Magneto has posed:
@emit The weight of Magneto's new title hung heavy on his shoulders as he looked out over the bustling streets of New York City. He had come here in search of some Genoshans who had gone missing after coming to America. His comrades back home were growing concerned, and with his lieutenant, Mystique, also unaccounted for, he knew he must take matters into his own hands.

He had a plan, but when it fell through, he took matters into his own hands. Armed with only his wits and mutant powers, he journeyed deep into the mountains near Xavier's mansion to find the missing mutants. His search was perilous, fraught with danger at every turn. He crossed paths with Juggernaut, who reluctantly joined him on his quest.

Together they fought off extra-terrestrial entities with ferocity and skill, finally reaching their destination. The missing Genoshans had been found and reunited with their families. But there was one more piece of the puzzle missing: Mystique.

As he stood in the rocky wilderness, surveying the landscape for any sign of her, he knew that he would not rest until she was found and brought home safely.

Magneto arrived in the Bronx, a run-down area with trash-strewn streets and peeling paint on the buildings. He made his way slowly through alleyways and side streets in search of Mystique, his mind spinning fast with possibilities - maybe she was laying low here, waiting for a chance to make her next big move?
Berri Sundae has posed:
Berri had been...doing well. The advantage of being a professional criminal, a professional 'henchwoman' with a quite significant record of success? Well, she could enjoy the odd moment or two to just take a break and be between jobs for a time. Did that mean that Berri Sundae was currently up to nothing? Well...not for the moment.

Still, in the midst of the Bronx? Well, Berri certainly stood out. Between her stature, her half-half pink and brown hair and the parasol resting over her shoulder? Well, she didn't really fit the 'normal' look.

Still, the girl seemed to practically skip along as she moved through the space, headed for...well, what appeared to be a building at the end of the block.
Magneto has posed:
A young woman with multicoloured hair and carrying a parasol does stand out. However, the attention of those passing by was drawn away from her. Instead, they look towards the man dressed in a red and black outfit, complete with helmet and cape, hovering above the ground. Any mutants in area would immediately recognise Magneto. Though, their opinions of the man are certainly split. Any would be wondering, just what he is doing in the Bronx.
Berri Sundae has posed:
Mutant and criminal alike. Berri would indeed recognize Magneto. More to the point, the ambient thoughts of those around her? Well...that was enough to draw her miss-matched eyes upwards and have her tilting her head, blinking lightly. Of course, a helmet that could protect one from Xavier could certainly stop her, that in itself enough to bring a curious tilt of her head.

Just what was he doing there?
Magneto has posed:
Magneto slowly lowered himself to the ground, his eyes scanning each face as if looking for something familiar. He was searching for a woman who could take on anyone's appearance with her mutant power of shapeshifting, and he hoped she would be here.

However, what caught his eye was a young woman with two-toned hair, standing out from the crowd like a beacon. She held a parasol above her head as if it were some sign of royalty. Magneto couldn't help but feel intrigued by the sight and decided that this must be the person he needed to speak to first. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward and called out in an authoritative voice, "Hello there."
Berri Sundae has posed:
If Berri -was- Mystique in disguise, it would very much be a case of hiding in plain sight. Still, she comes to blink again at Magneto's approach, gently tilting her head to the side as the parasol was given a light twirl from the handle with her fingertips and then she nodded her head in silent greeting.

No verbal comments or greeting, just a lift of her fingers to wiggle in a wave.
Magneto has posed:
Magneto surveys the young woman, his gaze lingering on her face behind his helmet. He is surprised when she did not respond to him verbally. His eyebrows furrowed and he tilted his head, curiosity getting the better of him.

"Are you unable to talk?" His voice is surprisingly warm for someone who has made a name for himself as a villain, but there is still an edge underneath that suggests he wouldn't take no for an answer. "Or do you simply choose not to?"
Berri Sundae has posed:
A small moment of consideration in her answer and curiousity on her face and she lifts a hand, drawing down to her pocket and withdrawing a small smartphone. Text to speech, handy for the girl who didn't speak. Still, she comes to a moment of consideration and begins to type with startling efficiency.

'I don't talk.' she types before looking up to the man, 'but if I did, I'd be telling you how suprised I am to see you here.'.
Magneto has posed:
Magneto's eyes widen in surprise when he notices the young woman, silently tapping away on her smartphone device. He processes the thought for a moment and then opened his mouth to speak in a friendlier voice.

