When Harry met Sally.. oops, Sarah
Date of Scene: 04 March 2023
Location: McAnally's Pub
Synopsis: A quick met up at McAnally's.
Cast of Characters: Harry Dresden, Sarah Connor

Harry Dresden has posed:
The way people interact with the over grown guy at the bar, they are familiar with him. He hasn't been seen for a while though, regulars and staff alike speak to him in passing. Friendly enough, but he seems more interested in his sandwich and drink than people. Easing out of the long duster, he sets it on the stool next to him and rests one arm on the bar, the other raising his drink to a draw.
Sarah Connor has posed:
Sarah had found herself taking the extra shifts lately - what with John almost done highschool, and using the last few months to blow off some steam. As a grown man he really didn't need his mom, though he still needed her protection. It was an unusual position to say the least.

Walking into the bar, she nodded at the occasional patron as she headed up to the bartender. "I've come for my cash."

Sarah did not work for cheques. Most often the bar owners were grateful. Without proof of employment there were numerous this they didn't have to do. Some were to the benefit of them both. Some not so much.

McAnally was a good fellow, though.

Looking around at the bar while he counted out her pay, she hones in on Harry, who she hasn't seen before.
Harry Dresden has posed:
For the moment people leave him to his own devices. Time for a sandwich. For a tall skinny guy, he can eat. One empty plate makes it appear as though he's had one already. While he isn't some caveman about it, but he scarfs it down. Midbite he pauses and raises a brow. He doesn't move his gaze, instead he goes back to eating.
Sarah Connor has posed:
Weird. But then again, at McAnally they tended to have weird customers. And better still, Mac would not appreciate people coming in here and blowing anything up - after all this place tended to be used by mages. In fact Sarah kind of felt safe (of as safe as she got, which really wasn't safe at all) against terminators here.

F.B.I. agents? Enhhh.. that was a different type of problem. They might not try anything here, but later? Certainly.

"Give me some fries while I'm waiting?"
Harry Dresden has posed:
Nobody confronts, he gets to eat. The sandwich is finished off and he finally speaks,"Two to go Mac. Add a six pack of the best to the tab." A deep, content breath and he exhales softly. Mac grunts his response and the bartender mentions the patron's name, Dresden. Everyone is friendly enough, just still wary.
Sarah Connor has posed:
Dresden.. Dresden.. ah! That does it.

Turning a little bit, where she can still see the corners of the bar, or the mirrors around the bar for the waitresses to use, she speaks quietly, "So you're the infamous Dresden? Apparently, if you come here very often, you might get to know me."
Harry Dresden has posed:
He finishes off the last of his drink and sets the mug aside. He turns his attention towards the woman who calls him by name and gives her a once over same as she did him earlier. Finally he nods his head a little,"That's right. I'm Dresden. You must be a fairly recent addition." He leans on the bar, not looking her in the eyes either, but just past so he provides the illusion of looking without actually engaging her gaze that way.
Sarah Connor has posed:
Definitely NOT a terminator. And probably not an FBI agent either. The way he did not keep her eyes focused on her was the biggie. And quite frankly, she did not care if he could not, or would not engage with his eyes. It was a bit weird, but so far she had seen bigger idiosyncrasies. That one she could deal with.

"Well, seeing as I know of you, but haven't met you, you'd be right. I'm the girl who comes over on Sunday nights, and Monday afternoons."
Harry Dresden has posed:
One of the staff comes by to collect his plates and wipe off the counter. He nods to them and then looks back her direction,"Well then. I know every other name in the bar, you have my name, would you like to share with me?" He mutters thanks as the food and brews arrive. He places a few folded bills on the bar,"I mean, curiosity is dangerous, but you've piqued mine."
Sarah Connor has posed:
"Curiosity killed the cat. But in this case, the name is Sarah."

Just Sarah. No more, no less.

A plate of fries came out of the kitchen, and sat upon the table. As well Mac had her pay in a brown envelope. "There you go, Sarah. Can I have you extra this week? Friday is looking pretty harried, I could use you then?"

Taking up her envelope, she considers. "Maybe? It would be better in the middle of the week. I could change shifts with someone?"

He nods. "Let me see what I can do." And walks away.
Harry Dresden has posed:
"Sarah then." he agrees and turns back to his stack of goodies to start arranging them for the trip across the road. He doesn't put himself into the conversation between employer and employee. One of the customers talks to him again for a moment before leaving. He lays some extra money on the counter along with the money for the food and drink.
Sarah Connor has posed:
Sarah lifted a brow, as she paid for the fries, and didn't eat anything. Which was usual for her. Eating and drinking were just something she brought out to complete her costume. "Nice to see you, Dresden. You should try the apple pie. I've been told it's out of the world."
Harry Dresden has posed:
He glances back towards her and nods,"See you around Sarah. That sounds like a good idea." Giving her last words a consideration, he opts to order two pieces of pie to go as well. Sure he'll be a few more minutes, but pie is pie after all. A few more bills touch the counter and he requests a bag.
