Synopsis: Spidey, and Willow have a nice conversation about many things.
Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Willow Rosenberg

Spider-Man has posed:
Today it was mid-day, and at Columbia Univeristy they have open doors for anyone to visit as they display all the new and curious devices that have come with access to the new technology, and discoveries that this world holds. There are hovinger boards, lower forms of transportation as in non-living things that works... most of the time. There is even one person that says they have come up with Spider-Web they have a model of a spider holding a toy car made from metal.

Peter is here with his camera around his neck, and is currently talking to the Spider-web guy, with a small smile. "You better not let Boss see that, you know how he is with this stuff." he says to the guy. In response he gets a "It's not like it is real, to swing a body at those speeds.. I can only imagine how much tensil weight those things must have." Which gets a response of, "1.75 gigapascals" from Peter, before he smiles a bit.. "I am good at math." he plays it off hoping no-one noticed.

All of this is going on in what looks like it was once a gym, not the bleachers pulled back, and tables set out for the varied displays. It is pretty full, and some name would show up representing the different buisnesses taking consideration of the inventions, and the people who made them.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow was in her element! The only way it could have been better was if the things were pertaining to her fields, or, even better! Magic! (Not that she would have expected the university to hold a conference on *that*!)

Walking around, with her name tag turned around - of course - denoting that she was in a booth, though her time was done, she took full advantage of the neat, and cool, things that were in the forefront of science. And some that were just fun.

As Willow turned, looking at new booths, she giggled at the conversation between the spider guy, and the man who seemed to have the answers that spider guy didn't. "Really with science thinking of new ways to improve what we already have, it is quite possible that we will see, in the future, threads that are capable of just what you said weren't."
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter smiles, and nods as the guy with the web adds, "Of course as there is nothing that could hold that much natrually." to which Peter nodded, as he actually knew the formula, and though it did have some natrual things in it that was just so it would dissolve more then for tensil strength. He wasn't going to mention anything before some one else adds, "Well he does it somehow, so it must be possible." before moving on. Peter is quiet looking at his camera, and decides not to add anything to that.

Looking to change the subject Peter looks at Willow, "Are you interested in web tensile strength? I myself prefer the hover board myself. That looked so cool." and grins a bit, as he considered hover man. Shaking his head at that, he smiles at her to show he is joking, but turns to the person with the exhibit. "Take a picture with the stuff."

Getting an agreement he looks over at Willow, adding. "Hi.. Name is Peter." as he lifts the camera to get ready to take a shot of the exhibit with the inventor in the picture, but he stays clear of the picture of the spider. It seems that he eyes Araneus oscorpeus a bit nerviously as he interacts with the people aroud them.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Actually, I'm really into the theoretical maths, rather than functional. You did come up with the number very fast - are you a fan, or someone who works with maths?"

For a second she forgets to introduce herself. "Oh! Peter. I'm Willow.. see?" And she flipped her name tag so that he could see it. "I'm a Master's student in maths and computer science. I held the booth up to a half hour ago. You would be amazed, all that I get from this is a pat on the back - figuratively - and this name t.. Hey! They spelled my name wrong!"

Willow giggles. "I guess I only get the pat. Gee whiz, huh?"
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter smiles, as the reason why he gets along with Bucky so well when he gets a target in his lens he doesn't miss the shot. So taking a picture of a perfectly frammed inventor Peter smiled, and looked at the picture in his camera. "I moolight in.Neurotechnology, and biophysics." though he glances around a bit, "And I take shots of the real deal on occastions. For some reason he lets me, but JJJ buys them all up." he shrugs a bit. "I don't know.." he looks at the shot and smiles he actually liked it. "I just can't put the camera down ya know?"

The man at the exhibit looks at the two with a confused look... "Umm sure budy, but can I go now. I need to get this cleaned up so they can move this along." which gets a "Oh.. yea sorry." and an embarassed look as was getting in the way. He took a step back, "Hello Willow, and sorry about that. I was running a little late." he thought about it as the burning building, then bank robbery made him run rather later so he had to pick quickly then smiled, "Traffic is horrible in New York." though he biked his way here today so didn't actually own a car.

