- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Sometimes there are consequences to one's own actions. As the early afternoon hours start to settle upon The Dark Side Bakery, Nick ends up showing that even he can't avoid such a thing.
The rockstar is just as dressed down as the last time he was at the bakery. Hair pulled back, mostly tucked between his shirt and the backpack he is wearing. The ballcap does the rest to obscure the trademark locks and the neutral expression bordering upon a frown does the rest to maintain the distance between him and the wandering eyes of a customer currently making a purchase.
Pale eyes survey the inside of the shop, finding most of the tables and seats unoccupied. Must be a quiet time of the day.
- Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau hadn't been to the bakery in a few days, and usually tries to make his appearances closer to closing time, but Jack needed some fresh air so he'd driven out to the local park and let the mutt get some energy out. He pokes his head into the bakery looking around for anyone that might look like a health inspector before being savagely pulled into the AC by the dog who cares not for such trivialities.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh is behind the counter, setting up some fresh items for the afternoon, and cleaning up crumbs and the like as she goes. When the door chime goes off to alert a new arrival, she looks up and smiles to the man who comes in. The way he's dressed down - but looking much like he did the first time they met - she gives a little finger wave. "Hello and welcome back! It's nice to see you again." Not going to call out his name, because something tells her he's obviously trying to conceal a bit of his identity.
She's added a few new things since the last time he came by. New breads, the kolaches, and a couple new flavors of cupcakes. Sweet Tooth is still on display, as is Kiss of Death, so she likely rotates them out at the end of the week or some such. "Here for anything specific or do you want to look around?"
Soon as she says that, the door chimes again and she sees the dog before the owner. Though she does look up at Remy and shakes her head a bit. "You're lucky the health inspector ain't here... my head would roll at havin' a dog in the bakery.." Though this doesn't stop her from coming around to the front of the store, taking off her apron for good measure, and then going to give Jack some loving. "You're early."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Hey again!" Nick replies back to the store owner, eyes already looking over to the display. "So... my friend said the coffee was a success. So I got sent on a quest to get another bag of it."
Feeling something brush up against his leg during the sudden emergence of dog and owner, Nick initially steps away from the sensation. Glancing down to the source, the quasi frown he had melts away. "Oh hey there little guy." He greets the dog before his eyes follow the leash on up to the owner.
"Oh hey." Nick greets Remy. "It's been awhile."
- Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau chuckles, "We jus' tell 'im dat Jack is 'ere foh security reasons. He a trained elephant attack dog. Since he been coming around not a single elephant attack." He leans over and brushes a kiss agienst his lover's cheek as Jack is happily loved on. The Cajun then stands, offering to trade grips with Nick. "It 'as been. How's de superstar life treatin' yah?
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Since Shiloh is currently giving Jack attention, her own attention works backwards. Returning a kiss to Remy's cheek before she stands up straight herself and lets out a laugh. "Right. Cause we've been so lucky that no elephants have escaped the zoo or something." Giving Remy a wink and then she looks over to Nick. "Right. Your friend. The studio owner." And then Remy drops the ball by saying 'superstar life' to the other man. "I -knew- I'd heard your voice before. Now it all makes sense. And to think I'm catering to a celebrity..." She grins before shifting to move back behind the counter, washing her hands because again dog. "So...what can I do for you both?"
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
To the mention of 'superstar', Nick tilts his head down, turning his face to look away from the display, and the customer that had been up there prior. There's a general sense of a curious look going their way before the pup's presence steers it thankfully away from him.
The offered hand is taken, shaken, and released. "Well..." Nick starts, "...perks of the career are in between gigs you're technically unemployed but it's not frowned upon." He gives a slight shrug, "But. I'm still getting offers." He cracks a slight smile, "...one of which might require me to pick up fencing for a little bit."
As Shiloh picks up the pieces and assembles the puzzle together, he looks back over to her, giving a nod. "Well... technically at least two. Before he got the studio he was in the same line of business."
A look is given to the dog for his excuse. "Ah. So he's the reason why there are no elephants in the room to speak of?"
- Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins slightly, "Well if yah come 'ere foh lessons, Ah've 'eard rummors Shy isn't too bad wit' a blade." He says in a dry playful tone as Jack, realizing that the humans are done scraching him, heads behind the counter to lay down where someone can trip over him most effectively. "As foh bein' Early, figured if Ah get 'im some exercize Jack might sleep foh a while an' we c'n actually watch a movie... didn' count on 'im wearing /me/ out..
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Oh. Right. Nick mentioned coffee grounds. Shiloh suddenly remembers this and goes into the back for a moment before coming out with a couple of bags. They're labeled Death Wish Coffee and have a skull and crossbones in the center of the label. "I caught one of your shows in London a couple years ago. Just didn't recognize you without your stage look....and I didn't really think about the voice when you first came into the shop." She offers, setting the bags down on the counter by the register. "Anything else or just the coffee?"