"I know of someone who chooses not to speak out of fear that his words will create chaos. I can't help but wonder if your silence stems from a similar cause. Could you be a mutant?"

He clearly chooses not to answer he question for the time being.
Berri Sundae has posed:
A mutant? That earns a little quirk of her lips, a smile and a tap of her finger to her nose before she bites her bottom lip. More typing and she considers, before she offers truth. 'I can 'talk' in people's minds when I need to, though I don't think I can do that through your helmet.'

A little shift and her parasol was pressed with tip down against the ground. 'Oh...are you here for them too? That's so much more of a response than they'd expect.'
Magneto has posed:
"I see," Magneto's face hardens, and he raises a gloved hand to the helmet resting on his head. At this proximity, Berri can glimpse the sight of two clasps on either side of the helmet. "Unfortunately, I don't make a habit of letting strangers into my mind. It is the reason why I wear my helmet after all. It might not appear to be so; it serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. I apologise for any discourtesy you may have taken from my refusal."

He then glances around the area before his gaze comes to a rest on the stranger before him once more. His face softens slightly as he regards the young woman.

"However, I don't believe that you are the one that I have been searching for. Her powers are of a different nature than yours. Hers are that of a shapeshifter.

It doesn't look like the person I was looking for is here. She would have made herself known to me by now. But perhaps I came here for a different reason than I thought. I have also been in search of someone who possesses telepathic powers."
Berri Sundae has posed:
'I can't sense a shapeshifter,' Berri offers, that digitized voice offering her own words before she shrugs her shoulders. 'I was here to deal with some other individuals who were causing some trouble for some friends of mine.' A little shift, she does however blink lightly at that last comment, a little quirk of her lips as she leans forwards. 'You have been searching for a telepath?'
Magneto has posed:
Magneto's gaze pierces into the eyes of the young woman. His voice deepens as he speaks in a serious tone. "Yes, I am in search of a telepath. I do not know just how powerful your gifts are, but if you are of mutant kind, there is potential that you could achieve great power through training.

I intend to create a machine of my own that can amplify telepathic powers and let us find mutants anywhere on Earth."

He pauses, his face hard and implacable, searching her face for an answer.
Berri Sundae has posed:
Berri was not trained by Professor X, her powers were always potent but focused and self-taught. Even so, she does blink in consideration, tilting her head to the side and lifting her phone to ask the obvious question. 'What about those mutants that don't want to be found? What are you planning on doing when you can find mutants?'

She knew enough to doubt he'd want to harm them...but that didn't mean there wasn't others who might want to do just that...
Magneto has posed:
Magneto's voice is strong and unwavering as he addresses the young woman, who he has still not learnt the name of. "Most mutants who don't want to be found, live in fear. They live lives of constantly looking over their shoulders," Magneto replies firmly. "But on Genosha that can finally be free - free to be who they are; to live amongst their own kind without prejudice or persecution. I understand that no everyone will necessarily be willing to give up their current lives. But they should at least consider how much better their lives could be if they come with us. If choose not to, then I and the Brotherhood will do everying in our power to protect them and keep their secret."
Berri Sundae has posed:
'Genosha huh?' She types out, bringing her phone to both hands as she continues to type, parasol resting against her hip. 'You're trying to build a little hideaway for all mutants, how is that any different to a reserve? It's our world as much as anyone's. As much as theirs.'

A little lean forwards, she considers for a moment before smiling. 'That being said, I could be convinced to help you...'
Magneto has posed:
Magneto grunts, his eye's burn with passion, his lips pressed tightly together in an unspoken challenge - mask of determination. Then he speaks slwoly and deliberately, making sure that each words makes his point.

"Genosha is not a prison. Genoshans are allowed to outside the borders to travel the world - they will never be ruled by a foreign power. I will listen to words the of my people and I will address their issues and make sure that their rights are not violated.

I am working on putting systems in place to make sure that Genosha's resources flourish, and in time, other countries will come to us seeking trade. Education and health care will be made accessible to all Genoshans. We will create a utopia, not a prison."

He pauses for a moment to let his words reflect on the woman's mind. Then with a single raised eyebrow, finally he asks, "What do you have in mind?"
