Synopsis: Rogue and Beast search chinatown for a Siberian Spiritualist and find him lacking in a secondary head occupant.
Cast of Characters: Beast, Rogue, Vitali Svyatoslav

Beast has posed:
It's been a good long while since Henry McCoy at least, checked up on the siberian with a side of Chinese. It isn't something he felt comfortable with, but he'd treated the body for an injury that it had sustained when the possessee had argued with the possessor and then there'd been a conversation with a Rogue element regarding potential ways of absenting a ghost from a brainpan. So, it does kind of make sense that today, cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey as it is, he's decided to venture with company, to Chinatown to see if the not-quite-homeless Siberian Spirit Speaker is still pre-possessed.

Though now it might be post-possessed.

Either way "...he hangs out here a lot, I figured this was probably a good place to at least start. Brisk! It is brisk. Gosh and golly am I glad I have fur."

Rogue has posed:
"You'd be a darlin' if ya lemme borrow some of that fur too..." Rogue offers, dressed in her bodysuit, plus leggings, plus pants, plus a tee shirt and a sweater. Oh and a jacket with a hood which is also up and over her head covering her hair. She really looks like a nicely bundled package. "It never got this cold down in Mississippi..." She says this much while glancing around here and there before turning to face Hank more properly. "You really think your friend will be here?"

Vitali Svyatoslav has posed:
Even before he had been possessed by a Chinese spirit, the Siberian had come to be of the habit to spend a fair amount of time in Chinatown. This is something that happened on account of knowing Xiang Zhao. And it helps that they have really good tea here, even though it's different than the tea from his homeland. Though the New York winter has brought cold and snow, neither of those weather elements are of significant depth to bother Vitali. This? This is something that he's used to. Snow and cold and ice. Tea is what he happens to currently have, an insulated paper cup of it held between both of his hands, the warmth bleeding from the cup and a curl of steam rising from the drinking hole.

At some point between the last time and now, the Siberian has secured clothing other than the robes that Heng Zhihao had dressed him in for the time that he was possessed. Thankfully, his boots had never been forfeit. He wears a pair of blue jeans, and a white turtleneck with a grey sweater worn overtop of it. His clothes are clean, he's clean-shaven, and his long black hair has been left loose to fall over his back. He sits cross-legged on a bench that's somewhat near to the frozen body of water in the park. The bench is clear of any snow and dry, interestingly enough. An eagle launches herself from a low hanging branch across the water, her wings spreading and sweeping through the air as she glides over the water.

Beast has posed:
"I would if I could my dearest Anna, but I am unfortunately scuppered with you getting all blue if I do. And I would probably pass out, but you look adequately..." Hank looks at her as the move brisk to stay warm. "... erm. No, there's no way I can say anything and not be cheeky, so -- I imagine you're toasty under there. Somewhere. WHerever you are below the layers."

Then his attention is caught, lifting his head as his hearing picks up the distinctive sound of eagle feathers on the air. Different than the common city avian denizens, it takes him only a moment to spot the large feathered lady as she wings over the water. "THat's a good sign. She was absent the last time I was here," he looks back at Rogue, quickens his pace and hunts the usual haunts, slowing approach as he notices. "Oh, thank gawds."

Rogue has posed:
"So say the thing and be cheeky. You're sometimes a bit too polite for your own good. I think I might enjoy the cheeky side of you, Hank." Rogue offers as they walk, briskly, because of the cold. Though she does have to laugh at his further comment of wondering where she is beneath all her layers. "I'm...warm enough...until the wind hits my face..."

As Hank's attention is taken by the eagle, so too is Rogue as she looks up and then around. "Ah yeah..." Before having to quicken her pace to keep up with Hank but once he slows, she breathes and nods. "Oh. You're here..." She offers when she spies Vitali.

Vitali Svyatoslav has posed:
The cup of tea is lifted and the Siberian takes a moment where he simply breathes in the aroma of the steam from it. His nose is sensitive, but judging by the little smile that touches at the corners of his lips, the scent seems to please him. He takes a sip of it, and then he carefully settles the cup on the bench next to him. His hands move lightly to rest upon his legs, near to his knees. And for a moment, he sits just so, his dark gaze turning towards the eagle to follow her movement. Vitali lifts his right arm, his forearm parallel to the ground, and Soraya wings her way towards him, lifting up in order to land upon his forearm. Her wings settle to her back, and she clicks her beak twice, tilting her head and eyeing him. He lifts his left hand and lightly brushes the backs of his fingers along her breast feathers. She makes a soft chirp, then leans forward to snatch a bit of his hair, nibbling her beak down the length of it.

Vitali smiles at that behaviour, and he doesn't scold her for it, this time. She is an eagle that doesn't belong here on this continent -- yet she is here because of the Siberian. He lowers his left hand to settle it to his leg, and then he brings his gaze away from the eagle. His gaze turns towards the voices that come from near, and he tilts his head a touch to one side, a smile turning up the corners of his lips. "Good day to you both," Vitali says softly. His Russian accent is there but it's mellowed from what it had been, and his English is significantly improved. He pauses for a moment, and then he gives a small nod. "Da, I am here. It is peaceful here, and pretty," he comments, looking over to the water for a moment before his attention shifts back to the pair of them. His brow furrows for a moment, and then he gives a small shake of his head. "I am sorry, for causing any trouble if there was any on the more recent times we met," he adds, his tone apologetic.

