Cast of Characters: Shiloh Foster, Superman

Shiloh Foster has posed:
The bakery has been getting more and more popular with word of mouth spreading like wildfire. It's amazing what can happen after a couple music festivals as well and maybe some clever advertising here and there. Shiloh is, as always, keeping herself busy by sweeping the floor, wiping the counter, and clearing off tables after people leave. A few couples remain, talking amongst themselves and so Shiloh swings back behind the counter to wash her hands and make sure most things for sale are still good to go.
Superman has posed:
A little after 10 a.m., the door chimes as it opens. Most of the morning rush gone thanks to jobs that are 9 to 5, 8 to 4, etc. Clark stands there waiting. The dark hair a little disheveled, dull blue eyes look behind thick rimmed glasses, he wears a medium blue suit, with a red tie that presses neatly against a white button up shirt. He slouches when standing, looking shorter than he actually is. "Hello. It's either my first time, or it's been a hiccup since I was here last. What's good?" he asks softly when it's his turn to go.
Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Well, I'm the only one who works here and I don't recognize you... plus... we've only been open for about a year." Shiloh offers to Clark, a smile on her face. "That is a loaded question. My favorite thing here is either our Caffeine Craze cupcake or, our signature The Dark Side cookie." She'll describe them both, the cupcake being a dark chocolate and espresso cake with coffee icing. The Dark Side cookie is a chocolate cookie with dark chocolate chunks and topped with a little sea salt. "Otherwise.. I mean you can get a sampler box and take a few things with you or... I mean, I'm bias because I baked them all so really..." Her English accent thick as she talks.
Superman has posed:
Clark smiles, "It was on my to-visit list, and I wasn't sure if I crossed it off. The career can keeps me busy," Clark says honestly. The smile placed on his face is genuine, honest and a little bit of mischevious. "I didn't mean to perplex you," he admits softly and honestly.

"I'll take a darkside cookie for sure," and then he nods for a moment. Noting the accent, "How long have you been in the area?" he asks honestly. "Yes, nothing with coffee in the cake today. I'm just in a different mood," he smiles soft.
Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Oh if it were that easy to actually perplex me I'd be in a hell of a tough spot..." Shiloh says this and then lofts a single eyebrow up. "A year and two months. Took two months to get all this set up and going..." Saying this as she goes and gets his singular cookie. "Well. If you're not looking for a coffee shot. I do have a Raspberry Dream which is just vanilla cupcake with rasperry couli filling... or... hmm.." She thinks a moment, popping a second cookie into the bag.

"Your accent deffinately isn't New York... you a stranger from another place yourself?" Asking as she looks over her pastries and such. "If you want something less sweet, I do have a couple ham and cheese bakes that people tend to enjoy."
Superman has posed:
Clark genuinely chuckles as he looks at as Shiloh addresses his concerns pretty quick. Then he nods about the Reaspberry Dream. "I like that idea," and then he looks at her, "Yep. I grew up in teh midwest. My accent comes from there," Clark smiles as he is honest. "Work took me here. I don't mind less sweet, or sweet. I just don't want coffee right now," it's one of the rare times. He looks over everything slowly. "What got you into baking, if you don't mind my curiousity?" he asks softly.
Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Always liked working in the kitchen. Spent most my life playing there than outside and such. Got told I wasn't half bad at coming up with recipes so I put myself through school... baking and culinary - actually." Shiloh points to her two degrees that hang on the wall along with her licensing and such for her business. "Did alll that across the pond. Family issues is what made me come to New York and set up shop." Which is all she's really willing to supply on that front. "Right. We'll get you a couple cookies, couple cupcakes and a couple savory bits. That way you'll have lunch and a few treats..." Which he now has enough to share with a certain other person if he so desired. "Can I get you anything else Mister...?"
Superman has posed:
Clark doesn't pry about the family issues. "Well, you should be proud of yourself. Going from a simple kitchen to one you own, people like myself will travel to it when they're in the area," and he nods in agreement with the selection. "I'll trust the owner," he gives a soft smile. He's willing to trust Shiloh since she would know her product best. "Got any plans for expansion?" Clark wonders. He does wonder if she wants to move forward.
Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh beams a little more in that moment. "I am. Quite proud of myself." She offers this and then blushes at his tucked compliment. All of the things are brought to the register, packed up neatly in a slightly bigger box to make it all easier to carry. A total is rattled off, but it very much likely sounds a bit cheaper than what Clark should be charged for everything. "Expansion? Maybe. I've thought about buying part of the building next door...or maybe just looking around for a bigger space entirely. I really lucked out with this spot though. Cause it already had everything I needed, plus an apartment upstairs that I live in."
Superman has posed:
Clark pays for the goodies and he visbly waits. "If you gouht the building next door, what would you do?" he asks. "Would you do the same things or a lean a little bit more one way than another? Like savory instead of sweet. Or maybe a coffee shop vibe?" Clark asks as he's curious. "I'm a journalist. I always asks questions," he admits softly and gives a genuine smile. That explains why he's always willing to strike up a conversation. Not let a question be simple.
Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Honestly, I would love to expand to making more sweet and savoury items. Though I'd probably have to hire a person or two..." Shiloh says this much and then gives a little laugh. "I'm not bothered by the questions, I like it when people take an interest, even if it has underlying purposes. I mean if this bakery wound up in an article in a newspaper think of all the business I would attract..." Especially if this one reviews the treats and gives her a glowing recommendation. That may be putting the cart before the horse, however. "I mean I like the simplicity of what I have now, but to be able to expand the menu would be amazing."
Superman has posed:
""Can you afford another person or two?" he asks her softly a look goes toward her for a moment. Just taking in the small space for a bit. Just curious to see how it all works. "I could always do an official review." He just figures it's a thing he can do to help the place step out. Hopefully, it would help Shiloh get one step closer to achieving the dream of expansion. Those dull blue eyes look at Shiloh unsure how she would like that idea.
