Tinyplot: Unstoppable

Shredder has posed:
The alien invaders had slowed down. Something had thrown a wrench in some of their plans. The public didn't know why, but it was hardly unwelcome to find that the Utroms had not attacked in a few months. It seemed that someone had deterred them.

Today, that comfort is shattered. Queens Zoo called 911. Something was bursting through the ground of the bison habitat. A massive drill-shaped structure spirals outward, flinging mud and scraps of concrete from below. It opens up as it reaches to a height of about twenty feet. The animals are frightened, the bison fleeing in a herd to the far side of their space, having nowhere to really escape to in the sight of the strange invasion to their home.
Blackout has posed:
Just another lackadaisical day for Blackout in his normal human guise. Instead of sitting around all day watching Netflix or whatever streaming service, he decided to go to the Zoo. He's not been to a zoo in decades. So why not.

Having gotten his cotton candy and drink, he walked through the various exhibits. He is wearing his regular sneakers, jeans, pull over t-shirt and a darkforce jacket. Then he started to notice a disturbance toward the plains exhibit(s). Instead of running away, like any smart person, his curiosity called to him to investigate. So he begins walking toward that area, nomming on cotton candy and taking sips of his overpriced Sprite.
Shredder has posed:
The large pillar unfolds, and plants feet as walls of the monstrosity become floors, and several rock soldiers disperse. They don't care who is present. Children, adults, it doesn't matter. Plasma rifles erupt onto the walkways, sending people running for their lives. One motions for others to advance, they are establishing a perimeter as the vehicle takes more deliberate new shape.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout's eyes widen and his mouth becomes agape as he peers at the arrival of the soldiers and the plasma rifles. He mutters to himself, "What the ever living crap?!". Instinctively he ducks down while dropping the cup and cotton candy. His body then becomes covered in darkforce armor as a protective manner. He looks around at the various persons fleeing. He's no hero. Never was. But he knows that he needs to do something to help. Stupid ethics.

He has found himself poised behind a wooden trinket booth. He takes a second to pop his darkforce covered head to peer at enemy targets. Then back down to consider what he's going to do next.
Shredder has posed:
A figure exits the unfolding vehicle as a door forms behind...him? It? Previously unseen, the character stands nine feet in height, a grotesque approximation to a human, electronicly charged armor surrounding it. It seems that Blackout went unnoticed, as they stay at the ready once the area seems to be cleared.

The unfolding continues to form a multi-room structure, the exterior walls raising to close off the interior even as some other smaller figures in robotic suits move about. Slimy and round they work at the controls as they disappear behind the armored presence.

"Begin gathering specimens," the tall being commands, pointing at the bison huddled together in the corner of their habitat.
Blackout has posed:
He asks himself again, "What the ever living crap?!" with the tagline ... "...am I doing here?" Then he tries to mentally recount the number of hostiles, their previous location and how many plasma weapons they had. And the range/distance from his current position.

Blackout isn't a face-to-face fighter. He relies on stealth and subversion and darkness. He pops up again and projects his darkforce 'darkness' attack to engulf the 100x100x100 yard area upon the big leader guy. If he's within the 100 yard range, he too will be engulfed. Then he steps off to his right, ducking down trying to remain under cover.
Shredder has posed:
And just like that, the entire group disappears into the darkness. The voice from within shouts out. "What is this?" roars the speaker of the gravelly voice. "Why is it dark?" There's shuffling about, but most of them do not move significantly. After all, they can't see to move. For the moment, it looks as if Blackout has bought a little time.

Regarding their numbers, it seems that there are eight of the rocky soldiers, each carrying a plasma weapon, the closest of which was about 20 feet away from him.
Blackout has posed:
Seeing that the enemy is a lot closer than he initially estimated, Blackout will make it a point to avoid that one. Instead, he'll open a portal in front of him utilizing the line-of-sight to gauge where he wants to land. 20 yards behind/left flanking the 'leader' of the alien invaders. There he will duck down and remain as quiet/silent as possible.

He readies his next attack. Which will be to entangle the enemy. He'll wait the opportunity (IE: Wait his turn).
Shredder has posed:
Inside the bubble, the large robot-encased figure growls, and barks more commands. "Spread out, see how far this goes! Activate the dampener!"

"We can't activate it! We can't see the controls!" comes the response. Apparently the dampeners aren't on all the time.

Meanwhile, a few of the rock soldiers emerge from the bubble, finding themselves looking behind them to see the massive bubble.

"It's some kind of sphere of darkness, I made it out!" comes the report back to the leader.
Blackout has posed:
He keeps his thoughts to himself, but Blackout is asking himself . o (What the heck are these things? Yeah. I know; aliens or something politically incorrect. But - nope.). He focuses on the leader - as Blackout can see within his 'blackout/darkness'. And he projects his entangling attack. There's a subtle hiss of noise as the entangling projection lashes out toward the creature. If the entangle hits, the creature and the robotic shell around it, will be engulfed within a encasing block of darkforce. The entangle can resist several hundred tons of force and damage. So he hopes to himself that the creature/robot won't be able to escape the blocked binding.

