Date of Scene: 26 July 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Ahadiel, Doctor Strange

Ahadiel has posed:
The Sanctum Sanctorum is a pretty well-warded place. Most mystical beings would feel at least a little bit uncomfortable just dropping in for a visit. However, that's for just flying through the open skylight. If you're looking to just knock on the front door, that's not so bad... assuming you can find it.

However, Angela Davis, or Ahadiel as Strange knows her as, has been here before, or at least above it. Which is enough for her to know where to go, as she bears a curious looking squarish carry-all with her. Reaching the door of the Sanctum, the rather human-looking (for now) angel pauses, then knocks on the door.

Doctor Strange has posed:
In the middle of Angela's knocking the door pulls away from her hand, almost afraid of being touched again, quickly the heavy wooden door swings open. Inside she'll find a large foyer that opens into a larger main room with a chandelier that looks like pure quartz but enormous and intricate, appearing nearly clear as if ice. A pair of stair cases frame the room and decend upwards and yet off to the right, a lingering aroma, and unseen, unknown force, summons Angela towards the kitchen before a ghost floats by Angela's vision. The doctor himself floating by. "This way. Ahadiel. Come, have some tea and discuss what it is you've brought." He says before floating away, through the walls and presumably to his body.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela ahs and nods, "Alright then." She walks along, following the doctor... well, his astral projection anyway, as best as she can. Weaving through the Sanctum she does, if nothing else, follow the scent of the tea towards the kitchen. She takes her time, though, eyes glancing around as she is in someplace that, to her at least, is completely new. Which is a novelty by itself, truthfully.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Not to copy the current popular trends, but the Sanctum seems impossible, even to the angel, as she should have walked through the wall to the house beside Stephens by now, but still the Sanctum Sanctorum continues to stretch long halls and many doorways that lead who knows where.

Soon enough the kitchen with a small dining area, and windows that lead out to a -- farm yard(?) with Stephen standing up, wearing a blue gi with yellow ropes around the wrists and ankles again steps over towards Angela. "Hello again." He says with a faint bow he picked up during his travels.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela shakes her head a little at all the twists and turns, but the nice thing about being immortal is patience, which she has in droves. When she arrives, she returns Strange's bow, "Doctor." Then she smiles slightly, "I thought to offer a gift."

With that, she walks over to Strange, offering him the insulated container. It's actually rather mundane looking, the type of container you'd use to keep food warm while transporting it, more than anything else.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange steps up and reaches out for it, and then moves to the nearby island counter top and sets it down. "You shouldn't have. I am not so good at receiving gifts, as I never know how to repay the kindness." Stephen says, inviting Angela to stand beside him as he turns to focus on the box, always up for an adventure and curious beyond the normal man he begins to open the container.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela chuckles, "Well, perhaps I shouldn't have, but that just makes it more likely that I should." The angel grins, as the container is opened to reveal...

A carefully wrapped plate of chocolate chip cookies. She glances over at Strange as they are revealed, "I realize that they aren't exactly proper biscuits, but I didn't know you'd be having tea right now either." Her lips quirk, "And to be fair, it isn't entirely charitable, I'm experimenting on a new recipe and I wanted an honest opinion." Of course, why she actually brought them to the Sorcerer Supreme is another question.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen looks down at the cookies and they give him pause for a moment, allowing her time to speak but he does lift the plate out and smiles at them before setting it down on the counter after scooting the container away with his wrist. "That was awfully sweet of you."

He then picks up a cookie to take a single bite while moving the plate over to the table he was seated at and sits, where a second cup of tea is also waiting, presumeably for Angela. Stephen gestures with a cookie filled hand for her to sit and converse.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela laughs softly and takes a cookie herself, the cookies themselves... well, she hasn't been a baker for twelve thousand years, but these cookies seem good enough that it would be believable if she claimed as such. Then sits down across from Strange, and smiles towards him, "Well, you seemed to want to ask a few more things about me, as I could tell you had some questions." She then pours a touch of honey in her tea, stirring it before taking a sip, "So I thought I might give you the opportunity to ask, and allay some... misconceptions."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Things like, why are you on Earth if you aren't fallen or disgraced?" Stephen asks, lifting his cup to his lips and hiding his facial hair from the heavenly woman across from him. "Or why you claim to not care about your misplaced sword yet still bother with putting on the scabbard each and every day."

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela tilts her head at Strange, then laughs, her voice not as musical in this form, but still melodic. Then she smiles, "Why, Doctor Strange, you think only fallen or disgraced angels walk the Earth? We all have are parts to play in accordance with the Name. No, I'm not fallen, nor am I disgraced, though... well, disgraced isn't a good word to use." She considers, thinking about it. Then she shrugs and continues.

