Cast of Characters: Gambit, Quake

Gambit has posed:
The Blue Lady is one of those interesting places. In the early and mid afternoon it's where the rich and powerful will have luch, sip cocktails, and discuss ruling the universe. At night it becomes one of the trendiest clubs around with lines that can sometimes go around the block. And in the late afternoon early evening, like right now? It's a quiet place to unwind after a hard day, enjoy some good food and music. That is what Remy is doing right now, sipping a scotch and nibbleing at a plate of shrimp Scampi as he watches the people come and go in the Club.

Quake has posed:
Since she's told Fury about Hawkeye she'd been down. And to tell the truth, not knowing what to do. Which is how she found herself at the Blue Lady (before the hotspot hours). First of all she realized she was underdressed. Extremely so. The second thing that she realized she had know clue what to do at an upscale place like this. They didn't even have pool!

Skye began thinking this was a wrong move.

Still, she was here. May as well have a drink. Right?

Gambit has posed:
It's likely a good thing she didn't meet Remy in a place that has a pool table. The Cajun has a habit of letting people leave slightly lighter in the wallet when it comes to pool. Still he sees he looking a bit dazeled and confused and he offers the woman a wicked smile. "Girl come inta a place wit' dat expression usually mean one of two t'ings." He says in a playful tone. "Firs', she lookin' foh trouble. Second. She is trouble."

Quake has posed:
Skye had two responses.. well three. She could turn around had go back out the same way she had arrived.. But since she wasn't doing so, she was left to ignore, or answer.

She responded. After all, she was a smart mouth in the best of times!

"Well, I'll give you two chances, but the first one doesn't count."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a little bit. He's wearing sunglasses in doors but it's an easy genuine grin. "Don' mattah eit'er way chere, Ole Remy always enjoy a lil trouble. Buy yah a drink chere?" He asks signaling to the bartender. The bartender kinda resembles Bruce Willis in RED, only with an eyepatch and scars showing around his eye that look like bird talons.

Quake has posed:
Skye looked over him, up once down, and shrugs. "One drink. You've got me for one drink." And she took a seat with him.

What to drink - that was the question. "They have beer on tap?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a little bit, "Funny, mah mamma said de same t'ing ta mah pappa de day dey met." He offers with a wicked smile. The bartender nods to her, walking over and pulling a beer for her into a frosted glass and setting it on a coaster in front of her, walking away without a word. "So does a drink least buy me a name?"

Quake has posed:
"My friends call me Skye." She shrugs. "The others call me Agent Johnson."

Is that a very slight warning, or is she joking?

"You can call me Skye. I really don't answer to the other one." Very rarely. "Sooo.. do you try to pick up ladies very often? Or was it by chance I stumbled into you on a good day?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins slightly, tilting his head, "Well Ah appreciate being included in dat group. Yah c'n call me Remy chere." He smirks a little bit, touching his own beer glass to her's and smirking. "Oh it's a lil from coloum A, an' a lil from coloumn B. Course yah stumbleing inta me make de day jus' a lil bit bettah, non?

Quake has posed:
Ah beer. A fancy, imported beer - but a beer nonetheless.

Skye took a swallow, and grinned. "Lucky me. And it's better that you're eating here. I'm not a good cook. I know tons of takeout numbers, but my usual piece de resistance is Mr. Noodles." Well she had learned two or three things to cook in the interim these days, but there happened to be a time where Mr. Noodles was it.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a little bit as he slides his plate a little closer to her, "Go 'head, take a bite." He says offering her his untouched Salad fork (that likely was paired with his untouched salad. Who eats green stuff when there is shrimp available." He smirks a bit, "Oh, if yah got a lil imagination yah be surprised what yah c'n do wit' jus' Mr. Noodles.

Quake has posed:
Skye does not eat salad. Ever.. well /almost/ never.

"Thanks." She picks up the fork and skewers a shrimp. "Me? It used to be straight from the package Mr. Noodles. Really." She nodded to stop him from protesting she 'must have had something in them'. "That and chocolate bars. And cold coffee."

Not that the coffee started out cold. She could make one cup last a whole night long at the coffeeshops that gave free internet to customers.

"I didn't have any money back then."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly and it's obvious that despite sitting in such a high class place and wearing a very nice suit and eating shrimp he actually does understand. "Ah get dat chere. Homeless when Ah was a kid. Remember eatin' Mr Noodle dry cause didn' 'ave a way ta 'eat it up. So Ah get where yah comin' from.

Quake has posed:
"I ran away from the group home when I was about 13. Lived on the street until I found my calling so to speak." Skye skewered up a second shrimp. "What's your story?I mean you can obviously drink and eat here. Those aren't cheap drinks. Nor the meals."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shrugs slightly. "Mot'er abandoned me in a bus station when Ah was six. 'Round 14 got adopted by de man Ah call mah pappa. Taught me a trade, made a good life foh mahself at it. Still remember what it like goin' ta bed wit' an empty belly fou' nights outta five dough. Swore Ah'd nevah let mahself be dat person evah again."

Quake has posed:
Skye presses her lips together.

"When I was an infant, I had no parents. And for whatever the reason I was never adopted. In fact from about 2 or 3 I was put in an orphanage. From there I went to the group home. I figured they weren't going to miss me."
