Troublemakers in Mutant Town!
Date of Scene:	21 March 2023
Location:	Bushwick (Mutant Town), Brooklyn
Synopsis:	Rouge straighnes out a few College students, and Bruce finds a fan!

Spider-Man has posed:
It was a standard day at the Mutant town the poor keeping themselves warm by standing next to metal trash cans with fire inside. Others passing by ignoring them, but this time there seems to be a group of five well dressed normal humans. They were colors from NYU and all look well built as they are some sort of sports team. one of them kicks a can, the one in the lead talking to the others "I thought there was supposed to be freaks around here somewhere, all I see is boring people!" he says out loud the others behind him just being yes men agreeing. Thankfully Spidey is close by on the side of a tall building crouched on the side just hanging there sideways looking down on the town itself.

He doesn't see the trouble makers yet, but mutant town is inside his patrol area, and he was keeping an eye out for trouble. He wears his Spider-man outfit his clothes hidden on the other side of the building webbed up so it was out of the way. Thankfully he was there for when the comotion started, but was far enough away to just hear it.

Said commotion starts, as the lead college student bumps into some random guy. The poor guy's skin is reptillian, and so he was forced here, but with a snear the student that bumped into him looks at the other person, and adds.. "Oh look we got one!" grabbing the poor lizard skinned guy by the arm as he tries to run away.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue usually spends her time in Mutant Town helping out, having dinner, or just walking around to get some fresh air. Course that also means she's keeping an ear and an eye out for trouble, cause somehow even when they give themselves their own space, trouble still comes looking for them.

Course, one wouldn't really pin Rogue to be a 'freak' unless they took into account the one streak of white in her otherwise auburn hair. She wears her full body suit, yellow gloves, but she's also wearing shorts and a tee shirt over that so it doesn't quite stand out on first glance.

It's not the first remark that gains her attention, but the second remark and the one kid grabbing the arm of the other person. She sort of casually walks up and gives the group a little smirk. "Y'all ought ta have some manners. It ain't nice just walkin' up to someone and grabbin' by the arm for no reason... if I were you.. I'd let him go. 'Fore ya rustle up trouble ya can't handle..."

Spider-Man has posed:
The men look over at Rogue she can see the disqust in their faces, the hate as the lead person holds onto the arm of the poor mutant. Said mutant is currently trying to pull away from the grip though they are not super-strong, or agile, just lizard skin as some did not roll that well with nature. The lizard skinned one says, "Ouch! Let go.. your hurting me." the voice soft not panicked yet as he is ignored the group looking at Rogue. They didn't see Spidey-swing over, and flip through the air to quietly drop from the sky behind them crouching as he lands to soak the sound of the landing itself. The leader keeps talking as Spidey stands back up behind them the mask looks serious as he is not happy with them either. "Go away lady... he says harshly as he assumed she was a mutant too though only because she was here defending one of them not because they knew or reconised her.

The others are still smiling behind him going "Yea!" and "Get Lost!" to Rouge thinking if there were more of them they could bully the small lady away. By this time while still no-one noticed him Spidey mocked the man in a fake imitation a small smile appearing on his mask though he watches them all closely.

No-one has moved away or towards Rogue, and she is just a few feet away, then about as far on the other side is Spider-man. Right now it looks like it no-one has weapons, and other then a very good hold the college students have not hurt the captured man yet.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue rolls her eyes and then looks around, reaching out to a trash can to wiggle it around - perhaps just to buy time. Perhaps testing it's weight. Not that weight matters to her, she could pick up a car and toss it a good ways without breaking a sweat. This is more trying to gauge what she might could use as weapons should it come down to that.

"So. What is this? Hazing for a fraternity? Come down to Mutant Town and pick on the freaks, we'll sign ya up... Or maybe yer britches are a little tight around the edges cause ya gotta wear them skinny jeans to show off yer...small packages." She says this, and then takes a step forward. "I'm gonna give ya one more chance ta let go of him and be on your merry way before y'all end up embarassin' yerselves..."

She does shift her glance, looking past the group, and spies Spider-Man but other than that very brief glance she's looking at the guy holding the mutant by the arm. A bored look on her face as she crosses arms over her chest and then gives him an up-nod. "So, what's it gonna be sugah? You gonna leave quietly, or do I gotta make a mess'a things like I'm eatin' gramma's fried chicken?"

