Synopsis: Scott invites Warren and Rogue over for some advice on a future endeavor...
Cast of Characters: Cyclops, Rogue, Archangel

Cyclops has posed:
It was a relatively nice night and Scott wanted to hang out. Making a call he invites Rogue and Warren over for drinks and snacks maybe a game or movie night. He sits on the couch and waits his guests his auburn hair slicked back ruby quartz shades on black t-shirt and blue jeans. He hums to himself as he waits.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue shows up and, due to the invite, just lets herself walk right on in. "You know it's a real bad thing when ya get bored, Summers. Yer lucky I like ya enough ta come help rid yerself of such." This said in that Mississippi accent she's never been able to shake. She's wearing jeans, a long sleeved skin-tight latex top with a tee shirt that reads 'Sarcasm : Just one of my many talents', and a pair of black gloves.
Archangel has posed:
Warren had been trying to make a concerted effort to socialize with his fellow X-Men of late. So he came out of a feeling of obligation. As he was civilized, he would knock on the door first, and ring the doorbell after a brief moment to see if the knocking achieved his goal. He was dressed in a light grey business suit, light purple silk shirt, and a matching grey tie, as well as purple handkerchief, and black leather shoes. His suit had an English cut, while his shoes were Italian. For anyone taking notes, his car was German. But in the little gift basket he carried, there were French wines, cognac, and a selection of cheeses. He was raised not to attend a dinner party without a gift. When greeted, he would present his gift, and join Scott and Rogue.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers smiles. "Well aren't you a pistol as always. But good to see you Rogue." And then there's the knock and the ring. "Hey Warren come on in, please sit down make yourselves at home." He takes the basket gratefully setting it down. "That was nice of you Warren thank you so how have the two of you been?"
Rogue has posed:
Rogue gives a laugh with a grin. "You know you wouldn't have me any other way, Summers." This offered as she shifts to plop down on the couch just as a Warren makes an appearance. He's offered a smile and a sort of half salute. "Mister Worthington. Nice to see you again." Gaze shifting over to Scott. "Been alright. Took a flight out to the woods for a reprieve recently. Nice moment of solitude and all. Was fun."
Archangel has posed:
"Thank you, Scott," said Warren as he gave his gift, and was welcomed into Scott's home. He would head into the living room, joining Rogue, though he took a seat on the opposite end of the couch, because everyone loves an arm rest, and the only people who sit down in the middle when an end is available are probably members of the Brotherhood. "I've been well, I taught Rogue how to play golf the other day." Then turning to her, "you're a natural."
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers smiles and laughs. "Golf huh? I personally prefer baseball." He says sitting in a chair the fireplace has a fire burning in it a beautiful orange light bathing them all. "Well both of those sound as though they could be relaxing, I however have been thinking of new ways to train, to stay sharp, tactics we can take into the field and the like. Have either of you seen Jean since we got back?"
Rogue has posed:
"Was his choice, not mine. But I have to admit...it was pretty fun." Rogue offers, giving Warren a side eye before glancing back to Scott. "Ugh. Of course that's what you've been doin'. Cause you can't ever turn that part of your brain off, right?" A blink. "No. Ain't seen Jean in a while. Honestly I ain't seen either of you in a while. Thought you might've abandoned us once and for all or somethin'..."
Archangel has posed:
Warren had never much cared for baseball, but he was a great sportsman, being an athlete, and owning professional teams, "That's interesting. I would have thought that you would have appreciated team sports. Okay, yes, baseball is technically a team sport, but very little teamwork is involved. It's simply a collection of individual efforts that on rare occasion, just so happen to intersect." But then Scott had to turn this into a work affair. It was a miracle that Warren managed to prevent rolling his eyes. He returned Rogue's smile, "we must do it again sometime." Unable to resist the urge to tell a joke, Warren asked, "no, I am afraid not, but she is always welcome at the manor." Worthington Manor. Although he no longer pursued Jean Grey, in his teens, he had fought Scott for her affection. She chose the latter, which just went to prove, there was no accounting for taste.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers shakes his head. "Wed never abandon the team and the school, the school is Jean's life the team has been mine for a long time." He laughs at Rogues comment. "No I mean yes I always think of it no, there's no turning that part of my brain off, but no not a work thing." Rolling his eyes at Warren. "Careful Warren keep saying stuff like that I might start thinking you're turning into Logan." Laughing he pulls out a box a small one. "Actually wanted to get your opinion on something both of you."
Rogue has posed:
Rogue nods to Warren. "Maybe not golf though. I might could show you a place /I/ go when I want to relax a bit. Get away from things..." Offering this to the man in a suit during a casual meeting before her attention goes back to Scott. "Look, I promise a lot of us still make fine use of the gym /and/ the danger room..." But then Scott's pulling out a box. A small box. "Well butter my biscuits, is that what I think it is?" Course, that just depends on what Rogue thinks it is, and she didn't say so who knows!
