Date of Scene: 08 August 2017

Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl

Starfire has posed:
So this whole thing had kinda started organically.

Cue Starfire, four days ago: "Friend Cassie, why do you use such unusual weapons?" No doubt an explanation was given, and Greekery was thrown around somewhere. "So. You are somewhat related to this most wonderful of women, who is a fervent warrior and fond of peace?"

Another beat then. "Oh, you /must/ show me! Let us go, now!"

Of course, right /then/ there was a problem with mole men. So things got delayed. Or if Cassie expressed discomfort. But just about every time Cassie had run into Starfire, it came up in conversation. "After dinner?" Another beat. "Do you think now?" "Now?"

And the stars of a schedule finally align to well... now. It wasn't that Star was particularly planning to meet Wonder Woman, but the amazons proper, and she chats merrily to Cassie as she flies along. "You know, on my home planet of Tamaran, we are considered to be a ferocious warrior people as well," she says - angling her dive to land right outside the consulate. "Perhaps we could learn from each other - train each other in skills, yes?" she says, her smile just about beaming as she just starts walking for the door of the place, nearly as soon as she lands - her eyes mostly on Cassie as she goes.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Amazons-a-plnety were on-hand at the Consulate today. Well, if one would consider four Amazons to be 'a-plenty'.

Diana Prince was at the Metropolis Consulate, she had been for the past week since she returned to the shores of the US after dealing with the sea monsters that struck a cargo ship in the mid Atlantic.

Diana had come back to the Metropolis Consulate because it was the closest to the Hall of Justice and the closest to her most informed contacts... You see, she was trying to track someone down, a certain someone who gave her the slip on said cargo ship.

Inside her office, within the east wing of the main floor of the Consulate, Diana was seated at her desk, wearing a white slim-fit dress that went down to her waistline where it was met by a matchin skirt that draped down to her knees. Her black hair was tied back in a braid that laid down her spine. She was seated in her office chair, her back was straight and she was reading over messages sent to her about this mystery-man.

Until one of her Amazon sisters spoke from the door. "Visitors are arriving, your highness." A soft feminine voice said. It came from the redheaded Amazon known as Adrastea.

Diana looked up, across the room to her sister.

"Cassie and a friend." Adrastea added.

Diana's chin lifted up and then lowered in a singular nod. "Please, greet them at the door then and see them here to my office if they're here to see me." Diana knew that Cassie didn't always come here just to see her.

Adra would bow and turn to move toward said goal of meeting the new arrivals at the front doors of the Consulate.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"We're not really related like she is to the other Amazons on Themyscira, but she's kinda like, I dunno, adopted family? She even used to babysit me when she worked for my mom, not that I needed it!" Cassie had explained, to her ever-curious alien friend, once they were finished discussing the oddities of ancient weaponry and lightning-lassos. Whatever conversations (and interruptions by mole men!) might have followed from it likely involved other scattered mentions of her own odd past and how she came to her Amazonian instruction. She never seemed hesistant to talk about it, although the lives of Superheroines do tend to face numerous scheduling conflicts. Doubly so when one is taking college classes full time!

Until one day that "Now?" was met with a happy "Sure! I don't have any classes today and it doesn't seem like the world is exploding. Let's go!"

So a brief flight over, maybe more chatting, and there they are. "Oh, sure. I'd love to learn some of your Tamaran-fu! Heh, I'm still kind of an amateur at all of this, so I bet you've got plenty to teach me. Or maybe you can show off to some of the other Amazons, there's usually a few here." And while they're not actually technically there to try and pin down a meeting with Diana as opposed to just exploring some of her newly-acquired cultural background, when they're met by Adra and she tells them that Diana *is* there, well, whether or not they were originally there to see her... "Oh she is? C'mon Kori, let's go!"

This may be prompted by some slightly improper-for-a-foreign-consulate running / flying in the hallways concluded by Cassie barging into the office with a big grin. "Diana!" Possibly also some flying over her desk to tackle-hug the woman, or it at least it looks that way!

