Synopsis: Genesis, Lucifer, Sinister, and Spike, take in a monster fight: Lizard v Robot!
Cast of Characters: Spike, Genesis, Sinister, Lucifer

Spike has posed:
It was one of those evenings in Bludhaven. Spike was calm, relaxed even. He seemed content as he sat on the park bench. He was alone on the bench, so could man spread, without anyone complaining. Besides, it was the middle of the night. There were few people about, as you would expect.

Though they didn't know what they were missing. For right now, there seemed to be some kind of extremely large reptile, about 15, so, big, but not kaiju level, and it was currently engaged in a fight with a humanoid shaped machine. Spike had no clue who they were, what they were, or why they were here. He didn't know if one was good, one was bad, or they were both of one alignment, or another. He just knew that it was happening, and it was 'neat'. If he had some peanuts, popcorn, or something else to snack on, it would be perfect.

But for now, he was content to watch the two giants slug it out, waist deep, in the lake.

Genesis has posed:
Genesis took the spot on the bench opposite Spike. He was a boy of maybe eighteen or nineteen, but short and thin. He had pale blue skin and awful reddish pink eyes with an uncanny glint to them. His demeanor was calm, or perhaps sullen and moody, though he did not outwardly effect it precisely. He wore an inappropriately crisp suit, white shirt, black tie. He looked generally in the same direction as Spike.

Sinister has posed:
"I think it's probably a good idea to come back during daylight hours, but well... need more dragon's teeth and the seamstress in this town keeps some extremely peculiar hours..." A familiar voice to both the individuals on the bench, drifts to the ear. Taking the cool night air in a long leather dress coat, all lines and symmetries in perfect order, Sinister walks with his hands tucked in the small of his back.

The fracas in the lake has his words quieting though. "Oh, yes. I sometimes forget this is sunnydale. At least it's not a mutated merman this time..."

Lucifer has posed:
"Daylight hours? What are these weird hours that you're speaking of." Lucifer jokes to his companion as they walk along. Tilting his head one way and then the other, dressed more casually in jeans, a long sleeved shirt, and a thick jacket. Cause. You know. Cold and Devil don't mix. (Hell doesn't actually freeze over, ya know?) His attention is drawn, like Nathaniel's, to the fighting creatures and he pauses to watch a moment. "I forget that this place is fairly violent at night as well."

Spike has posed:
It was weird to see someone look behind them, and another person in the park this late, but with what was going on, who could blame him. Spike figured that the teenager was as confused and amused as he was by what was happening only a scant 30 feet from them. Dangerous too. This fight could easily spill over to them.

Sunnydale was such a wonderful place to live. A giant lizard fighting a giant robot barely was enough to warrant attention from some. The lizard began to speak in some language, could be a demonic one, might be some distant relative of the Lizard, Killer Croc, or Lucifer's dad knows what.

"Luci, Nathan," he exclaimed, raising an imaginary pint glass, that he wished was more real, and less imaginary, "come for the atmosphere, stay for the lake performance?"

Genesis has posed:
Genesis rose, adopting a look of petulance. He glanced between the infamous duo and Spike a few times, eyes dimming with discontent and then he exhaled from his nose once quietly. He looked purposefully at the bench Spike was lounging on, the air around his head vibrating suddely, visibly bending and contorting the light into a shimmer; and that's when the bench Spike was sitting on disassembled into a heap of component parts, some of those parts like the wood becoming sawdust.

Thats when Genesis smiled, and though his face warmed up handsomely when he did, the terrible glint in his eyes became every more sickly and uncanny in that moment of happiness. "Luci, Nathan, Evan." he explained to Spike, demanding some stage for himself with his quiet and unassuming voice.

Sinister has posed:
"Well, well, if it isn't Spike. A good evening to you..." Sinister inclines his head, glancing back at the battling croc-bot fiesta in the lake. Drawing to a stop with a good view of the action, he tilts his head in curiosity at the language being spoken. "They do say that such hours exist yes. Sometime in the unreasonable hours of the morning. Best avoided. Bad for the complexion." He says in a cheery tone to Lucifer with a glance that way and a sparkle in his eye. "As I recall, part of its appeal for you, was the hellmouth. I suppose random battles at midnight are part and parcel of the violence that tends to engender."

But then, there is a moment of petulance and innocent bench disintegration and all that follows is a soft 'tsk'. Sometimes disapproval can be a very, very mild, but extremely deafening sound.

Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer gives a nod to Nathaniel, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Well perhaps we should give those hours and visiting here during them a consideration... but like you said... when needs must." The Devil offers and then, as he's greeted by others, he looks in the direction of Sprike and Genesis. "Spike. Nice to see you out and about again. Though if I recall we may have gotten off on the wrong foot before. No hard feelings I hope."

It's when he looks to Genesis, and the disentegrating bench happens, he narrows his eyes a bit. "Lucifer, if you please, young man. You don't know me well enough to call me anything but. Also." He motions and asks the question most burning in his mind. "Why did we kill the bench?"

Spike has posed:
Spike fell when the bench he had been sitting on collapsed into sawdust and metal. That was a neat trick. It was also an incredibly risky one, as the vibrations had been picked up by the monster and the robot, and also that bright light in the otherwise darkness. The reptilian creature, who had managed to get the head of the robot under the water, gave one more smash with its fist, before rushing towards the lookie-loos.

