Synopsis: Dani and Alexia roomies? Heaven help us!
Thanks to: Alexia
Cast of Characters: Tendril, Moonstar

Tendril has posed:
Back to school you've gone, and after some interesting record modifications and such (so sorry, actually a clerical error, didn't graduate at all and CERTAINLY only 17, Mr. State Records Office), you're re-enrolled, and due to the kindness of several of the teachers they've chipped in to help you buy some clothes, since they're not sure where the rest of your wardrobe is. (Asgard, maybe?) Valkyrie armor looks neat, but maybe not comfortable for nightwear!

And of course, you've been assigned a room. Since it's summer, most of the residents of the second floor are on summer vacation or visiting family, so there aren't a whole lot around. But you've been added to room 27, along with another recent arrival.

You reach the door pretty easily, it's a bit adjar at the moment. You can faintly hear music playing inside.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani knocks lightly, then peeks in, "Hello? Roomie?" She looks around a bit curiously at the room, having... well, a small suitcase, and that's about it really. She travels light, nothing more than what can fit on Brightwind easily, much as he hates saddlebags. But now that the paperwork is dealt with, time to get settled and ready for the coming fall.

Tendril has posed:
There's no immediate answer, and as you push the door open, you can see why. The music is coming from a pair of earphones, currently being worn by a familiar-looking mauve skinned girl, who is currently wearing a t-shirt and boy shorts. And is very obviously lost in dancing like nobody was watching, her hips swaying as she holds one hand above her head, eyes closed, lips moving slightly as she mouths the words. Her other hand rests on her stomach as she puts some serious sway, one leg bent as she makes a sort of flicking motion with one hand, as if she's dealing out cards or something as to the beat of her hips.

Yuuuuup. She's completely oblivious to you having entered the room at the moment.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins as she recognizes the girl from the other day, and steps into the room, closing the door behind her. Then she walks past and sets her suitcase down on the bed, cracking it open to start going through a few things. She's not /too/ worried... Alexia will stop the music eventually, she figures.

Tendril has posed:
Sooner or later! Though you're treated to her bending forward, clapping, as she goes into a more active step from side to side, hands going out in a graceful motion then back in, as she continues through the routine. She actually gets all the way to where she's got one hand bent in by her chest, the other held out straight behind her, palm horizontal, doing a peculiar little stomp as she moves forward before her eyes are open, mostly to make sure shes' not about to bump into the bed....and she finds herself staring straight at you as you unpack.

Those gold eyes widen as she lets out a squeal, fumbling the headphones off, flushing. "Dani! H-how long were you standing there?!?" Her cheeks are a wonderful purplish color that's spread a bit down her neck as she reaches over to shut off the little iPod on its stand.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani laughs a bit, "Oh, not /that/ long. Not bad moves though, Lexi." She grins, "Though you should pay a little more attention when your new roommate comes knocking." She doesn't sound too judgmental, giving Lexi a wry expression, "I mean, if you don't mind, anyway... I didn't really know who else to pick."

Tendril has posed:
Lex pouts at you, a tendril sliding up from her arm to hook under the headphones to set them back on their stand, then perks a bit. "Roommate, really? Yay!" She says, grinning as she practically pounces on you, giving you a big hug as she lifts you up. "That's so cool! Yes, please! It's been kinda lonely in here." She sets you back down. "Oh! Ah, moment, let me clean out some drawers for you!"

She rushes over to the dresser, popping open the top drawers and starting to pull out stacks of shorts, shirts, underwear, socks...she seesm to have just stuffed them in where they'll fit, and promptly beings REALLY stuffing them to get them into the bottom drawers. "Ya can have the top to, I can do the bottom two, an' there's LOTS of room in th' closet..."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani oofs at the hug, and returns it, then she gets set back down and grins, "Sounds good to me. I don't really have much... it's, well, kinda complicated." Because it's the X-Men, or rather the students, and everything gets complicated eventually with them.

Dani then smiles, "Glad to see you're cool with it then. I really should have asked, but I didn't have much of a chance." She then packs her very neatly folded clothes into the top drawers, "Still need to get a few things, but yeah, got enough to get through for the moment."

Tendril has posed:
Alexia straightens up after firmly stuffing the drawers back in place. "Oh? Hey, ya can borrow anythin' of mine ya think would fit, like for sleepin' in or stuff?" she says cheerfully, waving it off. "No, seriously, it's awesome you're here! I've never had a roommate, so I'd rather have someone I know, ya know?"