Hulk has posed:
Is it possible for Bruce /not/ to run into trouble?

He was just minding his own business, just trying to go on his own walk, do his own thing. He had been out trying to go to the store to get some groceries. He wasn't exactly /liquid/ and couldn't afford something like DoorDash. So, he's looking for a good market. Though, imagine his surprise When he comes across...a difficult situation.

"I /had/ to take the Bushwick route..."

He frowns. He had a plan to give medicine to some of the homeless on the street on the way. But instead, he comes across Rogue apparently engaging in some ....diplomacy with a group of ne'er do wells. He gulps for a moment, and for right now, keeps his distance.

But we all know how long that's gonna work out.

Spider-Man has posed:
The trash can is metal so solid, good wieght nothing Rogue can't lift, and bonus, half full of trash. The college boy is all laughs, and jokes not taking her seriously till the end. His eye's large out of joy from their exploits narrow as he looks at Rogue again though the calculation going through his mind. He had been training to fight, and his boys were relativly good in a brawl, but it was mutant town so it took him a moment of him standing in silence before a cold smile crossed his face.5r5rThe college student pushed the lizard skin person down letting go as he points a finger at him. 'don't you move."

He turns to look back at Rogue "You should keep out of this.. We are not someone you want to mess with." he points to one of the sides, "Walk away lady... you don't want any problem with the police mutant.". Again he doesn't know this for sure, but she is here so is just assuming maybe to see her reaction.

The people behind him are looking at the mutant so as he is webbed and yanked away to be caught by Spidey. Now the lizard skinned man is held pricess style by Spidey as he is smiled at "Good choice.." he says about releasing the mutant, "Though try not to hurt them too bad." he says with a chuckle. Though he was looking at the students he was talking to Rogue. He would help her if she wanted, but she stood, and talked like someone who should not be messed with, and spidey was better at the math then some random college student, and the math told him those college kids were way outclassed.

The students looked shocked, and the apperance of Spider-man at that point was a large buzz-kill for the five because they knew him. Some of them even had The steam quickly falling out of most of them, but the leader speaks up again. "Buzz off Spider-man..." then stops as they don't see the other man keeping this distance.

Holding up his hands Spidey smiles, "Oh I wasn't going to do a thing." he points at the lady they been yelling at. "She looks angry enough to handle it herself.. Believe me you wouldn't like her when she is angry." and chuckles a bit taking a step back. "I am just here to make sure you don't get hurt too bad."

This reasures the group, as they turn to look at Rogue again, not sure what to do at this point as the group is waiting for the leader, and the leader is glaring at Rogue.

Rogue has posed:
"Oh I ain't gonna hurt 'em too bad. Just enough ta make 'em scareder than a long tailed cat inna room full'a rockin' chairs." That Mississippi accent hard to miss as Rogue speaks. Add on that Southern Belle charm and - well - it isn't just her powers that one needs to be worried about.

Course, it's not her true power she's going to be using, cause that's a recipe for diaster and not in a good way. "You fellas all look like you play football, here... catch this!" And she quickly picks up the trash can like it's just a piece of paper and lunges it at the group of college trouble makers. "You should'a ran away while ya had the chance, cause now ya got me real mad...and all I wanted was a nice walk around the town."

Hulk has posed:
'You wouldn't like her when she's angry.'

Yeaaahhh....that's something.

Bruce finally decides to speak up. He wore dark pants, a white, beat-up dress shirt, and a beat up yankees cap on top of his head as he approached the group more directly. "Ahem."

Banner was a well-known figure. Except sadly, he's a bit more infamous than famous. "Is there any chance we can end this without a fight?"

Of course, before he can even get an answer, Rogue is getting busy kicking ass and taking their names as payment for their transgressions. College kids....geez, when are they ever gonna learn?

Meantime though, Bruce looks up at Spider-Man He's about to say something when all hell breaks loose, and - because he doesn't want to turn Green, he ducks for cover!

"It's still a pleasant night for walks!"

Spider-Man has posed:
As the leader is thinking of a response as a trash can whips by him and hits two of the people knocking them down. He looks back, and looks back at her with shock, and does the only thing he can think of and runs at her. The other two are just confused, and see the leader of thier little group running at the lady. Other then follow they start to help up the other two before they are webbed so their efforts are in vain. Spidey waves a finger, "Ah ah ah! They are out." and chuckles a bit.