Archangel has posed:
"If you think that I am a short, dark haired, Canadian, you may need to adjust that visor of yours, Scott." Warren said, before hearing Rogue's offer, "that sounds interesting Rogue. We'll have to give it a try." He did not have a speculation for the contents of the box, but he did smile at Rogue's southern charm of buttering her biscuits. He added, "Never change, Rogue," Before waiting patiently for Scott to explain or show the significance of the box.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers laughs. "Warren you keep after my girl and I'll start calling you Logan." He teases back but to Rogue he laughs. "I agree with Warren on that Rogue, Never change Rogue never change." As for what it is Scott opens the box inside is an Engagement ring, white gold band, three stone set far left a sapphire, center and emerald, far right a ruby. "I'm thinking of finally asking Jean ya know to marry me, think she'll like the ring?"
Rogue has posed:
"Holy Christmas cookies, would you lookit that thing!" Rogue offers upon seeing the ring, and only then does she look between Scott and Warren, shaking her head some. "Ain't like I can change much about me, so no ones gotta worry about that..." Her attention goes back to the ring itself and she looks at Scott, catching those ruby-tinted glasses. "I think she'll love it. She's a lucky woman, Summers..." Course, then there's the whole Rogue and Romance complex she suffers a bit, but she still wears a smile even as she settles back in her seat again.
Archangel has posed:
Warren was silent, waiting for Scott and Rogue to speak their mind. He leaned forward to see the quaint little ring that he had selected. Being Warren, he had to begin his thoughts by chiding Scott. "Firstly, Jean Grey is not your girl, she is not my girl, and she is not anyone's girl. She is her own woman. She has always been her own woman, and she will always be her own woman. You should remember that when you ask her to marry you. I'm confident that she will say yes." There really was no accounting for taste.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers smiles at Rogue. "Shoot...Rogue I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked you, that was terribly insensitive of me. But thanks for the compliment on it." It's Warren who gets that raised eyebrow. "First thing Warren she is my girl as much as I am her man. Yes she is and always has been her own woman but we are a couple, making her mine and me hers. So my friend think these things through before thinking to correct me. But thank you I know she will too."
Rogue has posed:
"Warren's over here tryin' to be a spoil sport.." Rogue jokes and shifts so she can gently pop the man in the shoulder. She's gloved, so it's okay! Then she looks back at Scott and shakes her head. "Don't worry about it, Scott. I'm happy that you thought of me to give ya an opinion. Besides...I've been workin' on some things with Hank and a few others. Might be I could live a somewhat normal life - or as normal a life as a mutant can have - in the near future." She's all smiles then. "When you goin' to ask her?"
Archangel has posed:
Warren didn't flinch at Scott's attempted rebuttal, but he did wince and shift a bit at Rogue's playful popping of his shoulder. It made him smile too. "Might I suggest after a hike in the Breakstone Mountains. I believe there's a gazebo with some stunningly romantic views. It may serve as an ideal locale." So Warren can be a nice guy too.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers smiles and leans back. "Truthfully I hadn't figured out when." He says getting up and grabbing three glasses and the bottle of wine. "Maybe in the next day or two. I've had the ring custom made and delivered to me, took months of planning and action. Now it's hear I'm a little nervous." Scott says with a laugh. "Thanks Warren that does sound quite nice." He pours and hand his guests a glass first before sipping his own and sitting.
Rogue has posed:
"Should actually pretend you're going out on a mission of sorts, or doing some recon. Take the X-Wing. Then land somewhere special to the two of you..." Rogue offers this much and then reaches for the wine with a smile still. "Thanks Summers." Then she takes a sip of the wine and goes a bit silent, pulling her cell phone from her pocket to likely check on some messages or something.
Archangel has posed:
Warren nodded to Scott, and accepted the wine. He had chosen it. It was a good vintage. Though he let it breathe a bit before sampling it. He moved the glass just so, letting it move this way and that, so he could get a good look at it. He inhaled the aroma. And then, after another pause, he took a quiet little sip. "That does have the right ring to it, Rogue. She would never suspect our Scott to abuse X-Men equipment so."
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers chuckles and nods a bit. "Some place special to us. Where we had our first date of course!" He says thinking a moment. "Yes the X-wing that could work indeed a mock training thing." He leans back stretching out. "Truly thank you both."
Rogue has posed:
Rogue drains her glass of wine and then sets the glass itself on the table in front of her. "I should probably get back to the school. Make sure no one is burnin' it down. Can't leave anyone alone there for too long..." She jokes and then stands but she looks to Warren. "You gonna stick around or would you prefer to escort a lady home?"
Archangel has posed:
For a brief moment, Warren thought about turning his wit on Rogue. But he knew that he would not fare well in such an assault, for her charm was positively lethal. Looking at her, he took another sip of his wine, but did not finish it. He set it down on a coaster, and rose to his feet, "I'd love to." Then to Scott, he turned and said, "it sounds like you have a winning combination. Good luck with Jean." And he offered his suit covered elbow to Rogue, like a gentleman.
Cyclops has posed:
Scott Summers stands up walking the two to the dar. "Thanks for coming by, I'll see you soon." He says with a smile. "Have a good evening."
