Cast of Characters: Rogue, Wolverine

Rogue has posed:
Word's likely already spread like wildfire amidst both students and residents of Xavier's Mansion that Rogue is currently held up in the medical lab downstairs. Due to her unique abilities, she wasn't able to be taken to a normal hospital and from what was said, barely made it back to the mansion in seemingly one piece. She's got on a medical gown, is still hooked up to an IV, and has bandages wrapped around both her arms, her left leg and her torso. Hair's tied back but loosely and currently her eyes are closed and the lights are dim as if to allow her to rest.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan hasn't been there -every- night with Rogue but most. It's the first night and small bits when the team -reallly- needed him. With the latter, Logan does have people notify him if something changes. The former is simply bad timing.

Logan walks back into the room, moving quietly. He'll speak low, "Don't know who I wanna hit more. You or him. I know ya can hit above yer metaphorical weight class, but Juggernaut won't hold back. Gotta beat him with yer smarts before ya can hit him with yer fist," and then he let's out a big sigh. "I can't lecture ya too bad."

Another sigh escapes his lips, "I'm gonna try to peel him outta that armor like he's tin can, but i know I should have others wit' me to help," and he's speaking honestly. Not expecting anyone to listen as he talks while pulling up a chair. this is where he will hunker down for the night.
Rogue has posed:
"Ain't worth goin' after him, Logan. Don't do anythin' stupid.." Rogue speaks, slow and slightly scratchy voiced from how she's been sleeping lately. Eyes flutter open and her head turns just a bit to glance over at him. "Sides, was my fault. I got too cocky...and Hawkeye was busy fending off the others that had been attacking us. Juggy was trying to help some people steal some sort of..." She takes a slow breath, gives a cough, winces in pain and then, "military equipment. We stopped them tho, and when Juggy noticed he wasn't gonna get a paycheck, he stalked away."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan just listens and he will say, "We should know not to be cocky." Rogue knows he mans both fo them. This isn't a Royal We useage of the term. Sometimes he has his moments. "But makes me wanna ask. Ya been in some scrapslately. How did he get the shot in?" he asks curious on this one.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue chuckles, but that comes with a slight wince too. Broken ribs are a pain in the ass. "He was down, and like I said, Hawkeye was taken out the others. So I went and took some cover behind a bit of rubble. Was tryin' to get to whatever they were wantin' to steal." She laughs and looks towards the ceiling. "Juggy was up and jumping 'fore I could react. He didn't get a full punch in or I would'a been miles from the scene, but he hit me hard enough I made a small crater in the dirt when I landed a few hundred feet from him."
Wolverine has posed:
"Least it wasn't a sucker punch," there's something insulting with those. Not necessarily using them, but if they're the finishing blow to a fight. It's like a fist with a built in insult to injury. Well, at least in Logan's mind. "What's the damage? How long will I be gettin' mad over this?" the latter question is his way of asking how long it will take her to heal. Logan will be there every step of hte way. Just every wince, groan and moan, will cause his anger to build.
Rogue has posed:
"Nope. Juggy was doing bad things and unlucky for him, Hawkeye had already been watching the area. I just happened to be patroling as well that day." Rogue admits and then shifts a little to sit up more comfortably, which includes raising the bed a bit as well. "Scrapes and gashes on my arms and leg. Two broken ribs and some bad bruising along my back. The ribs will take the longest to heal, but...I think one of the healer mutants may be coming by soon to help out with that." Course, Logan could help too, but that's a dangerous road for them to travel.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan doesn't offer to help because Rogue probably needs control to keep the powers in check. It's hard to maintain focus when she's dealing with a few of her injuries. Pain is a powerful disruption. "So, how long will it take em' to put ya back together again?" he asks pointedly, wondering if they gave her a time table.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue takes in a breath. "Couple of days. Just need to have someone come in after a few missions that are being ran." She offers this and then smiles. "Don't you worry none. I'll be back to my old self faster'n you can say Jiminy Cricket." Then she chuckles again. Her hands are still gloved so she reaches out to touch gloved fingers against his arm. "How're you doin' anyway?"
Wolverine has posed:
"Couple of days?" Logan says knowing they could take longer, but it still beats taking months. His sky blue eyes looking back to her for a moment, "Jiminy Cricket," and he'll wait a beat. "Ya ain't gettin' outta bed yet," Logan teases.

Then she touches his arm, "Been worried 'bout you. Probably watch some Arnold films wit' a beer knowin' yer safe," Logan has a few guilty pleasure movies. The majority are either Akira Kurosawa directed pieces or Arnold Schwarzenegger films from the 80s. There's probably a few similar ones littered in, an odd one here or there, but it's a very niche group.

"Worry me like this again, n' I'm kickin' yer ass after it heals," he warns Rogue. The man's face is softening a little. He's no longer -as- worried about her.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue sticks her tongue out at him with that first bit. "Smart ass." Offering that much before giving another grin. "I'm safe and I'm fine. I'll be up and at em before ya know it." Likely because someone will be by (an NPC of course) to actually take care of Rogue.

"Uh huh. I might hold you to that one. Cause we both know who'd come out on top in a fight between us..." No one. It'd be a draw. Between his healing and her being able to dodge those claws. One of them would just have to give up.
Wolverine has posed:
"Better to be a smart ass than a dumb one," Logan smirks at her. Then he gives a nod. He believes Rogue. When she talks about being cared for by a healer, Logan believes that will happen.

"Yeah. I would," Logan says knowing it would be a draw. Although, he thinks it would be for different reasons. He thinks one cut would lead to two. Similarly, one super strong blow leading to more. He thinks she would be a bloody mess of claw cuts. And he would be tenderized muscle barely clinging to adamantium bones.
Rogue has posed:
"Okay. That tells me you've calmed down a bit since yer tossin' out jokes." Rogue says this much and then smiles. "You would, eh? I suppose I'll just have to worry you like this again so we can really find out." A wink is given then before she shakes her head. "You look tired. Maybe you should go get some sleep."
Wolverine has posed:
"But whose gonna watch you if I sleep?" Logan asks her pointedly. A smirk on his face as he looks at the woman for a moment. It's an honest question he has as he wondrs about her. Yes, Rogue wil be fine before he knows it. However, it's still troubling to see he rlike this. To see one of the toughest people he knows in a bad like this one.
Rogue has posed:
"The nurse will watch me. And I'm sure others may stop by. Besides, that chair isn't comfortable and I'm close enough that if I need you I can reach you." Rogue offers this. "But I get it. Yer concerned, and I appreciate it... I just don't want you sittin' here watchin' me and not takin' care of yerself."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan wants to argue this, but she's right. It's not like her hospital is exactly miles away. It's a few yards, going vertically, between the places. He's sill, Rogue can see the gears turning. "I wanna argue ya, but I can't," he admits and looks back toward her. Honestly, he's stumped, but not anting ot admit it opnely.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue grins. "That's because I'm a bit more level headed than you are and can make good points. I ain't gonna fight ya if ya stay here thought. I was just sayin' that it wouldn't be a bad thing if you go to yer room to sleep. I won't be upset either way." Explaining that much again while giving his arm a squeeze before drawing her hand back.
Wolverine has posed:
A nod comes from Logan, "I'd aruge ya more if I didn't think ya were right," he looks toward the woamn. He would aruge her untilt he end of time, but Rogue needs to heal. Logan knows this. She knows this. and so, it keeps him in check. "-Do Not- Hesitate to call," and that's the cloest she could see to genuine worry on him for the moment. She does have access to him ina way few others do. With his carte blanche permission, she could flag him down at any time.