They were hurt, but not too bad as spidey smiles at the other two waiting to see what they do, but they bolt as soon as this happends to which Spidey adds, "Another good choice, they must do well in school!" and grins looking back at how the last one will do. Spidey saw that the lady used nothing to pick up something that would be hard for even on of the students to do so doubted she was in any danger just hoped the restriction held in close combat.

Looking around though he spots a creeping Banner, and has to stop.. Was that Dr. Banner? Though has to stop as the man steps up. With a smile as the man runs over at Rogue he waves his hands at the Doctor. "Eerything is fine here. They are just playing around" he explains quickly trying to keep the man calm. "While you are here." he reaches into his suit pulling out a blank pad, and a marker. "Can't believe I got to run into the awesome Dr. Banner! Could you make it out to.. a close friend?" he asked excitely!

Rogue has posed:
Rogue sighs, giving a roll of her eyes as she catches the 'leader' by the collar of his shirt and then takes off into the skies. "Ya know. Ya really oughta learn some manners. Like keepin' yer hands to yerself? Not pickin' on the little guy? Maybe stop while yer still ahead?" She's got him about five feet from the ground, so dropping him wouldn't -kill- him, but it would surely hurt like hell.

Maybe break a bone.

"Now. Say yer sorry and that yer gonna go straight home and I'll set ya down all nice like. Pop off again and I'll drop ya. From right here."

Hulk has posed:
Well....that looks like it's getting more intense as time goes on! Though as the college kids seem to bolt, Bruce seems to slowly emerge from his hiding place. "Well...uh, that looks like it was ended quickly." Bruce clears his throat, brushing himself off because he *dove* for cover.

He doesn't want to look worse than he already does.

More surprising though is someone spotting him! Bruce seems on his guard as the man approaches him, he has his hands up, ready to throw a punch in self defense. "I don't know if /playing around/ is the best way to describe what just happened." Bruce answers honestly, but more strangely, there's a blank pad being pulled out and Bruce looks...

Surprised.

"Uh....sure. What's the name?" Bruce pulls a pen from his pocket, and he starts to jot down.

"Also...she's really strong." He points at Rogue.

Spider-Man has posed:
As Rogue is flinging the man up into the air, and Spidey is fawning over meeting Dr. Banner then hears the yells of protest to look over at the now flying Rogue, and the student just kicking in the air. "See it is all under control." he says to Banner with a nevious chuckle. He figured if Rogue dropped him he could web the guy... maybe though is sure someone has to be rethinking their life choices. Speaking of which the leader after realizing that he was no longer on the ground. "Alright! Alright! I will leave... I am... sorry?" he says though Rogue knows he isn't really just saying what she told him say. Though it is only five feet the person in her grasp looks pale like it is way further taking the panic level that should be around five to eleven.

What Rogue didn't know is that the person was afraid of heights, and currently even though it isn't that far he is freaking out. He doesn't have a good poker face though as Rogue can tell from the color drain to the voice change. Spidey sighs and speaks up.. "Comon.. I think he learned his lesson, how bout sending him, and these two to the guards. Let them straighten it out so it is all above board?"

Spidey gets asked a name, and stops as he glanced around a bit then started. "Sorry Doc I would love to tell ya, but you know how it is... people to protect and all that!" he adds with a grin, He glances back at Rogue when Banner points out her strength "Yea. But some good control.. Took me a while to be able to throw heavy stuff in a way that didn't just shread whatever it hit." he noted as he did have spider strength, but had to control it all the time. "She is.. did you hear the angry thing?" he adds with a grin to Banner, "I guess no-one should get angry around here!"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue eyes the kid she's holding and then slowly lowers them both until their feet touch the ground. "Don't ever let it be said that I do harm when it's not necessary. Ain't my way. You just go on and get outta here. I see you and your friends around here again and it'll be a lot worse, ya hear?"

That done, and likely the kids making a get away, Rogue looks over to Spider-Man and Bruce, giving things a moment to settle before she walks over. "Sorry y'all had ta see that. I just don't take kindly ta people messin' with my own kind..." Offering this and giving a smile. "So what brings you both to Mutant Town?"

Hulk has posed:
Dr. Banner is meeting Spidey!

"I understand. You're brave though, if you know who I am. At the same time....I respect it." Bruce just titles it out to 'his biggest fan' and he hands it back to Peter. "I hope that's good enough..." He rubs the back of his neck. "Sorry, I uh....don't do a lot of...interaction." He's a shy guy! One of the most intelligent man alive and...severely socially inept.