From his place on the ground, in the sawdust, Spike said, "none at all," to Lucifer, though his frustration with Genesis was palpable. Alas, he was fairly certain that Genesis was a human, or close enough that his chip would be affected, so he would have to be far more patient and subtle in his revenge for this unexpected attack. Fortunately, the creature was fast approaching the young man. Unfortunately, the robot caught him. But it did have the effect of kicking up a lot of water that would drench him, probably getting a bit of spray on Lucifer and Nathan too, and even on Spike, who was farthest from the lake.

Genesis has posed:
Genesis was now drenched but that seemed to be the least of his worries now, with Lucifer and Sinister looking to him dourly. "You don't frighten me." he explained to Lucifer, but the affirmation of his courage which was only really incidental to his lack of understanding the consequences, did little to unbedraggle him. While he may have looked crisp in the suit, he now looked at least seventeen percent less crisp in the wet suit.

"I am the hero." Evan boasted fatuously, he may have been in hero school at any rate, "So I have the moral authority here. Moral authority is worth one bench." perhaps this was his version of a joke, and then again, perhaps it wasn't.

Sinister has posed:
Sinister's right hand moves from the small of his back at the charge of the lizard. A small gesture, a flick of fingers upward and what should have been drenching ricochets off of an slightly reddish shield dome that now covers his locale and that of the devil. There's appearances and there's known intent telegraphed. He dusts his lapel thereafter, still eyeing the bench and its tumbled occupant and he who perpetrated the act.

"Evan, the ability to frighten, or not frighten an individual, has very little to do with the act of common courtesy and politesse. One might be loathe to accept such lessons, but they are nevertheless important. One attains with an ounce of sugar, a great deal more than one does with sour vinegar. Besides, manners maketh the man, hero or not. Heroism in and of itself, gives you no moral authority over wanton vandalism. Which that was, by the by. You did not need to do that." The lizard is regarded and he leans a little toward Lucifer. "Demonic?"

Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer nods his head to Spike and gives a smirk. "I'm glad to hear that." A pause for consideration. Though he figures the man can get himself up in due time, as he pleases, and watches as water drenches Evan but he and Sinister are shielded from such in a moment. A brow lofts upwards and he chuckles. "Well, that's just poor judgment in my opinion, that you aren't frightened by me. A challenge, as well, if I wish to take it as such. I do, but I won't give in to such petty words."

Then there's the question posed to him by Nathaniel and he shakes his head. "No, I don't think so. Other worldly maybe? Or something that swam thru the sewers from Gotham to here? Who knows. Not mine, however, or I would surely take care of it." Offering this much and then looks around once more. "Course...if I really wanted to...I could probably take care of it anyway... but I don't have a clue what to do with the robot."

Spike has posed:
The battle was growing ever close to the group, close enough to drench Genesis, and it would have the others, if not for the quick thinking of Mister Sinister. The same shield that protected Nathan and Lucifer, had the unintended side effect of protecting Spike, since the water bounced off, rather than passing through on its way to Spike, who was still on the floor, only now getting himself up, and thankful that the sawdust did not include a wooden stake.

The lizard creature roared, and during the grappling, tossed the robot towards them. If no one was able to move or otherwise get out of the way, it's left leg and lower torso would land on Genesis, while the upper body would land on Mister Sinister and Lucifer Morningstar.

Spike said, "well gents, had enough of this," and he began to bugger off, before someone staked him, or he was flattened by the robot or lizard creature.

Genesis has posed:
Genesis was knocked into the blackness of the night, out of view. Moments later he would pick himself up and quietly leave the area without further trouble or dialogue.

Sinister has posed:
Which leaves an incoming flying robot and an enraged lizard creature to deal with. No words actually leave Sinister's lips as the steel behemoth crashes down, but the shield is turned from a concave shape to a convex shape and he braces with a grunt, lifting his other hand up to apparently angle that convex shape (and it's Allez-oop, scoop effect) in an overarc over Lucifer's head. With a duck and possibly a heave-ho, that will do the job on -that- front. Nothing to be said for lizard-face though. The shield does not survive that impact though, nor the physics redirect that it was designed to assist. Instead of relying solely on that, Nathaniel rolls with the punch so to speak, using the momentum of the object in motion, to sustain its motion and its kinetic force, tumbling to back and in a roll back to a crouched position, whilst assisting the robot on its merry way over the top of himself.

"Duck, you goose!" This, helpfully yelled in Spike's direction.

Lucifer has posed:
While Sinister is turning his shield into a half-pipe from which to shoot the robot out of the way, Lucifer is already stepping out of the shield's area to deal with the lizard beast. Anyone like their alligator barbequed? Cause it doesn't take much at all for the Lord of Hell to summon up a nice shot of hellfire. Palm out, the fire shoots like it's coming out of a flame-thrower and fairly shortly after the lizard creature is nothing but ashes on the ground. There's a glance back to Sinister, "I think I over did it, and we have an appointment to make." Before he looks around to ensure nothing else is going to jump out at them before proceeding to their previous destination. With Sinister at his side of course.
