Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Alfred Pennyworth, Robin (Wayne), Batman

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
For once in the Bat-cave it's not night when alfred comes down here to check on the noise of frantic typing. His footsteps echo out the stairs as he walks down to the main level, a tray of food in his hands. More cookies, and a bit of milk.

5t The sounds of bats in the far distance quietly echo about as far off they live their own lives screeching and flying. Their sounds are a distant call, a memory lost to time still playing out over and over with such regularity that often it's not noticeable in the first place.

Their siren song comes to a close as time draws on, and Alfred sets foot on the bottom step. His expression is a rather flat one as he looks right over towards that familiar super computer, a situation he'd seen a thousand times before. "You know Master Damian, at least when your father does this he has the respect to use only one pillow for the body double." Moving over to set down the tray in a single fluid motion. "Makes it easier to do the cleaning."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian had sat himself down in front of the Batcomputer, looking up information on Batman's past victories in Gotham, especially ones associated with his own mother. Dressed in casual shorts and a shirt, keeping his right leg bandaged and elevated. "So you'd rather me set up a ruse that you'd know is false? I figured that not having a decoy would be easier for you." He says, clicking quickly on the computer, pulling up more information, before looking to the tray, and grabbing that glass of milk, taking a drink.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred makes his way up to the chair which happens to be far too big for the young Master Damian. He sets down the tray of cookies and milk right beside the chair, and then falls back into a more butlery stance. "I'd prefer not to have to re-apply the stitches in your leg, just because you wanted a bit of telly."

Alfred looks over towards the monitor with a bit of vague interest. While others may have seen the heroic exploits of one of Gothams Exploits Alfred simply saw all the countless hours of stitches, casts, resetting bones, and trying to take care of a man who'd seemed intent on self destruction. "Unless you enjoy being on the operating table of course." Spoken in a somewhat dry manner.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"I just..." He quickly quiets, unsure he actually wants to say what he had meant to say. "It's not television, I'm trying to learn the other side of the story." He wants to know more about Batman, other than what Talia had told him, he didn't know much.      Another drink of the milk provided by Alfred and he continues looking. "I just didn't want to be up in the room, not after last night." The boy had trouble getting to sleep, not that he would ever admit it.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Silence from alfred as the milk is taken, eyes falling back on the young boy sat in the swivel chair that he'd helped Master Bruce pick out once upon a time. Of course back then he didn't exactly know it was going to be used for an underground supercomputer, but these things had a habbit of fitting back together.

Finally Alfred speaks up after a long silence. "You know he used to be the same way." Spoken in a calm and reassuring manner. "To an extent he still is." Trailing off he lets out a bit of a chortle for just a moment.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Green eyes search around the screen, swiveling back to look at Alfred. "As reassuring as that would make a normal son..." Of course, Damian could only see points of contention, where he and his father would continue to butt heads.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"Yes, completely alien for a father son relationship." Spoken with a thinly veiled sarcasm, as Alfred gives a very feint smirk. Soon after he returns right back to that stoicism, that's made him an iconic member of the family for so long.

"Just give it time master Damian, and I'm sure you two will get along like two bats in a bell-free." Two seconds pause. "Admittedly you're already screeching at each other so I don't suppose it's that far a stretch to say you've come pretty close to that already."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian slowly sighs, closing the pages to some of the windows. "How's..Grayson?" He asks, almost ashamed at even showing he had a vested interest in how his adopted brother had been doing. The boy felt a strange sense of loyalty to the elder Robin, nothing he had really had before with another person.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"Master Greyson is stable." Two seconds pause. "For the time being." Another pause from Alfred. "At current rate of recovery I'd give him a few days before he's back up and fighting at full capacity." He adjusts the cuffs of his suit, being as reassuring as he can.

"Not sure I could say the same if you hadn't have brought him when you did." He pauses for a long moment looking up at the flashing lights of the monitor. "Good work."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The news of Grayson's recovery made Damian let out a slight sigh of relief. For some reason the boy just had wanted to make sure that everything was alright. Then he's given the two words he hadn't known he wanted to hear so badly: 'Good job'. The youngest Wayne was stopped in his tracks, looking up at Alfred, he looks less angry and sullen. "T-thank you, Pennyworth." He offers, shutting down what he was doing on the computer. He's said thank you before, but the level of sincerity in his voice would be distinctly different than he had been in the past.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred is silent for a moment, before just patting Damian on the shoulder. "You're welcome Master Damian." A small smile comes across Alfred's face as he stands there for a moment. "You're very welcome."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The injured teen stands up after a moment, leaving the computer on standby. "If the newspapers are going to start calling me a Robin, I need to look the part, Pennyworth. My uniform was beat up in the last encounter with those Hellborn." He offers, having read the article in the paper already.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"I suppose I could find something in your size." Alfred starts off as he walks a bit away from the computer, grabbing back the tray of cookies from the table. The second glass of milk on the tray has remained untouched for all this time of conversation. Condensation collecting at the bottom of the glass. The cookies thankfully have cooled quite a bit by now as well.

