Park After Dark
Date of Scene: 08 August 2017
Location: Columbus Park, Manhattan
Synopsis: Iron Fist and Hawkeye take down some drug dealers. One drops a clue about where to find bigger fish.
Cast of Characters: Iron Fist, Hawkeye (Bishop)

Iron Fist has posed:
Anyone watching Columbus Park carefully tonight will have a good chance of spotting a small orb of light dancing through the shadows, much in the way a will-o'-the-wisp might. Closer inspection will reveal the light not to be a fantasy creature, but something attached to an arm attached the shoulder of a costumed martial artist. A fist, perhaps, except those don't glow, right?

Whatever is going on, it eventually impacts the dark form of another person, which literally flies through the air from the impact before hitting the ground. Hard. So hard the thud can be heard from the street. A second individual is then forced against a tree. The Iron Fist - costumed fighter in question - stares this second person down before demanding, "Your heroin. Where does it come from?"

So hard the thud can be heard from the street. A second individual is then forced against a tree. The Iron Fist - costumed fighter in question - stares this second person down before demanding, "Your heroin. Where does it come from?"

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Something whizzes though the dark, to strike another thug drawing a bead on the Immortal Iron Fist. It produces a mass of hard black foam that knocks the guy flat. Feet scamper towards the fight in progress - a lady in black with heavy sunglasses, a bow and a quiver with a sword on her back.

Iron Fist has posed:
It's a woman pinned up against the tree, twenty-something, wearing a lot of denim and big hoop earrings. She struggles to say something, and so The Iron Fist loosens his grip just a touch. "You," he says, wheezing. "You don't scare me."

The man in the yellow mask rolls his eyes and looks about to say something else when the third bogey is dropped nearby. His attention swerves in that direction and eventually lands on the archer. "Who are you?" he asks, the alleged drug dealer still held tight.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"Your guardian angel, I guess." she says. "I'm Hawkeye." she scans the area from behind her sunglasses... low-light vision-like. "I know you didn't call for backup but here I am anyway. What's the play?"

Iron Fist has posed:
The Iron Fist considers this for some time, even as his catch of the night is squirming in his grasp. Eventually, a lightbulb goes off somewhere and he releases his grip entirely. The woman drops to the ground, scrambles to her feet, and then bolts.

"Make her talk," he says, stepping aside for Hawkeye to go after the escaping criminal if she chooses. He crosses his arms over his exposed chest, bearing the "tattoo'd" symbol of Shou Lao the dragon, and eyes the archer curiously.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate draws another arrow, somehow knowing which one is which. She lets it fly after the woman and the arrow spews out more gunk, this sticky and black as it gets close to the fleeing subject. It tangles up her feet and she goes sprawling. Hawkeye chases after her and she puts away her bow as she goes. As she nears she draws her escrima sticks, which spark in the dark. "FIfty thousand volts." Kate warns the girl. "It's gonna hurt. Where's the heroin coming from, the man asked you."

Iron Fist has posed:
The Iron Fist watches carefully as this mystery woman goes about extracting information. Her tools may be different than his, but they have surprisingly similar techniques.

On the ground, the woman makes a few select strings of colorful speech before coming face to face with the escrima sticks. She swallows hard and eventually, "I don't know. But I can tell you where it's going."

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"I'm listening." Hawkeye says. "I need names and dates and times, then you might get out in one piece." she bluffs. "Maybe even without needing dental work." Being in the dark, all in black does add to the intimidation factor.

Iron Fist has posed:
The Iron Fist walks over to the tree he recently held the small time criminal up against, taking up a more casual stance as he leans against it. A smirk appears on his face as Hawkeye seems to be getting somewhere with her tech and hard talk.

On the ground, the woman has an expression of fear mixed with mental calculation. Probably going through her personal escape routes or imagining different scenarios of punishment she might soon find herself in. Eventually, her eyes close, and she mumbles an address in Clinton. "Please, they never tell people like me much."

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate Bishop bends down to touch something to the entangling goo and it dissolves quickly. "Alright. Find a better way of making a buck, huh? If I find out you lied or you warn them, I'll find you. I _promise_. She seems to be letting the woman go.

Iron Fist has posed:
The woman looks up at Kate, confused. "What do you mean /warn/ them? I need to get as far away from them as possible now," she says, scrambling again to her feet. She seems to hesitate a moment, glancing between the archer and the martial artist, before she just bolts. A life-changing event her, probably.

Iron Fist doesn't seem to care much about that, though. His interest is on Kate. "What's your name," he asks, pushing off the tree to join the woman in the middle of the park.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate's spent arrows are already starting to dissolve, a chemical reaction turning them into dried bits of carbon fiber.

Kate turns to the Iron Fist. "Oh, didn't I say? I'm Hawkeye." she shrugs. "Did you hear the address and stuff? Sounds like you'd need more backup than me for that little adventure."

Iron Fist has posed:
The Iron Fist shrugs and says, "You mentioned that, yes. I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to people needing to separate codenames and birth names. Learned that one the hard way." He stops a few feet away from Kate and nods. "I heard. Know the place?" He lifts his chin as he poses the question, as if considering whether a team-up like this would be a wise one.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Hawkeye shrugs. "Not really, no. But I'll find it and scope it out for you if you want. I usually try to recon before I bust a place... I usually want a way or three out since I'm not a ninja like you, Dragon-boy."

Iron Fist has posed:
The martial artist looks thoughtful for a moment and eventually nods. "Call me the Iron Fist," he says, perhaps not taking to Dragon-boy as Kate might hope. "If you're up for it, I wouldn't mind another set of eyes. Tomorrow night? Same time?" He has other business to take care of before daybreak. Tracking these low-level guys for info was more time-consuming than he thought it would be.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"You got it, Iron Fist." Kate replies. "I'll be there with bells on." and she grins. "No bells. Ninjas hate bells." She stifles a yawn. "I guess I should go... look for some other wrong to right. Yeah, that's it."