She bounds back over to you. "What do you still need? Maybe we can grab somethin' before lights out for ya?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, "Well, I don't have a whole lot, but Mister Summers owed me a favor, so he took me out for a bit of a shopping trip in Westchester." She then gives Alexia a conspiratorial glance, "I kinda saved him from going splat the other night. It was... decidedly weird."

She pauses, then adds, "Oh, Alex Summers. Havok." She grins a bit, "Guess I should be more specific about that, huh?"

Tendril has posed:
She raises a brow at that, plopping down on her bed as she bounces a bit, leaning back on her hands as she kicks her feet a bit. "Oh? I hadn't heard that...seriously, he fell outta th' sky?" she says with interest. "Good thing Brightwind and ya were nearby then...I don't think I met him yet." she says thoughtfuly. "Or any Summers, I heard some other student talkin' about him though. What's Alex like, then?" she adds curiously, her gold eyes on yours.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, and sits down on her own bed, looking at Alexia, "Well, he's pretty cool. Strict but he's fair, and yeah, he literally fell out of some dimensional portal thing. I just happened to be nearby on Brightwind when... well, yeah, whoop." She shakes her head, "But yeah, it was pretty crazy, even by my standards."

Tendril has posed:
The other mutant girl reaches up to tug on one of her braids absently. "Is that his thing, portals like that?" she says curiously. "I thought one of 'em did like, laser eyes or somethin'...." she says curiously. "Well, good thing ya were there! Would have looked bad ta have a...teacher?" she says, questioningly. "Er, well, anyone goin' splat like that on the grounds."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani shakes her head, "Even doubly so, this was the Tomorrow Academy or whatever Frost calls her place." She makes a face, "Long story, that. But yeah, Scott Summers does the laser eye things, Alex shoots plasma blasts. Really powerful, not very subtle."

Tendril has posed:
"Oh right, th' thing Yana was talkin' about th' other day." she says thoughfully. "Huh. So he's a blasty guy, got it." She smiles. "So what was he doin' in another....dimension, ya said?" She leans foward a bit, watching curiously as she absently wiggles her top up a bit so she's not sitting on the back, letting it hang more freely. "Is that like a normal thing around here? Like th' guy who was dead but isn't dead not, but he's got some weird virus thing now?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, "Doug? He's a pretty cool... okay, no, he's pretty much a geek, but he's still cool. At least I think he is. I've known him a little while." She pauses, then shakes her head, "Still can't quite believe he's back among the living, you know?" Her head tilts a little as she looks over at Lexi, "I think the running joke in Valhalla is that mutants get a revolving door there, though."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi nods thoughfully, making a face. "Yeah, except he keeps forgettin' my name." she pouts a bit. "I mean, maybe he's just got a lot of his mind, I guess..." she admits, then smiles. "Oh, so this comin' back from the dead thing, it's a constant thing?" she says, a little uncertainly. "Is there like, a lot of accidents around this place?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani shakes her head, "Not really... but it just seems like the few times someone did die, which isn't often, and not at the school itself. Well, they get better, as they say." She looks a bit rueful at that, "Don't worry, if anything happens when I'm nearby, I'll make sure you get to a good spot." She sounds like she's... mostly kidding? Maybe?

Tendril has posed:
The other girl raises one of her silver eyebrows. "Is that a thing?" she says thoughfully. "I mean...knowing when someone is gonna die, an' takin' them to where they can...rest?" She smiles a little bit. "...I guess...if I had to...I'd rather go with a friend there ta guide me...' she says softly.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani hmms, "It's... not always accurate, but yeah, I can take people to the afterlife, if they died in battle." She smiles a little, "One of the perks of being a Valkyrie, though that's not really a perk so much as the job description." Her shoulders rise in a little shrug, not something she normally talks about too much.

Tendril has posed:
Lexi cocks her head a little. "That wasn't what ya could before ya went there, right? I mean...yer power stuff?" She rests her hands on her bare thighs as she leans forward. "We didn't really get a chance ta sorta exchange that sorta stuff...." she admits, smiling, her hair shifting slightly against her back. "Probably should if we're roommies, just in case somethin' goes weird with 'em."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani shakes her head, "Nothing too weird with mine. I mean, I can talk to animals, and... well, I can make a solid manifestation of someone's fears. It's an illusion, mostly, but yeah, I can make solid psychic images, if that makes sense." She smiles over at Lexi, "Don't worry, I don't do that lightly at all.