He thinks about it for a moment then nods to her, "Do you want to talk about the exhibit? I got a few before they bring in the next group so if you would like to explain it to me, I would be happy to listen and maybe take a few photos if you have any display left?" he offered as a way to make up for missing her earlier. "I can not promise anything as I am only a photographer, but I will definetly not pat you on the back if that helps?" and grins a bit.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, someone is taking the booth over. We lab rats go wherever they want us to. Today we just handed out pamphlets for eager students to think about here for there schooling. Gosh, that sounds terrible, doesn't it? I mean, I love here! It was between here, CalTech, or MIT."

But the other two would have taken her away for the Scooby, and Justice League Dark, and she wasn't *quite* certain to hang up her superhero clothes.. yet.

"They really are a good school. And I can't fault them for giving me a free pass for my entire studies."

Willow could get behind Peter's bike, what with her subway pass!

"So, you take pictures in the daytime, and futz around with neurotechnology, and biophysics in the off times? You aren't joshing me? That's pretty impressive, I would say."

She takes his lead and gets out of the way of the crowds, seeing as they are mostly talking.
Spider-Man has posed:
with a nod he smiles a bit, "You are not the only ones." he notes as he glances around at the other conversations. Peter whispers, "If you see a huge, and I mean huge bald man stay clear of him. He sometimes goes to these things looking for talent as well. I didn't tell ya that though." he adds quickly. Kingpin was bad news to anyone, and he wouldn't want someone just trying to find fellow researchers to join her to get mixed up with someone like that. He thought about it for a moment. "It isn't as bad as it was. With people like Mr. Stark, and Doctor Banner around there are a lot of people coming up learning with little to no formal education."

He smiles a bit, "But a free pass must meean you are pretty good as well. One could do a lot of things with theoretical math if they understand it well." he eyes her with a smile, "I wonder have you discovered a pratical use for the impratical?" and chuckles a bit adding a "I joke.. I joke."

Though shaking his head he smiles as he answers, "No.. I really do. I was one of the inventors with Dr. Connors on the cure to a mutation of lizard that he was affected with." he notes, "Not to mention helping Dr Octavius develop the interface for brain to interface with the limbs of his suit." he shakes his head though, "It is a shame how he is using them, but I believe it is a malfunction more then..." he cuts himself off. "Sorry.. I shouldn't talk shop."

He looks for a calm area away from everyone to talk so they are not overheard talking, or interupted as he didn't want them to get interupted while they talked.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oh please! I actually like talking shop!" Willow gives a sigh. "My regular crowd of friends are really, well not so strong.. although one friend is super strong, but I digress. My friends are on the brawny side, to tell the truth. And I am the only one going on in school.."

"I was surprised to get my acceptance for Colombia. My undergraduate schooling wasn't the very best. Gotham U. I went with my best friend, though my SATs were pretty good!" Good enough she could have had her pick of any school in the country."

She frowns. "Those people are fabulous in their field. Why didn't you continue on with them?" Not to mention Tony Stark? Dr. Banner??
Spider-Man has posed:
"I get that, they weren't my friends though I know the type." he grins a bit, and pushes up his glasses. "It is good that you chose school though, education will always get us further then brute force.. Or at least I like to think so." and chuckles. "Really brawn isn't all that bad... most the the time, just don't let them convince you every problem needs it to fix." and winks a bit. "But if your sure..." he sighs thinking about it.

He thinks as a start, "Really it wasn't that bad for the cure, it wasn't that bad once we found the specialised lymphocyte culture line. It was Dr. Connor that did most the work." he says looking away a bit, as in this case he did a little brawn work himself giving a shot to the giant lizard, but that didn't count. "His knowledge of biology, and mutating the cells is immense, only he hasn't crossed the line into keeping ones own self." he admits.

He then chuckles, and shakes his head, "Oh no.. I can't talk about Mr. Stark, he does enogh of that on his own. We are friends, but I would hate some misunderstanding get started because I worded something wrong." he smiles a bit, "Dr. Banner, he seemed nice though. Misunderstood, but a really warm fellow, whispers a lot, but smartest man I have met so far."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I wish I could meet them - especially Mr. Stark. He has the forefront of computer sciences! Oh wow.." Willow shakes her head. "I work at X-Corp. I think I am the only one of the employees who isn't a mutant. Which is funny when you think of it. They have a hard set rule that all their employees have to be mutant."