"I was, from my creation, an Angel of Vengeance, and I was very very good at it. Flaming sword and everything else. But, when I saw what humanity was capable of, the good and beauty they could perform, the faith that they could possess... I, well, had a change of heart." She hmms, and looks at Stephen, "So I was transferred to do other duties, namely to shepherd Creation. But I would keep a reminder of what I gave up to do so. Thus while my Superior took my sword, my scabbard was bound to me as a reminder of what I once was." Her smile is genuine as she looks at Stephen, "Despite what you might think, after three thousand years of my new job, I have no regrets."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"What does a keeper of humanity do?" Stephen asks this time lowering his cup and smirking at the womanly being so near to him answering his questions and yet as each question is answered more rise up and even more go unasked.

He takes another bite of his cookie as she responds and he seems to have issues with removing his attention from her eyes.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela hmms, "In my case, I watch after artists, and their creations. To make sure their beauty isn't lost in the world." She smiles a bit, nibbling on her cookie as she then takes another sip of tea, "Not as important as watching an entire dimension from invaders, perhaps, but no less vital either. The glory of Creation should be allowed to blossom."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Artists..." Stephen says to himself, lifting his hand to his chin and tapping softly as he thinks this over. "I would not be under your charge then. So, why the interest in me?" Strange asks, sounding narsissistic and not meaning to, but he at one time had an ego to rival many of the gods.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela snickers, "Hey, you summoned me first. Not many sorcerers would have that audacity, even if they /are/ the Sorcerer Supreme." Which is true. Angels are notoriously tempermental about serving something other than the Name.

Then she looks back at Strange, "Though, if you must know... well, after existence for twelve thousand years, one does tend to look for things that are.. unusual. And the past few decades with the rise of all these heros in spandex and capes, it's proven to be an unusual time."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Yes, I did summon you, but that was in that instant, you and I both know summoning spells are quite temporary." Stephen says, his gaze shifting as he's implying that she herself chose to come today and that is what he's most curious about in this instant. He does agree that it is an unusual time, but magic. His forte. That's nothing new, that's been around for a long time, and will continue to be around long after he's gone. "Thankfully, I'm not quite as silly as many of those tights wearing vigilantes."

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela snorts, "That, is very true. It seems almost to be a game in a way with them. I don't know, perhaps I just don't have the proper perspective." She smiles a touch, "The fact that you have a much higher profile than is normal for the Sorcerer Supreme is a bit unusual by itself, no?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"It is unusual, yes." Stephen says, standing up and moving his chair around the circular table until it's nearly touching Angela's and he sits back down, and a motion of his wrists and the tea slides across next to him again. "I'm unusual enough for an angel to take interest in me. I take that as a compliment."

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela grins, "Well, you just had these... misconceptions about what I was. It was, well, a little distressing, honestly." She shrugs, not sounding offended as she sips from her tea, glancing over towards Strange, "I'm not /that/ kind of angel. A fallen one, that is." She winces a bit at the thought of that.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"You understand, preconceived notions and all that. I apprecaite you coming by and clarifying for me. Ahadiel, you are a unique creature, and welcome in my house any time." He says, his hand moving to find hers and touch, even slightly.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela blinks at the contact, then smiles wryly at Strange, "Why, thank you Doctor." She looks mildly amused, for some reason, and for a moment seems less an angel and more of a woman. Albeit a very long lived one, as she gives Strange a curious glance, mainly waiting to see what he says in response.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange nods his head once and then smirks at himself. "How rude of me, you are my guest. Is there anything I can do for you Ahadiel?" He doesn't move to get up, or even move his hand from touching her, he maintains the contact as she's not pulling away he's just as curious as she.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela looks down at the hand, then looks at Strange, "Alright, /why/ do you have my hand there?" She arches a brow, regarding the sorcerer with a puzzled expression, "While I do appreciate the invitation, and would like to know you better, that is... curious, to me."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen looks down to their hands, his on top of hers and then he gives a thought to her question and shrugs inwardly and leans forward, lifting his other hand to her cheek and presses his lips to hers. If she'll allow.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela actually backs up at that, "Um... what?" She looks more than a little puzzled at the sudden kiss, then chuckles softly, "Doctor Stephen Strange, I... do not think you understand me just that well yet." She slips her hand away from the sorcerer at that point, looking, well, she doesn't look upset. More likely confused, and a bit cautious, as she rises to her feet, taking a step back.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Forgive me." Stephen says, recoiling as well and nods. "Not, but I desire to understand you." Stephen stands as she does, but too takes a step back and moves his hands behind his back, clasping there. "I acted out of turn." He says softly.

Ahadiel has posed:
Angela hmms, "I've been on Earth for twelve thousand years. Thinking I'm some... naive waif who needs to understand humanity with a one-night stand is... almost as insulting as being mistaken for one of the Fallen." She gives the sorcerer a curious expression, as if judging him standing there, then she says, "You did act out of turn, and I do forgive you for that. However, if you want to know me, you should start with something that would work with a mortal woman. I'm pretty sure they would not have tolerated that, nor shall I." There's surprisingly little heat in Angela's voice, as she regards the sorcerer, "For now, I shall take my leave. I'm sure we will see each other soon." With that, she bows slightly again, as her host is the Sorcerer Supreme, then she turns and departs the kitchen.
