- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh is actually sitting at one of the tables in the bakery. Days like today when it's rainy outside, there's not a lot of foot traffic into the bakery, and she doesn't have any custom orders to work on. The bakery is cleaned to the point that Shiloh doesn't think there could be another speck of dust anywhere except some tiny and dark corner she's missed. Likely in the back. Sipping coffee, she flips through a magazine and ponders just closing down for the day to spend some time to herself upstairs.
- Superman has posed:
Clark walks up the street complete with a simple black umbrella. He's wearing a chocolate brown jacket and pants with a gun metal grey and white flannel like pattern shirt that's aprtially obscured by a black tie.
Whistling along the way, he just walks up toward that one particular bakery that caugth his eye. Water beats down on the umbrella until he makes it to the door. Shutting the umbrella, he spins it and then steps inside so he doesn't drip everywhere inside.
Clark smiles softly and gives a simple wave, "Hello."
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh looks up from her magazine as the door chimes, watching Clark Kent enter the building. She gives him a smile and a little wiggle-finger wave before standing up from her table. "Hey. Thanks for stopping in. Would you like some coffee to warm yourself up a bit?" Offering this as she steps behind the counter. "Wish mother nature would make up her mind, honestly...this whole hot, cold, wet, dry is killing business..." Then she shakes her head. "Sorry. So, ah, coffee?"
- Superman has posed:
"Yes. Please. I don't need it with so much add ons that it's no longer coffee, butfar from black. About chocolate brown color," Clark sometimes likes his coffee a little sweat. "Yes. Mother nature is...tempermental lately," Clark looks about with some concern. "Any specials today?" Dull blue eyes look about hopefully.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
"The unfortunate thing is when she is this way, especially rainy, I don't get much foot traffic." Shiloh offers this which had been a previous thought before but with a guest in house she can say it outloud. Going to make the coffee, she hmmms for a moment and then puts a little milk to make it a more chocolate color before putting about a spoonful of honey in.
When she turns back, she places the cup on the counter for Clark and then considers his other question. "Honestly, I could probably offer a reduced rate on just about anything. Or even do a buy one get one free deal for you. Everything is still fresh enough, but fresh shelf life is quicker than stable shelf life." If she's being totally honest.
- Superman has posed:
"Well, tell me some stuff you like and some fan favorites. You give me a deal, I'll walk out with a bit," Clark offers something to make it worth both their respective times. If she'll give him a deal then he will offer to take a bit. A smile on his face as hew aits to see if Shiloh would take the offered amendment to the deal.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh gives a bit of a forced chuckle and then looks around the offerings for a moment. "Well, there's the fan favorite cookie named after the bakery called The Dark Side...I think you tried that one last time you were here even. My personal, current, favorite is this new raspberry heaven... it's a vanilla cake with a raspberry compote filling and lavender icing. Everyone seems to also like the Electric Buzz...the name is still a work in progress, it's a chocolate coffee flavored cupcake. Then you have the usual sugar cookies, regular chocolate chip....and now I'm pretty much telling you the whole menu. Honestly. Pick out some things, we'll come up with a deal. I promise."
- Superman has posed:
"I'll take a few of them. Raspberry heaven, I'll take four of those," Clark just begins ordering a few things. Then he nods. "Three of those." he just begins a big ordered. "At least half the chocolate chips you have," and then he'll take the offered menu just looking over everything he could.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh begins to box/bag things up as he orders them. Cupcakes in boxes, cookies in bags, and soon there's a nice little stack for Clark to take home. It's all put into a bigger bag that will be easier to carry - cause it has a handle. "How's the coffee? I made it with a sweetner other than sugar. Should be sweet but not sickly and less calories." Saying this with a smile as she rings up half the items ordered and even then, discounts what she rings up. Manager's special or something. Then gives a total that seems well more than fair.
- Superman has posed:
"I'll order two of your cupcakes," he pauses for a moemnt and takes a drink of the coffee. Sipping slowly, he nods as the awrmth meets his insides and will cause that warmth to spread to the outside, like a good bowl of suop can do on a day like this one. "I don't mean to buy out everything, but I do work in a big office. I can take these back tonight, they'll still be good," Clark says with a soft smile. The dull blue eyes look at ehr curiously. "How has business been? How have you been?!"
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Oh please. If you buy me out that means I can shut the doors, finish cleaning up what little mess is left in the kitchen and head upstairs to my tiny apartment and just laze about for the rest of the day." Shiloh says, in full truth. As he takes a sip of the coffe, she smiles, and then motions. "Business has been good. I've decided to come out with one new flavor every month, and then at the end of the year the ones that sell the best by margin and proxy will be on the new years menu permanately. I've also inquired about buying the space next door and expanding a little bit...we'll see how that goes." A pause. "I've been alright as well. Thanks for asking. How about you?"
- Superman has posed:
Taking another sip of the coffee and he looks to seehow much is actually left of the inventory. He might actually do what she requested. "Will you keep the ones that do well?" he asks before taking a second sip. His eyes close and he nods. Clark remembers Shiloh talking about this last time. "It sounds like you have a sound business plan." He gives a soft smile.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
"Uhm. Well what you don't buy I'll take to New Hope Shelter here in New York. I have a friend who volunteers there so I take whatever I have left over every day to them. They may not have a lot but a treat a day keeps them smiling." Shiloh says this and then looks over everything. "But it's up to you. Take the lot or let me keep some for the homeless. Not to tug at your heartstrings or anything. You asked." She grins then.
- Superman has posed:
"Well, I do like the homeless being fed." Clark looks at her. "Will that cause you much work today?" Clark feels a dielmma because he does want Shiloh to have to have a lazy day. Then he thinks on it and nods. "I'll take it all. Why not?" As odd as it may sound, sometimes he does forget he's Superman. So, he could donate what there are no intentions to sue. Everyone wins.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh shakes her head. "No. Well. Just the time to take what's left down to the shelter. They know sometimes stuff won't come. Just means I'll bake a little extra tomorrow and set some aside so they're promised at least a bit." She says this and then blinks. "You can have the rest of it then. If it goes to the office, or to your home, or even some homless people it's all well in my book." So she begins to box up the rest of it.
- Superman has posed:
Clark's not even sure why he's doing it. Maybe this is just his way to spread a little happiness. Plus, Lois can just enjoy some treats and yella t him after that. "I'll give some of the things that don't get consumed by coworkers," he gives an assuring smile. His gaze looking over the sweets that ar rapidly disappearing from their currently resting spots. Dull blue eyes watch the numbers dwindle as time goes on.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Since the day started off raining, Shiloh didn't overwork herself loading up the trays. Knowing that she'd have a slow day. "I appreciate it. Really." Everything is now boxed, or bagged, and then placed into the bigger bag. "Well. Thanks so much for coming in." She then considers. "Did anything specific bring you this way?"
- Superman has posed:
"Work and the food," Clark says honestly as he starts to take his several bags. "The food will always be on the choice menu for me," he admits and then looks at her. "Word of mouth brought me last time. Experience brought me this time," he smiles. "I really enjoyed what I got last time," and that's just the pure truth to it. "Why do you ask?" he retorts, just curious.
- Shiloh Foster has posed:
Shiloh flushes a little red and then gives her head a shake. "Curious really. I'm glad you enjoyed the bakery and that brought you back a second time. I do hope to see you a third." Then she thinks on it a bit more and just nods. Like that's enough of an explanation for the time being.
