altitude changes don't help with the pressure. And on that note, I'll quit talking about it."

He offers a more upbeat segue/subject change, "Hey, so. Genosha and stuff. Do yall have a theme park yet? Maybe with rides like Magneto's Magneto Super Spin? Maybe Toad's Tacky Bounce House? How about Blob's Bountiful Bonanza of Barbeque?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane rolls her eyes a little and says, "Yeah if it involves time travel, it's never good, never ever." Even if your 'friends' come back in time it's because of a disaster. "Oh, my head is splitting and popping like wood in winter, but I'll be fine. Headaches are kinda normal with everything that comes and goes. Just an annoyance." At the mention of such rides she chuckles, "We don't have six flags here but yeah, there is a bit of an amusement park. Genosha was built as a haven for many reasons, and there is always entertainment on some level. The FUN kind, not the kind that involves bad tastes in jewelery." Malice necklace is bad bad bad, and not a good fashion statement!

Havok has posed:
Alex chuckles with the commentary about bad jewelry. "Well, I figured it would be a given to have a gypsy caravan with lots of carnival like side shows. Considering the whole Wanda raised by gypsies and Magneto hanging out with those people. Either that, or some attraction called The Wonders of Wondergore Mountain... or something Wonderous. And of course they would sell bad jewelry. Maybe things with cow heads. Minotaurs. Centaurs. Whatever."

He glances around at her work, "Hey, so if your head is getting that bad, just leave it. Let's go. Brain pain sucks, and you're making it worse with the effort."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane shrugs and says, "Oh no no, I'm fine I really am. Keep Malice away from me and trust me, I'm really good. Believe me I couldn't be better. I'm not really all that fond of gypsies I guess but, yeah, I think I might get some clothes real quick. There's this really cool black and green dress I found that I just love. It's normal and then, not normal at the same time, kinda like me, eh?" Lorna does have that look that shouts 'mutant here' so yup, abnormality, gotta love it. "I'll just be right back. I could really use a break from this place."

Havok has posed:
Letting her go on about things and the dress makes Alex smile. He even glances to her green hair when she suggests the 'mutant' not normal aspect. It's a constant reminder about how unique and special she is to the world and to him. He gives a nod and will let her go grab things. Meanwhile, he will move outside and will summon the personal transport. The smaller x-jets seat two (tandem), or three uncomfortably and a bit of cargo space. The transport will VTOL over from a nearby airstrip and touch down all the while Lorna is gathering her things. So that when she exits, he will have opened the small craft and retrieved a bottle of water and headache pills.

Polaris has posed:
Poor Havok though, there's a good chance he might have needed to bring a larger jet because a 'bit' of cargo space isn't going to work. She is a princess after all and as she makes her way back to him, he will see a variety of metal based luggage coming with her. Welp, this is going to be interesting. In the past Lorna might have packed a bit lighter, but many of the Genoshians were probably all too eager to pay homage to the woman by giving gifts of various nature.

It's almost comical as she floats over to get the bottle of water and quickly goes to down the pills. As she floats, so do four garment bags, three suitcases, an African style purse, and two carry on bags. "Thank you, thank you thank you thank you." She really is gracious for he pills, but maybe Malice might of packed lighter.

Yet it's quite normal for Lorna to complicate things.

"Oh uhm." She starts to blush a little as she turns over to peer at the floating luggage, "Well, so many gifts you know? I just couldn't leave everything behind. There's this really nice ivory box I want to give to Jean too and even the professor would like this globe trinket I found made of ivory too. It's all packed." By the Gods hopefully it is, Alex shouldn't want anything else floating around.

"Not to mention the nicest hats because you know, the sun is really strong here, you have to find the right shade and oh there's this cute leather skirt that looked like it was made from zebra skin, I was told it wasn't REAL zebra skin but it's got these really cute leather laces on the sides, just wear a standard black shirt and it looks SO GOOD on me."