Starfire has posed:
Now, Star wasn't quite expecting a visit with Diana herself - she had in mind a vision of flying on over, engaging in rough and tumble wrestling with any amazons who were game for such an event, loudly proclaim that this was a joyous occasion, and bring the wonderful Earth food pizza in plentiful amounts to cement a newfound cultural contact.

But it was swiftly starting to look more and more like Diana was someone important. Kori lets her glowy green eyes draw down to hoods, and she leans over towards Cassie, to whisper, "Is..." a beat. "...Diana the leader?" Diana being the wonder woman wasn't something that really clicked so far.

"Hello, friend Amazons!" she calls to Adra. "I am Starfire, also called Koriand'r of Tamaran..."

The introductions continue on in such a fashion with them for a time. And Star would slowly have the weight of the situation start to get through her Tamaranean skull. She was dressed in her typical Tamaranean war clothes - with her focus crystal - green and brilliant - on the center of her chestpiece, which was long-sleeved, and very purple. She also wore purple shorts underneath a purple skirt that reached down to a little above her knees, the rest of her clothing being purple (she likes purple) boots that go up to her knees, and had strange alien shimmery to them. Like they were almost a piece of armor. That she didn't wear anywhere else.

Oh, and she had (purple) gauntlets also with green focus crystals on the back. As Cassie barges forward to flying tackle Diana, Starfire cannot help but let a grin dance along her lips. But only for a moment. She shoulda worn her fancy stuff. "Hello, Diana of Themyscira," says Star. "I am Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran, known as Starfire among the Earth people." (Did she mention she was a princess to Cassie or any of the others? Probably not before now.

The words she spoke come with a bow, her arm folding across her front as she dips forward in a distinctly Earth fashion. Straightening up again, Star says, "It was my hope to come here, to learn and teach the arts of war, and to share in a delicacy from around here, an Earth pizza. If we... have your permission, of course."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Adrastea was wearing a fine white robe that had gold inlaid designs across the collar and down the front toward the hem at her feet, her firey red hair was braided tightly up and around the crown of her head. She greeted the two at the door with a soft smile and polite gestures of bowing and nodding, though Kori would definitely get a few more odd lingering looks since Adrastea wasn't very experienced in meeting non-humans.

Once lead to the doors of Diana's office, Adra would move to attempt to open them... only to be beaten by Cassie's rush. Adra would take up a position just inside the office and watch, green eyes moving between the new bodies within the room as they spoke.

Diana, herself, would rise up from her chair as the doors opened and she'd be prepared for the charging embrace from Cassie. She accepted it and returned it with a big smile and a soft laugh, having not budged even an inch from the lunging hug... indicating she was quite a sturdy physical object in this world.

"Hello, Cassie. Welcome home." Diana said in her warmly non-American accented voice. "We were not expecting you, surprise visit? I hope all is okay..."

Diana would then avert her blue eyes to place them onto Kori. She'd dip her chin in a respectful nod to the new comer. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess. I am always eager to meet new faces from new cultures I have yet to come to know." A warm smile was shown, she'd look between the two of them. "Pizza?" She asked. "I can ask our cooks to prepare some?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Hey, that's one of the advantages of seeing her adoptive Amazon family. Cassie can greet them with full, unrestrained enthusiam and not worry about smooshing anyone. It can be a lot more trouble around her normal human friends! "Oh, no, everything's fine. This is, well-" And Koriand'r does more than a sufficient job of introducing herself, so Cassie leaves her to that, though she blinks a little when another royal title gets thrown around. "Yeah, my friend Kori. She's leading the Teen Titans right now, and I've been working with them. And pretty much I was just telling her a bit about my training and stuff, and she wanted to see, and I figured this was a slightly easier trip than all the way to Themyscira." A mild understatement!