Blame the Hulk.

"Yeah..." He remarks as he watches Rogue torture The poor guy. "I think he learned his lesson." He chimes almost in time with Spidey, though he chuckles, albeit somewhat nervously. "Hah...yeah, no getting angry today." He clears his throat. "I heard." He mentions. "I wasn't offended."

He smiles when Rogue lets the kid(s) get away, and he smiles at her. "Nice job. I don't think they'll be messing with you again. Honestly? I was just on my way to the store. This was my shortcut."

Spider-Man has posed:
With a smile Spidey shrugs, "No worries, but we are all the same kind." he smeils a bit "Humankind? He offers.. No? Isn't that the point?" he glances at Rogue the mask shows he is smiling as he didn't look at Mutants as non human, so tried not to put mutants on a pedistal either. He turns a little more to see the running away guy, "People like that are just troublemakers. I am sure I will see him again in a few years." he says with a sigh. One bad thing about working only in New York the kids he saved sometimes turned out to be the men he had to stop. "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man here doing my rounds. Been doing this long enough that I can tell when there is trouble.. Call it a sense" and his mask winks,

Spidey then takes a step back, "And this is Dr. Banner.. Not only an expert doctor, but also the leading brain in Gama radiation. He has put out several ground-breaking papers on its effects, and treatment." he goes on before Bruce can answer. Then he falls quiet as Bruce speaks up, and looks at his biggest fan signature. "I am going to put this right next to my Pym signature!" he says as he puts the pad of paper away. "I will say Doc you pick the wierdest shortcuts, but what can I say I am swinging everywhere!" and chuckles as turns to Rogue again. "How bout you, do you live here?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue blinks. Then blinks again. "I...I know who you two are. I'm not dumb." Offering this before she chuckles. "Not that the X-Men have had much to do with your side of things, but we are all on the same side. And I know Dr. McCoy has done some work with S.H.I.E.L.D..." Then she shrugs, and moves her shirt in a way it reveals the circled X on her upper right chest to prove she's an X-Men.

"I guess y'all don't know me. Which is fair, cause I'm usually a recluse. M'names Rogue. No, obviously not my real name and no, you can't have my real name. Anyway. If you've got places to be, I won't stop ya."

Hulk has posed:
"I think sh-"

Bruce stays quiet. Bruce has seen Rogue around before, even if they've never really talked. "...and occasional, part-time teacher." Which could be a good hint to Rogue if she's spent time at the Institute lately. He's taught physics occasionally at the Institute when they've been low on teachers and recently accepted the job from Jean Grey again. But he clears his throat. "It's nice to meet you, Rogue."

He turns his eyes towards Spidey, a msile on his face when he seems to take joy in the autograph, being willing to put it next to Hank Pym. "...you know Dr. Pym?"

Spider-Man has posed:
Spidely looks at Rogue, "Well Rogue remind me never to piss you off!" and smiles at her. He looks at both of them, "Wow both of you are super hooked up! Shield, X-men, and Avengers.. Sometimes I am glad just to be neigborhoodly!" he chuckles a bit, and looks back at Bruce, and shakes his hand carefully. "Well... no.. But I have his signiture." he adds as he didn't litterally know the man. "If you know of him, of course he is another fundemental genius in science! I have all his books too." as Spidey had long ago read the works of Doctor Banner.

He shows Bruce his web-slinger lifting up a small hatch that shows the liquid state. "You actually helped me invent this... It solidifies in webs, and can hold tons.. for a little bit." he notes. "Also, in an hour it biodegrades." though he would let Bruce look at it he would move it away as he didn't want the capsule inside removed. With a smile the Spider-man talks fast, as he rarely got to show off to someone smarter then him.

He looks to want to talk more then stops putting a finger to the side of his mask where his ear is, "But I guess not today.." he sighs. "I am sorry Dr. Banner would love to talk, but buisness calls!" he shoots a web and it arcs away to hook to one of the buildings in the distance. "And Rogue, if ya ever need help here in New York, just yell help me Spidey! That is what everyone else does, and I usually swing in." and he gives her a wave too.

Pulling on the wire you can see his strength as the thin web that can hold tons is pulled taught for a moment before Spidey jumps, and is yanked away into a long swing that whisks him away. His athletics allow for him to hold on while turned waving at the two!.