He watches as the aliens spread out and others trying to activate a device. A damper. He'd be screwed if it works on his power. He looks for whatever they're trying to activate. He needs to destroy that.

If Blackout can assess and target whatever they're talking about, he needs to blast it. If so; He'll focus his darkforce and release the blast with the hopes of destroying the device.
Shredder has posed:
"I'm under attack!" the leader rages. There is the sound of struggle, though it does appear that Blackout's entanglement is stronger than the robotic figure. "Get those dampeners online NOW!" The rock soldier outside encircles, looking for a way to engage what he can't see. Inside, the other soldiers raise their weapons, though they can't see either, they generally point in the direction of the hissing sound.

The leader isn't about to take this without a fight. There is a crackle, and a pulse of electricity shoots out from the suit, a defensive move to try to strike back against the attacker.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout knows to move. His darkness protects him from being seen - in most cases. But he also knows that there are ways to target him. So he steps through another portal to the exact opposite side of his current position within the darkness. Closer to the aliens that are scrambling to trigger the device (within 20 yards). And he'll blast both with a darkforce cone attack. It's a concussive force attack that can blow holes in concrete, level brick houses. Perhaps doing 5 tons of force damage.
Shredder has posed:
As Blackout teleports into the building, the view of the other aliens is clearer. They are inside small leg-born bubbles, scrambling for the controls. As the cone strikes, one of the two takes a glancing blow while the other takes a full force strike, cracking, though not shattering, the bubble that holds him.

He hits a button on his control, an emergency button of some sort, and the air starts to pump from the vents. Under normal circumstances, it'd have a red haze to it, a red haze that has become synonomous with these alien invaders and their terraforming attacks. The air is about to become toxic to Blackout and breathable to them inside the building.

Outside, one of the rock soldiers has managed to find his way to his leader, and he pounds on the outside a few times futily with the butt of the rifle. Seeing that it's ineffective, he turns it around and starts firing the insanely hot plasma blasts up against it to try to melt it away.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout is well aware of the red haze and he decides that sticking around is a bad idea. He leaves the way he came. Back out to the habitat. He'll step and crouch. He takes note of the other soldier attacking his entangle of the chief. He smiles and as he sees that the soldier is shooting the entangle, he'll withdraw it. Pulling the darkforce off the leader. So that the soldier will be shooting the leader.
Shredder has posed:
"Enough of this!" the leader declares, "Get me-" And then the entangle is removed. The next shot strikes his armored chest, knocking him backward onto the ground. The soldier senses something has happened and stops. "Lord Ch'rell! Are you all right?" There is no answer, but instead Ch'rell stands back up and his suit launches into the air, seeking to get clear of whatever is happening to get vision again, only now he has a good bit of damage to his suit from the direct hit.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout will target the rising suit with another entangle attack and he'll blast releasing a cocooning type of entangle. Something to wrap the robot/alien in tight bindings - and to let him come crashing to the ground if he hits.

Blackout then moves a few steps to his left and crouches down to watch the attack unfold while he thinks to himself, . o (When are the heroes going to get here. Where are those slackers?)
Shredder has posed:
This time Ch'rell isn't so easily entangled and as he breaks through the field, looking down at the darkforce. He veers to this side this time, calling out to his allies. "It's Darkforce!" he declares. "Call Krang, we will need Lightforce simulation to hold this base." But Ch'rell isn't done, not yet. The suit suddenly opens up, a myriad of barrels exposing to the air. A click, and a dozen tiny little warheads spray forth like mosquitoes, whistling toward the ground in a spread to get rid of their unwelcome inhibitor.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout can see the impending missiles and he realizes that he's in a very bad position. Opening a portal into the Darkforce Dimension, he falls back into the safety of the darkness and immediately closes the portal. There he will wait for a count of 10 before his next move. All the while he waits, he mutters to himself about really needing heroes to show up and fight these Squidbillies. It's a zoo. Surely everybody and their elephant has called 911. Blackout also decides that he needs to continue harassing the monsters until they become frustrated and leave.
Shredder has posed:
Ch'rell has gotten plenty upset. He's done with this. "Where IS THE LIGHT FORCE!?" he shrieks into his comms. Everyone in his team is fairly helpless still, unable to turn on the dampeners because they can't see the controls. Then it comes, an incoming speck from the sky, descending toward the battlefield. Two hundred feet in the air, a sudden bright pulse of light comes, bathing the darkness and washing it away. The rock soldiers move quickly, reforming their perimeter while the still standing alien within activates the dampening field, preventing any further tampering from anyone standing inside the field.
Blackout has posed:
Blackout thought he was safe on the outskirts of the darkness field. Instead, the lightforce attack causes a sudden brightness that he wasn't ready for. He squints behind his mask and mutters to himself, 'fuck this noise'. And will egress the same way he just entered, via dimensional portal. He'll port away and be done with those creeps. Still, he does have some regret and concern that lingers within his gut regarding the bison and the fleeing bystanders. But he's out like Mandela.
