Cast of Characters: Rogue, Wolverine

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has been gone for at least a day. Getting into a fight in Mutant Town with Spider-Man and the Hulk as potential backup can make things...complicated. Not to mention there was a whole side of herself she hadn't quite grasped yet that tried to show it's colors before a more even headed voice stopped her.

Now Rogue is home. But she hasn't quite made it inside the building just yet. Instead, she's out in the backyard, camped up in her tree, able to keep herself balanced because she can mostly float while also sit comfortably.

She wears her full body suit, gloves, shorts and a tee shirt that reads 'Fueled by Sweet Tea' and she's currently smoking a cigarette - but the ground is littered by the several she's already smoked and will likely clean up once she's good and ready to come down from her perch.

Which may not be any time soon.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan is outside now, and he's stringing up a bow. Ocean blue eyes look up toward a familiar tree holding a equally familiar face. Those ocean blue eyes stay on her for a moment. "Hey slugger. How's the other guy?" Logan says with both teasing and praising the woman.

People talk, whether they're normal and mutant. Various bits, details and other aspects to the story made it out. Logan figures the truth is somewhere in the mess of different things that go to his ears. He's just going to ask the source. . .when she's ready to talk.

"You okay?" he asks her seriously. It's less about the physical damage, but sometimes fights can rattle people. Even if the other side -really- deserve it.
Rogue has posed:
"Scared shitless. Likely won't be walkin' through Mutant Town again for a while. Least not to cause shit." Rogue answers, taking another drag off her current cigarette. At that last question she glances down towards Logan and then shrugs her shoulders.

"I don't know...to be honest. I...there was a moment. However brief. I picked the kid up, I held him up in the air... I just meant ta scare 'im. But I briefly thought...it'd be fun ta just drop him..." She wraps her arms around herself after admitting that, burying her head into her arms. "Am I a bad person?"
Wolverine has posed:
Logan stops working on the bow. If she wasn't already smoking, Logan would tell Rogue to light up. "That's the thing 'bout power n' skills n' when ya got a clear edge the other doesn't. . .Yer gonna have a moment where yer tempted. Even the best of us, will have a moment. It's what we do in that moment that shows a person's character," he looks to Rogue for a moment.

Shaking his head because Logan knows he sounds a little like Scott Summers right now. "It's what ya do in that moment that can make ya. Truly make ya. Despite temptation', ya didn't. I hink good people are the ones that get scared. Knowin' what they -could- do," Logan looks at her and she can see a weight in those eyes. Something to tell Rogue that this conversation isn't enitrely about her, either.

"Ya just gotta remember to walk away, n' it'll get easier wit' time. Here n' there, yer gonna have a time where yer really tempted. May not happen too foten, but ya just gotta cling to whatever ya did, tonight." And he looks dow for a moment picking his words carefully.

"I can tell ya, yer a good person. People will think I'm biased, but I don't need to do that. Yer actions tell ya yer a good person, because ya put the kid down. N' now yer here, scared over what -mighta- happened. Bad people would be ones not too bothered by lawn dartin' the kid," he says trying to give her some tangiable comparison.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks up and then rests her chin on her shoulder so she can look down at Logan for a moment before taking another drag off that cigarette. "Least no one got hurt. Nothin' 'cept pride. Well the kids I threw the trash can at might have some bruises, but I didn't throw it hard. Just wanted to scare them." She offers that much more.

Course everything Logan said made sense, even if a part of it did make him sound like Scott a little. Sometimes Scott actually says things that make sense and have weight. Just not always. Rogue takes a breath and then shifts to sit sideways on the branch so her legs dangle over. "Just really pisses me off that even now people still think givin' mutants a hard time is funny. And ta actually go to the one place we feel safe. We made for ourselves so we wouldn't bother no one and no one would bother us. It's dumb."