Remember her mood swings and the fact she just lovvvvves to ramble sometime. Oh the joys of being bipolar, it comes and goes.

But the clothes are staying with her.

Havok has posed:
Turning to see her approach, Alex spies all the floating bags/cases and his eyes widen. "Uhm.. You said 'a dress'. So, that's a lot of stuff. A lot more than 'a dress'. It'll probably fit better without being in the suit cases. Garment bags can fold up. Cases.. not so much. And of course, you can totally hold the carry-on bag. You're allowed as many items as can fit here on Havok Air. No extra charge. But it's gotta fit. Weight is never an option - considering Colossus flies in these things."

He will open up the under shell that drops down to allow for things to be placed into the walled container. It's accommodating and her stuff can be made to fit - if unpacked. .

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane just gives one of those adoring, and manic smiles. It's typical of someone who is bi-polar after all. Maybe he can see if there are some of THOSE kinds of pills back at X-men HQ. "Well, we can figure this out. I mean we have been through worse, right?" The unpacking begins. He will see that some of the dresses are REALLY nice so hopefully she shouldn't have to do any shopping in the near future. "Remember when we were studying and had to make things work? I mean that stuff was never that fancy back then but getting things into tight compartments isn't really that much of a challenge. We've been there and done that." There's Lorna, saying something first before it was thought through, "Oh yeah, sorry." She says as she does a bit of a double take, "I shouldn't have brought that up."

Havok has posed:
Alex queries as he begins to help repack into the compartment, "Brought it up? What? Back in Rio Diablo? Those were some of my best memories. You and I living off grants. Barely had a dime between us. Living in that adobe hut. Regardless of the challenges, we made it work. And it would have been perfect if it weren't for the interruption." - Which could be multiple interruptions over each time they tried to finish their doctorate back in the day. Erik the Red (Shi'ar), Mentallo, Brotherhood, his dad with the Starjammers... and so many more. They're never really allowed any peace.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane feels about ready to smack herself in the head for saying what she thought was a 'silly' thing. "We were smart enough to make it all work. This stuff is all nice, but I don't need it." Too late now! They've made too much progress on getting things packed. "I guess I could be honest with you and be honest with myself." That pivitol moment when she looks at him eye to eye, as if she's going to say the one thing that could either break down a wall of emotions for her and cause chaos, or more joy than either one of them could handle.

"I always wanted to go get my PhD. To me, a Masters just doesn't cut it."

Ok so it wasn't the 'L' word, at least not now. Saved by the thought of academia she rambles on a little, "Could you imagine just what I could become with so much more knowledge? How I could better myself?" She's also been one who has had much potential but just never been able to touch the stars. "I wonder if just for once that the world would leave us alone enough to chase after other dreams?" She looks away from him and back over at Genosha. "Magneto isn't the most loving father, but that's not his fault. I didn't grow up with him but still, there are times I don't feel connected here. Wanda has her brother, she's his favorite. I'm no one's favorite here."

Havok has posed:
With a bit of a wry smile and a teasing tone, Alex says, "You're my favorite, here. I mean, if I had the choice of all the mutants on this island, it would definitely be you. But you gotta know, Toad runs a close second. I mean really, that tongue of his..." he chuckles a bit while putting another item, laying it flat, into the cargo container. His body is somewhat tight, expecting to get whapped. He almost giggles under his breath.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane immediately rolls her eyes and goes 'ewwwwww' at the thought of Toad's tongue. Oh yeah, around here she's probably heard all types of those references. "I don't know where his mouth has been and honestly, I don't need to know, nope nope nope. He's had a few, special friends around here who have supposedly found out. Not for me, no thank you. I think Quicksilver is seeing a girl here but Wanda just pines after Vision. As far as me, I keep my tongue to myself, yuck."

She seems to have taken the funny comment well, but still, it's obvious she has absolutely no attraction for Toad. "Let's get out of here now that we have this stuff packed. I don't know if Magneto really wants me to stay or not and if you think I get pissed, oh yeah, when he frowns people around here move."