After satisfying her need to squeeze, Cassie lets go and drifts back just a touch so she can land on the other side of the desk, half-turning so that she can can face both of the other women. "But I didn't realize she was a Princess too, so I guess this is some kind of diplomatic thing now." Crossing her arms over her chest, she gives a slight pout and little huff. "It's like everyone I meet is a royal envoy or ambassador of some place. Kaldur too, and that underground-girl I met the other night... I kinda feel left out!"

But this show of childish annoyance is mostly just that, and her sunny smile quickly returns. "Yeah mostly we were gonna steal the gym and practice a little. Kori's people are kinda like the Amazons, I think, real serious warrior stuff." Then, with a little roll of her eyes, "She really likes earth food, though some of her tastes are kinda strange. Like, don't let her put anything weird on the pizza, or make sure they bring it on the side if she asks!" No mustard pizzas!

Starfire has posed:
"Look, your hair," Star had whispered to Adrastea on their way up. "It is almost the same color as mine! Mine is more orange, but still - yours is most beautiful," she says. But this was before she enters diplomatic mode. Also before diplomatic mode - wide smiles and waves towards Amazons that stare. One might get the impression that if left to her own devices, Star would have floated up and greeted every last one of them.

Which would have taken a while.

"You do not have to have your cooks prepare some!" she enthuses. "There is a place, down the street," says Star, pointing in a direction. When you flew everywhere, using the streets to navigate was a bit odd, but she took that phrase to mean 'near'. "That creates these pizzas, and it is most delicious," she says. "And he told me that you can tell the worth of a pizza by how much of the grease that it leaves behind, and I can confirm that his pizzas do leave a copious amount of cooking grease behind on their plate." A beat, and she scootches a bit closer. "...or one's hand."

As for Cassie's enthusiastic greetings - perhaps Star could learn something from her - as she was never afraid to apply excessive pressure to show her unrelenting ~joy~ at a meeting. Star brings up her hand, and kinda flip flops it around, limp at the wrist. "It is no big thing. Technically, my sister is tyrant of Tamaran, so I am not certain that being a princess really accounts for much," she says, bringing up a hand to kinda scratch the side of her neck. These things were said with a casual air, so one might suspect that it didn't bother her much.

Which would be wrong, but one step at a time. Kori glances towards Cassie at the last things said, her mouth kinda open with an almost -gasp- of betrayal. "The chef said these things were not weird, but creative! Are you still mad at me for the mustard and chocolate pizza at Beast Boy's welcoming?!" she says, her hands coming up to rest on the hips proper.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Adrastea showed a pleased smile after Kori paid her that compliment, but she otherwise remained a dutiful and diligently silent guard near the office's entrance.

Diana listneed to Cassie and she nodded gently toward her, a calm stare upon her face as she continued to stand there behind her desk. "At last we spoke, Cassie, you were mentioning construction at the Titan's building? Has that wrapped up?" She inquired before showing a slight grin to the young one. "And you are more royal than most in this world, but... that is only a valuable asset if you make it one through positive actions. Otherwise, its meaningless."

At Kori Diana would then look to, an amuased grin showing upon her face after hearing the girl speak. "Well you seem to be enjoying your experiences here on our world... And that much, I am certainly happy to hear. Not so sure about... greasy pizzas though." She held the grin for a moment. "Either way, the offer stands, the both of you can stay here and have your fun in the practice hall, have dinner and even stay the night if you would like. There are many rooms in this place afterall, rarely do they get guests. Which is sad in a way."

Diana would lower back down to her chair and adjust a few items upon her desk, slipping some papers away that were apart of the man she was researching.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Oh yeah, it's all done, and real fancy. I've got my own room and everything, though I stay at the dorm still a lot," Cassie explains away happily. "I'm hoping all of us there can really do some good! Though I'll miss always tagging along after you. What was up with the sea-monsters? Sounds like I missed some fun!"

