More than Devils
Date of Scene: 30 November 2022
Location: Fort Joseph, Haven
Synopsis: A chance meeting between a spider and a yeen.
Cast of Characters: Arana, Kit Killovarras

Arana has posed:
The game ends, with the Devils scoring a massive single point versus the opposing team. 1-4 is not the best game, and the audience leaves perfunctorily, knowing that it's probably going to set the team back this season.

"Hey, at least it's not the playoffs yet," Ana says to a nearby kid. Who ignores her entirely, this city not known for its gregarious nature. She looks at him walking away, and goes, "What?"

Looking around, she's not entirely sure how to get back to the subway but she does see a garage nearby. She pauses, looking in the window as a bunch of saddened hockey fans walk past. "Ooh. I could almost afford that regulator. Who am I kidding, on what allowance querida?" She shakes her head.

It gives someone a chance to pick her pocket. Which is so not the way to get back on a subway tonight.
Kit Killovarras has posed:
It would likely have taken a few moments perhaps for the young lady to notice her pocket had been picked, if it weren't for the sudden blood-chilling scream that comes from the thief!

As well as at least one or two of the upset fans, given the nature of what just snatched the arm of the thief.

It's wearing a hoodie, standing at just around six and a half feet in height, but it's eyes are glowing with a violet light, illuminating the entirely inhuman face of the creature that seems to have simply appeared from somewhere among the bummed out Devils fans.

The clothing seems familiar, wasn't he among them? Black jeans, black hoodie, both sporting no emblems of any kind, but this thing is certainly not human! It looks more like some kind of werewolf, but it's ears are rounded instead of pointed and it's muzzle is a little too slender.

The pocketed item is simply taken from the hand of the panicking thief before they're released and allowed to run away in terror, the massive creature simply watching them as they nearly run full force into an old junker car near the garage in his flight.
Arana has posed:
Ana turns and sees not a rescuer, but a creature scaring the crap out of someone. She doesn't yet know that her wallet's missing! "Madre de dios!" she exclaims, taking a step back away from him. She pops her hands up into a defensive position, then glances at the running guy.

She looks back and frowns. "Don't have my taser," she doesn't own a taser "but I'm no pushover either." She looks up, then takes a deep breath. He's a big'un. She supposes she can hold him off long enough for the Devils fans to get away.

Though honestly they're mostly gone already. Gothamites are incredible at buggering off.
Kit Killovarras has posed:
The fleeing fans aren't given much attention by the creature and it doesn't seem to advance on the woman in any way, though it is looking at her. After a moment, it opens it's paw and allows the wallet that had been stolen to simply levitate from it, floating seemingly of it's own accord now at just about the half-way point between it and the woman it belongs to.

"I believe this belongs to you.." it says in a rather too-soft voice for something of it's size and figure.

The people in this part of town aren't used to Kit yet, so they still tend to panic at the sight of a massive creature like him, but it'd also be worth mentioning that he's not yet bared his teeth, nor attacked anyone beyond simply grabbing the arm of the pickpocket and his stance seems rather relaxed as well.

Could he really have just been walking past with the crowd?
Arana has posed:
To be fair, Ana was staring at the window at the time.

She pats her pocket real quick, then looks at the wallet. Then, with a -remarkable- amount of courage given the size difference, she walks over to it and looks at the floating accessory. Raising an eyebrow she looks at Kit, then takes it into her hand. She seems a fair bit less defensive now.

"Overreacted a bit?" she asks. Probably about herself. She's not backing away any further, her brain rewiring to accept that this might not be a combat moment after all.
Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Most people do," Kit says with a little chuckle, a smile tugging at the sides of his muzzle. "But then again, I don't really blame them for it. It's not every day you see a giant hyena." He gives a little shrug and studies Ana for a moment before he bows his head ever so slightly as he adds "Name's Kit, sorry if I startled you."

After a moment, he gives a glance around, taking note of how few of the other pedestrians are still present, the few who still remain are a mix of either people wide-eyed and frozen in fear, or people who have seemingly just don't care about what they've just seen happen.
Arana has posed:
Ana reaches up, rubbing the back of her head with one hand as Kit explains. She has on a spider-man t-shirt that's a bit light for the weather, over cargo pants and clunky shoes. It seems to work overall. "Anya," she says, pronouncing the 'n' properly. "Gracias for the save. I would have gotten home, but I doubt it would have been near as comfortable."

Clinging to the top of a subway car is rarely comfy. Inside is more preferable really.

"So you make a habit of hanging aroung car shops to save girls in the dark?" She grins, to take the sting out of it.
Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit slips his paw back into the pocket of his hoodie with another little shrug as he muses, "No problem, I know how bad it can suck to get stranded in this area, so.." his ears twitching ever so slightly before he explains, "Well, normally I wander and just help whoever I see who seems to need it." as he walks a little closer towards the garage. "That and the person who owns this place is a friend. I was hoping she'd be in, but I can't smell her, so chances are she hasn't been home for a little while."
