Vorpal (87) has posed:
"M'ijita- se s-se la llevaron en un camión..." the woman was sobbing hysterically. Her face was wracked with grief and she leaned hevily on the fifteen year old boy who was her support, and who translated quickly for his mother, his nerves on edge.

"They took her in a truck, or a car like that. But it looked armed. I tried to s-stop them but-" he trails off. The wound on his shoulder speaks volumes. It looks like a moderate burn, and he will need medical attention.

The Titans had been disturbed from their various evening customs- some winding down from day patrols, others getting ready to go out at night- by the cry coming from Raven's room. The distress signal had felt like a telepathic blow to the temple, clumsy and unfocused. It felt like the touch of someone who had just started awakening to their powers and sought a mind- any receptive mind- in the area... and because of their lack of training, ended up overshooting one hell of a lot. Fortunately (by accident? hard to tell) the brief and desperate call had contained a sense of 'place', so it was relatively easy for the teleporters of the team to provide transportation. Thus, they fortuitously happened to arrive only a few moments after the altercation. Between hastily interviewinng the mother and the nearby witnesses, the scene was easy to reconstruct: An armored truck with mirrored windows came up to this family as they were walking down the street, and took away the smallest daughter by force- a ten year old named Amalia. The brother tried to stop them, but they shot at him with a gun that produced a bright light instead of a bullet.

"Alright, Titans... It looks like we don't have much time to waste. I wish we had Kory here... but.."

The Cheshire cat tries to think quickly. "We need a bird's eye view to see if we can spot that van, and rooftop-level hunting to complement that. Raven..." he turns to the mysterious young woman. He speaks a little quieter, "That thing you sensed... see if you can pick up the trail of it?"

He stands back. He can only make suggestions, since he isn't really anyone in the team. But- he's clearly disturbed by the kidnapping of the little girl.

Beast Boy has posed:
"Bird's eye view. I can handle that," says the Green One. He wastes little time shifting into a fast flying starling and taking off in the direction the family pointed that the truck went. Vorpal might not be a full Titan, but Beast Boy isn't one to 'give orders'. He tends to follow them. So, at the suggestion from the orange tabby, the green boy acted.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth turns her head to face Vorpal, her brow raising quietly. "I don't do that." she states, slipping her hands into the pockets on her hoodie. "I sense and alter emotions. It leaves me telepathically active, but I'm not a tracker. I can fly and look for them, but Beast Boy would be better for that." she offers, watching the greenie make his way into the air.

Amarok has posed:
Dan arrived later than the others, being just a normal human in armor, but he arrived nonetheless. If he feels anything for the poor family and their plight, it's hidden behind his wolf like mask, not a hint of sympathy escaping in his tone or demeanor. He casts a look at some skid marks in the road that one would assume were left by the kidnappers, "....There's a couple places in that direction that could house an armored car. I could sweep a few of them quick enough, but if they're not looking to hide nearby, it'd be time wasted." Comes a calm and modulated voice from the wolf mask.

Vorpal (87) has posed:
"Right, I'm sorry, I need to get the full lodown on your powers soon." Vorpal has found a new form of embarrassment: Mis-powering someone. He figures this is karma for calling Booster Gold 'Green Lantern.'

"Ok, Gar's taken to the wing. Wolf, give that tracking a go, we don't really have anything else to go on-"

The wave of nausea hits hard, all of a sudden. There is a telepathic component, but there is also... emotion. Fear, terror. The other two may not feel it as vividly as Trigon's daughter might, but the emotion is there. When it passes, there's the faint suggestion of a direction from which the pulse came from. East.

"... that wa..." the Cheshire cat points, before having to take a quick bend-down to take a deep breath and not toss his cookies. Then, when he's recovered, he starts taking off Eastward. "Wolf, Rae, you can take to the buildings for a better view. Beast Boy, do you see anything? I'll cover the ground..." he pauses and looks at Raven. "You... can fly or teleport, yes? I'm so sorry. I should be better prepared." This was a mess.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth watches the cat impassively. She seems to not-react to the whole thing, which is genuinely the worst possible reaction... Because it's neither anger, nor forgiveness. Neat. Raven feels the wave the strongest, but all the same, she is by far the most ready. "The telepath is... Reaching out. To anyone and everyone." she states, the momentary lapse in her calm minor, for the moment. "We should go. And, yes, I can teleport us. That will not be a problem, because I can both fly, and teleport."

Amarok has posed:
Dan Richter stiffens as the psychic wave hits, his head lowering a bit and a low growl escaping as he reaches to brace his brow with a hand. After a moment's recovery, he looks up, "...Got it." He looks to Raven, "Gotham Art Mueseum, there's a good vantage there we can watch the streets from, if they're trying not to draw attention they wont be there yet. Can you get us there?"

Beast Boy has posed:
The tug has the green starling veering eat and spotting the truck.

"Hello!" Beast Boy tells the truck even though no one can hear him, at all. His little eyes sweep the area, looking at the traffic and where the car is headed. If birds could grin like cats that caught canaries... Beast Boy would be grinning.

Dragons, on the other hand, can TOTALLY grin.

The starling shifts into a dragon, wings pulling tight into his body as he dives into a low swoop, all four limbs reaching out to try to collect the truck from the street the way a hawk would collect a rabbit from the grass.

"YOINK!" quips the Dragon Boy... Beast Dragon... Dragon Beast Boy as he goes for the scoop.

Some day, the Titans will have a communicator that can shift WITH Garfield... or a telepath so there's better communication. Today, however, is NOT that day.

Film fan? Pete, the Magic Dragon, just scooped down out of the sky to grab a speeding truck out of traffic. Yep. That happened.
