Synopsis:	Remy teaches Jubes the basics of card counting.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks a bit as he shuffles the deck of cards again, shaking his head. "It really is jus' basic mat' chere." He quickly deals four hands of blackjack with himself in the "Dealer" position. "If it two t'rough six, yah add one. If yah see a face card, ace ot ten, yah subtract one. Ignore seven, eight, and nine. If yah total is positive yah bet 'igh, if it negative yah only bet de minimum."

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee makes a face as she looks at the hands dealt. "So this one being a six and a three, totaling nine, but you ... add one to each so it's seven plus four which is eleven...and...so I'd bet the minimum?" Then she looks at the cards in front of her. An ace and a three. "So this would be a two total, given what you told me just now, and so for this one I'd bet high." She blows a bubble from the ever constant gum she chews on and fiddles with her pink shades pulled up to rest on the top of her head. "Right?"

Remy LeBeau headshakes slightly, taking his time to point from hand to hand. "Six and t'ree is +1 and +1. Yah got 2. Seven is not'ing and four is +1, so yah at t'ree." He gestures to the other two player hands "9 an' ten, Minus 1. 7, and 8. Adds not'ing, an de dealer showing a king, so minus one. So yah running coun' is +1 an' yah bet high." He says even as he scoops up the cards and shuffles again. "Now dis very basic card counting. anyone know what ta look for gonna catch yah in just a few 'ands... but yah average collage Casino night? Yah walk out wit' yah tuition.

"How'd you learn to count cards like that?" Jubilee asks out of curiosity while watching him shuffle cards. "Why would people be watching for card counting. If it's just basic math... wouldn't most people catch onto something like this eventually?" Fingers tap on the table in some idle fashion while she blows and pops another bubble before continuing to chew. "Also, why aren't you out roaming the city trying to scoop up some flirty thirsty to bring home?"

Remy LeBeau looks amused. "Somet'ing Ah picked up in mah misspent yout'." He says with mild amusement. "Believe it or not a Romani Princess taught me while we were 'iding in a secret room under de floorboards of a Scottish Castle while we was waiting foh de 'eat to die down because dey were undah de impression dat we stole a giant pink diamond." He does that one handed triple cut and sprays the cards from one hand to the other before dealing out a fresh set of hands. "Remember yah starting at Plus 1 now. And aren' yah a lil young ta be worring about Remy's love life?"

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee raises a brow. "Just making conversation...and I'm pushing thirty...so it's not like I'm a silly teen." Pointing that out while she looks at the cards on the board. Eight and two, so eight is nothing and the two is 1 so the count is +2. Seven and nine keeps the count there. Dealer shows a king so minus one putting the count back at 1 and then another king and ace out puts the count at negative one. Or so she thinks. "Count's at minus one, so this bet would be the minimum."

Remy LeBeau smirks a little bit, "Lies an' deceit. Yah nevah gonna be older den ade cocky lil Mall Rat Stormy, Jean, an' Ah rescued all dose years ago.." He says with a smirk nodding his approval as she tallies up the totals quickly and accurately. "Anyway ta answer yah ot'er question, Casinos an' people in general don' like it when yah win too much. In mos' places card counting not illegal an' breaking a body's kneecaps is. But dat not stop dem from frowning on de first and doing de second.

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee gives a giggle and then shakes her head some. "Years still pass whether you like it or not..." Commenting that before listening to him talk about how casinos hate it when people win a lot and when it's from counting cards. There are consequences. "I think I like my kneecaps in tact... so maybe we'll just keep this between us. I'll win all the money off you any day." Then she looks around and leans back in her chair.

The Cajun chuckles a bit, "Oh Ah expect some cosmic event come along an' fix t'ings eventually. After all Ah've been ta one of mah best friend's funeral's t'ree times, one of den before 'er wedding. Pretty sure some force reset de world an' put yah back below de drinking age soon enough."

Jubilee has posed:
There's a joke here. Something Jubilee could open the door wide open for the Cajun to walk right into and through. She won't do it though. "Actually, that'd be nice. It'd be good to be young again." Is all she says while looking the cards over once more. "Anyway. I should probably go get some chores or something done... thanks for the lesson, Remy. Like I said, I'll be glad to take all your money anytime you want."

Remy LeBeau slides up the cards and makes them seemingly vanish with a little slight of hand. "Any time petie. It nice ta be able ta pass some of mah tricks on to someone foh a change." He says leaning back and smiling.