Havok has posed:
Alex agrees and restarts the automatic pre-flight protocols while closing the cargo area and then climbing inside. He comments, "Yeah, I'd really rather not be around if he wasn't keen on you cutting out."

He's taken the forward seat (primary pilot) and straps himself in. He then waits for Lorna to get strapped in and prepared. In the interim he is silent while making sure the aircraft is ready for the 12,000+ mile flight. He then finally states, "I always wanted to finish my PhD as well. We were so close."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane straps herself in as well and takes a deep breath to settle herself. Her thoughts start racing and her dreaded inner voice speaks quietly in her mind <<No no no Lorna he doesn't still have feelings for you, nope. Don't fall for that. He was kidnapped and held hostage, that's really why he came here to begin with.>> She closes her eyes for a moment and nods to such said inner voice and then addresses the current moment, "My head really is a lot better. Much. Yeah it's still a headache but I can definitely think clearer now." Of course she can! Her heartthrob picked her up in a close quarters jet and is taking her away from the palace! Why not think clearly now? "I do thank you, very much, for saving me from Malice to say the least. It makes me wonder is there any dangerous situation we are flying into back home?" Xavier's is home of course, at least on some level. "Anything I should be warned about? I can't believe that I will be going to something normal. Normal and I were never friends."

Havok has posed:
Letting her ramble on, Alex pulls back on the VTOL and lifts the craft off the ground while the canopy begins to close. He says over the mic, "Normal? Hah. Xavier's is never normal. But, very familiar. As for Malice... I didn't save you. We took them down together. Like always. Which is another reason I'm here. When I was headed back to the Mansion; I realized that I didn't want to go back unless you were there."

The canopy seals shut, and he engages the forward thrust. The G-Force is quite different when it's not done by your own mutant power. One could even have their tummies tickled.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane feels her tummy tickled, but in a different way. Seems as if the 'inner voice' that tried to tell her Havok was finished with her wasn't all too truthful, or was it? "So, just to make sure I get my facts right, even if you weren't held hostage you were honestly coming for me anyway? I am thankful for the help but the thought of you being helpless like that well." She bites her bottom lip a little and tells herself <<Don't go there Lorna. Don't go there>> The inner voice pleading she says, "Well, I'm ready for anything. I can help you with anything you need. I would like to think I am only stronger with everything I went through. I don't lay down for anyone." Except for maybe him haha.

Havok has posed:
"Why else would I come to Genosha?" asks Alex and then he recalls that he should clarify with a declarative statement and not a rhetorical question. He'd forgotten how direct she needs him to be. He's been quite flippant with other conversations in his recent past with other persons. Lorna needs to hear words, not questions; and he's just now remembering. He states in a peaceful and considerate/thoughtful voice, "I showed up about two hours ago. Landed at the small airstrip about 2 miles from here. I walked to the mansion and was jumped by the Marauders. I didn't even see them coming. Next thing I knew, I heard them taunting you and Harpoon was dragging me across the patio. That's when you saw me."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane tenses just a little but watches him and relaxes as he explains. "I ever never seen those freaks again it will be too soon. Trust me, you aren't the only one who didn't expect them. That necklace needs to be destroyed for good, but I guess we don't always get what we want. I'm glad you are safe though and as far as I'm concerned, let's make this the last malice that we have to deal with in our lives." Hopeful thinking and with those Genoshan jungles, hopefully no one manages to ressurect Zaladane either.

Havok has posed:
He sets the heading for west. As west from Genosha is actually shorter than east from Genosha. The gulf between Genosha and Africa is quickly covered and the plains and rise of mountains of Kenya are soon spotted 38,000 feet below.

