Synopsis: Shiva meets Suzanne Reinhardt
Cast of Characters: Sister Reinhardt, Lady Shiva

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Upper east side. One of the lowest crime rate places in all of new york. Mostly because of the Avenger's mansion and most of the low criminals are scared to death of them. However, if you're not doing anything bad, you have nothing to fear from there.

The traffic is fairly normal in this part of manhattan, and one woman sits in a cafe setting outside of DOminos to watch the traffic go by....and eat pizza.

Lady Shiva has posed:
She had business a few blocks over, speaking with a contact in regards to a job. They had not wanted to meet there. Shiva had insisted. Since the crime rate was low, the cops didn't have to patrol as often. Less cops was good in her line of work. Thankfully, she is rarely recognized as someone they might have an interest in. She's a ghost that is whispered about amongst certain circles, not someone with her face on a wanted poster. Infamy at its best.

She is walking down the sidewalk, that zen aura around her as she weaves though pedestrians without every being touched. Graceful, flowing like water, her posture is at ease. She's wearing black leggings with a red and gold Asian style blouse. Flat slippers cover her feet. Over it all, despite the weather not really caling for it, she wears a lightweight black leather trenchcoat.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne is also relaxing. Though her aura isn't quite as pronounced as Shiva's, she's still eating a bit of comfort food. Watching the traffic, she does turn her head a bit as she looks to the people.....tilting her head as her eyes falls on Shiva. Why does she look familiar? She thinks to herself as she studies her, but ultimately shrugs. As a precaution, though, she spins the ring on her left hand. No one needs to see that.

Lady Shiva has posed:
For a moment, Shiva pauses on the sidewalk. Her gaze goes directly to Suzanne. No sneaking peeks or trying to pretend she isn't. She simply looks at the woman, able to sense her chi. In those moments, she analyzes the woman, gauges her skills based on her chi and body language. It may give Suzanne enough time to place her.

The woman isn't familiar to Shiva, a face she doesn't really. However the life energy is familiar. Yet she waits, not approaching, her analyses not complete as she waits to see if the woman can recognize the same in others.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne happened to be chewing on her pizza when she looks to Shiva again, tilting her head. She did recognize her. She was at the party. "Can I help you?" She asks Shiva as she sets her pizza down. She tries to remain neutral....and her chi remains relaxed, at least for the moment.

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Perhaps." Shiva's still doesn't move, watching the woman. "You were at the celebration of the play. You assisted with defeating the thieves." A statement, not a question. She isn't that far away but it probalby is too far for that sort of a conversation. She isn't seemingly aware of it being a problem. "Your chi is strong yet you also had powers of some type."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Good thing they were alone at the cafe for the moment. Suzanne gestures for Shiva to come towards her. "I know yours is too. And...I assisted in defeating the thieve, yeah. I took away their trump card."

Lady Shiva has posed:
That earns a nod from Shiva who moves into conversation range but remains on the sidewalk. "The rabbit. The one they claimed blocked powers. Did he?" Shiva asks curiously. Having no powers, she was unsure if it had been a bluff. She hadn't tried to read the loudmouthed leader's body language to determine. In truth, the whole thing had been more annoyance than distraction for her.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"He could, yeah. Turns out he was a mutant. So, I brought him to Xavier's institute. The leader tried to shoot me when I took him too." Suzanne then tilts her head. "Can I ask something? Who are you?"

Lady Shiva has posed:
Xavier's Institute. It is not something she is familiar with. Shiva considers the threat of shooting upon Suzanne's arrival. Perhaps a place to seek out talent? Something to look at and consider for another time. "I am called Shiva." It's not truly her name but it is who she has become so the statement is as true as possible. "I am a student of the world."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"I'm Suzanne." She says holding out her hand. Shiva may notice she is keeping her left hand out of sight. That hand is empty, but there is definitely a reason why she is keeping it out of sight. "Student of the world? Huh. I imagine you've been to places then."