She shrugs. "It's not that they could win a bodybuilding contest. They just think with 'how can a beat them.'. like beat them beat them. My job is more.. research? So that when they are .. well, when they face others they have a better chance of beating them."

Oh dear, she almost blabbed about what the Scoobies did! The Justice League Dark was a whole nother thing.

"But you haven't told me why you aren't working for the people. I mean you've got to be brilliant, and you're taking pictures? Why?"
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter thinks about it, "Well how bout this, if you give me a number how bout I try to put you in contact with Mr. Stark? He is a good guy, and if he hears your into science I am sure he could mark out some time." he shrugs, and would ask Tony about it later as the worse he could do is say no. "And did not know that about X-Corp." though he leans in and says quietly, "Though if you really are a mutant, it is okay with me, but I would keep the cover story for the others." leaning back not asking her which was true going with her word of not being for now as he didn't care if someone was a mutant of course.

With a chuckle, "It is nice though to have so many friends, despite them being neaderthals, it is still good to keep them close." and grins a bit as he jokes a little. "Though it sounds like they depend on you as much as you do them." he smiles a little bit, "Your not the cops right? You have to tell me if I ask." he says with a grin as that really wasn't a rule. Then he chuckles, "I can get pretty fast on that bicycle out there.. maybe your a trick to give me a ticket."

"And why.. that is the question isn't it.. I am just too busy I have tried to balance it before, but bosses always want ya there when work starts, and then your stuck till it ends. I just can't do that." he thinks about how with his current job he is more Spider-man then Peter anymore as being the hero means that he is out stopping crimes all day every day. He shakes his head, "Taking pictures pays the bills, and gives me my freedom. It isn't a bad job, and I am good at it. Though I still have all day to.." he stops considering as he couldn't say solve crimes, "Chores." and smiles.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"You would? Really??" Willow nearly squees with that. "I would be in your debt! Have you a cell phone? I can pass you my info that way."

As for X-Corp.. "It's run by a mutant - for mutants. They often get the cheap end of the stick when it comes to, well.. everything, I guess. I'm not one, though. I was hired for my skills with computers." And magic, she mustn't forget that. "I help the employees find the perfect job - inside and outside of the corporation. It started as an internship. It's good because it works with my schedule."

And Willow's was a doozy! Between school, shifts at the Watchtower and at the Magic Box, plus anytime the Scoobies needed her.. there wasn't a 9-5 job that would have fit her. She was most definitely a type A personality.

As Peter tried to answer the question it occurred to Willow, there must be something else. Because to work with those people should have given him enough hours to pay the bills. And his 'chores' sounded like her own 'I've got to look after my friend Giles' store while he is in England..'" Which was true, and not true at the same time.

"I have similar things - working towards my Masters." Maybe she will go on to her PhD. Maybe?
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter chuckled, and pulled out his phone. "I am not promising anything it is up to Mr. Stark, but I will put in a good word for ya for sure. It is no problem really." everyone wanted to meet Mr. Stark, and no-one likes the poor Spider. Of course he usually had to hit stuff to solve it so got how she wouldn't know the brain behind the mask. He was way funnier then Stark though, and he grins lost in thought for a moment.

"Maybe I should ask you for a job, bet you could find me one." he shakes his head, "I might have to soon. I have a friend dropping back in town, and might be moving so we can live together. Finding a place for three people here is super expensive though." he considered Firestar, and Bobby both needed room, as well as himself. "Though I am not a mutant, so I should prob let Mr. Stark know if I need work." and grins at her.

It would be tough, but if he wanted money he could not pay for it with his current job. He would have to adjust not going out all day to fight crime like he did back when he was at school, but he doesn't know if he could sit still for long enough. He had been fighting crime so hard, and so often that he has forgotten what it was like to be normal.

He looks at her and must see some disbelief, and adds. "I have an eldery Aunt." and hated using her for this as Aunt May still had all her facilities, but she was a good excuse for someone who needed to hide time like he does. It was not unheard of, but at least his Aunt wasn't around to disprove it so it would work for now. He also hated lieing, and wasn't good at it, but this was one thing he had to keep secret.

Though he finally continues, "You totally should, a Masters is a whole different level, and maybe next time you could answer the question as quickly as I did." and grins at her.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oh, I'm taking my Master's, a double at that. I just finished the first year. In fact, with my scholarship I don't have to work beyond my teaching assistant job." In fact, she probably wouldn't need to do that either, come to think of it. "But, I don't know. Even if I chose not to work at X-Corp.."

