| Synopsis: | Lois and Clark are a few days into a vacation. Lois finally accepts slowing down. |
| Cast of Characters: | Superman, Lois Lane
|
- Superman has posed:
Clark floats off the ground to not wake up Lois. Also, it can be a little faster than walking. Well, walking without using speeds that would cause issues.Neighbors would complain if his feet ran across the floor at super speeds.
The morning light pours into the few curtains open in the apartment. Clark begins the coffee like normal. Just letting the smell of the fresh brew slip into the place with each passing moment. Those sky blue eyes just take in the place and he'll blur to do a little pickup. Nothing gets too distubed like this and Clark nods with content. Ma would be proud.
Afterwards, he floats onto the couch just to relax for a few moments.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane stirs as the coffee begins to permeate the air and fills the apartment with it's scent. After a few moments, she slips out of bed and into her slippers and robe before shuffling out of the bedroom and towards the kitchen. It may not have been that messy, but Lois can always tell when Clark has tidied up and so there's a soft smile on her lips as she rounds through the kitchen and into the living room.
Coming up behind him on the couch, she'll drape her arms over his shoulders and kisses his cheek. "Thanks for tidying up..." She offers, still sounding sleepy, and then rounds the couch finally to sit beside him.
"You didn't do it because you feel guilty about last night, did you?"
- Superman has posed:
A soft smile pulls at Clark's lips as Lois approaches from behind. Then he nods, "I was just trying to give you one less thing to worry about today," he knew she wouldn't worry anyway. Still, he is trying to make the vacation like an actual vacation despite the hiccups. "What do you want to do today?" he asks softly looking back to her.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane shifts just enough to curl up on the couch next to him, her head on his shoulder. "First, I want to apologize for last night. I was crass and rude. And you took it like a champ." She says this much before her shoulder lifts in a shrug. "I want to do whatever you want to do. We did things for me the other day so..." Then she chuckles. "Though I have to wonder if there truly is anything on your bucket list, Smallville."
- Superman has posed:
Clark smiles and looks over to her, "I should make a joke about your turn of phrase," he winks. Then he gives genuine pause for that question. "I would need to think on it. I've done a few things off my bucket list with you, Lois," and he makes a point to use the first name instead of the last name. "I would need to think on that because I thought so many things were off the table. Then you walk into my life and then I find out humans are compatible with Kryptonians. So, that was a lot of my bucket list. Or at least, the first time I could think of a bucket list that didn't involve somehow going offworld," Clark chuckles and shakes his head at himself.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane gives a soft laugh. "Well think about it, Clark. Just... something you have always wanted to do. It could be anything, and I think I would be game. Theme park? Zoo? Meuseum? A park of some kind? The beach?" She lists a few things and then cuddles up against him a bit more. "This isn't just my vacation. It's yours too. I've come to realize that. So we should do something fun for you."
- Superman has posed:
Holding her close to him. "I've gone to beaches, but I do like going to them with you," Clark smiles at her and then he leans down to kiss her head. "Maybe a beach later? Some place semi-exotic?" he asks her softly as he holds her closer to him. Just happy to have a little bit of time with her. Even if they're doing nothing, it's nicer than fighting like they did last night.
- Lois Lane has posed:
"Semi-exotic, eh?" Lois leans up a little to look at him a little more directly. "Do you just mean somewhere that isn't in the United States or something like...a nude beach?" Asking this with a raised brow before giving a little chuckle. Then she cuddles up next to him again but this is just as she hears the coffee pot go off. "Mmn... coffee's ready...but this is comfy..."
- Superman has posed:
A blush ran through his face, "I didn't mean nude." Then Clark shakes his head a little bit, "And I don't think I'd be that great at a nude beach. I did mean exotic like far off location," although modesty laws do vary the further out one gets sometimes. That wasn't originally on the agenda.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane laughs a little. "I think you'd do fine at a nude beach. Especially if we found a sort of private nude beach..." Offering that much before she smiles. "Somewhere far away. I think I can get on board with that..." She offers that and then snuggles into him a bit. "So. Coffee?"
- Superman has posed:
A brow goes up at her words. "I think I learned more about your bucket list," Clark says blushing still. He'll battle the blush back a little bit. "I can get you the coffee, but you would need to let me up," Clark offers knowing she would have to move in order for him to get the coffee. He knows she may be very reluctant to pull away. "So, what about your bucket list?"
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane gives a little grunt of displeasure but then shifts back a little so he can, indeed, get up. "My bucket list?" She asks with a single eyebrow raising. "I mean... there's not really much on it I don't think. Get a good job. Check. Fall in love. Check. Have horrid arguments and then hot make up sex? Check." That last bit has her laughing a little. "I might need coffee to turn my brain on and think of more."
- Superman has posed:
Clark tries to ignore some of those compliments. The blush threatens to return, but he holds it at bay. Working his way through the kitchen, Clark readies her cup of coffee the way she likes it. Just something praticed motions from several times before. "For helping your brain wake up," Clark says softly as he floats into the room with her mug and his own.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane takes her mug from him and breathes in the scent of the coffee made just the way she likes it. "Ahh... brain juice..." This spoken softly as she takes a slow sip from the mug and then settles back in her seat a bit. "I guess if I really thought about it, most of the things on my bucket list are sort of touristy. Like I want to see the Eiffel Tower in person. Or the pyramids in Egypt. There's humanitarian things like donate so much money in total to a charity. Help someone change their life." Then she shrugs. "I've tried to keep sillier things off the list."
- Superman has posed:
"I would need to think about it because most of mine," Clark thinks on it. "People. Experiences. When you're an alien, you feel isolated from society, the world and everything else." A sad smile touches his lips for a moment as he remembers darker days. Then a smile starts to form at his lips, "And later on I find out, I don't need to feel -as- separated. It's nice. So, that's why my bucket list sounds kind of lame and unfinished," chuckling at his own admittance.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane nods. "That's sort of what bucket lists become. Plus, a lot of people tend to throw wild ideas like jumping out of airplanes and such. I don't need that when I can just have you fly me around..." This said with a soft chuckle. "So my bucket list got a lot....simpler...I just wasn't sure if there was anything on yours that we could achieve together. Sounds like we just need to take a trip somewhere." A pause so she can sip more coffee. "Eventually..."
- Superman has posed:
"That and you were practically doing that to get my attention," Clark points out that Lois is willing to risk her life for a story. Well, "take a calculated risk" as she put it once. A nod of agreement comes from Clark, "I can do a lot of things on a trip. So, I'm easy in that regard. Simple farmboy after all," he smiles. To him it's that simple.
- Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane seems to think for a moment. "We should get out of the apartment today I think. Maybe go see a movie, have dinner after..." Offering up this idea at least, perhaps to see what Clark says. She's really trying to embrace the whole vacation bit - which means she can do what she wants, when she wants. No need to push for a deadline.
- Superman has posed:
A nod comes from Clark, "I'll get in the shower then. It sounds like a great idea," he smiles softly. "I love you Lois," and then he begins to float off toward the shower. He's happy Lois is -FINALLY- appreciating the vacation. Yes, it took four days to get to this point. Maybe next vacation it will only take three. Either way, Clark is happy and he will be happy when it happens again.
