Magic Meeting
Date of Scene: 15 August 2021
Location: X-Corporation Headquarters, Bushwick
Synopsis: Kit seeks out out a fellow magic user.
Cast of Characters: Kit Killovarras, Willow Rosenberg

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Well now! When you're told that someone who might be able to help you works at x-corp, it's a fairly ghood assumption that starting at the x-corp headquarters would be a ghood idea! This is why Kit has found his way here, though due to recent events, traveling is a thing for him.

He's wearing his typical baggy jeans and over-sized hhoodie, hood drawn up and over his head, head tilted down and his paws perpetually in his pockets. It's a rather suspicious look if he didn't simply look like a goth punk highschool student who doesn't want to show their face.

A few people get asked about Willow Rosenburg, people who seem like they might work in the building, rather than those who might simply live here.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
One of the things that Willow really liked about her new job was that the schedule was very lax. As long as she made certain to get her hours in, nobody cared when she showed up, or when she went home.

Perfect for someone like Willow (who had so many things she was responsible for, like the Watch Tower, or the Scoobies).

Today she had booked off her whole afternoon from all the other responsibilities (including her boyfriend) to settle down and work at her recent assignment.

Eventually someone will point her out. "She's the one with red hair."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
The hooded figure gives a little nod to the one who points him in the right direction and a simple, "Thank you." and sets off in search of the redheaded witch. As he's walking around, he may or may not also be mentally cataloging the smells of various people, not so much obviously sniffing at them, but it's not too terribly hard of a feat to identify who a certain smell is coming from, even at a distance.

He'll eventually find her, he always does, even if he has to ask a few other people about the woman and when he finally does? There's a tilt of his head and a simple, "Willow Rosenburg?" in question, his voice only just loud enough to be heard.

It may also be worth noting to some that while this hooded figure of a student is just casually walking, his footsteps are almost entirely silent. Nope! Not suspicious at all.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow smells of strawberries and sage.

At first she doesn't hear his greeting.. "Weird. I wonder if I tried *this* instead.." Beside being a magician, she was also a bang up computer programmer. She leaned over her desk, when a big shadow blocked the sun, leaving Kit a shadow - a BIG shadow.

*blink blink*

"Oh.. Can I help you?"

Still, she doesn't know he has come for *her*. However, politeness means she puts on a smile.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
""Hopefully, yes." the figure says with a little chuckle. "Someone at my school told me you might be able to help me with an issue I've been having," he says, keeping mindful of his height. He's already crouched to a degree, though not obviously due to the structure of his legs, baggy jeans are good for hiding digitigrade legs. He's also slightly hunched, but even with the effort to seem small, he's still a fairly tall individual. "I've been trying to perfect a new spell, though for some reason I haven't been able to even really get it started properly." And yup, blunt is a thing and Kit here is as casual talking about magic as some people would be, talking about a video game or a decent restaurant.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
At first Willow lowers her voice.

"Wait a minute! " She giggles. "I'm used to keeping my voice down, because.. you know." The regular humans don't appreciate magic. In some cases, they trusted them less than mutants. "Somebody told you about me?!"

*boggle*

"Somebody here, or..?" They actually thought Willow might be helpful with this problem!

*double boggle

*Now* she looks at him. Very tall! And wearing a cloak-like thing. Interesting.. "You do know the this is a pro-mutant place? Right? I think I am the only one who isn't a mutant. Honest to gosh."

She made a cross over her heart.

(Yes, she did say gosh. Really.)

Kit Killovarras has posed:
This is when Kit tips his head up just enough for his face - and his muzzle - to be seen, his eyes glowing a soft purple in the shadows of his hood. "Pro mutant, yes. I am aware, but it's still an issue in some cases to show myself in public.." Aaand the fact that someone with his description was on the news recently for nearly beating another mutant to death not far from here might also be a part of it.

The mention of being being more uncomfortable around magic than mutants though seems to visibly confuse him. "Huh, never really thought that would be the case." he says with a little chuckle. "But yes, one of the instructors at my school, actually. Your was one of a couple names that came up the other evening when I mentioned I was looking for someone who might be able to help me focus the spell."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Ah.. oooooh.." Willow can't help but look further at him. "That picture was hideous. I can see why you would want to keep a low profile. Can I ask what really happened?"

Because even if they believed him guilty, they certainly would have been careful to give him a name, and a job to find her. The fact that they did tells her they believe he was innocent, and trusted her to as well.

But who was the teacher??

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just gives a little chuckle, a smile pulling across his muzzle ever so slightly as he says, "Well, first off I'm not a wolf, so they got that part of the description wrong." He gives a little shrug and when he's asked what happened? He tips his head back down a little, murmuring, "I tried to break up a fight, stop another mutant from beating some dude silly and even when I had him beat, he refused to stop.. He didn't really give me much of a choice." Then there's a tilt of his head as he studies the woman before asking, "So, any chance you might be able to help me? With learning to focus the spell, I mean. Mr. Da Costa mentioned you were pretty decent with magic yourself, so..."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, d'uh. You most certainly *aren't* a wolf. My former boyfriend was a werewolf and you don't look anything like him! Is? Was? Anyways.. Wait, did you say Mr. da Costa?"

Now it makes sense to Willow.

"He's my boss. And sure, if I can help I will."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit removes one of his paws from his pocket, giving a nod as he explains, "I've been trying to figure out how to focus it properly, but it's a little.. well, outside of what my training originally was meant to accomplish." There's no ritual, no visible effort and yet? a violet energy begins to sort of drip off of his wrist, leaving tiny orbs of pure energy in the air. There's a moment where it looks like they might be stable and the spell might be working, but then there's a pulse of energy. The orbs form a ring and then snap down, scorching the fur around his wrist as it re-enters his body. There's a wince from Kit, but otherwise he doesn't seem to be in too much pain from it, despite the now slightly smoking fur.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow watches the orbs and the resultant smoky fur on his hand. "It does that every time?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods and chuckles a little, "Regardless of what pattern I use, yeah. I'm trying to focus the energy into a simple projection, but I haven't figured out how to keep it stable enough to even start forming an image." He's trying to use dimensional energy for the sake of creating an illusion...

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
This was going to take a little bit of thinking.

"I think I can figure it out, but it's going to be a bit more than I can show you right now." Not to mention she would have to prepare for it herself. "Here is.. do you have a phone? I should ask that first." Yes, Willow has had many types of friends, including some who didn't have a phone - at least not cellular type. And one that didn't have any at all.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods, taking a pen and a small notepad out of his pocket, jotting down a phone number, "I mean, I didn't expect it to be something that got fixed immediately. Hell, it took me six months to learn how to manifest blades." he says with a toothy little smile. He tears the page out of the notepad once the number's written down and hands it to Willow with a nod.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
She scribbles on a notepad. "Mine." However Willow is jealous of the blades. "Really. See, I can only do force lightning. You know, that the Jedi use?"

Correction: The DARK Jedi Masters use.

"There, I'll ring you up before the weekend. If not, you get a hold of me."

Willow has added one. more. thing. to her crazy busy self.