"Though I do believe it would be up to someone else." Spoken out towards the darkness for a moment, as he looks up towards the cave off into the distance. His shoes clatter out against the hard floor as he moves a few steps away from the chair with tray in hand.

Batman has posed:
It was near early morning when Batman returned to the cave again this time in the Batmobile. He had marked another three people off the list, the list he wrote down as soon as he got home that day. He thanked Domino for her help, and if it was worse might of used her to get out of there, but he remembered each face and if the cops did not find them... Batman would. So he had been doing his patrol running down leads catching these people that escaped turning them into the police, and even several a night though it had kept him busy.

Though this chase he did alone, leaving Damian behind again, and he wasn't around very often indeed, the 'father figure' is a machine... almost no sleep up in the morning to do his work, and all the other things he goes through the day until it is time again to chase them down on patrol. He had a strict schedule that he kept all the time, including training Damian.. which he had planned to do earlier tonight, though had stayed out as Batman for too long into the morning.

As he exits he makes his way towards the Batcomputer.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"Yes, I guess that is correct." Though after the encounter yesterday he wasn't sure exactly what Batman would think about it all. Damian limped away from the chair in front of the Batcomputer as Batman had started approaching. He gave his father a wide berth. "Father." He said, looking up at Bruce, knowing he had most likely heard about the encounter Damian and Dick had with the Hellborn.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"Ah, Master Bruce, right on schedule." Alfred states calmly, offering out the tray of cookies and milk in his direction. The elderly man is calm and collected with a distinct refinement as always.

And yet there's something bothering Alfred clear as day to the caped crusader. His stoicism unable to hide the truth from the worlds greatest detective.

Though the tells are very subtle in deed they are there hidden beneath it all, ready for the keen eye to spot and call out. Even as Alfred holds out the tray.

Batman has posed:
Batman walks past Alfred taking neither milk nor cookies, he doesn't say anything but he gives a sigh as he passes so you know that he knows there is something your going to want to 'talk' about. Though he doesn't say anything about it yet as he moves to the BatComputer sitting in the chair, and pulling back his Cowl he looks at the computer seeming not to notice the limp, though he didn't start typing right away he just pauses before he finally speaks up.. "Alfred is your problem about him?" asking Alfred first as he had heard something happened with Nightwing, and how much Damian hung out with him anymore he had guessed Damian had a part of it.

He then starts typing marking off five more faces from the list as he waits listening for the response, though he will ask, "Has Cass returned my message yet?" slipping a little of buisness in there before they went on about what he hoped was not an arguement.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian kept back, watching what Batman was working on. The boy was patched up on his right leg. He stood away from the computer and Alfred, guessing what was going to come next in the conversation.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred sets the tray back down onto the small side board where it usually goes uneaten until long after he's left the room. It was tradition at this point for him to make Bruce food only for it to go completely cold before ever even being looked at.

"Young Master Damian and I have already had a discussion as it stands." Alfred starts off. "Master Greyson was in quite the state last night," A light breath before he carries on. "and were it not for Master Damians quick thinking I fear I would not have had the skill to save Master Greyson."

There's a distinctive tact to each and every word spoken from the mouth of Alfred as his stance remains one of proper poise, and gratitude. However he does motion over towards Damian with one motion of his hand.

"Miss Cain was here for the majority of the night, we had only just finished breakfast when young Master Damian here cought my attention fresh." He pauses for a moment. "She was here when the two young masters arrived."

Batman has posed:
Batman frowns a bit, and glances at Damian's state.. "Well you need more training so you can do it without getting injured." turning to type on the computer again. Finally he speaks up again, "You know the fighting, and injures are part of doing this. If he wants to do this these are the risk we take. Though I am glad he is okay, I am not done training Damian.. as he knows."

He looks at Damian again this time with that stern face he watches him carefully, "You are not at your prime yet so you need to take that into consideration into your plans. If you take too much damage the growing procedure maybe interupted." he pauses looking back at the computer frowning.. "You do not wish to be that short forever do you? I am not saying do not save him.. I am glad he is okay, and would of done the same." he pauses letting it sink in, "I am not a growing boy..." he finishes shortly turning to face Alfred.. "Is there anything else?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
A glint of reflection in Damian's eye precedes his next statement. "He saved me, from getting my leg torn off. And he risked himself, for me." Damian leaned against the railing, looking directly at Bruce. "I...couldn't leave him there. Not after that." A moment of catharsis before he retorts again. "And I haven't hit my growth spurt yet!" He sure drinks enough milk and keeps his nutrition at optimum levels, Bruce hit a bit of a sore spot. "I can do more than lift my own weight around here right now, Father. I carried Grayson a half mile to get him here."

