Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Blink, Terra, Corusca

Blink has posed:
It's a warm summer afternoon in the City of New York, on the isle of Manhattan. It's rare to find a place to get some peace and quiet in the busy city, but somehow Clarice has managed to find a small park, with a pond and fountain in the middle of it no less. Some could almost call it idyllic.

Water trinkles from a set of three fish, a small plaque thanking someone or other for a donation making the park possible. None of which interests the purple portaller as she makes her way through the quiet little retreat. Attempting to ignore the noise of the busy roads all around, honking and exhaust fumes smell mixed with hot asphalt and the recently turned earth of the flower beds.

She's in normal clothes today, which is to say a green summer dress that flows lightly down to mid-thigh. An I <HEART> NY baseball cap sits on her head, doing nothing to hide the loose metre or more of bright magenta hair that falls down her back, forced into straight lines... And now in waves already only hours later...

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Blink isn't the only on using this quiet little corner as a place to relax a little. Resting by the pond itself on her back, inelegantly (but comfortably!) sprawled on the grass is a young woman with short mussed black hair.

She's very obviously wearing a costume, but doesn't seem to be that worried about people seeing her, or not thinking about it a bit, having pulled off her knee high boots to set to the side as she wiggles her bare feet on the grass, enjoying the sound of the water next to her.

And, aside from that, the feel of the recently turned earth nearby, turned neat and tidy to support the flowers. She can appreciate some good landscaping. Today, Terra is taking advice from a friend...which was to stop and smell the flowers. Did that. Now she's just enjoying the sun a bit and letting her thoughts wander pleasantly.

Corusca has posed:
A warm summer afternoon brings a thought to basking in the sun. Now the problem is that when one basks in the sun.. one normally expects to do that on a chaise or perhaps sprawled in a natural state. It's rather hard to do when one is a dragon. So the alternative is something altogether different. There are a few rock formations in Central Park, leftovers from the last ice age. Smooth, ice carven stones that arch a little too steeply and are a little too high for the average person to climb. And.. would be a little too high for the average person to notice are a little higher today than they were the day before. Such is the power of illusion. Of course, if anyone were to start climbing that rock they might be in for a bit of a surprise. They might be even more surprised to see a bit of that rock open an eye and focus on the heroine in black.

Blink has posed:
Oooh, a hero! Or at least someone in costume. Such is the risk one takes when wearing their costume out in public. But the woman also seems to want her sun, so being the consdierate youth that she is, Blink moves around to the side that won't be blocking the sun, before taking a seat on the edge of the fountain.

"Hey there... You look comfy." There's a big grin to reward Terra should she open her eyes, the mutant's own glowing green orbs don't seem /quite/ so glowy in the bright afternoon light. "I'm Clarice, just thought I'd come say hi... But tell me to go if you want some more time..." She gestures a hand towards Terra and her sprawled state. "Sunbathing?"

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Terra has this strange feeling she's being watched. She's not sure why, though that rock over there feels...a little...off? Her violet eyes open, starting to peer more inquisitively towards said rock, before Clarice's arrival distracts her as she looks back over, then smiles cheerfully at her.

"Hi Clarice! I'm Atlee." she says in a friendly way, her eyes filling with interest as she peers up from her prone position, then frowns thougfully. "I'm...not sure. Is that like bathing in water?" she says tentatively. "It's a nice day though, so I was enjoying the warmth.' She pushes herself up, leaning back on her hands as she leaves her legs just splayed out comfortably for the moment as she tilts her head. Clarice might notice, she's one of those rare people who doesn't even take that moment to stare a little at the colors or such involved in her appearance, it's like she doesn't even really take great note of it, other than a brief glance at, of all things, the length of her hair, which she seems to admire a little bit with a quick glance. "Were you going to sunbathe here too?" She wonders curiously.

Corusca has posed:
Rocks aren't supposed to blink. This one probably didn't. It was most likely just a glint of light from embedded quartz in the stone. Amarantharial inhaled slowly through her nose, the air whistling slightly near the rock. Unusual? Perhaps, but not outside the realm of possible. Not sensing any magic about the pair, she relaxed and went back to watching them curiously. Her eye settled upon Terra once again but she was content for the moment and exhaled a low rumbling sigh.. that could perhaps be mistaken for a distantly passing bus.

Blink has posed:
"Oooh, are you another alien? Like Superboy is?" Clarice asks with animated aplomb, quite happy apparently to be talking to people from other places. "Sorry if not, just... Sunbathing, is, you know, what you were doing. Sitting in the sun... Bathing in it's warmth I think?" She gives a shrug, her hair lifting in a soft breeze that seems to come from a different direction to the rest of the breezes today. How odd...

Deciding it must be nothing, the grinning mutant answers the other question belatedly; "I was just out for a walk really, it's warmer in Genosha than here normally, so I tend to sunbathe on one of the beaches there." As if that explains everything.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
"Oh! Then, yes, I am sunbathing!" the petite girl says as she grins at Blink. She notices the little rustle of of the other girl's hair curiously but doesn't seem to stare much at it. "I am...technically an alien, I think.' she says curiously. "But from Earth! Just, not...well, the surface." She admits it fairly freely, really, pulling up her legs so she can rest her arms over her knees. "I don't think I have seen Genosha yet, is it pretty? I do like beaches!" she says agreeably. "It doesn't feel as sturdy as earth or rock, but there's something nice about the way the sand sort of flows and shifts..."

She's distracted slightly by the rumbling noise nearby...her head actually turns to look in that direction now as she gets a curious look, her eyes flicking over that direction curiously. Hmm. No. No sign of trouble! Maybe she just imagined it? She looks back to Clarice. "I don't think it's nearby, is it? It's a long way to come for a walk!"
