Cast of Characters: Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch

Quicksilver has posed:
There's been a circuitous route taken through the city, which is nothing particularly out of the ordinary -- he makes his rounds, keeping an eye on things as he sees fit to do. The speedster has ended up on the doorstep of a Chinese food restaurant in Two Bridges. He pauses there for a moment, then lifts a hand to lightly pull his fingers through his white hair. He retrieves his phone from the back pocket of his black jeans, unlocks the screen and then jots off a quick message to his sister -- 'Meet for lunch?'. He steps forward, pulls open the door, then steps into the restaurant before making his way to a table in a back corner where he can keep an eye on the entrance.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
By contrast, Wanda took a far more direct route. It hadn't taken five minutes for her to appear here. No, she must have been up and about and ready for lunch already. The sullen scarlet signature that is her magic appears before she does. She seems to step from within it, and is then... there. Just there. She is dressed in a crimson wool thigh length jacket over a plain green teeshirt that matches the jade of her eyes, and a pair of black jeans and sleek black heeled boots. She steps to the door and within. She pauses just long enough to give a greeting, in Mandarin, to the Chinese server and to spot her brother. She guestures toward him, and rattles off a food request, also in Mandarin, before making her way to him. ... but only for herself. He's on his own.

Quicksilver has posed:
Wanda often takes a more direct route -- it's the nature of her magic. Pietro could have, but he likes to run and patrolling the city is a fairly good use of his time. Even if he doesn't end up coming across anything, which is often the case. The speedster turns his gaze in the direction of the door when it opens to admit his sister, and a smile quirks at the corners of his lips. The toes of one of his feet fidget against the floor, bounding a bit, but if he's impatient then there's no other sign of it in him. He wears a pair of black running shoes, black jeans, and a blue and grey shirt with long sleeves. Unlike his sister, he doesn't speak or understand Mandarin. That doesn't stop him from making an order to the server who comes to the table, doing so while Wanda is still on her way over to the table.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Plus, why would she take the long route if she doesn't have to? That would be terribly inefficient. Wanda exchanges a few more words with the host before she crosses on over to Pietro. "Lunch was a good idea," she says in English, an easy smile coming to her face. "How was your patrol?" She pulls out a chair and sits down, facing her brother.

Quicksilver has posed:
A smile quirks at the corners of his lips as his sister reaches the table he'd chosen, and he gives a nod to her. "I was hoping you'd feel that way about it. And I figured since I was hungry that you likely were," Pietro comments, his blue eyes showing a touch of amusement to them. He lifts one of his shoulders in a bit of a shrug at her question. "It was uneventful, today. It has been that way for the past few days -- I'm not sure if it is my timing or just luck," he muses, giving a bit of a chuckle. Not that he minds not running into something. "How has your morning been, Sister dear?" he asks.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Uneventful is good," says Wanda. She shrugs a little bit, unbothered by uneventfulness. "It means an easy day." She reaches for the ubiquitious glass of water upon the table. Once her fingers are around it, she lifts it and brings it to her lips for a sip. She doesn't answer until she lowers the glass again. "It wasn't bad, all in all."
