Thomas Raith has posed:
Tony get's all sorts of perks for just basically being Tony Stark. Between the Superhero bits, and just being a generic Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist, lots of places would love to show him the VIP treatment, and the Blue Lady is hardly any different. Which is possibly how it first came to be on Pepper's radar. Still it's Friday afternoon, and while it looks like it will be a busy night, the crowd hasn't quite formed yet. A young Latino man, who is carring a pair of Military style tomahawks on his belt and doing his best to look charming despite barely looking old enough to patronize the Club wands her quickly and tells her to "Have a good time, yeah?"

Once inside, to someone who appreciates historical accuracy, the Blue Lady is a wonder. Every picture, barstool, even the stage (currently vacant) is authentic to the days of prohibition and pays homage to that era of excess and fun.

Pepper Potts has posed:
It was rare that Pepper ran out of work to do, and she's still got her phone in hand in case something pops up, but she did want to explore the invitation from the Blue Lady to hold private or VIP events with Stark Industries. Tony got these invitations all the time, which means he never really bothered with any of them. That was Pepper's job. Then she would tell him the good ones. So, this is the last bit of 'to do' on her list, is figure out if The Blue Lady is one of the good ones.

That means she's not really dressed for clubbing, but still in her bespoke tailored business suit from the day. This one is a dark charcoal with delicate, perfectly pattern matched pinstripes carried throughout the fabric. Her strawberry hair is back in a loose at the base of her neck and Jimmy Choo heels are sky high on her feet. She nods to the young man with a slightly shy smile and makes her way the rest of the way in, considering just where to settle.

Thomas Raith has posed:
"Now let's see." comes a soft and amused voice from behind her. "You're not going straight for the bar, which means you didn't come in here on a long day looking to unwind. No ring so you're not looking for a wayward husband, though that leaves allot of options open still. That said I don't think it's a person you're looking for." He steps around her and offers a wicked smile. Long brown hair teasing at his shoulders, sapphire blue eyes sparking with hidden fire. the face of an Angel.. but definitely a fallen one. His lips turn up just slightly as if in challenge and he adds, "Would you like a slow comfortable screw up against the wall?"

Pepper Potts has posed:
The redhead jumps just a bit, heart momentarily in her throat, as the voice comes up from behind her. She didn't think she was followed inside, but then suddenly this strikingly handsome man is there and reading her for filth about her intentions in the club. Pepper blinks, giving him a slightly awkward, shy smile from tastefully taupe painted lips. "Ahh... no, not really looking for a person, or... Anything. Just looking around the place. And I think a glass of decent white wine would be... more to my tastes. But I can buy my own drink, I promise you." She's assumed he's hitting on her, the next step is to offer the drink.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith tips an imagined hat as if impressed that his little double entendre drink order didn't do anything to phase her too much. The man is dressed in an impeccable white-on-white-on-white suit and nods slightly as he gestures her towards the bar, but rather then take a seat he steps behind the bar itself. He opens a small cooler, taking out a green bottle and a chilled white wine glass and fills one from the other. "Now this comes from a vineyard of a personal friend of mine, so I do hope you like it." He then takes a crystal decanter and a highball glass from under the bar and one hand vaults himself back to the customer side. "my name is Thomas, but most folks here just call me the Man in White. It's a pleasure to meet you Miss..?"

Pepper Potts has posed:
The double entendre didn't totally go over her head. As he steps around the bar, he'll notice that Pepper's cheeks have risen in color beneath the careful foundation she swears to mute her freckles. She's just very good at playing it off and pretending that nothing ruffles her feathers because that's how she has to operate every day, especially under Tony. She tilts her head in surprise as she notices him going behind the bar, but no one else is complaining, so he must belong there.

She neatly brings herself up to the barstool in front of where he is working and slips her skinny frame onto the stool, perching smoothly there. "I'm sure the wine will be lovely, thank you, Thomas." The Man in White comment gets a smirk from her. "I think I prefer Thomas. I'm Viriginia.... Virginia Potts, but most people just call me Pepper. Or Ms. Potts, if it's business." She offers one neat, professional hand in his direction.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith raises an eyebrow playfully, "Can't you get them to stop?" He asks in a lightly teasing voice about her nick name though he doesn't pursue it even as he pours a healthy measure from the decanter to his glass and sips it lightly. "Well then I have to confess I've cheated slightly. You see whenever a VIP pass get's scanned at the door, it pings my phone to let me know to come down and greet them. Now I'll confess I'm not opposed to giving them out to beautiful women such as yourself, but I pride myself on being able to keep them straight in my head, and it pains me to admit I have absolutely no idea who you are Ms. Potts. Though I'm not sure I actually want you to tell me, I do love a woman of mystery.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Neatly crossing her legs, all the while making certain her suit skirt is smoothed down and not showing too much thigh, Pepper is clearly getting ready to be comfortable and settled in for, at least, an entire glass of wine. She raises it in his direction in a silent toast and takes a long, thoughtful sip. "Very good. Your friend knows what they are doing. Pinot Blanc?" She hadn't asked before drinking, happy to go into the experience without any pre-judgments.

Then his commentary about the VIP passes gets an honest chuckle from her throat. She shakes her head gently, "I'm not the VIP. Not really. That would be Tony Stark, but he can't visit every club in the city who wants to work with him or host an event. So, I'm the assistant and the club visitor. I promise, I'll say nice things about you."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins slightly and "Ahhs," at her explanation. He nods some and sips his own drink leaning back a bit and looking amused, "well then it's my gain I suppose. Nothing agienst Mr. Stark but I will take your company any day." He looks her over and smiles. "Still must be a hell of a job being forced to go to nightclubs and hotspots in his stead." He says playfully.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"I am sorry if I ruined the mystery for you. I just prefer to be a straight forward person when I am able. Short of mergers and acquisitions... I prefer a life of honesty. We all have too little time to dance around lying to each other." Pepper admits frankly, taking another sip of her wine as she tries to get herself to relax into leaning on the bar. She's not a woman who does relaxing very well. "And you know very little about my company to gauge that. I could be utterly miserable." She teases him, lightly. "This isn't my only job. I'm his executive assistant. This is just... it's something I do when I have a bit of time. I'm told I should get out of the office more." Her nose wrinkles as she says that. She might not really agree. She likes her office.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith looks highly amused at that. "Oh I am quite sure that you have plenty of mysteries to unravel Ms. Potts." He says with a wicked smile. "that said I can at least be sure you are enjoying my company, or at least you are very good at pretending." He sips his drink again and tilts his head slightly, "Though I have to argue with you on one point... There is always time for a little dancing." He says that as he slips off the barstool and as if on cue the canned music playing switches to a slow smooth jazz number, his eyes glittering wickedly.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"Oh, gosh, I don't... really..." Pepper stammers out about the dance. But Thomas is charismatic, she does know HOW to dance, and a little more convincing gets her out onto the floor for at least one dance before he needs to take care of other patrons.