Alex finally remarks, "Malice is in our rear view. But...I'm glad you came along. I mean; I sort of expected you to tell me no, that you wanted to stay in Genosha."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane shakes her head a bit, a good sign that the headache isn't as intense as it was, "No. I was just completely surprised, on many levels. Palace life is nice and all, don't get me wrong. I mean how can you say you don't like it and I did like it, but I think it's just not completely me. Sometimes I could just deal with the basic things. I guess now I should tell you I did leave more clothes back in my room. I left behind more things that just don't call to me. I'm not sure how the X-men will welcome me. I did miss them, but did they miss me? They're family, I'm more just like a distant cousin, especially since many of them don't have a thing for Magneto." The further and further away she gets from Genosha the more she wants to say Magneto and not Daddy.

Havok has posed:
Alex chuckles lightly to the remark about all the clothes she left behind. He smiles. Below, Kenya is sprawlingly beautiful. "Jean will be the first one to hug you and welcome you back. I personally think that Jean really misses you. You and she were besties for so long and I really don't think that she and Betsy get on like friends do. And nobody likes Emma. Except for Scott and I'm not even sure what happened there. So you'll be just fine. Plus, you're not your father. You're just a victim of association. Everyone in that mansion have skeletons in the closet and weird family crap. So don't you worry."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane peers out the window and looks a little relieved. "It's so beautiful there. Hard to imagine that inside jungles there are so many horrible emotions. So many hostile things and so many sorrows." She even relaxes a little more. "I really loved hanging out with Jean. I hope she and Scott are doing well. A few times it really felt like a true family. As if we were all going to be there for each other and through thick and thin. I missed that. I had associations on Genosha but, it was never really the same. It takes a while to find yourself you know. I hope we are off to better times."

Havok has posed:
Alex throttles up, picking up speed in the jet and increases a bit of the elevation to have less wind resistance. He states, "I can't fathom what was going on in Genosha. Can't even grasp what was going on with your biological family, either. I think maybe it's like when I had the adopted family, the Mastersons. It never really sunk in and we didn't share common ground. While you and I ... I think I've known you longer than I've known my real parents or even the adopted parents. Just like Scott, Jean, Bobby, Hank and Warren. We really grew up with them in those early years. Grew close to them. So Xavier's will always be /home/ even if it is filled with annoying children."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane hears the word annoying children and it brings to mind a negative thought. No matter what, they creep in. "Annoying is fine, it's when you do things you didn't mean to do, that's hard. I really wish I had my senses about me when I was younger." That could be taken a lot of ways. "I hope you have grown close to Scott, you and he share so many things. Hank he's so smart, at times, more smart than he should be I think. Warren well, at times I'm surprised he's still with us. Yet Bobby. How is Bobby doing?"

Havok has posed:
Alex listens to the words that Lorna shares, her considerations are valid and her questions are plenty. He levels off the craft then sets the auto pilot and rotates the seat around to face her. He says, "Okay... let's start with Bobby. He's doing pretty good now that he came to terms with his sexuality. He's much happier now. Warren seems to have a deeper understanding of the world after the Apocalypse thing and his connection with us is more duty than flitting around and having fun like he used to. Hank is unchanged. He's not done any more experiments on himself. And as for Scott... after my adventures in that alternate universe (X), Scott and I are so much closer. It's hard to imagine how I was such a jerk to him at times. But then again, it took a lot of growing up on my part. Getting out. Seeing the world from his point of view. That really helped when I lead my own team. So I sort of now relate to what Scott goes through."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane purses her lips a little bit as she listens to all of this. She's not a dumb blonde, even though she could be an impulsive green head at times. When she hears 'Bobby coming to terms with his sexuality' her eyes widen as it doesn't take her long to put two and two together on that one. 'Oh' she says. Again, something else she didn't expect, she didn't expect it at all, but it's certainly no worse than having Malice part 2 take control. "I am glad he is happy, I really am." She is sincere, a little shocked, but sincere. "I'm glad Hank's not doing anymore experiments on himself anymore." Trying to lighten the mood she says, "If his hair turned from blue to green, trust me, you're marked at that point, life is not the same." No doubt Lorna's green hair marked her. I'm glad that you and Scott have grown. You two have so many things to share and reclaim for one another. He and Jean are doing better than ever?" Her inner voice chastises her of course quietly telling her <<Don't you dare ask if he's single Lorna, don't you dare.>>

Havok has posed:
"So Scott and Jean.... That's really hard to say. They've actually been on again and off again, like us. He even had a thing with Emma for a time. And then with some other girl that I'm not even sure what it was all about. I just left him alone to do his own thing. Plus, I was pretty distracted at the time. But I think that he and Jean are /on/ again. We'll see when we get there. It all really depends on how close he stands to her."