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Many and often," Shiva responds but she doesn't share more. It isn't really in her nature to share too much about herself. She actually has already shared more than is normal. "Your chi. Do you know how to utilize it?" Her gaze flicks to the hidden hand. No threats are evident but the woman doesn't want something there seen. There is only a ring that she sees, although she cannot see the nature of it since Suzanne turned it out of sight. It's just a band to Shiva's eyes. Her gaze flicks to Suzanne's face as she awaits the answer.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne takes a bit of a breath. "I do....to a point. You saw me use that one technique and go through the wall in doing so. Are you familiar with Shotokan Martial Arts?"

Lady Shiva has posed:
Her expression doesn't change as she nods. "I am versed with the teachings of the original Master Funakoshi and those who followed after, branching out into their own versions of the art." She waits for the continued answer to her question.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"I studied under Master Gouken in China for about 5 years. I wasn't one of his star pupils, but I did manage to get the basics of Chi use down. there are different branches as well, but that required more training, and I was dragged home by my parents after I got my black belt." Suzanne sounded a LITTLE bitter about that memory. "Master Gouken took very few students as well."

Lady Shiva has posed:
"He is very selective. A good Master. Not like so many who call themselves by that title." Shiva had met him some time back. He fought with honor, his spirit strong. He had treated her with respect and, as such, she had allowed him to live and continue training students. The list of those she found worthy was short.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Yes, but he does have a shame-filled side...one I discovered later. Master Gouken is a good master because he has an example of how not to be honorable. Master Gouken has a brother named Akuma." Suzanne shudders at the memory. "He happened to walk into the dojo as I was leaving. I ran into Ryu and Ken later, master Gouken's star pupils. Akuma nearly killed Master Gouken, if it wasn't for Ryu and Ken. And even then....Ryu and Ken only drove him off."

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Akuma?" Shiva considers for a moment. "It is a name I have heard but I have yet to test him." She seems more interested in the conversation suddenly, focusing intently on Suzanne. "Do you know where he might be found?" He may have skills she has yet to learn. There are so few that do anymore she had given up entirely until an ally had shown her the folly of her ways. Perhaps ally wasn't the right word. It was hard to think of anyone as a friend but perhaps he was one of the few she might title such.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Don't. Ryu and Ken said he's obsessed with getting the life forces of the world's greatest fighters, perhaps even their souls. But one thing is clear.....his intent is not to be gentle. His intent is to kill and destroy. His body has even been warped by the power he has obtained...." Suzanne seems to really want to make sure Shiva doesn't get hurt. She doesn't know Shiva that well.

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Collecting life forces?" Shiva asks, not showing any surprise but this is something she has only hear rumors about. She has never actually met someone who can do it. What a skill that would be to learn, another step on her path to enlightenment. "Tell me more of him. He teaches others his skills or does he simply find others and detroy them? Does he learn their skills for himself before challenging them?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"he simply searches others out to destroy them. he watches his opponents and gauges them before taking their lives." Suzanne then shrugs. "And he doesn't seek to win with politics." She then shrugs. "Ryu and ken didn't elaborate too much on the fight. Just that he was like a 'pick'."

Lady Shiva has posed:
She has much in common with this Akuma yet at the same time, she thinks he is not the same. "He defeats them in battle himself?" Because if he has others doing it for him, simply to take the power of others, then he has no right to be alive. Shiva considers a moment, afraid her that this being one of multiple languages she isn't understanding the translation. "Pick?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Like a military pick from Medieval times. Swung like a hammer, but the hitting point is like the tip of a spear, you can do much more damage at the point of impact, instead of like a hammer, which does the damage over a wider area." Suzanne hopes that description is accurate. "All of this information is third hand, so take the description with a grain of salt....as the saying goes."