She again looks back and forth between the other two, particularly at that talk of the meaning of their royal titles and Starfire's mention of her sister, frowning just a little. Obviously, since she'd not even heard the title, the full story isn't one she's heard, although she can grasp just enough to imagine there must be more to it than her friend lets on. But she doesn't bother pushing her on that, and instead turns to the much happier topic: Pizza!

"There *is* something about good, greasy, hole-in-the-wall pizza. Don't you like them, Diana? Maybe they're not as good in Metropolis, I don't know, but the ones in New York are *the best*. So yeah, we could just order a couple of those, not bother the cooks." Then she shakes her head at the alien girl, laughing at the reminder of that truly 'special' pizza. "I'm not mad so much as... jeez, I didn't think there was a way to make pizza inedible, but you discovered it. Anyway, we can always just order two, one with weird toppings and one with *normal* things, like, pepperoni or whatever."

The serious business of pizza aside, she grins broadly at Diana's offer. "Oh, that sounds great. It is kinda sad you don't have more visitors, but I'm sure some of my other friends would like to visit sometime, too. They all get pretty psyched when I tell them about the Amazon stuff, and *toooootally* jealous that I know you. So I'm sure they'd all love to come meet you and the others and maybe do some practice too. You're like, a serious role-model, you know?!"

Starfire has posed:
Star kinda quirks her head at Cassie calling the pizza inedible. "There was none left the next morning!" she enthuses.

Mostly because Kori ate most of it, the rest taken up by the brave and the daring. Whether or not they finished it was another matter entirely. But again Cassie calls these toppings weird! Star manages a pout for a moment, sticking out her lower lip.

The Titans Tower construction - and indeed, most of the fun money that the Titans threw around, was provided by a foundation. A mysterious shell foundation called 'Citizens for a Brighter Tomorrow' that seemingly had limitless amounts of money to throw into a Tower. Which... narrowed the list of potential people funneling money through this company very minimal. Regardless, Star - unaware of the nature of Earth politics, rarely questioned.

And one wonders how many of the Titans actually question where it all comes from.

"Well, yes, of course she is a role model as the most wonderful woman," says Star to Cassie, the Tamaranean kinda kicking off the ground, and starting to float. She does this by folding her heels to her butt, essentially, keeping her knees pointed downward as she kinda drifts over towards Diana's desk. "Mustard and pepperoni?" offers Star to Cassie in a compromise.

Star was looking to the papers.

"Diana of Themyscira, the most wonderful woman - is everything alright?" she asks, letting her green eyes track down to the papers. "You seem quite concerned about the papers," she says, bringing up a hand to kinda gesture towards the desk.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana listened first to Cassie's exuberant youthfulness and it made her smile. "I have heard things..." She quietly respondeda bout the role-model part there at the end. She'd then finish with her desk organization and look back up toward Cass. "We will have to get you to Italy some time to try some real pizza, from Naples." She showed a sly grin then for just a second or two. "Though there are a few good places around here and Manhattan as well... I suppose." She was teasing of course, at least a little.

"I am glad that the work at the Titan's facility is complete. I hope that all of you..." She looked from Cassie to Kori also. "Remember to stay safe, however... Yes, the lives of a super powered hero can be 'fun'. But they can also be astronomicaly dangerous, for your safety and for the safety of those that we are dedicating ourselves to protect. Be careful." She offered a light-hearted message to them.

When they both asked about esentially the same thing, being that of what happened on the Atlantic and the items on her desk... Diana looked down and then summoned a small smile. She shook her head once right to left. "I was stupid and I let a potential threat slip through my fingers that evening. I am trying to find him now, to repair my mistake." She lifted her eyes back up at them. "We rescued the crew of the ship though, so by and large it was a good day."

Another small grin showed as Diana put her fingers together, leaning foroward with elbows on her desk and her small chin resting atop her fingers now. "You two are going to inflate my eog, coming here to shower me with praises." She said then with a smile. "Truly appreciate. But you should go and do your training in the practice hall before it gets too late and the pizza places fill up with ravenously hungry customers."