Below the Sudan zips by as the craft travels northwest.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane coughs a little as he hears Jean and Scott being on again and off again. "Had a thing for Emma? No no no Jean is so much more classy than that. If he's got any sense he will stick with her. I guess that's between them though. I can't say I trust Emma much." But she would say that with how vulnerable her mind is. The fact that she trusts Jean so much is a bit ironic. "It's best not to lecture anyone about their love life I suppose. Complications can come back to bite you, especially if you don't have good taste in jewlery." Damn Malice and her necklace!

Havok has posed:
"I never understood it either. The whole Emma/Scott thing was just weird. The rumor was that he was being mind controlled. But it's unlikely because the Professor, Jean, and Betsy all 'checked him out'. So it must have been the sexy. Maybe Scott was feeling inadequate and needed a pick-me-up." Alex smiles, making light of the situation. "But really, that was a bit ago. Last I checked in, he and Jean were having a go at it."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane does what she hasn't done in a while and laughs. Fortunately it's not enough severe laughting to make her loose control of her powers and cause the jet to crash. After a few hard chuckles she wraps her arms around herself and pats her stomach. "Oh my, oh my my my. Well, good for them then. Hopefully you didn't listen in THAT long." Yeah, that's where her mind went, maybe Genosha taught her to be more bold? Nah. "They really do love each other and with the crap our kind goes through, it's really good to have someone stand by your side."

Havok has posed:
Alex laughs and shakes his head, "Oh no, there wasn't any listening. But I did hear that she's got this house with a huge fireplace and a king sized bed. Maybe Scott is getting tired of the bunk beds he and Jean have." - And yes, that was a jab at his brother for the fun of it.

Chad and Niger pass beneath the jet. The speed in which they are traveling exceeds all commercial jet craft and even surpasses most fighter jets. At this speed, they should arrive at Xavier's within 2 hours.

With his seat rotated to face her, he seems comfortable, relaxed. Happy. He queries, "So tell me, what role does Genoshan princess play? Do you hold court? Make royal decrees? Do you get your own crown, septer, and court jesters?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane peers out the window for a bit to look at the earth beneath them. It's an interesting sensation to see so much natural energy beneath them, and the electrical energy around them. She's almost in a bit of a daze from it until the chat goes on. "Oh I don't make any royal decrees. I feel like I am there more for appearance sake. When we have court it's pretty serious but I'm expected to normally just sit back and keep my mouth shut. You can imagine how I think about that. There aren't any court jesters. Magneto doesn't have much of a sense of humor." The further and further away she gets from Genosha the more he hears her call her father Magneto and not Daddy.

Havok has posed:
"Then what does he have Toad around for? I mean, he's the perfect court jester." Alex asks with a broadening grin. "All he really needs is the bell laden hat, the spinny drum, and maybe a macarena. Then he's set. He can not only do the macarena, he could shake the macarena."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane groans a bit at the mention of Genosha's favorite frog man. "He and his girlfriends are shaking it all enough. I admit there is a group there that after the court business is done, they wander off and go party. I've seen toad in some of those. As far as myself just give me a quiet day near a pool or a chilly day at an ice rink. Beyond that I'll study rocks and do other nerdy things. There aren't many geologists on Genosha."

