...and the Holograms
Date of Scene: 08 April 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Elycia Kreiger heads to Subway only to meet the one and only Dazzler
Cast of Characters: Starr, Dazzler

Starr has posed:
It's only been about 15 minutes since the attempted bank robbery, and police are still screaming towards the crime scene. However, many of the defenders are gone. One of whom is getting back into her car. "Allllll right. back to finding the club. Oi."

And she pulls out of the parking lot....and finally finds a club...she also finds a place to eat across the street. "Oh my god yes." She says as if she struck paydirt as she goes into a subway and orders her favorite sub......

Dazzler has posed:
When the door to the Subway sandwich shop squeaks open, the small collective of hungry faces, including one standing in line in front of Elycia, all turn to look her way. A friendly clerk waves his hand in the air and bids her entry into the sandwich artist gallery, and then promptly goes back to smearing fresh avocado onto sugar-loaded bread.

In the corner of the room is a woman eating by herself. Dark sunglasses, even indoors, cover her face and she's keeping her head down. Eyes locked on her cell phone and the salad she's stabbing her fork into, she's quietly reading and doing her best to keep her calorie-conscious dressing off of the expensive, black dress she's wearing. Jagged, bitchin' hemlines and pull-on boots to match, she's dressed for a night out, but eating cheap (or healthy), it seems.

Starr has posed:
Sadly, there seem to be no other seats in the place, so after placing her order and making small talk with the sandwich artist, Elycia thanks him and flops at the seat across from the one who's dressed for a night out at a club, it seems. "ugh." She groans softly. "All those police officers seem to be headed for something, I guess." She says as she takes a bite of her sub....

Dazzler has posed:
//Cr-r-r-unch//.

Salad, probably some onion, at the very least something crunchy, ties within the confides of Alison Blaire's closed mouth. She lifts her eyes from her cell phone to look across the short distance to the other woman. Her jaw rolls with her tiny, careful bites, though somehow, her well-manicured brows peek out above the lenses of her glasses at the mention of cops.

"Did you see if anything was going on?" Alison asks after she swallows, doing everything in her power to not touch her own hair or get it into her salad as she glances to the door. "Hang on, let me check on my phone." Alison smiles, then starts to tap with her thumb, loading up the local news websites.

Starr has posed:
The local news feeds say that a local bank had an attempted robbery by a bunch of robots. However, a woman that seemed to have Superman's type of costume, as well as few others, including a 7 foot tall red haired woman and a girl that froze many of the robots were described.
Elycia sighs softly as she looks at her own phone. "Mmm...must be the bank. Shame they didn't catch who programmed them, hmm?"

Dazzler has posed:
"Oh my god, and this up the street? That's cray." Alison blinks down to the screen, scrolling over the article and skimming it. With news that's still in the 'BREAKING' category, there really isn't much. Alison's lips tighten and she looks to the door one more time, then, with a sigh, she sets her phone down on its face.

"I love the city so much, you know? It breathes, but it's also got all kinds of other problems. I hope that Superman girl and the others are keeping others from getting hurt, you know?" Alison pauses a beat, then picks up her fork. "Friday night, too. Robot programmers need to take a night off."

Starr has posed:
"To say the least. if only they would." ELycia then sighs. "Not bad coming from a country girl from Maryland." she then chuckles. "I hope she does too. She seemed pretty cool when she flew in."

Dazzler has posed:
The side of Alison's mouth scrunches up. It's as if the door is calling to her, that some part of her wants to take her eyeballs streetside to rubberneck the passing cops. When she finally decides to stay in place, there's a little shake of her head, a frowning dismissal. With no means to help at the moment, she helps herself. To her water bottle.

"Maryland, yeah? Baltimore isn't so small. Nowhere near as large as this, though." Crack. The water bottle opens and Alison takes a tiny sip. "Are you visiting or did you move here?"

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger says, "Just visiting actually. it's somewhat close to New York and my band was hired to play at the club across the street, so I'm taking a look to make sure it's okay. Don't exactly want to provide ambiance for a strip club, right?" she then chuckles. "that would be a little embarassing....""

Dazzler has posed:
"I wouldn't advise that. That happened to me once." Alison Blaire holds up a finger, a single finger. "Once. There's nothing salvagable about it, I promise you." Grinning quietly to herself, Alison takes another quick sip of her water, then sets the bottle down. She focuses her eyes on Elycia, taking her in for a quick assessment, then nods her head. "So you're in a band, you said? What kind of act are you?"

Starr has posed:
"Mostly retro." Elycia says with a chuckle. "You know, 80's pop, rock, and somethings like that. Even a bit of disco thrown in. Seems metal, grunge and the new electronic pop is what the radios love and people are sick of it." She then shrugs. "More gigs for us. We're called the Holograms, after all."