Which gave her unlimited access to things on the web that she wouldn't have otherwise..

"I would still have to work at the store for my friend who is over in England." It was a long tale, which was better wrapped up as he was in England, and she helped watch his store. (Because otherwise she would have to explain the bit about her magic.)

The Watchtower she just keeps quiet about.

"If you wanted a cheap place to live, my apartment building is very cheap! It is in Gotham. I know most people tend to avoid the area." Willow hides her face at that.
Spider-Man has posed:
"Oh that makes sense, then yea for sure keep up the good work!" and chuckles a bit. "And you don't need to explain it, I know how sometimes the job can drive you, so if there is anyone out there that gets doing work even if you don't have to it is me." and grins, as that was more true then he could ever explain.

"Wait so do you go to england, or does your friend employ you here?" as that statement could mean either, but considers it is here as she didn't look like the constant traveling type, as they tend to get restless. He nods, and listens though not interupting as it was an interesting thing to hear.

Finally he responded.. "I don't know.. I would have to go back to New York everyday." he considers, as criminals in New York got him, while in Gotham they were always so dark his quuips didn't get through. He thinks it has to do something with clowns, and shivers as he too distrusted them. Painted faces, big squeezable noses, just super shady.

He smiled though, "This isn't only my decision though... I will ask them, and see what they think. If we do so I might just do that." he shakees his head, "Might have to talk lower there." and grins a bit.. "Answer to Me!" this time talking in a deep gravely voice that makes him clear his throat, and shake his head. "Maybe not."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well," Willow perks up. "I mean it doesn't matter to me! And I work all over the place, so that's not really a problem once you find your way around. Just if you needed a cheap place to live, I could give you a good review."

She takes out her cell phone and exchanges info quite easily. For Mr. Stark.. and for Peter himself, if he so chooses.

"Giles? Not precisely." Willow thinks about how she should broach the subject. "He's got business across the pond as he puts it. He would be more happy in his bookstore - that's where I work - but this time it was an emergency. His other friend, John, checks in on us from time to time. Giles' has known us since highschool. My friend Buffy shares the day to day operation of the store. Buffy is my housemate if you were wondering."

She giggles at his deep voice. "I can't do that!"
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter nods, and smiles. "Might need one.. Been late on rent a few... dozen... tmes." and chuckles and rubs the back of his head. It was always hard keeping the two lives seperate when he put his time into Spidey, and his job didn't pay much so living with others might help that. "The guy who runs my place is a bit agressive though his daughter is super nice. Always gives me milk and cookies for some reason." then shrugs at that. "Just mean it would be hard for me to get a refrence from him." and grins again.

Exchanging info he nods, "Giles, Buffy, check.. You have some interesting named friends." he then stops and thinks about it though he had never heard those names before, but decides to share, "Yea the place I am looking for would be for three people. We went to school, and grew up together, and though one went to Canada she is back so I thought I would get the band back together." he smiles, and clears his throat.. "to do chores."

Though he grins thinking about that, "Yea it is tough on the voice, I thought it was a requirement for everyone in Gotham, maybe it is only at night though?" and grins joking again.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, I have different ways to protect me? Beside Buffy would be angry with whoever gave me a hard time. If you wanted to look at them, just give me a DM. Easy peasy."

As much as she was enjoying herself, she noticed the time. "I should let you return to your work?" Pointing at his camera. "But you don't have to have an excuse. You can send me a note, or call, or anything. If you want, that is.."
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter nods, and smiles. "Believe me I have way too many dangerous ladies in my life to underestimate you." and chuckles as he thinks at least she wasn't in black leather with a nine-tail whip. That lady was super mean to him, and he was just trying to help! No at least he has met someone who is normal, not some super powered person who fought crimes at night, and it was nice. He smiled looking at Willow, Yea no-way she was some kind of magical hero or something so Peter could just relax and talk with her.

But he shook his head to clear his thoughs, and nodded. "Of course! I will definetly call about the Stark thing either way, and who knows.. Maybe you will run into a neurotechnology issue, or something so you should have my number as well." he starts to head out, as in leaving the building not going back to take more photos. "It was nice talking to you. Until next time!" and grins as he waves walking away quickly as he had... chores to do.
