Nightingale has posed:
'Tis the season, or so the song goes. It's a time for roasted chestnuts, turkeys, coffee, and pumpkin pies. Indeed, in many homes, that is just what was being prepared for the following day.

However, in some of the less well-off areas of Bushwick, not all were so fortunate. Places around the table would be empty, due to anti-mutant bigotry, or any number of other reasons. And if those chairs at the table were full, all too often the plates would be sparse, or empty. It could be a bleak time for many.

However, just outside of Evolution, some tables have been set up, arrayed with boxes filled with canned and dried foods that could be turned in to a Thanksgiving feast, plus a turkey in each to round out the feast. Behind one of those tables, Shannon did her best to help distribute the food. She was dressed in a cream colored tunic sweater, dark blue jeans, and her caramel suede boots. Her left wing is hale and hearty, though her right wing looks a bit ragged, as if perhaps on the mend from some incident or other. There's a smile on her face as she withdraws a couple of cookies from a container hidden behind her station and gives them to a young girl, with a smile and a wink, and well wishes for the season.

For once, her smile reached her eyes.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has voluntered to help, but he did so under the name Tim Drake, not Time Drake-Wayne. He had heard about it his last trip into town, and has another event in Gotham tonight but that one he has to be more public with. So, he shows up in more normal clothes, but also another truck of supplies shows up a bit after him.

Nightingale has posed:
As the truck of supplies arrives, Shannon's eyes go as wide as dinner plates, and she ducks inside the main entrance to the club, calling out. "What the...? Sam? 'Berto? Were we expecting any more deliveries today?" But it seemed that they were so blessed, so she joins the crew helping to unload things, pending an answer one way or the other.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake comes over and helps as well. The recipe just says Happy holidays hope this helps. He is wearing a knit hat and continues to help unload things. He does look over to Shannon "So, where should I put this?" He asks.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon helps take some of the boxes to the service entrance, where crew that normally would be preparing food for the club, stayed behind on a day off to volunteer their time assembling boxes. "Club's closed today and tomorrow, giving our folks a couple days off unless they wanted to volunteer with this. Not many took off." She can't help a smile of pride at that, her feathers ruffling a bit. "Got any idea where these came from?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake shrugs a bit and says "Someone who thought the area could use some help perhaps." He will not admit it, and training with the bat has taught him how to cover himself on things. "Looks like who ever did you plan on putting it to good use."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon just chuckles softly and nods, with a bit of a wink. "Indeed. Whoever it was, thought right. Just wish I could thank them." Yeah, no, she knew the score, and was happy to otherwise keep mum about things where need be.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is carrying a few boxes at a time, not super strong but he is in decent shape. So, you guys do this at Christmas time as well?" He asks and says "it is good to find places who are wanting to help folks, sometimes you have to check into them to make sure they are legit."

Nightingale has posed:
"Yeah, I managed to talk Sam and Mr. DaCosta into it. St. Margaret's does what they can but they often wind up short-handed. If this works out well then yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing something like it for Christmas, too." She, too, is in fairly decent shape, more so than her slighter stature might suggest, hinting at perhaps a fair level of training on her part as she carries her fair share and then a bit to the service entrance. "I could either just sing about it, or try to act it, too. We're made to be here for each other. All of us."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head a bout this and says "True, you know, I might have a job offer for you for a night singing a bit closer to Christmas if your interested. Do you do Christmas songs?

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Tis the season and all, right? Well apparently a certain creature has caught wind that Shannon and a few others had some plans to help people and he's decided to sniff around!

Kit walks up shortly after Tim and his truck, sort of wandering as per the usual and in a strange case of 'new normal' he's once again wearing his tan tunic, dark brown pants and a red and yellow scarf with some kind of family crest on it. With a phone in one paw and a cup of coffee in the other, he seems rather oblivious until he glances to the two, heading strait for them. "Need another pair of paws?" he asks with a thin little smile.

Nightingale has posed:
"Kit!" Shannon smiles from ear to ear, turning about to hug the proverbial stuffings out of the yeen. "Sure could... just got a surprise delivery of food for the boxes, so right now it's all paws on deck. Definitely need a hand getting all that stuff inside."

Tim's words catch her attention and she stops, her brows going up. "Do I do Christmas songs. Do bears do their business in the woods?" Chortling, she nods, tilting her head to the side. "Of course I'd be interested."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to Kit nodding in greeting to the other who he remembers from a night at the club. "Cool, you ok with hamming up the whole angel look? I was thinking about maybe getting you to do a song or two for the gotham tree lighting event.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
The yeen hits send on something on his phone and then slips it away, just in time to get hugged! He chuckles and returns the hug with one of his own typical, overly gentle ones and gives a little nod. "On it. By the way, I may or may not have done a thing..." Oh.. Oh no, that's not normally a good phrase at the best of times..

There's something to be said for having the ability to move things just by willing them to move. A few objects at a time, things start to float out of the truck, though only about a hundred pounds at a time would be in the air and moving at a time, so it's not exactly the fastest process. While this is happening, Kit nods to Tim and offers a smile, giving a nod and a simple, "Hello." back in greeting.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon just chuckles and nods. "Sure, that'd be fine. I mean heck, the whole angel thing's already got me the nickname 'Precious Moments' with Mr. Stark from last year's ceremony at Rockefeller Plaza, so what the hey."