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Because you ate it all!" Cassie will say outright what was obvious. "Sheesh. I mean, it's fine if you want chocolate too, just next time, we can get a pizza AND a cake, you know? And if you want to stack one on top of the other that's totally your perrogative!" This is perhaps a good window into what life at Titan's Tower must be like. For what its worth, she's never expressed any curiousity over their funding or any of those little trivial details either. When you grow up knowing a bunch of superheroes, you can end up rather nonchalant about their ridiculous lifestyles! "We'll be careful, though, don't worry," she adds on the more serious topic of the dangers of hero-ing.

Then, abruptly: "Kori, Kori no, that's why we're getting two. Or, I guess maybe we could ask them to do half and half. They'll do that sometimes, for when, like, you've got someone who REALLY likes anchovies or whatever, and his friends are too chicken to tell him they're not food. You're basically *that* guy, Kori."

And then as Diana suggests going to Italy for real pizza, she points out: "I actually have gone, with my mom, on one of her digs at some Roman ruins way back when. I was pretty surprised they didn't have a lot of normal Italian food in Italy." Yep, she said it. This is what happens when you get a blonde from California as an honorary Amazon, as opposed to the typical mediterranean bunch!

But even if they're settled on most of those details and maybe ready to practice, she does have to wonder, or offer, "Who got away? I mean, you know if you ever need any help, I'd never really mind playing sidekick again..." Forget her friends idolizing Wonder Woman. She's the #1 Fangirl!

Starfire has posed:
"But there are many Amazons - we will only get two?" she says, looking over towards Cassie, her tone of voice kinda high pitched - much in the manner of when she was uncertain if she was treading on social mores or cultural values or not. Still floating, she kinda lowers her float, and tilts to one side, kinda rotating, mid air, towards Cassie. "I am this guy who likes anchovies? Those are the little fishes, yes?" she says, pointing at her own nose.

Rotating on an axis, she kinda spins back around towards Diana, still pointing at her own nose. "Would you like to go to Italy as well? I can fly!" she informs. She was floating at the moment, so that was probably a safe bet if anyone was betting on her ability to fly or not. At the more serious nature of Diana's words, though, Star kinda brings her feet down to rest flat on the ground, pulling her hand from the tip of her nose in a brisk gesture, to finally stand. Another moment, and she corrects her tilt, to stand up straight.

"The Titans are here, Diana of Themyscira, not just for fun," says Starfire. "But - we are here to be brave and powerful in the face of danger. To learn how to be heroes and to protect this Earth that we are commited to. Not just for the pizzas, but for the people and animals and everyone else that lives here," she says.

"And... from what I have heard of you, if the Titans can help with this man, we would be most honored to offer our help in finding him, and helping to repair what has happened." A beat. "At least, Cassie speaks very highly of the Amazons, and you have a reputation."

A handful of moments, and she steps backwards. "Please consider our help in these matters! And..." a beat. She kinda takes off again, kinda turning her float towards the exit door. "Thank you for welcoming us to your consulate. Oh! We will be having a pizza party soon. You can come, and play video games, and talk about the gossip too, if you would like!" she enthuses. "Not... this pizza party we are about to have, but at the Tower. It will be most fun."

Wonder Woman has posed:
The argument over pizza toppings was amusing and endeering to Diana, she grinned at the two and just gently shook her head in response to it. When Cass asked further on the identification of the man she was seeking, Diana's blue eyes went down to the dark red folder she'd slipped the papers back into.

"I have not yet found his name." She said. "Though I think I am close... Simply waiting for some returned messages from some friends." She'd look back up to Cassie then. "And should it be a situation that I need assistance on, I'll make sure that you and your friends are brought onboard to handle it."

