Cast of Characters: Iron Man, Wonder Woman, Pepper Potts

Iron Man has posed:
Some people call ADP, others call some other private industry security systems. Who does the Themysciran Embassy call?

Tony Stark, of course.

Blame it on Tony, however; he offered, in the 'oh hey, if you ever need to beef up your systems, just give me a call', which, of course, he meant but didn't mean. This is where courtesy backfires.

He'll talk to Pepper about that later.

Now? Tony finds himself in one of the systems rooms, under a console, setting wiring into careful, colorful collections. "Right," though his words are a touch muffled by the zip-ties he's got in his mouth, "Now, when I'm done with this, we're going to set up a test simulation, make sure it hits all its benchmarks before putting it online.."

Wonder Woman has posed:
There have been what some might have called 'events', in the not so far off past. Or at least, not so far off in the way those with longer lives might reckon time. In actuality, they were a number of months ago. An armed hostile force had paid a visit to the Embassy for reasons that are still unknown despite all avenues of investigation, and there was a 'minor' flooding incident. Not that either of these things earned a mention in the news at all -- there are some benefits to such things happening at an Embassy, after all. There are no signs of either of these things now, to look about the Embassy itself. Everything is as pristine as it always is.

It had been debated for a while, amongst the powers that be. And the decision had been made. Thus, Tony Stark had been contacted. And thus is the man here.

Technology is not Diana's strong suit, but she has an avid mind and a healthy sense of curiosity. She stands near to the door of the system room, giving him the space to be able to do his work without her direct interference. And without peppering him with questions but simply watching. She's dressed as she often is when in the role of an Ambassador for her native Themyscira -- black heels, a pair of black slacks, a dark purple button up in a lightweight fabric, her black hair left down to fall past her shoulders. One of her eyebrows quirks up at his mention of a test, and she tilts her head a touch to one side. "What sort of test simulation did you have in mind?" Diana asks, a touch of curiosity to her voice. There's also a mild Greek accent to the words, even after so many years here.

Pepper Potts has posed:
It's a rarity that Tony actually goes on these things himself, but either he was requested specifically, wanted in on the action with the embassy, is genuine friends with Diana, or WANTS to get in the woman's pants. Pepper isn't exactly sure which of these things, but half of them make the fact that she's been brought along as assistant, scheduler, and note-taker all the more awkward. She stands off to the side from Tony, prim and proper in her bespoke suit and sky high heels, a tablet in her arms ready to give him specs or take notes as needed. She gives Diana a slightly awkward, respectful smile and a dip of her head.

Iron Man has posed:
Tony's dressed down for the occasion; t-shirt with a dark running suit jacket over it, a pair of jeans, his ball cap and sunglasses are set on a table not far from where he's working. He's not been long at this, but judging from some of the noises made, he's found more than a few 'issues' that do get his attention.

Emerging from behind the newly upgraded system, Tony dusts himself off and looks around as if this is his domain, his gaze lingering on every light, every little readout before he fingerwiggles at Pepper for his tablet, adding a quick smile for her- there and gone before he spins around and continues, answering Diana's question. "Well," he begins slowly, "I was planning on starting with 'squirrel chews the wiring', but that probably won't be helpful. So.."

"Next best thing is infiltration from both recognizable forces and un-. That un-.." here, Tony rolls his hand, "is everyone else //not// of this world."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Thankfully, the Themysciran princess does not count telepathy amongst her given set of gifts, and so whatever wants Tony might have are able to be kept private unless or until he chooses to voice them. After watching him work for a moment longer, Diana turns her blue gaze to Pepper, and she politely inclines her head, a smile turning at the corners of her lips. "Would you care for any manner of refreshment?" she offers, a touch of curiosity to her voice. "For when the work has been completed, as I understand that electronics are not entirely keen on being exposed to liquids," she adds, sounding perhaps a touch bemused at that. Certain safeguards had been triggered when the flood had happened. Lesson well learned.

Her attention turns to Tony then as he emerges from behind the system, her gaze falling to the myriad lights briefly before lifting back to him. One of her eyebrows quirks up, and she gives a soft chuckle before lightly shaking her head. "I imagine it might be useful in some instances. Though I can say that there has not been an infestation of squirrels or other rodents that have managed to find their way into the Embassy, as of yet," she comments, quirking a smile. "Things tend to often be somewhat... more interesting than that," she adds, lifting a hand to make a slight gesture.

"There are some who are not of this world who are permitted to enter the Embassy and who are considered allies. This can be made to take that into consideration so that their presence will not cause any measures to be enacted?" she asks in a curious tone. Not all non-Earth beings are threatening, after all.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"I can run the infiltration specs from here, Mr. Stark, while you monitor system response, or you run them ad I'll monitor. You *did* bring me for a reason and even if was just to show off your hot assistant to the woman you're trying to impress, you might as well use me." Pepper states that entirely deadpan, as if she didn't just slightly call Tony Stark out on his possible plans here, but also remind him that they work together better as a team. Pepper isn't just a pretty face.

She sets the intruder program, fueled by the brilliant AI JARVIS, to go on the tablet and then does hand it down in his direction, since he asked for it. Hopefully he hits go and hands it right back to her, so she can focus on challenging all of Diana's security programming while Tony sures up all her defenses. "JARVIS can run more hacking and security violations permutations than any government AI on the planet and most major security agencies use our defense testing for this very reason, Ambassador, so you called the right people." Pepper reassures her, an edge of pride to her voice. She knows they do good work. She just don't know why it's *them* physically doing the work. Then she turns a sunny, warm smile in the Ambassador's direction, "No, no refreshments are necessary. It...it's just a real honor to meet you, you know? More coffee on top of this and you might think I'm nervous!" She gives a little, awkward laugh. She's DEFINITELY nervous.

