Cast of Characters: Thomas Raith, Willow Rosenberg

Thomas Raith has posed:
Mid afternoon is on a Tueseday wen the bell above the door rings on the Magic Box, and somthing wicked this way comes... Or at least devilishly handsome. Thomas hasn't been in the Magic Box since his break up with Buffy some time ago, but as things have been slow at the Jazz Club, maybe it's time to visit old friends.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Seeing now that she had finished her year (unless she took some summer courses!), Willow actually had some free time. Well, almost free time. What the her increased hours at the Box, and at X-Corp the reality was she had fewer minutes of the day that were unaccounted for.

Go figure!

And like most midweek hours, the Box was empty. Which did give Willow some time to look at books, and research papers on the web, to her heart's content.

She was a very complicated woman.

When the doorbell rang, telling her someone was entering, she sighed and put her bookmark between the two pages that she was reading. "Welcome.. oh! Thomas! What a surprise."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith chuckles a bit, running his fingers through his long black hair and offering a smile, "Yeah I suppose it is... which is sort of why I am here." He holds up a paper bag and says "It's been too long, and I've been letting friendships slip. Smash made a vegetarian lasagna yesterday as a special, but there was quite a bit left over... And i thought to myself 'Self, who do i know that would like some vegetarian lasagna?"
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oooo!" Thomas did know her so well. A vegetable lasagna that she didn't have to cook? Bonus points! "Thank you ever so much! I would give you some cookies, but I am all out of them. Probably till Friday."

At which Willow did pout.

"Do you want to sit down for a little while? It's been quite quiet today. I was reading some books on sigils. New ones!! It seem these were in the basement of a Church to keep them out of the hands of people like me. Which is king of funny given that they are protection sigils. The Middle Ages were crazy like that."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith chuckles a bit, "Yeah, the Church has never been that good at prioritizing. Keep books of magic spells out of the hands of people who might use them to protect themselves or others... but hey lets just put these cursed silver coins into circulation like we are using them in vending machines." He chuckles as he takes a small foil pan out of the bag, and then a second, letting them sit side by side and letting the Witch choose which she wants. Supernatural curtesy. "Random thought, have you ever thought about signing yourself onto the accords. You've got enough power I would think."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Do you think that the coins were meant to be out and about, or was it just an accident? I've often thought about that one. Especially since we never did find the book that Castiel asked us to find? I've still got the ritual items that go with it, hidden away." At least she thinks she has them! "I wonder what happened to it?"

Willow shakes her head and almost misses the last bit of Thomas' question. "Me? Really?"
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs slightly, "Harry's friend Michael believes that is the case. That evil like the coins can be disuaded, even halted for a time but never really taken out of the equasion. I suppose as a monster myself, I've just always wished that wasn't the case." He lays out plastic cutlery, letting her again choose her own before taking the other. Still to her other question he nods slightly, "If not by yourself, I know of several groups that are signatories that would happily take a witch of your caliber on. Just because the White Counsol are elitest snobs doesn't mean their aren't other options... and really would you want to be a part of a group that would have my brother as a member?" He adds with that wolfish grin.
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Castiel said that the book was evil from the beginning. That the Church kept it under wraps because of the damage that it could do. It was.. well as sentient as those things are, and found a way to break free. Weird huh? The items for the ritual, some were particular, and some were interchangeable with modern stuff. Probably they would have to be blessed or something before they could be used in the ritual. We almost pinned the book down. I really wonder what happened to it.."

Willow turned her attention to Thomas. "Your brother? No, I don't think so. But what would be involved?" Let's face it, something that Thomas is telling Willow about, may be something that isn't on the up and up. Why he would do that is anybody guess, but it was safer to be cautious.

If there was one thing Willow was learning: don't take anything at face value.
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs a little bit, "You'd need to be sponsored by three signatories in good standing. I'd be willing to be one, and I'm sure Harry would be another." He shrugs a little bit. "It's just food for thought, but considering some of the...friends being associated with Buffy can bring, having the Accords as protection might be worth having." He says as he unwraps one of the plastic forks and pulls whichever lasagna the Witch did not take closer to himself. "I can loan you my copy of the accords if you'd like to read it over, but I warn you, it reads like stereo instructions."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow's brow starts to furrow. "That would be nice." Too bad she doesn't have a minor in law! "I read books on Magic, and magic theory. Trust me, sometimes they read like stereo instructions too."

She puts the extra of the lasagna in the middle of her table, and shares it. "Anything else?"
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith chuckles a bit, "Well this is a magical contract written by the Queen of Air and Darkness herself, so believe me, it's pretty air tight. Just remember one thing, the Accords has no 'Spirit' of the law, just it's latter. That is a mistake people often fall into." He nods as he takes a bite from his own dish. "Tell you what, if you want to stop by the club later, I'll let you go over them." He smiles a bit and falls into comfortable sience as the friends enjoy lunch.