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred goes silent as the two speak back and fourth. For all Alfred may have seen himself as Bruce's father the fact remained that he wasn't. Right here and now these two needed to work out their differences together.

Alfred takes up the tray and glass of milk once more, wiping the tray clean with a single rag from one of the many pockets of his suit. A sudden focus on the task at hand as he gets right into the nitty gritty.

Finally Alfred speaks up again. "And yet when you were....." trailing off as he reminds Bruce of his own past with just a single passing comment while doing his work to dust the keys and clean up the tray. "I seem to remember having the exact same conversation with someone else in the family."

Batman has posed:
Batman first looks at Damian and shakes his head falling into silence he actually leans back in his chair before he speaks. "I am not saying you should of left him.. If you did leave him I do not know if I would of taken you back in or not." he looks over at Damian he is very serious with that. "I am saying that Nightwing should of reconized the situation before you jumped into it, and had some plan for when it did start so even if injured you could of came back with listen we knew it was bad, but here was the plan. Not we didn't know what we were stepping into." he sighs, and gets up from the Batcomputer he moves over to the print out area waiting for some information to be proccessed then printed out. "I do not blame you for that, your training is not completed, but from now on you are not to go out with Nightwing again unless I okay it personally."

He falls back to silence again letting that sink in, but glances over at Alfred after he speaks up. "I was not his age when I started as Batman, nor did I have a whole Bat-Structure in place." he looks at Damian, but continues to talk to Alfred. "I made mistakes when I first started, and was about half the size, but because of that people died that did not have to.. I let down others that now knowing what I know I would not of.. I do not want Damian to have those regrets as he becomes older.. I want him to know he is just started, and it takes time to become a Bat."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian lets out a sigh, not knowing how to deal with his own anger very well. "The plan was, he was showing me how you do things, he was /helping/ me to..." A slight hesitation, keeping the obvious answer silenced for now. ". And I let one of those things grab my leg it was a mistake, one I don't plan on letting happen again. But rest assured, I'm going back out there, once this heals. You can't force me to stay like a dog." The boy said, the passion and fury of his anger behind those words. The young assassin started to head towards the training area, feeling the need to take his frustrations out on a punching bag.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
"Master Bruce." Alfred mentions once Damian has walked barely out of earshot in a quiet tone. "The boy clearly wants to emulate his father." A pause as Alfred attempts to place a hand on Bruce's shoulder. "Perhaps it would be a better solution for the two of you to spend quality time together instead?"

Alfred still ever the stone face. "I would personally recommend a game of catch on the front lawn, or perhaps full contact judo as that's more your speed." A light bit of humor added in as Alfred attempts to deadpan and lighten the mood somewhat.

Batman has posed:
Bruce glares at Damian. "You will not stay like a dog? How can I trust you if you will not do what is asked? How can I know when we are out there that when I say jump you will just jump other then come up with some line about how you don't do tricks then get hurt again?" he shakes his head, "No you will stay till you are healed.. then when I think you are ready again you will go out. I wasn't going to keep you inside, just away from Nightwing until I am sure he learned from his mistake, but now. Now I think you have been around him for too long." he turns and looks at Alfred again moving away from the hand as soon as it touches. "No Alfred this is an important decision he must make... alone."

With that he turns and starts walking away from both of them tearing out a paper from the computer as he moves away quietly. He stops at the elevator door that goes up to the house, "I am the best chance you have to make it out there at night, and I want to help you since it is your choice to do so, but if you want to learn you need to follow my lead. If you thnk you are good enough to make your own decisions after you are healed we will see about that." he adds stepping into the elevator as he pushes the button. "School starts soon.. be ready for it because unless you start listening.. My part in your night life is over." as he concludes the doors shut taking him further up into the house.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian halts once his father starts retorting, listening through his own anger. "It's cause he and Pennyworth are actually around. You took me to the zoo because you wanted to test your own bodyguard." Then the school issue is brought up, that's another can of worms entirely...not one he wanted to dig into right now, just one light punch at the cave wall to ease himself.

Alfred Pennyworth has posed:
Alfred Clears his throat as Bruce walks out of the room, and sets himself down at the computer for a quick moment. Four quick keystrokes later and throughout the bat-cave Cats in the Cradle, begins to play over the speakers.

"Suppose I'll take care of the business of dusting the giant penny." A quick motion to snag up a duster from the desk, and a second motion before he's wearing a plain white apron to keep his nice suit from getting dusty. "Then maybe afterwords I'll see how far the apples fell from the tree out back." A light pause as he walks across the open floor feet clattering out against the darkness as he speaks in a quiet tone. "Not very far I'd wager, with current clues." As Damian retorts right back, he pauses in his stride.

He turns slightly on the ball of his heel, before walking back towards Damian with duster in hand. A quick step over. "Master Damian, your father can, I admit be bullheaded, but I know deep down that he means well. How about you two spend some time playing catch later?" A pause. "I know he'd enjoy the moment."