Havok has posed:
And all of a sudden, rocks. "Speaking of." Alex starts off, "I've often wondered if Genosha ever suffers unnatural earthquakes. They are far enough from the tectonic fault lines that it should be naturally stable. But with all the mutant activity, the ecological change and remaking done by Magneto - ripping iron out of the earth, and redistributing it. Are there any sedimentary shifts, perhaps subterranean collapses which would cause shifting in the island's natural basin?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane smirks as he talks all academic. It never hurts to get back to the basics and they both often studied together, "I have felt a few tremors here and there and yes, there are definitely sedimentary shifts but Magneto is making sure they are minor and that they don't come back again. However, if he doesn't stay in tune with it like he should, something bad could happen. It's important to understand the real core of things and that's where he is an expert due to his experience, and I am not. I can see it, and feel it, but when I try to dig really deep into the earth it gets harder and harder for me to manipulate the iron. He can do it very easily, and he's also good at making sure everything is redistributed to stop a horrible earthquake from happening. I doubt he wants to destroy the utopia he created."

Havok has posed:
Enjoying the rock talk, Alex is always happy to talk rocks as well. He maintains a steady tone of curiosity. "Surely not. Though, he's often messed with forces that came back and bit him in the ass. I'd hate to think that he's inadvertently setting Genosha up for a bit of a headache in his mad power grab that puts him as king of his utopia. I doubt there will be some great tragedy; I'm just more curious about the effects of the change on the land. Akin to fracking. They were warned, they didn't listen."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane looks outside again for a moment. It is so gorgeous out there and it's peaceful. Serene and safe views are something that Lorna could never get enough of, especially since they were rare, "I wonder if nature really created mutants, or was it something else? If nature really did well, if we push, nature will push back. She's a harsh mistress. Trying to conquer the world too much will eventually have dire consequences. Magneto even saw that for himself but in the survival of the fittest concept, something will survive, and something will not. He thinks mutants will come out on top but there's no guarantee of that."

Havok has posed:
Watching her reflective gaze down into the land below as she speaks, Alex considers and agrees, "I'm not really sure of our origin story. There have been so many versions. However, as for conquering the world... You and I have studied geologic history enough to know that we are just a blip on mother nature's radar. Just like all the things that came before us and all the things that are now and ever will be; it will all come to an end regardless of whether or not Magneto wants it all for himself."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane wasn't an English major mind you, but studying in academics she recalls Eliot, "This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but with a whimper." Fatal words. "And the idea of having to dominate everything. I can't say I haven't felt that way before but I admit, it's dangerous." Spoken from a true bi-polar sufferer who sometimes finds it hard to make a choice, "There's goodness in Magneto, but his it's my way or the highway could very well be his downfall. If he really wants it all for himself, and I imagine he does, someone else will too and so the conflict never ends. If he's just happy with Genosha, we can make it work but the world still fears him."

Havok has posed:
"I've a feeling that Genosha won't be enough for him. To flourish, all empires have to expand." Alex notes in a reflective tone. He adds, "I wonder if they wrote a book in the future called 'The rise and fall of the Mutant Empire'?" He turns to look over his shoulder at the map output to see where the two of them are presently.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane exhales a moment and she knows he's right. Empires are not happy if they just stay in a closet, that's not the meaning of an empire or even a kingdom. What Alex says causes a bit of a realization to enter Lorna's mind again. She /is/ Magneto's daughter, but how far will those roots go? How much will the kingdom her father build call her back? Should she even give a damn about her heritage? Should she follow what she wants or eventually go back? She blinks for a moment to try to repress those thoughts and says, "Yeah, you're right." But his last comment causes her to chuckle a little, "Good point. Honestly Alex, I just wonder where I fit in regarding all of it. I didn't mind the palace but it just didn't call to me, not like this trip does."

