Location:	Breakstone, Westchester County
Synopsis:	A continuation of the alien pod investigation. Magneto's Genoshans are found and an avalanche threatens to bury everyone.
Cast of Characters:	Phoenix, Magneto, Copycat, Cyclops

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Once the mysterious alien pod was detected and severed of its sustenance - the very earth itself - numerous large metallic drones rose from the pod itself, surrounding the mutants and Juggernaut, and attacked without hesitation. The Xmen, Magneto and Juggernaut sprung into action, attacking, dodging, striking. Juggernaut for the most part just stood there and walked into the flying discs, catching a couple, letting others crash and explode into his massive chest. The drones drew Logan and Warpath away from the rest of the group, keeping them occupied elsewhere.\<br\>\<br\>And even as Magneto lowered the sleeping silvery slug like creatures in the pod to safety rather than simply destroy them, the drones went after him as well, attacking him with powerful laser beams and blasters - although it will probably do little against the master of magnetism.\<br\>\<br\>And while all this goes on, Jean taps her communicator to update Copycat and Cyclops of the sudden turn of events...When something strange happens, causing her to suddenly shriek in pain and shock, collapsing to her knees and clutching her head..\<br\>\<br\>Thankully Juggernaut steps in front of her, taking the brunt of the attacks aimed at her, but what just attacked her..?

Magneto has posed:\<br\>Magneto looks around at the chaos happening around him as he creates an electromagnetic barrier around him. This barrier will be enough to protect him against the even nuclear strikes. The blasts from the drones are of little threat against his shields. He watches as Juggernaut protects Jean Grey from attack, whilst Wolverine and War Path have been drawn away from the rest of the group.\<br\>\<br\>He decides that the attacks have been enough of hinderance in his search for his mutants. He decides that the best cause of action would be to render the machines useless. He focuses his powers to create an EMP blast to radiate out from him which should stop any machines in the vicinity whilst having little impact on the mutants or Juggernaut.

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Copycat Blinks as she looks over to Scott "How fast can we get there, and is there a student or mutant with a power who can get us there faster? " She asks, looking at him rather in a panic. She chews her lip, thinking quickly about what she can do. Jean was the first person to be nice to her since she came to the school and has been trying to help her adjust, so knows she's in trouble from that scream. \<br\>\<br\>     she tries to think of the kids in her class and if any of there powers would be handy right now

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>There are a lot of drones, scattered over a large area. Magneto manages to blast most of them down but others quickly take their place. Is Juggernaut really *protecting* Jean or just happens to be standing there? It's hard to say, and as more drones appear, he is drawn away like the other Xmen, vanishing briefly out of sight to tackle more drones.\<br\>\<br\>Jean grunts, climbing shakily to her feet, trying to reach Scott and his party, trying to focus with all the chaos around her..and the screaming in her head. <<Scott..Where are you..Need you..Under attack..>> she manages to gasp out as some unseen force continues to attack her mind.\<br\>\<br\>All this fighting is making the earth shake violently and a mighty roar can be heard coming from somewhere above..Is that the Yeti, returned from its hunt? The earth is shaking dangerously now, and a mighty avalanche seems imminent..

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>The scouting had taken longer than he had anticipated. Cyclops turns to look at Copy Cat. "It's not far we're nearly there." He says leading the way with one child unconscious on his back another by his side. <<Almost back...Jean...found two....kids...Wait Under attack?!?! They'd better not be....>>\<br\>\<br\>Storming through the trees and seeing these drones he let's a couple of optic blasts fly to clear his path. Spying Magneto he snarls. "I told you to stay away, this is why, I knew you had something to do with this! Take your children and leave.!" He growls as he immediately heads to Jean firing off a couple more blasts. "Trust Villains..." He grumbles. "This was a mistake."