Iron Man has posed:
"Never a good idea to have coffee next to your keyboard, no." Or, well, you know, floods.

Tony does indeed poke the 'go' button, but not before inputting a couple more parameters, looking up at the system, down at the screen, then up once more before twisting around to hand it back to Pepper. He has a confused expression on his face as he looks at her, his mouth opening, then closing, and again, as he trails out, "Okay, Ms Potts, I think we're good."

Tony turns around again, looking at the chorus of systems, their little lights and displays all going in a pace, and he holds up a hand, finger in the air, "From the ground, please, JARVIS.."

The moment Tony asks, the systems around him begin to light, the flashes start a different pattern, staccato blinking, and within a few seconds, all seem to stabilize back to where they'd been at baseline. "Good.. good.. Pepper, how's my read out?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
The princess turns her head to look towards Pepper, and a smile turns up the corners of her lips as she inclines her head towards the woman. "It sounds as though you are often present to assist with such installations," she says, a thoughtful tone to her voice. Her smile easily returns to her features, and she shifts her weight to step closer to Pepper before giving a small nod of... approval, could that be? Perhaps so! Women who can own their own intelligence, worth, and beauty do sometimes manage to earn her attention.

She lifts a hand, to make a slight dismissive gesture when she's titled as 'Ambassador', a smile coming to her features. "Please, call me Diana. I prefer it," she says, her tone light. "The Embassy is grateful that you were both able to free up the time to be able to come on such a short notice. It is appreciated, and the security is a welcome addition to our own that is present," she adds. She chuckles softly, and then she gives a small shake of her head. "I was thinking perhaps along the lines of a white tea, if such was to your liking. Perhaps after the installation has been completed. I have been lent no reason to believe that you might be nervous," she says in a warm tone, inclining her head slightly towards Pepper. Her attention shifts then to Tony, watching him. "When you have finished, you can both come to my office off the lobby," she offers, looking from one to the other of them.

Pepper Potts has posed:
As he adds some parameters, a smaller, almost intimate smiles crosses Pepper's features. For all her annoyance with Tony, any half intelligent person watching could also see the woman was besotted with him. She liked to watch him program, watch his mind work, see all those little adjustments he'd make and figure out why he chose what he did that day. She double checks what he's done and gives a final nod. "Looks good, Tony."

She takes the tablet back herself this time, looking it over so she can monitor the attempted attacks while Tony is focusing on the system they are testing. "Run is stable so far. JARVIS is at 150,000 attempted breaches and counting. Program is stable and learning from every failed infiltration." Her pale eyes flicker up to Diana just a moment, "Now is where things get interesting. We see if JARVIS learns faster than your intial systems and Tony's programming." She really is proud, of both of them, deep down.

A slightly more shy smile crosses Pepper's features as she's spoken directly to AND Diana offers her the woman's first name, "Ah...of... Of course, Diana." That's weird. She's very famous, very super hero, and incredibly important. Pepper should NOT be using her name. But she does as asked. "And I've been working for Tony over ten years now. I... know the inside and out of most things with Stark Industries. Happy to help." Then she says there is no reason to be nervous, which just makes Pepper MORE nervous. She cracks out a little laugh, "No, of...of course not, You're just... YOU... and I'm... ME, and it's... well, it's very good to meet you. Tea... tea would be nice... As long as we have time, Mr. Stark?" In public, Pepper keeps everything utterly formal between them. It's the only way to be professional.

Iron Man has posed:
"Sounds good," Tony murmurs, though it's hard to be sure if it's the results that he's talking about, or the tea. Most likely the results, but tea is always good.

"150,000, huh? Popular spot. Bet you guys were getting tired of hearing all those knocks at your doors, huh?" Tony likes to talk to computers as if they actually know what he's saying. After all, they all do back home!

"Okay, Pep.. looking for air and space. Load them both in, please, and keep the ground running. I want to see what sort of load..." As the request is made, there is a frantic beeping from one machine in the back, and the tech master, maestro?, is on it, or rather, leaning on the keyboards checking on the readouts and putting out a fire. A few fires.

"Okay... stabilizing.."

Tony stares at the readouts for a few more heartbeats, before he straightens slowly, and looks at the two ladies standing together. "Tea? Um.. Ms Potts, do we have time for tea?" How could they say no?

Wonder Woman has posed:
It can be quite an interesting -- and amazing -- to listen to two people so well versed in their profession engaged in a professional conversation with one another. With all things seeming to be in order, Diana's demeanour is rather relaxed and at ease. One of her eyebrows quirks up slightly at the mention of JARVIS, yet she doesn't ask any questions and instead simply watches the pair of them at work.

A smile turns up the corners of her lips as she looks to Pepper, and she inclines her head towards the redheaded woman. "Ah, that would explain the rapport that is between the pair of you. I expect you know each other well and how each would do every part of the task," she says, a thoughtful note to her voice. She gives a soft chuckle, and then a light shake of her head. "We all have our strengths, and we all have our weaknesses. With those things set aside, I am no different than you are," Diana says in a thoughtful and respectful tone. They are both women, after all, regardless of their strengths and weaknesses. Her gaze lingers for a moment on Pepper, studying her before her attention shifts to Tony with the rampant bleeping of computer interfaces.

Diana smiles, and she inclines her head towards the pair of them. "I will see that the tea is prepared and ready. Excuse me," she says in a warm tone, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them. Indeed, how could they not stay? "Do not forget about the jet, when you program for the air," she adds. Then her gaze turns to Pepper, she offers a wink, and she turns to step out of the systems room and leave the pair to complete their work.