Havok has posed:
Looking back from the side mounted monitor that reads they are crossing over the corner of Egypt and Lybia. "Princess Lorna of the Mutant Empire of Mutants. Doesn't quite have the ring to it that 'Polaris, Mistress of Magnetism, Magnetic Queen of X-Factor, Greater Force of the X-Men' does." Alex smiles rattling all that off. He's always been a fan of alliterations that alliterate. He adds, "I know it's not really my place. But I really do not think you have to play a role in all of that empire building. You know how we are; we tend to distance ourselves from that stuff and want to live a normal life. Nothing calls to us more strongly than normalcy. And being a princess in green... that seems too much abnormal."

Havok has posed:
-nothing to see here-nothing to see here-nothing to see here-nothing to see here-nothing to see here-

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane looks over at him as he says those words and her eyes glimmer with a hint of green as she smiles. "Yes!" she says, "I wasn't raised as a princess. The Danes never told me my mother was a queen. My hair was supposed to be normal like everyone else's but that wasn't the path that was thrown in front of me. Now someone of might who had the real power to control her own destiny, a magnetic queen who seeks to bond with the magnetic force around us all, oh well, that's me. I don't want to see anyone under the heel of oppression, I don't want to see anyone hurt." More of her 'good' side comes out the further away she is from Magneto. "I just want to live a good life, study, learn, explore. Do I want to be stronger? Of course but it's not because I want to be a princess of an empire that isn't mine."

Havok has posed:
Processing that information, Alex takes a moment to think and then comes up with a question, "Question for you. What if you inherited the whole kit and caboodle? Say, Magneto disappears, Wanda hangs out with the Avengers, and Pietro does whatever he does. You're named 'queen of Genosha'. What do you do?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane takes in a deep breath as she has to try to reflect on that for a moment. "It would have to be a duty, then. That's quite a question well." think think, boy Alex has gotten a bit philosophical eh? "First of all it would depend on what was going on in my life at the time. Assuming that Magneto disappeared and never returned, it would be my duty to take the mantle until he did. I couldn't let anyone down. There are good people in Genosha. I don't think Wanda think I'm that good, but I don't want to hurt anyone. If I had to take it and there was no other option, and there's a lot of ifs, I would try to do right by the people. Protect them and provide for them, then, go from there."

Havok has posed:
"That's a lot of responsibility. I've wonder from time to time why Xavier does it? Like, what motivates him other than a sense of justice and the innate desire for equality. But he's got a small cluster of mutants in a school and tries to help those that don't have the skills to become x-men to go out and live a normal life. But there are some really crazy mutations out there that don't allow for a normal life with normal people. Then there's Genosha. Where so many like that end up because they just can't fit in. I can't imagine that burden or the drive to take it upon one's self."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane bites her bottom lip for a moment and nods, "Yeah, it is a lot of responsibility. I'm not all that eager to take it on to be honest. Wanda acts like she's more of the princess type. Then again I think she really just wants to control everything." Yup, The Scarlett Witch makes it sometimes obvious that she can just take Lorna's powers away at times. "Magneto reminds mutants that their special. I think that Xavier sees it as everyone is special. That's one of the things that make them different. Charles still loves him. I wonder at times if Magneto is capable of love or just wanting control so he doesn't get hurt."

Havok has posed:
Alex says, "Ding ding ding.... control. It's all about the control." Then he looks out the window and checks the monitor. "Hey, we're over the Atlantic. Canary Islands are nearby. Now it's clear skies all the way home. Speaking of home. What have you missed the most? Like, what couldn't you get in Genosha that you can get up in New York? I'm thinking China Town, dumplings."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane looks away now and he asks such a riviting question. Boy, that's a big one, a really big one that could change somethings. But, should she admit it? She blinks a bit and she gets nervous. Alex knows her and he's probably seen her in all types of moods and while she can really tell her magnetic energy is stirring, he probably could too. She's not about to 'blow' per se but there's definitely something on her mind when he asks that. "Do you really want to know? Do you honestly, really want to know what I missed the most?" She looks away completely and tries to change the subject. "Oh, the Canary Islands? It's been so long since I've seen them, really seen them." But that wasn't what she missed the most, right?