Her eyebrows shoot upwards as she listens to Kit, whirling around to face him, and giving him 'THE' look. You know, the 'Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot' one. "Okay. What the heckery did you do this time, and am I going to be needing to heal someone from it?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake 's brow raises at the floating boxes, but just says softly "Nice trick," He is then quiet to let the two friends figure out what is going on between them

Kit Killovarras has posed:
The yeen gives an almost wicked little grin as Shannon gives him THE look, leaning over a bit to just.. Mlem! Sticky yeen tongue! Right across the cheek! "Relax, no one needs healing.. At least not yet and hopefully not at all, but we'll see how well they coordinate." Again, that's about as cryptic as the yeen could be, but his words are given a hell of a meaning soon enough.

A ring of black flames forms on the ground a moment or two later, the unnatural fire spiraling up into a thick pillar in an empty space where the supplies had been being set! There is no heat to them, there are no scorch marks, no damage done by them and when they burn out? Crates are left in their wake, about four of them full of canned goods, palates of stuffing and even one full of frozen turkies! It's not a supply truck full, but it's still at very least a couple thousand dollars worth of food that just appears in a pillar of flames!

Nightingale has posed:
"Blech! Dog germs! GET THE IODINE!" Shannon giggles madly, her eyes a-twinkle as she peers over at Kit, glancing him over for any sign of injury. That trembling wasn't quite right. She'd have to keep an eye on things. The pillar of black flames does have her pause for a moment, stopping in her tracks to watch the play of bizarre light in front of them. She just smiles to herself, nodding. She calls out, -into- the flames, "Thank you, sir!"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over at the other form of magic the fact the flames are black does have him putting a mental note in to look more into the yeen, and find out all he can about him. He does look around and makes sure he does not see a little yellow bird following the yeen after the last comment. "Neat trick. is repeated, as he says "Can I get your agent's number from Mr. DeCosta?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
There is a sound that escapes the yeen at the dramatic mention of iodine, like a semi-high-pitched, grumbling noise! Well, apparently someone is familiar with old cartoons, but after a moment Kit just laughs when an older sounding mans voice belts out, "No problem!" through the last embers of the pillar.

Then something seems to register in the Aardwolfs head and he gives Tim a glance and tilts his head, asking, "So, you want to doll her up like an angel and have her sing at a tree lighting ceremony?" with a tilt of his head, then he takes a sip of his coffee before giving a little grin and a simple, "This I've gotta see. Sounds adorable."

Nightingale has posed:
"Ha. Wouldn't be the first time. Snuck into the Hellfire Club that way so I could give Ms. Braddock her birthday present that year. Didn't want to drink or anything, just wish her well and give her gift." She chortled softly, shaking her head. "I improvised a rough approximation of a Doric chiton with a length of white cotton and some creative pinning, and it worked surprisingly well. But I can imagine that anything for this tree lighting event will be a touch more tricked out than that."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "Probably hire people to handle most of that to be honest, would be a security group on you as well. Best to have those on most big events in Gotham.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Now it's kits turn to simply stand there, unpacking and unloading as he sips his coffee and listens to the details being hasked out. The yeen has that ever present smile still, though there's an occasional flick or twitch of his ears, probably listening to everything around them.

Nightingale has posed:
"Well, this'll be a lot of fun," Shannon says, her feathers ruffling and her wings flicking briefly to settle in snugly against her back. She only flinches a tiny bit at the movement of her right wing, but makes no sound. "Hey, Kit," she calls out, grinning at the yeen. "Curious, what's your favorite Christmas song? And what about you, Mr. Drake?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms a bit in thought about that one and says "I know it might be a bit cheesy, but probably I saw Momma kissing Santa Clause, that or there is an old country one called Jangle Bells

Nightingale has posed:
"That one doesn't sound familiar," Shannon admits, scratching the back of her head. "But I could make a quick study of it if you want, for the event? My two favorites would be 'O Come, Emannuel', and 'Christmas in the Trenches'." She smiles softly, thinking back on the latter title. "It's a ballad about the Christmas Truce of 1914, and I wish more people would really take the time to listen to the lyrics."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well jangle bells is a fun song, but not quite something for a fancy event." He will tell her. He brings it up on his phone and lets her hear the song. It was a song mom had heard somewhere and she would always smile and laugh when she heard it."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Well, so long as you're not singing anything by Matt Rogers, it'll probably be amazing." The yeen says at last before waggling his brows, then takes another sip of his coffee and gives an innocent little smile.

Then he starts to whistle something that sounds like 'jingle bell rock' before sticking his tongue out at Shannon.

Nightingale has posed:
Something akin to a soft snickering sound escapes the winged young healer, and... is that a giggle? No, surely it must be an auditory illusion! "Ha!" Shannon just grins right back at Kit and Tim, humming something that sounds like a song about getting run over by a reindeer...? No, surely that must be another illusion!

She smiles over at Tim, listening to the one he plays on his phone. "That's a really sweet memory. You're luckier than many to have that of your mother." Slipping her phone out of her pocket, she taps the screen a few times, till she finds 'Christmas in the Trenches', to play for them both. "Would that song suit for the event?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head a bit listening to the song, and says "Not sure about if it was just it, but in a group of songs, I think it would work, Maybe even help get the whole peace on earth message out more.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
The song actually gets Kit's ears to perk a little bit, then he gives a nod and muses, "Sounds like it would actually be a pretty good song in the right set." Mmmm, coffee.. The yeen decides to down whats left of his drink after that comment, then heads to find a trashcan to drop the cup into before heading back over.