Tendril has posed:
Lexi huhs. "Just things they're afraid of? Not other stuff? She smiles. "That's kinda neat, actually." She kicks her a little bit. "Um..." she says, frowning as she works something over in her head. "...th' thing ya should know about me...I...get weird if I don't get enough ta eat." she says, a little embarrassedly. "My metabolism keeps burnin' even if I'm not puttin' anything in it, so...it starts chewin' at my body, burnin' calories...if I get too low, I start...losin' it, ya know?"

She taps her head, her gold eyes on yours. "LIke...I'm all instinctual. If that happens..." She chews her bottom lip a bit. "Just...toss food at me. Or...just...be careful, like you're talkin' to...to a strange cat or dog or somethin'." She looks down. "I'm not really thinkin', cuz...I don't know. I lose time sometimes when it's been real bad."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani blinks a bit, "Alright, I'll make sure to keep some high protein bars on me, just in case." She smiles over at Lexi, "Or did you have something else you prefer? What's the best thing for you when you get like that, Lexi?" She sounds genuinely curious, not judging at all as she looks more concerned than anything else.

Tendril has posed:
The other girl shakes her head, peering back up at you. "Nah, that's fine. Long as it's got calories. I always stash some in th' drawer, or my bag, or on th' shelf in th' closet....um, all over, kinda." She smiles a little and admits sheepishly. "I sorta raid th' fridge and cafeteria sometimes and brings stuff back up here too, they don't mind it too much. I'll try and keep it on this side of th' room though, k?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, "That's cool, long as I know. But I don't do any weird Nordic rituals in the middle of the night or anything, so no worries." She chuckles, and shrugs a bit, "Think we can maybe convince Yana to come up here? I didn't want to make too hard a sell, but... well, I would hope she wouldn't go to that Metropolis Academy."

Tendril has posed:
"Awwww, I was hoping there was, like, secret Valkyrie pillow fights or somethin'." the other girl teases. She hmms, looking thoughful. "...I'm...not sure." she admits. "I don't know what she's like yet. She seems really together, ya know? It would be neat if she wanted ta come here though, she seems pretty cool." She frowns. "I guess it depends what she's lookin' for in a school?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani nods at that, and hmms, "Yeah, I think she might be, but I dunno. Just... from what I know about other place, it sounds like bad news." She shakes her head, wrinkling her nose a bit in distaste. "Not my kinda place, for sure. And, no stables for Brightwind I'd bet."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi shrugs her shoulders a bit, pulling her legs up agains ther chest as she hugs them, resting her chin on her knees. "Why do ya say that?" she says curiously. "I mean...I don't know nothin' about it really, I didn't know it existed until Yana mentioned it th' other night." And of course, not in on the whole X-Men thing, or past history with Emma and such.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani sighs, "Just bad history with the person that runs it, is all. She just worries about getting more power for herself, and doesn't really care who suffers for it." Which might be unfair, but Dani hasn't seen the nicer side of her, so... yeah, going with that then.

Tendril has posed:
There's uncertainy in the other girl's eyes as she watches you, but also a certain trust, nodding after a moment. "Okay." she says simply. "Ya sound like you know way more about her than me." And she trusts your judgement, from what she's seen of you thus far. "She's a user sorta person then? Hmm. Yana seems too smart for that, though, I don't think she'd fall for it."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani nods, "Yeah, but she's pretty clever, and well, she IS rich. Kinda hard to resist that sort of stuff when it's flaunted at you." She shakes her head, flopping back on the mattress to stare at the ceiling, "But yeah, we'll have to see. I mean, they aren't supervillains or anything down there, at least. Just... snobs. Ugh."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi grins at that, then lets herself flop back on her bed, sliding her hands behind her head as she wiggles back on the bed, crossing her legs at the knee. "Well, snobs. Dealt with them before. I mean, lotsa people are snobby when ya got less than they do, right?" She shrugs. "So kinda used to it." And that was one of the reasons she often targeted them in her previous 'job', too.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, "Yeah, exactly. And living on the rez... pretty much everyone had more than me when I was growing up. Never got used to having things. Heck, you could fit most of my stuff in just that suitcase, even if you went back to my home in Colorado." It's true, she travels light. Maybe a few photos or keepsakes, but that's about it.

Tendril has posed:
"Well...we're roomies! United against snobbery and mean girls!" she says cheerfully, then rolls on her side to face you, then reaches out between the beds towards you, offering you hand. "Deal?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins and rolls over on her side, clasping Alexia's hand in hers and squeezing tight, but not TOO tight. "Deal, roomie! We're in this together, and the forces of evil snootery don't know what they're in for."