At Kori she'd look and she'd smile to the young one with the pretty hair. "I am good at a lot of things, but video games are not one of them. I think I am just too old." She'd grin for Kori then and nod her head one time. "If we can find the time for an Italian trip so that you can experience the wonders of really amazing pizza, then we should do it."

Diana would put her hands back down ontop of that dark red wined colored folders and she'd smile at both of them. "I am glad that you have all found each other, I see many wonderful years ahead for each of you so long as you remain together, as a team."

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Well not literally that guy..." Cassie ammends, flummoxed as ever by her alien friend's literal takes on things. "But, yeah, the little *gross* fish." Ultimately, though, she just kind of gives up, or at least gives up on stressing the pizza details. It will probably be a quasi-disaster no matter what!

"She's right, Diana," the girl then echoes, taking up the more serious conversation, even as she watches, with some fascination, how Kori rotates through various strange positions in the air. Obviously flying isn't weird to her, but the Tamaranean still somehow manages to look exotic doing it. Still, she goes on, "We may all kinda be the little leagues, but we're serious about what we do. You know I've always been serious about it, even when I was a kid with no powers! Heck, I helped you fight some pretty scary things even then! So don't forget us."

With that said, and once Kori starts hovering off, presumably for their training, she seems ready to go and tackle that as well, though she can't help but seize on that last bit about their own Titans party, video games and all. "Oh, c'mon. It'd be at least one thing I could actually beat you at!" she boasts, grinning. "Plus I'm sure it'd psyche up everyone to get a thumbs-up from one of the big-leaguers."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods her head. "A trip to Italy sounds most wonderful." Another beat, and she kinda turns her eyes down towards Cassie, whispering, "Have we been to Italy yet?" she asks. A handful of moments more, and she gives a wide, pretty smile up towards Diana of the ~gorgeous~ hair.

"We will do so! And... okay, no video games, even if they are most exciting." Starfire returns her attention to Cassie, though, starting to kinda tromp towards the door proper. "Oh. Yes, that would make sense. For I have not had anchovies on my pizza except once," she says, holding up one finger in response to Cassie. When to take humans literally and figuratively was a challenge for her. But they were a strange ape people, and she had to be understanding of their strange ways.

Opening the door - or smiling at an Amazon that does it for her, Star spins towards the others. "Maybe not video games - but the volleyball, perhaps?"

Star was lingering just outside the door. "Or another sport, yes."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listened to the two and then begin to rise as they started to exit her office. She walked over to a book shelf (one of many) along the western wall. She paused while reaching for a book and looked after them.

"I do not consider the two of you to be in the 'little leagues' either." She said after them, smiling just faintly. "The things you deal with are every bit as important. You save lives, as much as I do."

And with that said, Diana slipped a leather bound book from its place and then turned back toward her desk. "Have fun you two. Do not smash the place to bits." She teased just a bit whilst walking back to her chair.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Um, we met that Italian lady who I'm pretty sure wanted me to marry her grandson, but otherwise I don't *think* so," Cassie whispers back. "Unless maybe you flew through there when you first came to Earth?" She's never sure what wild misadventures the golden space Princess might get up to!

That little aside... aside, she hop-floats over back toward Koriand'r and the Amazons near the door, unconsciously probably finding herself flying more when she doesn't need to when she's around Starfire, as some of the alien's casual ease with it seems to rub off on her, like friends picking up on each other's slang. She looks back, and beams with a bit of pride at Diana's response. "I do hope you stop by, even if you don't wanna get shown up by some kids at video games." Ahem. "We got other sports, like Kori said. And the pool. Though you gotta watch it, 'cause Beast Boy's a total perv around chicks in swimsuits. Or like, just kinda in general. And he sneaks up on you."

At the door, she comes up beside Kori and even flies into her in a friendly shoulder nudge. "Alright, looks like we're on! We'll be good Diana! Bye!" And then, a second after, "C'mon, race you there!" And yes, Starfire doesn't know the way and it's kinda cheating! Zoom~~