Beast has posed:
"Oh, you may unleash a monster, if I let my tongue get the better of me," Beast quips softly, looking over the tableau of soviet fellow and his eagle friend. Not that he can see as clear as he might; for all that he has a fur coat on all year round, they've yet to manage glasses that don't regulary fog up when breathing in the cold air. "And you appear to be distinctly less occupied. And I do mean that quite literally."

He glances to Rogue and back to Vitali, chuckling faint. "Well, we were mostly worried about you. There's a tricky disconnect when it comes to such cases as you were being at the time. I mean, we've had psychic possessions a few times in the past; the Shadow King and a pernicious little minx called Malice at one point, but actual dead people in the head was ... well... new."

Rogue has posed:
"Maybe I want to unleash the monster within who won't hold his tongue..." Rogue quips right back before they're both in Vitali's presence and she gives a grin. "No. No trouble at all. Personally I only barely saw what happened when things were all...sideways. So... I am just glad that you're better." She pauses. "You are... better.. yes? You seem it."

Vitali Svyatoslav has posed:
The eagle clicks her beak, tilting her head back and forth as she looks from Henry to Rogue and back again. She gives a soft chirp, a sound that seems a bit inquisitive, and then she looks to the Siberian. His dark gaze turns to her, and he shifts his left hand in order to lightly trace a fingertip along her curved beak. Her eyes close at that touch as she relaxes, leaning a little bit into him. There is communication between the Siberian and the eagle, not that it's verbal or aloud for anyone else to be able to hear. A smile turns at the corners of his lips as he lifts his right arm and, at the same time he does, she leaps from it and spreads her wings to take flight. He watches her flight for a moment, and then he turns his attention back to both Henry and Rogue.

Vitali gives a small nod at Henry's words, a smile turning at the corners of his lips. "Da, I am as you say, less occupied," he says softly. He's quiet for a moment as he listens to what's said, and then he gives another little nod. "I am sorry to have caused the worry. I understand it. Spirits pose challenges, sometimes. This has been learning the hard way, I think it is called? Heng Zhihao, her body died many years ago. Her spirit was kept in a prison. She took what freedom she could have from it," he says, offering that much of an explanation to start with. "To have been taken over by her was new for me, as well," he adds. He's never been possessed before, let alone by a spirit of her age and strength. He gives a small nod to Rogue, a smile easily coming to his features. "Da, I am only myself. At least, save for what small part of myself is shared, with her," he comments, looking in Soraya's direction for a brief moment. "I was very lucky. A friend was able to take hold of her and pull her out of me. Heng Zhihao's spirit has moved on to the Spirit World, now. She has peace," he adds, giving a small nod.

Beast has posed:
"Well, that's good to know," Watching the eagle wing her way off, Beast smiles faintly. "Negative plane projections. I should actually run some experiments with Kirlian photography, see if there's actually anyting that can be scientifically gleaned from it. Neat! A project. I like those..." Idly, Beast pokes Rogue in the well-wrapped up bicep, winks at her and takes off his glasses, to try and defog them.

"We just wanted to check in honestly. It seems what you're doing is rehoning your zen. Your english has improved though! Marvellous." Returning the spectacles to his nose, they're almost immediately fogged up again as he breathes. "I should interview you at some point. Somewhere warm, where I can see for more than two seconds at a time. For the sake of chronicaling the experience. It may help in situations in the future." He gestures to Rogue though. "But she's probably in danger of freezing to the spot. It's only because she likes my fuzzy self so much that she agreed to come out in these temperatures at all. I need to get her to where I can defrost her safely." Again, he winks.

Vitali Svyatoslav has posed:
"Negative plane projections?" Vitali repeats, sounding puzzled. He repeats teh words but there's no sign of understanding to what's meant by them strung together as they are. "I am not familiar with what this means, or Kirlian photography, or what it may be used for," he adds in a curious tone, giving a faint shake of his head. He studies Henry for a lingering moment. "If it is something to do with spirits, there are others in the city. Or I can release mine from my body," he offers. That might end up sounding odd, all things considered.

"I appreciate that you came to find me, to check on me. It means very much," Vitali says sincerely, giving a small nod. "Da, my English is better. I had very much time to learn it. Heng Zhihao was fluent in English. I learned because I was able to access her knowledge of it," he explains, perhaps just a touch amused at that. He tilts his head a touch to one side, looking towards Soraya as she turns to wing her way back over the water, and then his attention turns back to Henry before he gives a nod. "I am finding the balance within, da. It is good to have Soraya able to be near, as well. She obeyed very well," he says softly, a touch fondly. One of his eyebrows quirks up, and then he gives a nod. "Da, if you wish to, I do not mind it. I will answer your questions as best I can. Da, somewhere warm, over food and drink as such things should be," he says in a warm tone. He looks over Rogue, studying her for a moment, and then he gives a soft chuckle before he nods. "She is looking cold, da. There is a teahouse that is not far. Take here there, it will be good for thawing out and getting warm. The cold does not suit all as it does me, da?" he suggests, a smile quirking his lips. "I appreciate that you both came. Go and be warm again. We will speak again soon, and I am not hard to find," he adds, a bit of a grin tugging the corners of his lips.
