Cast of Characters: Gypsy Moth, Molly Millions

Gypsy Moth has posed:
Sybil has spent several days learning how to use her stolen smart cloth. She is now going to test it by going aftere big game...the STAR labs manufacturing facility in Brooklyn. Not that she knows of anything specific she wants to steal there...but she is sure there must be something worth her time.

The Gypsy Moth is not seen approaching today, she has figured out how to use the smartcloth costume to change to match the backgrouns much like a chameleon, anyone looking up sees only the sky. She flits over the heads of the lab workers going in, silently pacing them as they pass through the security locks. Now to find something inside that is worth stealing and get out...

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly's no STAR labs employee, or hero type, for that matter. The lean woman in black with a pair of silver lense covering her eyes is certainly watching the STAR labs location at the moment, but it's more from general curiousity than intent... nefarious or otherwise. Oblivious for the moment at least that there's anything going on. Somewhere behind her lenses she's accessing what she can about the place to compare to what she can actually see in an at least vague effort to try and establish what kind of laboratory it actually is.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
Gypsy moth soon realizes this ia a manufacturing facility, not an experimental laboratory. There is a kind of assembly line, at one end they produce parts from silicon and plastic and metal and ceramic. Some of that metal is probably pretty valuable...but what are they making? What does STAR Labs produce other than prototypes to sell to other companies? Sybil has to be cautious as she slowly follows the line to try to reach the finish...she wants to know if the finished product is worth stealing or if she could go for the rarest metal?

Molly Millions has posed:
The same questions, if different methodology's. It was that they are among the leaders in research that had brought Molly there, and the rough list of what she could see being moved into the place suggests to her that maybe it's something up her alley. But it's a more complex thing to research in this time, and worse, there's always that worry that she'll end up accidently crossing an ally in the commission of an act. Seh's got no way, for now, to know that the place has already been compromised. But she's at least reasonably satisfied that no-one she knows is likely to have monetary interest in the place that prompts her to get to her feet and stroll casually in the labs direction, getting a bead on the cameras, guards. Endeavoring to work out the very thing... what /are/ they making in there.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
Sybil finally gets far enough up the assembly line to realize what they are making. It appears to be some kind of robotic exoskeleton...a power armor like Iron Man. She did not know there was any kind of mass produced power armor...

Molly Millions has posed:
Something tasty. The problem with being outside is that Molly has no way of knowing what it is. But the manifests she can manage to catch up suggest that it's something that would be of interest to her. The cameras, however. She's not about to attempt to go in there past those. It'd be a great way for her to wind up in jail. So for the moment at least she settles for approaching the gate and asking about the potential for a job application. Online. Of course. But at least the exercise gave her a look in the guard room and an excuse for being out there. She sticks her hands in her pockets as she turns, nodding thanks to the guard and ambling aimlessly in the other direction while she reviews what she's caught of the outside silently.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
While power armor is interesting in one sense, Sybil has no particular use for it. She stops to watch as they are custom fitting the inner suit on one person. No, she can not seriously steal the armor, she would have no way to customize it. She wonders what they use to power a suit like this, but lacks the technical knowledge to figure it out. Well, back to the materials area then...something there must be worth stealing...

Molly Millions has posed:
Retreating out of range of the cameras at least is in order, allowing herself to fade into the general street milieu. She's not going far. She hopes that maybe if she's lurking around where the employees might go, she might learn more. So she positions herself in a nearby postage stamp of a park created for the workers to relax in on their lunch break and orders herself a hotdog from the street vendor to buy herself a reason to stick around and possibly hear more.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
Hmmm, now what is this? Californium? She remembers someone talking about how rare Californium is, thousands of times more expensive than gold. This is worth srealing, and small enough to steal. Bound to set off alarms all over the place, but uif she can get away with it...