This is asked though her attention does go to Remy for a moment. "Well. Seemed like a good plan. If you want, you can take him upstairs and get a nap in while I finish up down here. Maybe we can order in, watch a movie, and play Fend off Jack for a little while then." She smiles before going and grabbing a kolache, sets it on top of the display case, and then 'accidentally' knocks it to the other side and onto the floor. "Whoops."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
To the recommendation to try and get lessons from Shiloh, he glances back to see the woman disappearing to the back. He glances back to Remy, "Well. I think the production would be handling who gets hired for the training but... maybe as a potential sparring partner to make things more realistic? Assuming that actually happens. Casting can be fickle at times."
When shop owner returns, coffee and all, Nick nods as Shiloh mentions why she didn't place the voice earlier, "Yes, the out of context factor helps a lot with trying to avoid recognition. Also you just gave a very good reason why there is a stage look. To have a bit more separation from the public and private persona." He pauses, thinking about the person who tried rushing the stage last month, "Although...it's not a foolproof way to avoid recognition."
Looking to the coffee he smiles, "Well I might order something separately but for this one..." He pauses, fishing out a similar looking business card to one that was presented to Shiloh a few days earlier. Only with a different name on it: 'Michael Drago' .
- Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly at Shiloh's suggestion. "Actually t'ink Ah might do jus' dat. Yah got a dish up dar4e I can put some water in foh de idiot?" he asls gesturing to the dog who seems blissfully unaware he is being spoken about... or abstructing traffic..
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Just grab one of the shallow bowls, I'm sure he can drink out of them just fine. I'll put dog bowls on my list of things to buy next time I go shopping." Shiloh says this and then considers. "Maybe a crate too.." Then she's looking over at Nick and goes to ring up one of the coffee bags. She gives a total. "Give me an autograph and I'll throw in the second bag for free." It'd be free either way, but she may as well try to get something for herself while she's at it. Taking the card, she notices the name but says nothing and runs it. It goes thru just fine. "Well, there you go Mister Drago. Business all set with more coffee."
Jack likely snags the kolache on the ground soon as he notices it's there.
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick chuckles to the offer. "Sure. What would you like for me to sign?" Other than the card slip of course. When the card is handed back to him, Nick puts the card up.
- Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods and pinches Shiloh's butt as he slips into the back door to head up to Shiloh's apartment, lokely to do as she suggested and take a nap after hydrating the hound. He tosses Nick a two-finger salute and is gone...
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh thinks for a moment and then she moves to grab a sheet of blank paper from her printer and sets it on the counter along with a pen. "I appreciate it. I'm also really honored that you enjoy my shop. I think that's the most fan girling you'll get from me." Though, she's likely really trying to hold it in. How often can someone say they served someone they had previously seen in concert? "So. Cupcake?"
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Cupcake." Nick repeats, tone putting the inquiry into the affirmative as he takes the pen and paper. He looks to the blank surface in contemplation. "A separate order of course. One Sweet Tooth and a cup of coffee to go. Separate ticket of course."
The page is considered for a few moments before he leans forward, writing out something before finishing it with a flourish of a signature. Caping the pen, he turns the page around so Shiloh can read what was written.
'Wishing The Dark Side Bakery the best!
My favorite is the Caffeine Dream paired with a cup of coffee.
- Nick Drago'
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
"You got it!" Shiloh offers as she moves to box the single cupcake and then goes to pour that cup of coffee. It's the same coffee as he's just bought bags of - but she'll soon have to switch to the next flavor she has from the company. None the less, she brings everything to the counter and rings him up while reading his note and autograph. "Aww. You're so sweet. I'll have to get this framed and put it on display." Saying that with a smile as she tucks the paper carefully under the counter for safe keeping. Giving him a total so he can pay for his cupcake and coffee. "Are you going to see Wade? I can pack up a cupcake for him too."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
When Shiloh mentions framing it and putting it on display he nods. "Sound great! " He leans forward, "Maybe I'll be the start to your wall of stars." Well, the non Star Wars related one that is.
The suggestion is contemplated for but a second before Nick nods . "Great idea! Two of the Sweet Tooth cupcakes then."
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh actually beams a little when he mentions being the first on her wall of stars and she nods. "Well. If I ever get another famous person in, it'll be a good start." Saying this as she grabs another Sweet Tooth cupcake and puts it in it's own box. Adding that to the total - but she doesn't charge him for the cup of coffee - she gives the total and likely assumes he's paying cash. "Thanks for coming back in, Mister Drago. I truly appreciate it."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Well, being the type of clients frequent our break room, that's not necessarily an impossible thing to gain a few more for the wall. It's just a waiting game once the thought is planted." After all, Wade's arrival was not an immediate thing.
Nick meets Shiloh's expectations of cash payment with a few bills more than what was being charged for. "And it's a pleasure."
The items are gathered quickly, and before Shiloh can produce any change, Nick is gone.