Dazzler has posed:
"The Holograms; I'll have to keep an ear out for you." Alison smirks, circling her salad with a fork. One unlucky slice of tomato is speared. It doesn't scream, but it drips with dressing as Alison holds her hair back and leans in, biting it off of the fork. "Retro's great right now," Alison continues after she finishes chewing. "I love it all, but right now the metal and rock stuff has a few bands trying new things and a lot of bands in the middle of the pack. Anything to really chip away at the standards and change people's perspectives. Yeah, Retro?" Alison dips her head. "Retro is great."

Starr has posed:
"Thanks. We'll be over there in a few nights. We even have a keytaur. I can't believe they still make them!" Elycia's grinning all over herself right now. "I'm ELycia Kreiger, by the way."

Dazzler has posed:
"I know the owner of that club. He's a fair guy and you should get your fair cut of the door." Alison sets her fork down on the edge of the plastic bowl and reaches for her Subway-branded napkin. She quickly spot-cleans her fingers and then extends an arm across the table, thin wrists angled with an open thumb for a shake. "I'm Alison Blaire, and if your keytaur ever breaks down, I actually know a guy."

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger smiles and shakes Alison's hand. "Nice to meet you actually." She then sighs a bit as another officer goes by. "Sheesh. Did they send every cop to that bank?" She then shakes her head and finishes her sub. "Mmmm....You have experience in performing?"

Dazzler has posed:
"It's a pleasure, though if another cop goes by I'm going to demand we finish our food outside. I wouldn't want you and these people to get stuck in the middle of it if it's coming down this way." Alison squeezes Elycia's hand and then sets it free. Sitting back, she starts to sort through her salad some more, trying to find another tomato. "I do, actually. I've put a few albums out and been on tour a few times. If the Holograms make it to that level, it's really like nothing else." Alison smiles, almost awkwardly. "We've got an internet presence if you search for my name on your phone, but I //think// I've got a few promo downloads for songs in my purse." Alison looks away, rifling through an expensive purse on the seat beside her.

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger says, "If it's coming down this way, I'm going to insist on it too." She then makes a face. "Just...really. How many cops do they need?" She then looks to Alison. "really? you've been on tour? We're just getting our act together and trying our sounds. We just found a certain sound that we liked and ran with it. Suddenly we're getting gigs." She then searches for Alison's name and even downloads a song....as another cop goes by. thankfully she's already done. "What the....""

Dazzler has posed:
A fresh, newly printed card is set down on the table near Elycia. Atop is is the cover art to Dazzler's new album, and on the other side, doubtlessly a bar code and scratch-off redeemable code. "I did the Apollo practice-practice-practice thing until a few things happened and I got a pretty good break. And-" Alison scoots out of her side of the booth, capturing her skirt behind her and smoothing it into place. Next comes her bag, her sunglasses and cell phone aren't far behind. She dumps her food in the garbage and grabs her water bottle. "-it's time to get a looksie. Come on." Alison nudges and offers a hand. "Let's be lookouts for the Sandwich Artists."

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger slides out of the booth and tosses her trash, but gets her soda. "Yeah, I agree." She gets the card though, and gets the songs into her phone. They make their way outside as they seem to have secured the perimeter.....and are pointing guns at the bank. "Sheesh. the robots were disabled. What're they being so chicken for?"

Dazzler has posed:
Alison looks up and down the street before her eyes settle on the cops in the distance. Her painted lips crease into a frown and then she's leaning back into the restaurant, muttering quietly to an employee nearby. When she returns, she moves to stand alongside Elycia to watch from a distance. "Disabled or destroyed? Disabled can be flipped back on. Hey-" Ali turns and places a hand on Elycia's shoulder, fixing an eye on her. "I've done this kind of stuff before and I'm going to keep an eye on things out here, but you should head inside the club and tell Tommy that Dazzler told him to put your drinks on my tab and take care of you, okay?"

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger says, "Four were destroyed, four were disabled, the other two ran." She then makes a face. "this might be the other two that got through the ice girl's effect." She then sighs. Alison might see that she's telling details that only people that fought against them would know. She looks at the club and makes a face. "All right. I'll have to get in there and double check the gig anyways. I shouldn't be TOO long...I hope." She says running into the club."

Dazzler has posed:
"That's some awfully accurate information there, Elycia Kreiger of the Holograms," Alison snerks and walks with Elycia, at least until the other side of the street where a BMW is parked. The trunk is popped open and the purse is slid into the back. Pressing a kiss to her lips, then the trunk, she closes it and gives Elycia a wave. "I've got questions, but good luck in there. I'm not a cop so I'm just going to..." Alison sighs into a lean against her car, folding her arms beneath her breasts. "...stake this thing out."

Starr has posed:
Elycia Kreiger waves over to Alison and smiles. "Don't ask too many questions at the moment, since I don't have all the answers here." She says as she heads into the club, and does just what Alison says. She's mostly checking out the club and the type of crowd though. It's a retro type of club too. Can almost smell the Aqua Net in the air. by the time Elycia comes back out, which is a while later...the cops are gone.....and she has just what she needs on her phone.....