Magneto has posed:\<br\>As the drones fall out the sky, Magneto allows him self to feel a sense of accomplishment. That feeling is quickly doused once he sees the new drones take their place. It seemed that an EMP wasn't going to be the quick solution to this problem after all. As he watches the drones continue to dash around in the air above them, he sees Juggernaut running off in the corner of his eye.\<br\>\<br\>Moments later, the mountain shakes beneath them. For a moment, he thinks that it might be caused by Cain Marko. Then he thinks that it might be the machine drilling into the earth again. He ponders that for a moment. Why was the machine drilling on the top of the mountain? It certainly wasn't the most direct route to core of the Earth, a mountain would be one of the furthest points from the centre of the Earth. Drilling into the Earth from inside a deep ocean vent would be a more optimum route. Perhaps it was something inside the mountain that the machine was after.\<br\>\<br\>These thoughts are pushed aside when Magneto hears the sounds of Cyclops' voice over the sounds of the battle.\<br\>\<br\>"I think you told me to stay away from the mansion," Magneto calls over his shoulder. "In case it failed to dawn on you, we're no where near the mansion. It was you that had decided to fail your fellow mutants in helping rescue them from up here. I'm not sure why you have come here now."

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Copycat Comes into he area helping Scott with the kids.. only go cover them as she looks around. She locks onto Magento for a moment. She Grabs a Drone and launches it towards another, trying to smash them together to get the drones near the kids .. Of course, magneto would feel that the power she used is exactly the same as his! She's trying to keep the kids safe is all .

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey grits her teeth, climbing shakily to her feet, suffering some sort of massive headache it seems. And her focus is on the alien pod, reaching a hand towards it, using her telekinesis to draw it closer to her. "Must..Stop it.."\<br\>\<br\>Whatever else is going on around them is ignored, although she stumbles shakily on her feet as the avalanche just gets worse. Between them all, the remaining drones are quickly destroyed but the avalanche is getting worse as chunks of rock and snow start to tumble down towards them..If they dont hurry and leave, they will soon all be buried!

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers shakes his head blasting a couple more drones. "No I told you, you weren't welcome at the mansion or anywhere near it or it's inhabitants! These mountains surround the Mansion are in Breakstone making it near the mansion and our back yard!" He growls out and shakes his head. "Someone needs to teach this guy Geography or cartography." Scott growls. "Take your kids and get the hell out of here, and don't come back." He says gesturing to the kids and copy cat.\<br\>\<br\>"As for failing, it is you who failed, we found our kids quickly. You lost yours, and still didn't find them I did! We did, now beat it!" He's then blasting the object Jean is pulling. "Jean my love you ok? What the hell happened, I told you that moron was involved this proves it."

Magneto has posed:\<br\>Magneto shrugs his shoulders, "The mission Genoshians, I was told of, are not children. Are you sure that these are not more children missing from your school? As far as I am concerned, we haven't found them yet. For now, I shall be staying here, regardless of whether you consider this close to the mansion or not."\<br\>\<br\>Magneto's attention is that drawn away from Scott towards the sounds of the avalanche. He watches as chunks of rocks and snow tumble down towards them all. Realising the danger the avalanche poses to everyone in the area, including the children who may or may not be Genoshians, Magneto draws on more of his power to extend the barrier around himself, Jean, the children, Copy Cat and even Cyclops. Then he thinks that Emma was here, where had she gone off to in the chaos?

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Copycat Blinks and looks to scott " Who is this guy? " She asks frowning before she does sigh feeling the barrier go about a bit in shock as he seems to protect everyone . She sstarts to move the children away from the drones adn the attacks it's clear they wanna argue and she wants to get them out of here asap so it's safter to bring them away for right now .

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey blinks at Scott, relieved to see him and she greets him with a tired smile and nod. "Yes, I am now, but we should--!" and then he blasts at the alien pod, damaging the side of it in a shower of sparks and explosions. Her eyes widen as the creatures within utter another pained shriek and in turn Jean clutches her head in pain.\<br\>\<br\>"Wait! Stop! those podlings..I think they're the source of this...Chaos, and...!" she draws a shaky breath, drawing their container out of the pod, five silvery large slug looking creatures can be seen beneath the glass casing. "The answer to everything.."\<br\>\<br\>She frowns at Magneto, "Teens moreso I think. They are not ours but they are mutants. Weren't their container parents in town looking for them? Hurry, we need to go..!" she sighs, stretching her free arm out to create a temporary shield around them all as the avalanche comes down in full force.\<br\>\<br\>"We must leave..Now!" \<br\>\<br\>Jean glances at the kids, who are really more young adults really, "Magneto, you need to claim your people, they need you. There is no more time to argue." and she will telekinetically nudge them towards him before turning to Scott, "Copycat, Cyclops..The blackbird is..Up ahead.." she gestures towards a pathway where some of the other Xmen must be waiting for them..