Then she smiles down at Logan and uses a foot to nudge his shoulder. "Thanks, sugah. I feel a little better now."
Wolverine has posed:
"Well, that's 'cause it means somethin' to us. They just ferget if we showed up at any place they felt comfy and trashed the placed, they'd be this scared too. Cause it means somethin' to them. Best isn't to ignore it, but make the place bettr," he looks at her. "Go into mutant town more. Show em' yer not afraid even if ya are deep down," Logan is trying to help for a moment. The nudge comes and he smirks. "That means I can charge as much as Hank or Jean," he grins up at Rogue.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue finally slips off the branch to land gently on her feet and begins to pick up all the cigarette butts she's dropped to toss them into the garbage can a step away. Once she's done, she tilts her head at Logan and gives him a sort of doe-eyed look, those emerald greens shimmering a bit. "Ya mean ta tell me ya'd charge me fer the advice ya give, love?"
Wolverine has posed:
Logan just shakes his head at her question. He doesn't answer the question. Moving with heer, not caring where they go. "How are ya feeling now?" he gives the woman a smirk. Those ocean blues looka t her. "Do ya need to go somewhere n' punch somethin' deservin' or need somethin' sweet to eat?" he says offering two forms of outlets for her.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue seems to think on the options for a moment and then gives a shrug. "I think I've had enough violence fer one night. So maybe something sweet ta eat?" Glancing over at him even as they walk in...no real general direction just yet. "What'd ya have in mind?"
Wolverine has posed:
"I was gonna offer to get ya ice cream or take ya to it," Logan thinks "Ben and Jerry's" can be an answer to many things. Looking back to her, "I can't cook. If I try n' bake ya somethin', yer gonna add 'Fire' to yer oppenant list tonight," he admits and then looks back to her. "Unless ya want to do Coke, or pepsi, floats n' an action movie?" he offers another altnerative. These may not be the best ideas, but he's trying to create a distraction. Do something to make her feel ordinary despite facing something extraordinary. "Whatever sounds good!"
Rogue has posed:
Rogue seems to consider the options and then grins. "Pepsi floats and video games in the common room? Betcha I can take ya at Mari Kart..." It's likely the first time she's smiled all night, so that's saying something. "Or a movie. I'm beginnin' ta think video games may not be your thing. But maybe not an action flick. Comedy? I think I need a few more laughs to outweigh the craziness in my head."
Wolverine has posed:
"Do we got the one with the controller that works like a steering wheel? I'm better that way," Logan and video games have a mixed relationship. If he actually knows how to handle the video games intention, he wants it as close to the real thing as possible.

"If ya got me controlling a dude, or gal, then it depends on the egame," it's a love-hate relationship.
Rogue has posed:
"Movie. I wanna cuddle up with you, have an ice cream float, and just watch a movie with you." Rogue finally seems to settle on this and gives a rub of her cheek against Logan's shoulder. "I...might also make an appointment with Sinister. I mean I get what you said, but the other thing that screws me up is that I've killed someone before. Even if it was an accident. And to even think I would enjoy it happening again..." Emotional damage. That's Rogue in a nutshell.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan nods and then he wraps an arm around her. "I know how ya feel," Logan understands the weight of death. It's something he understands in spades. "I'd recomend it," he says knowing it's a resource that Rogue trusts. It's something she can use, lean on and be better for.

"I've killed my fill of people," he admits and looks toward her intently for a few moments. "I'll take time to move past," and then he is in the kitchen with her pulling out a pepsi. Well, a couple of them. Next the vanilla ice cream, he'll disengage from her to do this. "Yer lucky this ain't whipped cream. I'd try to swhip some at ya." A wink comes from him.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue is not going to push the subject about her seeing Nathaniel. It's in a professional capacity for therapy and that's it. She knows Logan likely doesn't like the idea, but he's letting her despite that. She appreciates it and doesn't poke that bear.

Instead she listens further to him and nods. "I mean. I've knocked people unconscious. I've permanately stolen powers. Killed a boy when I was 14. I'm racking up the points, lemme tell ya..." She smiles then, actually seeming to have weight lifting off her in spades as they talk and share. Then she peeks into the fridge herself and pulls something out. "Maybe I'll whip you instead..." Shaking the canister then with an evil glean in her eye.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan doesn't like the idea, but it's necessary evil in his mind. The task is not evil. Just the person at the end of it. However, he trusts it (for now).

Logan looks at her as she talks about past actions. Everything from knocking out a boy, stealing powers and more.

Logan sighs, "I don't know all of miine," he admits. "I've killed some people. Even now," he looks toward her, knowing she might be aware of some kills. "I killed a mob boss that poisoned a clan leader, hurt coutnless others," and then he looks back at her. "I gotta live with that," and he doesn't seem burdened by the who. More about the idea, or concept. Granted, the victim -did- kill Logan's fiance at the time. A slow and painful death, to boot. It forced Logan to put the woman out of her misery.

"There are others," he knows, but leaves it at that. This is why Logan is willing to do the hard choices. Blood is already on his hands, no need to see anyone else bath themself in crimson. He can do it, Logan's already marred by blood.

Then Rogue talks about whipping him. A smirk pulls at his lips. "Careful, I don't tak threats well," Logan teases and he sees the evil gleam as she approaches with whipped cream. A smile pulling at his face as he's curious what the southern lady would do.