Lady Shiva has posed:
"So pinpoint focus of his chi," Shiva muses. Her path has now been set for her. She must find this Akuma. Perhaps Ken and Ryu as well, to see if they have more knowledge than their master. Unlikely but it has happened. "I thank you for the information."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"that's more on his strikes, from what Ryu and Ken say. His chi is....demonic, or that's how they describe him." Suzanne then rubs her face. "It's really hard to describe, Shiva. I'd have to show you, and I don't think you want to be the target of what I'm going to do."

Lady Shiva has posed:
That catches her attention. Shiva looks over the woman more closely, scanning that chi again. "I am unafraid but if you wish to demonstrate in some other way, I would like to understand."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne ponders, then looks towards an alley. "This way." She says as she leads Shiva into said alley.....and actually finds a metal trash can. "Mmm...I suppose that'll do."

Lady Shiva has posed:
Shiva follows a few paces behind. She looks to the trash can then to Suzanne, waiting patiently. What the woman is going to do to a trash can is anyone's guess. She can't even begin to figure it out so she waits.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne doesn't take too much time to center herself, and it's obvious when she does. Her chi changes to a more aggressive aura, and she takes a strange stance, cupping her hands behind her. As Shiva watches, the chi can be seen, starting at a point of light, and gets bigger as Suzanne concentrates. Then Suzanne throws her hands forward....

"HADOKEN!"

A small comet can be seen flying from her hands and into the trash can, which explodes from the impact. And only then, does Suzanne come out of the stance.

"That's what I mean, Shiva." Suzanne looks to Shiva with that.

Lady Shiva has posed:
Shiva watches the focus, the way the chi centers at her hands then rushes outwards in a visible blast of power. It is something she had seen but it is not something she has chosen to pursue. Perhaps that is egotistical of her but she prefers the purity of hand-to-hand without resorting to such tactics. It is simply a choice she made long ago. "These are the types of skills Akuma and the others use?" she asks simply, walking over to examine the trash can more closely. Well, what's left of it.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Ryu is more of a master of Chi focus than I am. So his Hadoken, depending upon his focus, can become more powerful. Anywhere from a low level blast that is slow moving, to veritable beams of varying sizes and power. Ken is more of a master of the Shoryuken, or Dragon Punch. Depending upon his focus, it can go from a short hop with an uppercut, to his fist being covered in flame and causing a column of fire to revolve around his. Akuma is.....a lot more sinister. He's developed teleportation techniques and more. Including use of a forbidden technique that drains your power and life force."

Lady Shiva has posed:
Just as quickly as she was interested, Shiva now dismisses Akuma from her list of possiblities. Not out of self-preservation. He simply has nothing to teach that she actually wishes to learn since he taps into this type of power. She turns from he can and looks to Suzanne. "I thank you for the information. This is an interesting type of focus but it is something I have no interest in learning."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Good, because it's an inherently evil sort of technique. The forbidden technique is called 'The instant Hell Murder', or that's what it translates to. You didn't seem evil to me." Suzanne then leads her out of the alley.

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Evil. Good. Labels that have no meaning. I am. It is that simple." Shiva follows her out, returning to the sidewalk in front of the outdoor tables. In essence, Suzanne is right. Shiva isn't evil but she is amoral and tends to do things that some might consider evil. It's an unusual line of differentiation.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"They do to me, Shiva. You helped those people at the party, even though no one asked you to. though, you were in trouble at the time as well....that's the difference of it." Suzanne seems to find good in SHiva, even if it's a little skewed.

Lady Shiva has posed:
"I elminated an enemy who would have shot me for refusing to cower on the floor like an animal." There is a faint snort from Shiva. "There was nothing heroic. It was centered around self." She glances away, her attention wandering to the task at hand later in the evening. Another false master to seek out. Perhaps he will live, perhaps not. She looks to Suzanne. "Thank you for the demonstration and information but I need to depart." Otherwise she'll miss the closing of the dojo she's heading for. She wants to catch him as he shuts the doors.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"OKay, -I- consider it heroic, Shiva." Suzanne says softly. "Goodbye, Shiva. I hope you find what you're looking for." She says as she gathers her pizza and heads down the street....