Sybil carefully worms a thread of smartcloth into the holding container while, at the same time, emmitting a psychokinetic pulse to map the security systems physical layout. OK, Release the latch here and the door there drops closed...and it is osmium so it weighs tons. Need to put something IN the door to keep it open enough to get the container out first. She uses a strip of smartcloth to rab one of the pieces of armor ceramic...it has to be strong enough to hold up under pressure. It needs to be held up so as not to break any of the sensor beams. OK, everything in position? GO.

Sybil frees the Californium container and chaos breaks loose as alarms go off and security gates come down.

Outside the building, four suits of power armor launch into the air to look for those trying to leave the building complex, and another four take up posts at the corners of the building for the same purpose.

Molly Millions has posed:
It wasn't her. Molly has to tamp down on the desire to go immediately into evade mode with the hotdog paused halfway to her mouth, but, nope. Definitely not her. So the hotdog gets at least half crammed into her mouth on the theory that an army marches on its stomach and she starts assessing the most likely escape route from the complex based on the limited information she has, tracking what she can of the four suits as she makes her way towards the lab unhurriedly. Wouldn't do to be seen as a potential target, after all, but at the same time the opportunity to witness first hand how the lab responds to a potential threat.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
The Californium is hidden in a fold of her smartcloth as Gypsy Moth flies slowly along the ceiling, blending with the bakground. People expect someone to be running away in these conditions, they do not expect someone to be hiding above their heads, blending like a chameleon. She actually uses the patrols trying to find her to get past the gates...However she has underestimatted the Atomic Knight armor, it has such things as terrain mapping infrared lasars...and so she gets spotted when the security, failing to find anything on the first sweep, begins a more in depth search...

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly crams the rest of the hotdog into her mouth as she walks, dusting her hands off on her pants. She doesn't even try to pretend she's not looking at the lab, after all, there's sirens and flying suits of armor.. she's hardly the only one. Whether or not they're liable to pick up on her guns she has no way of knowing. All the cyberware in her head and limbs probably dead obvious, but after all... she's on the outside, she's certainly not involved... well, directly. And she's not volunteering to get close enough to have one of the power suits feel the need to break off and question her, yet at least. So for now it's a free-for-all, calculating, assessing. Wondering whether it's going to be human or AI or something else entirely that warrants that kind of reaction and too curious for her own damned good.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
The first Atomic Knight to find Sybil fails t follow procedure, he does not call in before confronting her. A light telekinetic push on the right nerve cluster inside his head and he is down, writhing in agony. The Pain center is great as a way to disable people without doing real damage. Another Knight finds him though, and reports in. Once the first oner ecovers enough they all switch to sensors that can spot an invisible object.

Sybil is realizing she might have bitten off more than she can chew. Well that is the fun of it...if there is no danger there is no challenge. She needs to do something different to get away. Fortunately she has options. She hass noticed a worker roughly her build and coloration easrlier. Getting out of sight for a moment she changes the smartcloth to a STAR labs uniform. Hopefully the armoreed guys will overlook something hiding in plain sight...but she realizes she will have to ditch the Californium, it is too easy to trace...it has a distinctive radiation signature. Oh well...

Molly Millions has posed:
One of the power suits goes down, and another flies to assist. Molly might not be able to see what caused the disabling, but it's hint enough for her that under the circumstances whatever might emerge from that laboratory is way above her pay grade... and considering that's currently zero she figures she's going to slip away again, taking a thin sliver of an SD card from her pocket and slotting it into her head as she does so in order to burn the data to the external.

Gypsy Moth has posed:
While the Atomic Knights quickly find the Californium, the place stays locked down for some time. Sybil mingles with the other workers, mostly staying quiet and listening. She sees that people are being checked with some kind of sensor and figures out that they are being checked for traces of Californium. Anyone who was not working with it should not have those traces. As much as she likes her new smartcloth, she will have to ditch it to rid herself of those traces. First, she will have to find that worker, then knock her ouit and switch clothing.
