Synopsis: Superman pays a visit to the Themysciran Embassy
Cast of Characters: Wonder Woman, Superman

Wonder Woman has posed:
It's a Monday afternoon at the Themysciran Embassy. Diana spent most of the morning in meetings at the UN and has made her way, finally, back to her office. Sitting at her desk, she looks at the various folders realted to policies and committees. It isn't nearly as glamrous in appearance as Wonder Woman saving innocents from a runaway subway train, or a sinking ship, but it is no less important work that still has an impact on helping save the world. Just in a different fashion.

Dressed in a plum colored designer skirtsuit with an ivory colored blouse under the jacket, her hair is left down and loose around her shoulders.

She smiles at one of her aides. "Thank you Ellen. Can we get more details on that UN Security Council meeting? There were to be some resolutions regarding issues in Eastern Europe that I would like to learn more about before I try to speak with any of the Council members about their positions."
Superman has posed:
Superman's flying over the skies to New York. There's one destination and that's when he stops. It's bound to gain some attention. Floating outside of the office window, Superman looks toward diana then gives a soft smile with a gentle wave. Then he floats down to the door and waits for proper protocol to move inside. This is technically land of Themyscira. And so, Superman is going to respect the sovereign powers of this sacred space.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince's voice trails off as movement outside the window is noticed. The smile that crosses her features reaches to her eyes, the pale blue softening at the sight of her frinend and ally.

"It.. seems that I am about to have an unscheduled visit. If you could get that information for me by this time tomorrow that would be perfect."

Ellen nods, gawking out the window at the sight of Superman, "I, uh. Sorry, Diana. Yes. I'll get the details for you." The redheaded aide turns and steps out of Diana's office.

Diana smiles. "Thank you." Then she steps to the doorway and looks to her assistants at their desks, "Jess, Clay, I've got a spontaneous meeting I need to attend. Will you please hold my calls and reschedule the Two-Thirty and Four PM appointments for later in the week and offer my apologies to both? Thank you" she offers in appreciation as they both agree.

Turning back into her office and closing the door, she steps to the French doors that lead to the private patio space off of her office. Opening them and stepping outside, she looks to Superman with an amused, if curious smile.

"Superman. To what do I owe the honor of your visit? I hope that everything is okay?"
Superman has posed:
"I've been gone too long Diana. This is me making up for lost time," Superman admits quietly and he will offer the woman a hug, if she's willing to accept it. "Shall we go inside?" he asks the woman knowing that the conversation should be private. Nothing too scandelous, but he knows various business, personal matters and the like to be discussed. Superman wants things that should be a secret to remain one. "How have you been?" he asks with genuine curiousity. Those sky blue eyes even look concern and make sure she's not worse for wear compared to the last time they met. It seems like so long ago.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles warmly and steps into the hug. Tight as only a Krpytonian and Amazon could offer.

"It is always good to see you. Certainly." Another smile, "This way." She turns and lets him enter first, following and closing the doors behind them.

"I have been well, thank you. Busy with the matters of the Embassy. Thankfully there have been few pressing emergencies of any sort. Even things with the League have been uneventful. I know better than to take it for granted. It never stays quiet that long" she adds with regretful tone she knows he can relate to.

"And you? Have you been well?"
Superman has posed:
"I always worry about the quiet," Superman admits as they move into the building. He will gesutre for her to lead as she knows the building. "I have been getting back into the civilian life, for better or worse, it's been a nice change of pace." Sky blue eyes look toward her for a moment. "I am happy you're doing well. I've been wondering if we need to do a recruitment drive for the League or call a meeting," he admits and follows behind the woman.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince nods knowingly. "Yes. It is hard to appreciate it and not let worry overshadow." The never ending struggle of those who are counted on to help protect others, at whatever scale.

"Oh? That is good, though, yes? It is important not to lose that part of our selves."