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers grimaces and shakes his head. "They aren't our, and right now I'm not asking you to leave I am telling you to. Your people have been located you need not be here, leave before my compassion and good graces fully fall away." He growls putting an arm around Jean. "If these pods have anything to do with it than they must be destroyed." Visored eyes turn to gaze at Copy Cat. "One of ours and the professors oldest villains, Magneto, calls himself master of magnetism. A manipulator, terrorist, and all around scum."

Magneto has posed:\<br\>Magneto shakes his head at Cyclops' words, and turns his attention to Copy Cat, "Don't listen to him. Those are the words of a narrow-minded fool. I am one of Charles Xavier's oldest friends. We have been fighting for the liberation of mutants since before that man was born. Although, we do not always see eye-to-eye.\<br\>\<br\>I am not a terrorist. I am a leader of a population of mutants. A population of mutants that live without secrecy, without fear. There, on my island, mutants are free to be themselves. Are those the actions of a villain?"\<br\>\<br\>He then stops, and looks around, at the other mutants, "If you are truly from Genosha, then it is best that we leave this mountain now. Leave the X-men to deal with their own problems of yetis and alien creatures hiding away in metal pods."\<br\>\<br\>He then begins heading away, but not before looking for a glimpse of Emma or Juggernaut. Failing to spot either of them, Magneto walks away. "Don't worry, I can lead you to safety."

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Copycat Blinks as she looks and watches the kids get pulled away " Stay safe," She says to them and frowns a bit and sighs, putting a hand on her hip. The blue-skinned girl looks ALOT like somebody Magneto knows very well, except her hair is White and her eyes are Red . \<br\>\<br\>     She looks to jean " Are you okay.. is everything done now? " She looks back, trying to figure out what's going " if so can somebody explain to me what's going on? And what is that " She points at Juggy.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey blinks at Magneto as the Genoshan kids rush to his side, one of them sobbing a bit. They have never met him personally, but the way they look at him with admiration in their eyes, it is clear they respect him, and maybe feel a bit foolish for wandering off that way. Jean smiles faintly and nods to him. "Good luck.." she murmurs, glancing specifically towards the kids with a brief look of concern in her eyes.\<br\>\<br\>"Come on, this way." she nods to Copycat, saying nothing on her thoughts of Magneto being a villain or other, and leans in against Scott as she goes, still focusing on that shield, trying to protect friend and foe alike although Mags probably needs no assistance.\<br\>\<br\>As they near the Blackbird, she slows a bit, still holding the large container that carries the five resting aliens and glances at Scott. "Threat yes but..Killing them instead of taking them prisoner? Are you sure...?"she frowns a bit, holding them out away from her in case he chooses to just blast them to smithereens. She will trust his judgement either way.

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers shakes his head back and forth. "Don't listen to his lies copy cat. He and the professor were once friends. Where the professor wanted equality and living peacefully alongside each other. Magneto is all about mutant supremacy and destroying those that are in his way. He's a fool and well he's not above harming innocent people to get his way." He's then looking back to Jean. "They probably have a connection to him." He thumbs back at Magneto. "And either way these have harmed you and probably will continue to do so." With that he starts blasting the slugs as they start to retreat.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>As Magneto takes the kids and flies away in one direction, Jean focuses on the aliens as Cyclops blasts them to smithereens. She flinches visibly, looking pained as if she felt the pain of their screams and then their death..As if she is somehow linked with them, and then she turns quickly and hurries on to the ship.\<br\>\<br\>Once they are all on the Blackbird and in the sky, only then does she lower the shield and as they fly away the full force of the avalanche comes tumbling down along the mountainside..\<br\>\<br\>A large speck of white fur can be seen as an angry Yeti shakes a fist at those who are fleeing..\<br\>\<br\>To be continued...?
