Date of Scene: 17 February 2022
Location: Foyer, The Triskelion
Synopsis: The Evil Camille White who SPIED on Steve years ago is caught finally.
Cast of Characters: Captain America, Cammy White

Captain America has posed:
The halls of the Triskelion are almost always active at all hours. Not just the daytime, the graveyard shift has a solid though diminished presence same as the day shift. And the beings as well as people that have walked down those halls are many and myriad. Steve Rogers, for his part, has learned to accept the presence of just about anyone who wanders the hall. For he has scene aliens, gods, monsters, and anthropomorphic concepts made manifest. So there was little that would surprise him too thoroughly.
Which is why when he was walking down the hall of the Triskelion, wearing his secondary uniform of those blue jeans and that brown bomber jacket...
When his gaze falls upon the figure making their way out of that conference room his response isn't a scowl or a frown or a snarl. It's a curved half-smile that lights his eyes as if to tell him that of /course/ he knew this. Or should have known it.
When he saw that agent from Interpol.

Cammy White has posed:
Being a consultant, Cammy White didn't spend much time at the Triskelion. Just the rare moment when she might have to attend a briefing or debriefing. She hadn't worked with them directly for a time. Until these recent events with an arms dealer that had Interpol crossing paths with SHIELD, leading to them having a meeting to decide who got to coneinue the investigation.

Thankfully, Interpol had won out this time. Not that she suspected SHIELD would keep their noses out. That wasn't their style. But they should stay out of the way so she, and her fellow agents, could do their jobs.

She paused as she came out the door of the conference room, rolling the paperwork into a tube shape then tucking it into a side pocket of her BDUs. Camoflauge of course. They were slung a bit lower than necessary, showing off a bit more of the olive bodysuit she was wearing with the high cut sides. The neckline was high but the arms were bare, showing off a strong physique. Black combat boots on her feet, BDUs tucked in properly, lace tips also tucked in because that was required. Her blonde hair was in a single long braid falling down her back. Once the paperwork was out of her hand, she pulled her beret out of her pocket and settled it on her head.
ich is when her blue eyes caught sight of Steve Rogers, Captain America himself.

For a moment, she paused, not sure if she should turn the other direction. But he was almost smiling so she took a breath, held it, and pushed her shoulders back as she walked his direction. "Captain. It's been some time."

Captain America has posed:
There was a warm amusement in Steve's eyes. This was the woman that upon his awakening had been his 'neighbor' and had been assigned to keep an eye on him as he acclimated to the present-day. A person who presented themselves as a friendly voice from afar who occasionally would give a hand with the incidentals of life.
It was only when there was a problem within SHIELD that he learned her role. Though he hadn't the time to confront or speak to her about it. There had been no time for that. And when he had made it back to his apartment, she had been reassigned.
Which left them in a curious state all told.
"Miss White?" He asks, as if that was her name that he should address her with. As far as he knew she could be an alien. Another Black Widow. Or a member of the Hand.
"It's been a little while." He stops in the hall, clearly find with chatting with her there, arms crossing over his broad chest as he gives her that look that is in all those PSAs for schools. Oh so disappointed without saying as much.

Cammy White has posed:
That look. It was killing her. She refused to be cowed though. That is one thing that could never be said about Agent White. She didn't back down. She wasn't intimidated, no matter the odds.

"Yes, that's my actual name. Though I prefer Cammy to Camille," she replied in that voice he knew, the British accent he had grown familiar with in those few months they were neighbors. "Agent White, MI6, currently assigned to Interpol. Though I was on assignment to SHIELD at the time we last met." Letting him know who was pulling the strings on that assignment.

"A few years. I am glad to see you have aclimated to the modern era so well." It was difficult to say the words, to be polite when he was looking so disappointed in her. "It was one of the most difficult assignments I've had. Far worse than being in combat. Having to lie to you..." She dropped her eyes a moment then forced herself to look at him again. "I hope you can forgive me."

Captain America has posed:
That disappointed look, it has been the downfall of nations! Though this time it is eased as he smiles and gives a nod. "No, it's fine." He tells her. "I know back then there were a lot of things in the air, a lot of unknowns. People couldn't be sure I was me. Or possibly I was some sort of Hydra weapon to be brought into play."
He then rested a hand gently on her shoulder and she likely didn't know it, but she got another look that's seen so often in the PSA. The look asking gently for someone to just 'do better'. Not that she needed to, but it also expressed his forgiveness. "No hard feelings, Agent White."
He then steps to the side and starts moving down the hallway again, though he pauses in case she has to go another direction and then these words will be a farewell. "How have you been doing? Interpol has you working hard I'm sure."

Cammy White has posed:
The guilt should not be there. It was a job. She had to do what she did. So why did that look from him hurt just as bad as the disappointment? Cammy gave a nod at his lack of hard feelings.

"Yes, they keep me busy. I think it's required or we agents might be bored and go start trouble just for some action. Or so they believe. Most of us just want there to be noting requiring our attention for a month or two." Maybe not three. That would be pushing it too far.

"I've seen the news, the videos, all the articles about you since then. Guessing you have gotten settled in?" Then a hint of a smile as she added, "You ever perfect that lasgna?"

Captain America has posed:
"You know, can you ever really /perfect/ anything?" Steve says with a wry smile, hands in his jean pockets and his footsteps slow and companionable while he walks down the hallway. At the least his body language presents himself as not being hindered or imposed on, and just enjoying the conversation for now.
"If you get some time I'd love to hear what you've been up to. My time gets split so often that I don't get to read debriefs as often as I should." Though really he isn't obligated to read MI6 or Interpol debriefs, she does do enough with SHIELD to perhaps have some insight and intel that would be helpful to know.
"Are you still in the city?" He asks with a curious tilt to his head. "Or did they pack you up and back across the ocean?"

Cammy White has posed:
"I'm back in the city," Cammy responded as she continued to walk with him. They just happened to be in going the same direction. She wasn't going out of her way to follow. Though admittedly, she did want to talk to him. To share time. Catchup on all the years since their meeting.

"After things blew up, they pulled me out. Sent me back to MI6 back home," she said. "They, realized I was compromised." She frowned a little. "Or perhaps they had intended that all along. I'm not really sure now but I know their methods can be... complicated."

Captain America has posed:
The older man smiles a little and his head bobs a bit, "Well." He pauses at a corner in the hallway that leads four ways. He gestures toward the Ready Room down the way and tells her, "This is me, but really we should catch up. You've got my information, just drop me a line I'm..."
A laugh comes from him as he looks to the side, then back. "Still at that apartment, though don't have any neighbors anymore. Not sure if SHIELD just bought up the other properties or what. I suppose I should ask."
He takes another step backwards, "It was good seeing you, Agent White. Talk to you later."
And with that he turns, walking down the hall.