Gesturing toward a small sitting area beside several large floor to ceiling book cases, she silently offers a seat. The seats are all plush and comfortable to set a person at ease when using them.

Moving over herself, she nods. "That does seem like a good idea to consider. Perhaps the meeting first. Take an accounting of who is currently active and available and then consider how to reach out for new members as you say."
Superman has posed:
"No. It's not," Superman admits to not losing that part of themselves. Sky blue eyes look toward her as she brings up the struggle. Sitting in one of the chairs," he looks to the woman. "Batman is active," that much he does -know-. "I know there are others, but I hear more whispers of them than see them. There could be new blood to join to make up for lost members," he admits, knowing that some seem like ghosts from the past as opposed to people living in the present. It makes him sigh for a moment.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Moving to sit in one of the seats situated at an angle toward his seat but beside rather than across from him, she settles. Crossing her legs at the knee, she smoothes her skirt absently and nods. "Yes. He has been focused largely in Gotham, as usual. But he is active and I'm sure that we can count on him for matters that reach the League. Black Canary is active. I believe she has had some dealings in Manhattan or Harlem perhaps. Beyond her work in Vancouver with Alpha Flight. She is still willing to be active with the League, I believe. And then I have also seen your.. larger cousin around. Power Girl. Of the members those are the ones that I spoken or worked with recently."
Superman has posed:
"Black Canary," his voice trails, but maybe not in a bad way. "She's good. She just needs to wear a mask more. She does too much without a disguise, I do worry," Superman admits. It's not him looking down. There's a genuin concern for her. Like somehow this could come back and bite her.

Smiling at the mention of his cousin, "We could count on her," Superman says with that big smile. It's one of pride. It's nice to know family is still about. "I haven't seen too many other heroes. I can't say who would be a good fit," he admits. This would take time for him to give more assessments on. Although, he is willing to welcome many others into their doors.

"Any others you may want to bring up, from a personal perspective," he asks, curiously.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince considers, "She has a unique perspective on it all, admittedly."

Nodding about Power Girl, she smiles, "I believe we can count on any that are currently with the League if they are able to respond when the call goes out."

"As for others. There are some I might have considered but are currently busy with other obligations. Koriand'r, Starfire, for one. But I believe she is in deep space currently. "It is curious we have not seen any of the Lantern Corp recently. It would be good have Hal or Kyle or John in times of need. Their Lantern talents are singularly beneficial."

Idly tugging at a lock of her hair as she thinks. "Perhaps it would be best to place an open call to all past and current League members? Have a gathering on the Watchtower and see who is available. And then we can know what aspects of the League to focus on shoring up with newer members."
Superman has posed:
"It's not a bad perspective. I'm just wanting the hero to be safe," Superman admits. It's not a slight against her. Superman's just worried with all of the exposure would somehow make her a target.

"Starfire would be a good candidate. Nightwing, too,' Superman says tossing out another name. Both would be great additions.

"I would like a Lantern or someone with a similar powerset," he knows that there is a few heroes that could fit the bill. It's a question of -if- they would liek to join.

"I would say a meeting first. Maybe extend a few private invites then an open call," a best of both worlds type of thing is Superman's approach. He would expect Batman to think of going with a more private approach.

"No students on Paradise Island stand out?" he asks. Then he lets out a smirk.

"Why do I feel like parents, or teachers, trying to bring students to the class?" he asks, genuinely.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince listens to his thoughts and nods. "It seems like the best course of action. There will always be those who answer the call. I do not fear that we will be lacking. Planning is always better however."

She smiles. "I am certainl that my sister would be willing to consider it. Artemis. Though her temper is often quick to smoulder." A shrug, "But they have obligations presently. I think that they would prefer to be.. on call as it were rather than fully on duty. I know they will answer if needed."

"Yes. It feels that way doesn't it?" she agrees wtih a laugh. "But if not us, who will do it. Leadership isn't about desire, but seeing a need and being willing to help others be successful."
